Remedies against K9s / random pull outs for seemingly no reason.
inorigj replied to Mortem's topic in Criminal Suggestions
I need to just jab in here real quick. and just say. Sending a player to DOC and "suspending" a player from a faction is 2 VERY different things. and depending on the time of day. 1 is equivalent to OOC punishment and 1 is a IC backstory to why a cop is acting the way they are. they can't even be compared to each other. DOC in its current state, depending on the time of day. is a OOC Time out. giving as much RP as if some staff member Froze you and teleported you 1000 meters up in the air for an hour. a suspended officer can still interact and built character. Thank you for your attention. -
+1 yea, they were removed to keep them rare. now that they're not. there is no reason not to.

+1 Also please change the icon picking list from a "list" to an ID system. or both. it gets so laggy not even half way down the list. Could use the RageMP blips list. RageMP Blips list

Factually incorrect but go on. Bala was asking me if it was true or a myth. Bala knows I'm just out here making up bogymen. When I'm presented with facts disproving my statements I always correct it, but on this matter. I've had it personally tested and had it confirmed in person. So I know its true. If you don't believe me, I recommend taking 2 or more with 350+ fps and equal amount of players with 70fps and do some straight away testing. all in the same cars, with the same mods. maxed engine, highest suspension, any spoiler and off-road tires. **Note: We're not going by the Hud showing our Speed. because that will say 240. As your game will think its going 240. -

players with higher FPS will surpass 240. not just reach it. their Speed-o-meter will say 240, but they're going faster -

I did more research in to it. and yes. was working on wrong information. so that's on me. and no, limiting player FPS can be done by making a server client side script that forces the player to be set to a max FPS. so yes, its not a command. but can be introduced as a script. Notice the difference is something else then getting eyestrain. Your brain can notice the flickering. this does not effect your eyes unless you're playing in a badly lit room with a bright screen, but at that point. that's not even the FPS's fault. that all on you. -

to set some facts straight. Wrong. this is very easily done using RageMP's own Server console on the Dev's side with a simple command. **Edit: argument taken back. Further research disproves older information. your eyes are not affected by something like this in the slightest. You're only affected by this if you've got epilepsy. your FPS is connected to the way the [R.A.G.E] Engine handles and calculates physics. Even in singeplayer. High FPS was the root cause of some game breaking bugs in the story missions even. A lower speed cap would not affect the issue in regards to "skill and fairness" just how fast the car and go overall. A player with higher FPS can win 100% of the time with the same car with the same mods every time in a straight line due to how much faster their car accelerates and with the speeds it can get up to. Plus 240 for someone at 40fps. is not the same 240 as someone with 300fps RageMP and GTA Online handle speed and physics client-side and then send the information to the server. when your game is telling ECRP "I'm going 240" you might be going 300 on someone else's screen. ----------------------- On another note. players with Higher FPS also add more strain and resource use on a server due to having more packets to process from that specific player.
