Improving LSEMS Roleplay / Server Attitude towards Medical Roleplay
Eliza replied to lLizzyl's topic in Game Suggestions
The issue is that a lot of players don’t really see medical RP as “actual” RP. Instead, they see it as something they have to sit through before they can get back to whatever they were doing. That mindset usually leads to pretty lackluster interactions from the medic’s perspective. The reality is that EMS treats the same handful of injuries over and over again. Nine times out of ten it’s either a broken leg or, if it’s an arrest, a gunshot wound with enough bullet holes to make Swiss cheese jealous. It gets repetitive, but the people in MD generally aren’t there because it’s the most action-packed faction on the server. They’re there because they genuinely enjoy that style of roleplay and want to create interesting medical scenes for other players. Medical RP is never going to compete with the constant action that criminals or law enforcement get, and that’s okay. The problem is that a lot of players treat EMS as an obstacle instead of another opportunity to roleplay, which makes it difficult for the faction to stay engaging over the long term. I think that’s why suggestions like this have merit. Right now, the server gives players every opportunity to skip interacting with EMS or reduce that interaction to the absolute minimum, so that’s exactly what most people do. It’s not necessarily because they dislike EMS players, it’s because the mechanics don’t really encourage them to engage with medical RP in the first place. I’m not saying every single injury needs to turn into a 30 minute hospital scene, but I do think the server should do a better job of making EMS feel like an actual part of the roleplay instead of an optional stop people avoid whenever possible. Whether that’s limiting when PD/SD can stabilize people, requiring players to properly seek treatment to heal, or some combination of the suggestions above, I think the current system reinforces the mindset that EMS is just a delay instead of another opportunity to create roleplay. -

It used to be enforced as nonRP to taser from a moving vehicle but to my knowledge it’s still enforced as nonRP to shoot a gun through something like the back of a Monstrociti
-
I agree with the suggestion but I think people could abuse the credits

You can use bags to help with this, however still +1 from me

I believe I am confused, do you believe it is Powergaming for an officer to treat you and then BLS you until a medic who specializes in treating somebody arrives to take over treatment? I mean this respectfully because I am not sure what you are suggesting without interpreting it as a way to avoid arrests due to dying.

Thank you Matt, I had forgotten what the limit was and thought it was more than 2, I partially retract my last statement and now think MD should be called first before stabilizing, unless it’s already something practiced. Either way if a cop provides treatment people will always deny treatment and give the most detailed injury RP to stall the timer unless it’s a homie treating them after a gang shootout
-
Most of the time when police shoot you IRL, they will provide treatment to you as fast as they can, watch bodycam videos on youtube of SWAT engaging their suspects. I do think that if there are MD on shift, that they should BLS with /cpr rather than stabilize though so it extends your life rather than just make you immediately good for hours and hours.

The old RP way can be more powergamey because a cop can just RP whatever method they use until it’s successful. I agree that on paper in a perfect world that it would be better for RP but in practice the old way was just cops point a gun on you and force you into fearRP with no counterable way. If you roleplay resistance then their colleagues or officer will pull their taser and just tase you after they read it before you can manage anything significant vs just passing the skill check and potentially being able to enter a vehicle or something The script makes it easier on cops because before the script, they typed cuff RP so often that it felt repetitive and boring to arrest somebody.

I think the entire alias system should be removed entirely, and only show player IDs. If you RP with somebody enough, you’ll be able to recognize them based on their clothes and voice
-
I think FM should crack down more on enforcing lore vehicles instead of meta cars for gangs

Who is the suggestion for? - Staff members who handle community suggestions, as well as players who actively use the forums to submit ideas and feedback. Why is the suggestion being made? - The suggestions section can sometimes become cluttered with duplicate or very similar suggestions, causing good ideas to get buried or overlooked. This idea came from seeing repeated suggestions and a lack of organization in forum discussions, making it harder for Senior Administration or Founders to efficiently review community feedback. What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? Pros - Keeps the suggestions section more organized and easier to navigate - Prevents duplicate suggestions from flooding the forums - Makes it easier for strong suggestions to gain traction and visibility - Creates a more efficient line of communication between the community and higher staff - Allows Senior Administration and Founders to focus on reviewing refined, organized suggestions instead of sorting through repeated threads Cons - Would require additional staff positions or responsibilities - Could slightly slow down suggestion approvals if the team becomes overloaded - Players may disagree with merged suggestions if they feel their specific wording or ideas were changed How should the suggestion be implemented? Create a dedicated “Suggestions Team” within staff whose primary responsibility is managing the suggestions section. Team members would: - Review incoming suggestions - Merge duplicate or near identical suggestions into one main thread - Archive low effort or spam suggestions - Help clean up or clarify suggestions when necessary - Forward high quality or highly supported suggestions to Senior Administration or Founders The team could also maintain statuses such as: - Under Review - Forwarded to Management - Accepted - Denied - Implemented

Prison Break RP – Why Is It Such a Hassle?
Eliza replied to Dexter Nevermore's topic in Game Suggestions
Prison breaks should just be a scripted activity where you could talk to an NPC, and the script cooldowns are put in place. If you begin the process of a prison break maybe the prison alarms go off and police would get alerted. -
New patch fixed this issue I believe

Digital licenses are cool, don’t get me wrong, but letting a cop go through your entire phone just for them to see your identification just ain’t it.

I’m a crim player and I see the point but in my experience the best practice that I do is to just always assume the freq is comped and that somebody could be listening. If you say you’re cooking at X location, and any crim hears that, they’re probably going to get their boys to try and get your goods. I don’t see why a cop should treat it any differently if they hear it. If you’re more careful about saying locations and stuff that you probably don’t want cops to hear, then you’d be surprised how less you’d get pushed

+1 Typical W post from Pazz

Legal Services and it's role in overall server operations.
Eliza replied to Marksy's topic in Game Suggestions
They do get paid per patient they drop off at a hospital on top of their hourly, but I do agree with the whole statement that factions should get paid a portion of the work they do also, on top of hourly pay -
-1 Just rob them if you’re that much of a loot goblin, most only care about guns and drugs, packed money, car parts, or other criminal items

I have read the thread. Tables have been gone for 2 years, huff as much copium as you need to accept that it isn’t healthy to be cut off from other players while printing money for zero risk. It makes to difference whether you’re inside a property or doing so outside while blocked inside buildable walls
