I think it’s just shitty to promise your community an entire roadmap and only release two things from it, being the criminal activities and an incomplete racing script that still can’t have community tracks added, with no communication from the developers on what the progress is. It just makes me distrust that we’ll get future content at all.

This should be in general, pocket wiping is just cringe. I agree with most of the suggestions on this thread. I also think a lot of the frustration comes from the lack of communication around development. Even small updates or teasers when something gets finished would probably go a lot further than people think. Right now it just feels like things are in limbo, and that’s where most of the frustration comes from.

I don’t wanna be that person, but this one’s kinda on you. You probably would’ve been fine if you just kept flooring it instead of doing everything possible to hand them a reason. You blasted past an officer doing like 200 through the city, let them catch up, let them follow you, turned on cruise control, refused to comply, and mocked him. And now you’re upset that you got arrested for driving recklessly? Yeah, PD/SD have issues, no one’s denying that, but people like you are just as big a part of the problem. You weren’t "given no chance to talk," you created a situation where talking was never going to happen. You basically put the arrest on a silver platter and then got mad when they took it.

+1 Force first person, add recoil, disable automatic weapons from being fired

This isn’t how it works. Appeals are decided by a higher ranking staff member than the one who issues a decision, mostly handled by a senior admin. You are correct in saying that the issuer gives their input but that is only to justify their reasoning or if they believe somebody is ready. The final decision is not up to the one who issued it. I’ve had some of my decisions reversed in the past. The entire process is explained in the decision appeal guidelines

This wouldn’t work unless we completely rework DOC and JB to give trials before your sentencing, which will never happen, because in the real world bail exists as a payment to say you will go to the court day so you don’t have to wait it out in jail.

Remedies against K9s / random pull outs for seemingly no reason.
Eliza replied to Mortem's topic in Criminal Suggestions
I think the best solution would be for an actual K-9 script that can detect whatever the dog is trained for, and will take factors into play like stuff in the trunk or where the car has been. This is a viable solution if you don’t mind waiting 11 real life months for it to make it to the motion of discovery. By the time the case gets concluded whatever charges you had won’t be held against you for getting a job. -
PvP is healthy for roleplay as long as it’s not the main focus. Conflict RP can progress gang beef. This would be beneficial for everybody for RP purposes. PD would get wiped less because taking tires would require actual skill, and criminals wouldn’t get beamed by a zero recoil AP pistol from 200 meters away. Also it would be beneficial because you couldn’t just spray someone down in a helicopter with a rifle that has zero recoil.

For transparency, the reason this is currently handled the way it is comes down to the nature of in game staff chat. These chats can contain very sensitive information that, under staff guidelines, cannot be shared. This is something that is taken very seriously and is strictly enforced. As it currently stands, this is what is outlined in the Player Report Requirements: All videos and screenshots may not be edited or tampered with in any way. Video evidence must be viewable with readable resolution and screenshots must be of appropriate size to clearly see all text. Audio should be present in all videos and no evidence can be cropped. Because of this requirement, staff cannot simply blur or block portions of a video without violating the existing reporting rules. In an ideal scenario, I do agree there could be a better middle ground. A potential solution would be having two versions of the video: One version with sensitive staff chat properly censored, provided for the reported player so they can clearly see the context of the report and explain their actions, and a second, unedited version provided privately to the handling staff member so they can fully and accurately review the situation.

I agree. The argument of them being rare goes out the window when you can just buy them with real money.

To my knowledge they typically do both at the same time just to do it at the same time but if you’ve already done your OOC interview your best bet would be to ask whoever did your it to see what to do next. But most likely they will reach out to you to schedule an In Character interview with you

I agree. The report culture is so bad and I think we should take into account if meaningful roleplay is created or if an outcome was actually impacted due to a minor rule break before a punishment is issued or deny more actual petty reports, and we need to completely remove refunds with the exception of cheaters and bugs. We’ve fostered this environment as staff for far too long where if you took an L all you have to do is skim your footage and throw shit at the wall to see what sticks and you get your items back. We’re one of the only servers that do this. Also while gunfights are healthy and play a big role in gang beef I also think we just need to ban people that only log on and play to clap.

Add a max amount of people that can do activities together
Eliza posted a topic in Rules Suggestions
Who is the suggestion for? This suggestion is meant for both criminal and law enforcement players, mainly those involved in organized crime scenarios and major police responses. Why is the suggestion being made? This idea comes from seeing a lot of situations turn into number-based shootouts instead of meaningful roleplay. Entire gangs are sometimes able to stack together and overwhelm smaller groups, while law enforcement can also respond with very large numbers. When this happens, it often feels less about strategy or roleplay and more about who has more people online at the time. What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? Pros: - Helps prevent entire gangs from grouping up and wiping smaller criminal groups. - Stops situations from being flooded by excessive law enforcement response. - Encourages more tactical, roleplay-focused scenarios rather than pure gunfights. - Creates more balanced and enjoyable encounters for everyone involved. Cons: - Larger gangs or departments may feel slightly restricted at first. - Would need clear guidelines so players understand when exceptions apply. How should the suggestion be implemented? - Set a hard limit of 5 criminals allowed to participate together in a single criminal activity. - Allow up to 8 LEO to actively respond to that situation at one time. - Include an exception for situations that naturally escalate on scene (for example, if someone starts shooting at a gang HQ, anyone already present should be allowed to defend). With these limits in place, the backup breach rule could potentially be removed, since group sizes would already be capped. -

Cap server FPS to 120 or add a 220 Speed cap
Eliza replied to Jay_Valentino's topic in Game Suggestions
I’m not getting 120fps on a ryzen 9 5900x and a 4070 -
+1 its not as bad now with the arraignment form and reduced prison time, but it used to be so bad being injured in a shootout, then being stabilized and left wherever you are, then having to wait however long for the situation to conclude (sometimes taking over a half hour) before even being taken to DOC to start your several hours prison sentence

Huge W Silky! I also encourage criminals to give law enforcement a try! Not because I'm trying to start another one of those threads, but because I think it is good for players to see both sides of the street. I believe it would be beneficial for everybody to see what the other street has on their side that they have to experience.
