“Just because something is traditional is no reason to do it, of course.” Last year, Burnout Nation hosted a massive car meet where the focus was pink to spread awareness about Breast Cancer, the car meet came together spear-headed by Don Mozzarella, who is a huge supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With a few founders gone, and many faces vanished, tradition is something Burnout Nation takes seriously, and this October was no different, Don, Asbo, Jamie and Hazel all knew they were gonna pull off another car meet to raise awareness, but could it be as good as the first one? While standing at LSC during their campaign to paint the town pink, Asbjorn reminded Don that he had a Remus that he bought a while ago for their next event, and they both agreed it should be used in the breast cancer awareness meet raffle, but then a lightbulb went on in Asbjorn’s head. ‘’Hey… Don.. we should raffle away two Remuses’’ said Asbjorn with a huge smile. ‘’And why’s that?’’ Asked Don with a raised eyebrow. ‘’Because boobies come in pairs.’’ Asbjorn smiled and laughed, and ofcourse, Don couldn’t keep a straight face, and like a proud father watching his son hit a homerun, Don nodded. ‘’That’s the best idea I’ve heard.’’ Of Course the Meet was gonna be held at Burnout Nation’s property, known as ‘’The Lot’’ They threw a few advertisements up, a blip, and waited. And it didn’t take long for people to pull on in. Although the theme was pink, Burnout was just happy to see people join in on the car meet. Petrol runs in Burnout’s veins, and the more cars show up, the happier they are. The Amarillo Aces, a fellow car club, pulled up in massive numbers, and because they’re extended family of Burnout, they repped the pink hexcode Burnout used for October. At the end of it all, seeing old faces like Bruce Wong, and new legends like Brody King, Don, Asbo and the rest of Burnout felt proud that despite it being a long time ago, people still remembered, cared about, and showed up for their second Breast Cancer Awareness Meet. Although Asbjorn knew it was probably because of the raffles, he didn’t care much, he was there with his family and friends, all gathered around cars, laughing and spreading awareness for a good cause. Now came time to raffle off the winners, around 360 raffle tickets had been bought, two people were gonna get lucky and go home with two fully maxed Remuses. First winner was Yass Mora! And once the wheel spun again, the second winner was found! Ali Valentine! With the raffle being over, and the car meet coming to a close, people started to leave. Asbjorn heard a loud rumbling in the distance, and looked down to see all of his homies from The Los Santos Motorcycle Club pull up just to show their faces, which was of course appreciated. Stay tuned, The Annual Burnout Nation Breast Cancer Awareness Meet V3 will be even bigger! Just like last year, we won't claim we started the whole pink trend on the server, but a lot of our friends, both legal players and criminals all changed their cars pink to show support for the survivors and victims of breast cancer, it touched my heart to see random people I don’t even know use our hex code and just drive around, for us it means alot. Born the 13th of March, 1979 Andre Monk had a somewhat steady childhood, living on the corner between Covenant Avenue and the infamous Grove street with his parents Lamont Monk and Layla Monk, with a handful of siblings Andre was the oldest and was often had the responsibility of looking after the rowdy siblings, which he didn’t mind, it kept him from gangbanging and drug dealing, which was on the rise in his neighbourhood. When not in school, which he excelled at, Andre would be helping out in the family business, a local grocery store that his parents owned. School and work was Andre’s routine for many years, until the year 1992, where the Los Santos riots broke out. The riot led to fights, which led to robberies, which led to arson. And nobody was spared, black or white. The Monk family tried their best to defend their shop from looters, but a molotov cocktail was thrown into the window of the shop, and it caught on fire, eventually burning down. Andre, now 13 years old, and big for his size, standing at almost 6 feet. clenched his fist as he watched the flames tear down his family business from the inside out. He was angry, he was furious, but most importantly, he was sad, it wasn’t the police that just ruined what their family stood for, it was someone from their own community. Lamont Monk turned to drinking, which led to mental and physical abuse in the household, one day when it was particularly rough, Andre couldn’t take it anymore. After Lamont hit Layla across the face, Andre grabbed a led pipe and defended his mother, beating his own father to an inch of his life, leaving him to sit in a wheelchair for the rest of his life until his passing in 2005. Andre had gotten a taste for violence, so he did what any young thug would do, he seeked out a community that would fit him, and he had one group in mind, Ballas. completing his trial and becoming a member, by 2001, now simply going by Monk, had become one of the spearheads of the Ballas, dealing drugs, stealing cars, doing drive-bys. He was living the life as scum of society, the type one's mother warned you about, however, his world was about to shatter when he was rung up by the state police, announcing his beloved mother Layla had passed away in a drunk driving accident, it broke Monk’s heart to hear the news, and he was soon contacted by his little brother Reginald, a couple of years younger than Monk, was now seeking refuge within the Ballas. 10 years rolled by, 2011, a nice august summer. Reginald and Monk was chilling on Grove, sippin 40’s and passing a blunt, the peaceful tranquility was shattered by the sirens of incoming police cruiser, they smash their brakes in front of the two Ballas, they hop out and forces Reginald up from his seat and throw him in heavy duty cuffs, Monk who was tipsy and had the feeling of a good spliff, he saw blood, he grabbed a nearby leadpipe, like he had done many years ago to teach his father a lesson, and charged at the police, and a brawl breaks out, he ends up cracking one of them open with a single swing, the other officer, who held Reginald was picked up and put in a choke hold, while Reginald ran for it. Monk had taken out two officers on his own, but it was too late for him, as backup arrived, and he was arrested. Training, meditation, studying languages and culture, Monk was sentenced to 11 years in the state penitentiary, he became quiet and reserved, he only spoke to very few people and just focused on making his body and mind a Shaolin temple. Now the year was 2021, August, and Monk was released. Was he gonna take over Grove or help the new Kingpin? Only time will tell.

Today marks the one year anniversary of Burnout Nation, and what a year it has been, from our start, to our lowest, from losing members and gaining members, it has been a remarkable ride. Burnout started as an idea between 9 people, and although only 4 of the original 9 remain, we’re still just as strong! Bez Kentworth, Winter Black, Frost Black, Diego Lionetti and Maccy Kentworth helped shape the faction to what it is today, and although no longer with us, they’ll always be remembered for the hilarious and fun memories we created together. Right now Burnout is being lead by Don Mozzarella, who at first wasn’t too sure about taking the leadership when Maccy wanted to step back, but considering Don has been the backbone of Burnout since day 1, he was of course a natural leader, who has helped create some of our biggest and most memorable events. Underneath Don sits Hazel and Asbjorn, Hazel manages to balance being both the brand new CEO of Weazel and being the deputy chairwoman of Burnout Nation, always helpful with events and always sociable. You all know Asbo. And ofcourse Jamie Richardsons, always helpful and willing to go the extra mile for Burnout, when we were first planning out our leave from the LSMC and starting the club, he stood behind us and helped us with pretty much anything we needed and he became our missing piece of the puzzle! And he did win us the D10 in the pink slip race. We also have 2 cruisers who are second highest rank to grid, that being Alex Odinson, who’s most famous for being the biggest simp and for clapping himself on BMXs over and over. And Gary Taylor, who at first wasn’t too sure about Burnout, but once he saw our potential as a club and a family, joined us and has almost been with us as long as the founders. Despite us being best known for our amazing and well put together events, we’re all just a big group of friends who loves vehicles and time spent with family, (cringe, yes I know) We’ve had some amazing and memorable events though! Our first massive event was a race at the docks with Elegy Retro Customs, where we had almost the entirety of PD come support us with barriers and barricades, and ofcourse, they had a cheeky race with their vehicles after everyone left. Our car meet at Malgoodies was mind blowingly big, cars for as long as the eyes could reach, which gave everyone massive headaches, but hey! It was worth it. The Drag Race at Sandy Airfield where you could compete against fellow racers to see what car was the best, we had Larry Wrozek come down and cater some amazing food for all the riders. Our latest big event was the Diamond Casino Derby, which was the brainchild of Peter Stanford. It was a huge success with many laughs had, and crashes, but that's expected. We’ve held a lot of Car Meets with prizes and raffles, and it couldn’t have been done without some of our friends who believe in us and are always willing to help us, such as James Eriksen, John Purmineli, Paulo Witherfork, Steamboat Beers. And Roderick Marchisio. We’ve always been very close to two other factions, that being Daichead Gadai and Assured Services. Daichead Gadai was a very special bunch, although they are very illegal, we always had a BLAST with them, the various parties at Steamboat Beers, and Asbo’s Birthday, where 6 greased up Irishmen came and gave him a lapdance, noone from Burnout will ever forget that, and hopefully neither will the strippers, we’re saddened to see them disband, but all the original Irish members, such as Collie Fegan, Stephen Joyce, Eoghan Macc, Jaymes McClean Lola DeValera And Jake Okibi will always be legends and family to us. Assured Services is a legal group like we are, although more on the business side of things, our relationship with Paulo Witherfork is relatively new (but strong) We’ve always had a connect to them via another legend, Chris Crawford, who most of the founders met in the LSMC back before Burnout was a thing. Now Assured and Burnout go like PB and J, whenever they gather for an event, it will be a huge one! I’d like to thank Tyrone Cox (Timmayy) for ALWAYS helping us out with our events, building them and so forth. I’d like to thank our handler team, led by Aldarine, along with Caesar and IAmTurtle for always giving us constructive criticism and pointers for what we could do better or what we’re doing perfectly. Thank you to all the ex burnout members who helped create some amazing memories for when we first started to now. Here’s to another year of Burnout Nation!
