+1 really should be able to take off clothing items at any time

Before i even dive in, just go play GTA:O, you will have more fun, you clearly want more pew pew and less /me /do. -Yes i would agree that you should be able to loot officers, but you have to understand that this is a game, and in what world do criminals just constantly go to war. This is a game and there would be no restrictions for people to just fight the cops 24/7. Additionally, what? not a single faction needs to have a single person that is giving out stuff when theres a script to support it. But looks like you want this so there would be more shootouts with PD and that it would be actually worth doing so. -Well this is an RP server, and gangs do fight if there is a need, but again, why should they waste resources shooting at each other? Again, you want more shootouts. -Would make sense for drug prices to go up, as long as drug drop off would be eliminated. Right now, you can steal whatever someone has gathered for quick cash. The reason why in real life drugs make more, is because there exists a demand for drugs, while here you just drop them at a location, absolutely no reason why they should give more money, when there is no real demand. -Honestly, i dont see PD patrolling on drag bikes. I feel like what you consider "roleplay" is deathmatching and quick winning. You want more action, you want to be able to make money fast, which is not roleplay. I honestly recommend putting more time into the server to learn more about how things work, because from these suggestions all i can see is a person who wants to have a lot more shooting and a lot less roleplay.

i doubt that a non-emergency phone number would suddenly have officers show up. It really depends on the time of day to see if officers will be there or not, sometimes you just have to wait.

I think that there is no need to have an official faction for this, if the dev team would choose to put in houses (also have no idea if they can, but most likely can) then they would just do it and there would be no need for people to "work" to get them set up. For the renovating/building part, you can start a construction business, have something built on your property, have the interior changed. Again, no need for an actual official faction, and i think since we dont really have people advertising such jobs at the moment, there is no real need for such an official faction. Not everything has to come from the devs, a big part of your suggestion, can come from people willing to take this on.

+1 It is always good to have more activities, and i feel that with the recent update in GTA:O, a lot more resources should be available for such additions.

ah shit, here we go again

I think that could work, but the problem now is that vehicles get stalled way too easily. But i also dont want to get constantly robbed, imagine you stop at a red light, someone comes up with a motorcycle and a guy on the back with a gun, they yell demands, you drive away, and then they start chasing and shooting you.

I think that no matter how professional anyone tries to be, there is always gonna be a bias towards one side or the other. I think it doesnt make sense to just have the same factions admins handle reports against that faction (at least for in-game reports, forums are different as the cases are viewed a lot more before a final verdict). And regarding the overall quality of the staff, they are doing a great job in most cases, situations where something is overlooked get handled, at least from what i can see, but look, there have been members of staff that were removed from their positions and even banned, due to abuse of power or willful negligence, so could make a lot more sense to have someone who doesnt have a horse in the race handle those reports.

Honestly, its just a pain to go furniture shopping as it is really easy to get robbed there, as it is the only one available. Would be nice to have another one or even a couple more, just because furniture has become a lot more important with people opening up a lot more businesses, more building opportunities etc. +1

I have to agree with @Jasmine here about increasing the financial penalty if you want reduced sentences. I think maybe even give people the option, either pay with money or pay with time, but it has to be a penalty one way or the other. +1 on more things to do, because why not.

The thing is, that only housing prices are going up. Fuel at this point is really cheap across all stations, food and drink are stagnant, cars cost the same (if not cheaper due to competition), etc - you get what i mean. Only housing goes up, but that is due to more people and less housing aka low supply and high demand as housing is finite while everything else is not. While this is a game, it is also RP, it is not meant that a person shows up, plays for 5h and buys a house. If you just up the pay of the default jobs, you would just push everything up. Someone would still play more than you, make more money and the houses would still be bought up and sold for even more. Lastly, while i do feel that in an RP sense each choice of work should have its values, but some jobs do require more skill and commitment so there is no reason why a job that requires no skill should pay as much. And you need a clean record, so either commit to crime and make money or commit to not breaking the law and go into official faction jobs, but honestly, doing part time crime and creating an easy way for criminals to get more money should not be how it goes.

+1 Gonna put in from DCC perspective here as i can provide the best insight there. We currently have prob the smallest lot among all factions and half of that is taken up by the car spawn for faction vehicles, meaning we have half the lot left for parking. As such our IC solution is to have the parking spaces left given to members of management and Employees of the month. The rest of the employees have to make use of the parking lot in the casino or other places they can find. The issue with this is that it leaves our cars vulnerable to people stealing them, as they are in known spots and due to the nature of our work, are hardly ever watched. So people either have to take cabs to work or just log off at DCC, to avoid the trouble of having your car stolen while youre on the other side of the map. We do not have big gated parking lots like the other factions and we do not have the comfort of a NCZ. Additionally, we are on the road 90% of the time, so if our cars are being stolen, it is likely that we can't reach the location in time. Unless we could build a parking lot somewhere to protect cars (there is a parking lot close by towards mirror park) that could be walled and gated if we could get those permissions), we would benefit very much from having the ability to store our cars in the provided manor.

Look, i am up for open conflict for gangs, it could create some more interest rather than everyone being at peace, but i think this is a half-assed idea. This suggestion is exactly for the fun and further rp. - So there we go, for fun and honestly, not much further RP can happen because spoiler, if you kill them, based on our current rules, the NLR to be specific, they forget it all, the gang whos members died dont actually know how they end up in the hospital and that ends RP really fast. And you added what conditions could happen, well, if only the party responsible for declaring war decides if the war happens or not, you would ruin the game for the rest. You are literally talking about a gang being able to declare war on another gang without its consent, and if they want to surrender the declaring party has to ACCEPT it and also give demands to the losing party. This is where it goes bad lets say. This would definitely create RP. All 3 of the biggest gangs could just split all of the small gangs up and have them in a constant war state OR in a constant vassal state (they would be stuck paying taxes). I honestly do not see how this would benefit anyone. You would just create open deathmatching on the streets, reports might actually go up because just as Aldarine mentioned, people will mess up and kill people not part of THE gang that you are at war with OR even end up killing people not related to gangs and lastly an example of what i mean: The zetas declare a war on you - you lose because well numbers matter, you are paying them a tax. But ok, next month they cant do anything (even though your rules are again in the disadvantage of the losing party) The triads declare war on you - you were an easy target for the Zetas, some of your members quit because at the end, people want to progress, and sitting trying to pay off a tax for losing a war is no fun, so you lose to the Triads and again, you are stuck paying taxes (see where im going?) Third month - Honestly imagine playing 2 months not for your gain, but for the gain of others. Can basically delete the faction thread because the big factions can bully you. They dont need to tell you to disband, its gonna happen either way. All im saying, is that i would be interested in a faction war system, gangs do need to have the ability to fight each other without fear of reports 24/7, but: - It has to not be so much in favor of the aggressor - It can't punish the losing side so hard - and most importantly, IT HAS TO ENCOURAGE RP AND NOT STRAIGHT UP BACK AND FORTH SHOOTING

But the ones who will more likely declare wars are the bigger ones on small ones. Zetas, Triads, Wanted - all have a good amount of people. And as big organizations, they can have good reason to want to go to war with smaller ones, as small ones usually have a lot more to prove. Then for the Admin approving, that is a good way to go about it, but again, the fact that the other faction has the only right of knowing that its happening, rather than having a say if it happens seems to just be a case for wanting to shoot people without any RP apart from the initial declaration. Next, you didnt address the fact that the other faction can just surrender the moment it begins, there is nothing stopping them from doing it - WHICH is why you need the other group to agree to the war, so something actually happens. And lastly, what i think is the most important when giving suggestions, whats the point? You did not write down any reasons for the war turnout, nothing is at stake, no significant items, no turf loss, nothing. This is a pure deathmatching mode suggestion, because if the idea would be approved, the first war (if it lasted more than a few hours) would just end like nothing happened, some grudges would be made, some friends would be lost but at the end of the day, things would just continue the same way. There has to be something to go to war for, that would be more official, than just having a reason to go to war with someone so you can shoot on sight at them.
-
-1 No way should it be allowed for a 1 sided declaration. And even if 1 side declares, the other side can just surrender the moment it begins. This just feels like an excuse to run around shooting people with 0 RP for a month (at most). Imagine 1 party declares war, the other party doesnt want it, and their leaders are away for a couple of weeks. What can those grunts do? die for 2 weeks straight? Wars would need to be agreed on by both sides. but even then, i think this would just create too much trouble for everyone involved.

Hello, This is a very straight forward suggestion. Currently, the housing problem is mainly caused by people needing to have more houses so that they can store all of their cars. I don't think its an issue that people want to have a lot of different cars, but the problem that comes with this is that single individuals will end up buying up a lot of houses (particularly 3/4g houses due to it being easier for more to be in 1 spot) to store vehicles. The solution could come in a way for people to be able to buy more garage space for their houses (up to a cap, wouldn't make sense to have an apartment with 20 slots), for a smaller fee than a full on house would cost. This way people could sell houses they don't need, spend some of that money to get that missing parking space back and additionally make some money. This would free up more houses as most people have multiple houses for the sole reason that that is the only way to have more cars stored. I just think that a lot of the more veteran players are sitting on a lot of houses, just because they do not have an alternative, so why not give an alternative?

Petition for Mick Reefer to Resign as Chief of Police
CaesarSeizure replied to Thebearski's topic in Roleplay
Hello, I honestly think that PD are doing fine. The only issue i would like for the current Chief of Police to change, is that sometimes it looks like the officers take calls just to take calls. A single guy running from PD, should not cause 5 cruisers and likely 10 officers to start chasing him. The PD needs to evaluate how it responds to calls, because when i see small incidents for non violent crimes have 4 PD cruisers at the location, i think that is an inefficient way to deal with these situations. If PD adjusted its response to suit the situation more (rather than everyone taking a backup request and then chasing a single individual out of the city) we could have more officers ready to respond to more situations and would definitely help with the way PD is seen. I think that could be added, but should only be applicable to when they already have you on your knees, because honestly if someone came up to me with a knife, id just run.
-
Well there has to be a game aspect to that, in real life, if you try to get into a firefight chances are you will die. Here you will just respawn. So there has to be a manufactured fear for your life, as we can't recreate real life loss.

Ye i think it should be a standard we strive for, but not something we should be forcing people to do.

I think the correct thing would be to just not log off in the middle of the street, like any spot that is out of direct sight should be good enough. I do think it is not the best when you log off right in front of someone because it might also cause some weird interactiosn when you do log back in. Additionally, not everyone has housing. There is a limited amount of housing for an ever increasing population and the fact that house prices just go up and up as people just keep buying and reselling properties is not helping (but that is a whole other issue). Personally, i just go out of sight and log off, almost all the time you will be in a spot where it will take less than a minute to log off out of sight (lets ignore IRL emergencies as they are rare so should not be something we base anything on), but i just go out of sight and log off. When i come back, im almost always out of sight for people so when i do start doing something im usually just "showing up".

+1 ive been in a couple of situations where my car was blocked of an escape route, at that point, it doesnt matter that technically im not under FRP, but in a real situation, i would be. I can't drive away, i have guns pointed at me - Im under FRP even if the rules do not state it that way. I think the issue comes with FRP being a strict set of criteria rather than a dynamic one, where certain situations would just put you under FRP, while even being in a car. So i would be all up for people trying to wall you off and not let you get away, that would put you under FRP, but if some guy (like there are a few reports of) try to wall my car off with a bike, i should have full right to just blast through them without it counting as VDM - Walling someone off should be enough to count as engaging in roleplay, but motorcycles should not be used for that. Additionally, i do not want any kind of situation that could be created, where i cant just drive around in piece, for one i just think the current RP from people who just drive up and try to rob you is really poor and additionally, i just sometimes want to enjoy my car without having to fear for my life everytime im out doing something.

+1 for ammo, it is just dumb to buy a gun for ammo, would also be cheaper.
