+1 The fact i can fit as many things in a schafter as in a drag just doesn't make sense.

-1, quite a few legal jobs pay decently relative to the risk involved. Adding more labs because you are not equipt enough to take it over from its current occupants or are afraid of the confrontation is not a good idea in my opinion. I might be inclined to see a reason for more labs to be added, but not for the reasons you have stated. More labs would generally mean less overall interaction at each lab with outsiders since they would have more options to go to. Illegal work is supposed to have a large risk involved, adding a few more lab locations because you don't want to confront those who occupy the labs currently on the server removes part of said risk. If the server continues to grow then maybe I could be convinced otherwise, but how it currently is I personally don't see a use for additional labs.

The cooldown sounds like a good idea to deter players from griefing the same player over and over who can be an easy target and 15mins isnt that long. +1 to that idea Big -1 to the HE/LE being NCZs though. If you extend it to HE/LE i think there can be many other locations that can be put up for debate if they should or shouldnt be NCZs RPly.

There is a line to be drawn between game mechanics or scripted things and IRL, and i think this is one of the things that crosses it. What else is unrealistic is the amount of crime that happens in the server compared to IRL, No Crime Zones, PD cruisers, supers, or other unsuited vehicles that can go up mountains and a thousand other things. At the end of the day this is a game, it has mechanics and rules that can make it more realistic and others that make it less so but can be considered necessary. Having a vehicle disappear after you stole it is far, far less realistic than you stealing it in the first place and i don't think anyone can disagree with that reasonably. Maybe they can add a mechanic where once in it the GPS will remain until you pull over and interact with it and remove it? But i do not think the solution to this issue that will lead to improved RP is to keep it how it currently is, having them randomly disappear for the thief.

When you obtain a faction vehicle by either robbing the occupants or finding it stranded after a situation it is very annoying for the person who stole the faction vehicle after they put in the effort to steal it to have it disappear. This happens because the one who it was stolen from went off duty or spawned another one. It ruins the RP of the person who took that vehicle, it vanished out of thin air and all their plans are basically ruined. Obviously we cannot let a worker be able to take out unlimited faction vehicles. Maybe a good compromise would be a faction worker can each have only X amount of faction vehicles out at a time (X to be determined, and obviously higher than 1.), and once it passes that amount the oldest vehicle would be despawned. This would still screw some people over if they have long term plans with the vehicle, but i think it is a much better solution than what is currently happening.

-1. This shouldnt be a scripted thing for PD to get alarms. Some people use tow trucks to bring vehicles to an empty location (mountains, middle of desert, etc.) to then lockpick so people would not randomly walk in on or hear the alarm if it goes off. If this is implemented then cops would get the alarm regardless of the effort you put to not being detected, this makes no sense to me.

Opposed to what? not having lawyers, not being able to defend yourself, the cop arresting you regardless of what you say. The RP that involves getting arrested is already very low in comparison to my experience on arma 3 servers with full judicial systems. Sure, the issue is of scale. But IRL there are lawyers to defend the criminals, a court system, etc. where people have entire jobs dedicated to defending and presenting a case in favor of the criminals versus the case the police has against them. You are bringing up an issue of scale as if the server is a 1:1 comparison to real life and completely removing the nuance of the judicial system that is lacking in this server making all RP related to arrests very VERY one sided for PD. If the manual is public, as it should be because it is IRL. People would be able to defend themselves, or at least try to and be more educated on the procedure the police must abide by. If PD truly does have a High RP standard, and a majority of them do follow the code of conduct/ manual/ whatever, then i do not see the issue here, all it does is inform the civilians and criminals to the standards of which PD must treat them, and how an arrest or situation is to be handled.
-
I would be inclined to see things from a PD stand point as to why they -1 if lawyers were a common occurrence in the server and so was legal questioning (i.e only lawyers have access to the mentioned documents to defend their clients). However everyone knows most of the time people are getting arrested they will not be questioned, once the officer has the narrative set in his mind it is difficult to prove him otherwise. There are very few exceptions to officers that do not do this and i congratulate the few that seek the suspects point of view. However its an overwhelming majority of officers that arrest based off of their interpretation of events regardless of what the suspect says. Having the PD manual, rule book, code of conduct and radio codes public would allow civilians to be more informed on their own laws of the city they live in. As many have pointed out all of these are made public in the city LS is based off of. Should they put detailed SWAT procedures in there? Of course not, i don't think anyone here is saying they should make literally every operation public. Just the above mentioned documents that are public IRL in LA. I also think making it public would go a long way to improve the RP between the PD and civilians as they could have an actual interaction based off of the manual, procedures they are instructed to follow, etc. At the same time the ones being detained can act as their own 'defendant' citing the PD manual or other information that is public IRL to rebuttal against the officer's claim or the way they have been treated by said officer to make the officer see their point of view more accurately. I think what he is saying is more that whenever you have an interaction with PD that involves you or someone else being detained, it can almost feel as if its a 'choose your own adventure' type of interaction for the PD. They can take it many different ways and without knowing the manual, code of conduct, etc. You do not know if what they are doing is according to standard procedures and worthy of an IA report or a formal in person complaint to the higher up on the scene. So it can feel like powergaming from the crim's point of view when different officers say different things about the same situation, laws, etc. and you have nothing you are able to cite to prove them otherwise when IRL all of these documents are public. Can someone make a detailed reply as to why people are -1 ing? I would love to have an actual discussion about this as every -1 i see being said citing 'realism' should be a +1 if they truly are aiming for a realistic experience on the server.

Every restart/crash isn't enough though, sometimes there are a few days between restarts. I've had more near misses with crates, clothes and drug items than I care to count. +1 OP -
+1 would make taco trucks at events more common and less of a hassle for customers.
-
+1 alot of people are bringing up 'realism' as a reason to -1, but @37hh just disproved it for the city los Santos is based around. I agree with the others; the server should be made more realistic and have a higher RP standard wherever possible, so a public code of conduct, radio codes, past cases and manual would do just that. It's unrealistic for these not to be public.
-
separate reports would just lead to more admin time being wasted. If what you said happens, this is usually when the admins come in and @ everyone involved asking them to make 1 post clearly describing their side and to stop with the petty BS replies. Big +1 OP. good suggestion.

Thats the biggest thing that made me make this post. No car meets, no form of events (other than the admin-planned ones) have been present since the bleets disappeared and its diminishing my experience on this server, car meets are really, really fun for me. I agree bleets should mostly be for advertising and it would be cool if they added a thing like @Denni's life invader. A form of in-server social media that can be for group chatting, setting up public events, etc. Until then though they should add back bleets to make events a thing again and make this entire server have more interactions

-1, a better alternative to this in my opinion is to type like Erika from Bayview. Type out phonetically what you are trying to say. when i see the [accent] prefix i just read it normally, but when someone types like Erika does (in her case a german accent) i actually read it in that accent. That might just be my preference though.

Cars in story mode are different than on the server, but i would agree that there are things that should be far prioritized over this. I am not completely against the idea though, it sounds good. With my other vehicles i had to find people and ask them to test drive it before i bought one from HE or a dealership. I enjoyed that interaction but a scripted test drive could be interesting. +1 for the future, but i think there are more important things that can be currently improved

The updates that were put in with weazel still being a relatively dead faction make it essentially impossible to notify everyone of a car meet or other event you would like to plan on the server during the same evening when none are online. The changes seem to be going in a decent direction for weazel but there are very rarely any Weazel employees online. In my opinion the changes to bleets is holding back the interactions of everyone in the server making it more difficult to plan events, sell things, etc. Bleets should be added back until weazel becomes a faction players can actually rely on to get Bleets out. Or maybe some sort of self-serving alternative. Such as if no weazel employees are online, you go to weazel and can insert how many bleets you want to buy, X minutes spacing between each one, what it contains, etc.

+1, as Marca mentioned with the current VOIP when it rains you often just have to type to each other. its obnoxiously loud.

well you are sort of right, they dont track it by phone number. they track it by who the phone is tied to. Its the reason why breaking a phone and buying a new one wont get detectives off of you. So all the caller ID toggling does is make people you text/call see you as anonymous. It does nothing in terms of cops being able to track you, you must still turn the phone off (unless i am very misinformed).
-
That would be what i had in mind. able to have both at any time you choose. ex. using your burner only for illegal things, and normal phone with the contact list for legal.
-
You can make an anonymous call with this command, but im fairly certain police can still track you even if you do this, hence the suggestion of burner phones.
-
Pretty simple and self-explanatory idea. I think it would be a good idea to add burner phones to the general stores. They would be a great alternative for wanted people to use instead of having their phones off for the entire time they play, now they would have an option to tell time or send anonymous texts without relying on someone else to always do it for them. To add more detail: It should have a pre-determined text/call limit per burner phone before required to purchase another one. (this amount should be chosen by the devs to figure out a proper balance) Untraceable by detectives, and no number should appear when sending calls or messages. This would allow the owner of the burner phone to set up illegal activities and not having it traced directly to them without further investigation such as catching him with his phone, seeing if the messages match up the ones that PD has been receiving calls from, etc. 1 way communication. The person with the burner can contact others, but not vice versa. Similar to currently getting an 'anonymous' text. This would allow them to still contact their friends if they know their number, talk to people who bleet about purchasing items/services, etc.
