you could just as easily text your dealer to find out the price per gram vs look online and find prices of raw materials. i dont think this is a valid argument one way or the other.
-
Agree with this, -1. When i cook, before i decide to go into the city to sell or stash the drugs for later i always call on the radio asking for someone to check prices. now ores are much less inconvenient to stash, but the same principle applies. if you are thinking of targeting 1 specific ore to maximize your profits, you should have to work for it with friends, or however else. price sheets at the mine will reduce even more rp.

If by name you mean alphabetical, +1. It would allow people to use prefixes to sort contacts such as PD [name] Zetas[name] etc.etc.

Either appoint a new CEO of Weazel or make adverts available via script

I understand where you are coming from, and im not saying you have an easy task on your hand. However, while you ask us to be "patient" for the very poor management of weazel to be improved you do understand you are hindering everyone experience on the server because of this. Sure, it is an IC issue to an extent. But bleets were removed because weazel was supposed to be a revived faction. How long as it been now? I could go back and do what OP for every single day with massive gaps in times where weazel are available. This lowers overall server interaction due to the lack of being able to bleet gatherings, car meets, sales, etc. and i do not think the entire server should be held back because of extremely poor management of a faction and its workers. There should be a way to self-serve bleets, possibly at a reduced cost. instead of 1k, lets say 500-750$ so it would both motivate weazel to be on duty to get all the missing income and also help active players get the service from an inactive faction. +1 op -
-1, i think another form of a legal faction would be much more beneficial to increase RP like the one that comes up time and time again... a judicial faction.
-
+1, dont know shit about coding but i imagine it would be fairly easy to change and a great quality of life improvement on the server.

Let us Bleet when Weazel new's agents are not in town.

+1, i made a suggestion about this before and it just died off, glad to see another suggestion on this topic. It would add alot more interaction in the form of car meet bleets, get togethers at bars, the casino, etc. Right now weazel is a dead faction. The fact that it is not active should not be holding back everybody's RP experience on the server. Give players back bleets when no weazel are online until weazel as a faction is properly active and reliable. Once they are reliable i am not opposed to removing player bleets again, but they are extremely rarely online. -
Are you unaware of how body armor works in the server? It is imported illegally, not obtained legally. Are you suggesting if someone is a felon they should not be able to use an illegal service to purchase body armor? I agree with Hoxton, -1 to this suggestion as he mentioned something I haven't thought of before, gunfights with body armor on top of desync would not be enjoyable for most people I don't think.

Both of these statements are already accounted for in the current system the server and the forum report system has. When it comes to tricky situations you will often see something like "After consulting with other staff members" from mods/admins handling the report. This is to ensure no personal bias and to get multiple points of view on the same situation in order to give the most fair conclusion to a report. If that did not work in your opinion and you have been unjustly punished, you can always appeal where a Senior+ will give their final verdict on the initial report and their take on whether a punishment issued was just or not, and proceed to approve/deny your appeal. Are there punishments that i personally disagree with? sure; Is it because of personal bias? probably; Do i think that the whole system should be changed because of it? no. The system in place currently seems to work really well and give the most just verdicts to appeals and reports in my experience.
-
I would have to think more before i add my own suggestion, but its why i didnt just flat out -1 it. i can see this working well if the whole system is taken into consideration and implemented properly.
-
Problem is a 2500$charge doesnt mean shit to someone who just raided a house with hundreds of thousands in heavies. +1 if more thought is given to this idea and it is more fleshed out -1 to how it is currently described in your suggestion

You might, sure. I have waited at the impound at times longer than i have served in prison which was led to my vehicle getting impounded. I don't think it should be purely NPC as RP is done at the impound, possibility of corruption from the officers (ignoring if someone is wanted or not asking for their ids, etc.) Possibilities which would be automated if it was an NPC. But maybe it could be a form of punishment within PD similar to desk duty or crossing guard duty IRL. Someone fucks up something at a situation? rather than getting suspended they go on impound duty and need to work X hours before they are allowed back to their previous status (to be determined based off of what they did wrong), no lethal weapons allowed (Depending on the reason they got suspended). Might be a good in-between implementation a motivator for PD officers to not screw up so they would not have to do the hours on impound duty before they can get back to work.

I am not rich enough to own a gas station, but yes this is my current understanding from speaking to friends who own them. It really sucks.
-
The gas station takes a tax by putting it in your salary and then taxed once again by taking it out of the salary. This is why those who can afford them aim to purchase dealerships or weapon stores as they get taxed once. Gas stations get shafted by taxes.
-
Worst than taxed, gas stations get double taxed!

Reducing crime through deterrence: prison time
TheCanadian replied to alexalex303's topic in Archive
The thing is, this sounds good in practice but will lead to alot of people having wasted time with no way to counter the charges ICly, anyone who has been in a big gang knows of someone who has been charged or has been charged themselves wrongfully, especially when it comes to shootouts with police many get charged with no confirmation of ID from the police. Hell, i have been charged for a shootout that happened when i was off radio and just offroading in my trophy truck i got 3 charges kidnapping or murder of a government official. The only solution to this is IA reports in hopes to get financial compensation, but when you are talking about jail time sure it can be nice to get a lump of cash when wrongfully sentence. However when something is implemented OOCly to change the way sentencing works and you would have to sit in there for 4-8 hours at the end of the day it is still time wasted, and you are not getting that time back. They need to add a lot of stuff to do in prison before the max. time is increased and interaction with the guards and prisoners has to be pushed more to promote RP in prison. It is dubbed AFK simulator for a reason, you get locked in and the guards throw away the key. Never interacting with you again, it turns into a alt-tab netflix or fist fight shit show. With friends sure it can be fun, just chatting. But do that for 6-8 hours? i dont think so. -
With the new rules it is allowed but only on certain types of scamming. I.E: i can say im selling my Rapid GT Classic for a lower price than normal to entice people with the condition that i want to tax evade, if they accept and give me the money from the ATM i can just put it into my account and never speak to them again, this would not be breaking a rule. Same with houses, if you are looking to tax evade and get scammed as either the buyer or seller, its entirely on you. so @Hoza is right, its probably one of the best ways to make money and you wouldn't be breaking any rules

honestly, 10 minutes thinking about it i think this would be a great implementation and could also add a lot to criminal RP depending how it works scripted. If this is a legal faction with certain vehicles and armed escorts to the customers destination then it could add for both great civi RP and criminal RP if the inventory is accessible to everyone and not just the owner. If people spot the convoy they can plan to intercept it to steal what the customer wants to put away securely in their storage locker. Depending on the service you pay you would get a more guarded escort of your items to be placed into your warehouse location. This would require the faction to have quite a few members though to be able to answer calls from multiple people and meet the different levels of security needed for different transports. You just need the people willing to work for that faction.

+1 to this suggestion overall, however the rank structure makes it seem like this would be a legal faction which i am 50/50 on. Having this as a legal faction could get more people involved in civilian RP, or it could be like weazel and be dead unless it is very specific times of the server. I personally think there should be another type of legal faction added first such as the court system but that is just my personal preference.

+1 I have seen a few suggestions being made regarding this subject such as 'tiers' of legal non-faction jobs I.e Delivering X amount of packages your pay would increase by X$ to help make them competitive to other jobs and also RP being a long time worker of that job and working your way up the chain of the business. This would make civi jobs actually competitive and not just make it a Crim vs legal faction job choice.

Do you not see how this is not a 1:1 comparison?
-
+1 to this. i've said it many times before but the fact every officer gets everything for free with no cost to themselves or the PD treasury is crazy. They do not have to value any form of economy on their side of the factions, everything is given for free. Should i just spray to cover fire on a corner they might peek? Sure, fuck it, ammo, weapons and armor are free so why wouldn't i. They don't need to care about any form of expenses, its all just handed to them. PD should most definitely get a form of economy in regards to their purchases of weapons, armor and specialized vehicles.
