  1. Yeah sorry this is conceptually a bad idea. whilst the occasional well meaning person might try to give an objective opinion, they would be glorified popularity contests and most people would just vote depending on who they like/dont like. Also worth noting that ECRP isnt and has never been and honestly should never be a democracy. Admins and staff have all the power and responsibility because they are supposed to be impartial and act in the interests of the server above anyone else.
  2. once more with feeling, i believe the soloution isnt to expand drug labs/production, but to give crims something else to do. something better geared to smaller/independant crims as almost all labs are almost always in the clutches of the larger orgs and expanding the selection/location of labs would change little.
  3. absolutely +1
  4. I like the idea but i imagine it would be quite hard to develop. we already have many bugs assosiated with the standard ATM tow. it disappears, or swings wild like a wrecking ball, or bounces horribly, ending up floating in mid air. translating this to a vehicle, with wheels and steering would be...very difficult indeed.
  5. Cant say i find it to be a massive issue but then again i only have 3 characters. +1
  6. The definition of metagaming is using OOC knowledge that your character should not be aware of to influence your characters actions. That is the key phrase Therefore if you're using anything like discord, teamspeak, Steam, even the f4 menu, you need to be quite careful. ofcourse, this isnt to say you cant check this oocly, but you must then follow this up with establishing contact with them IN CHARACTER before letting it affect your characters actions. for example, a phone call, radio message or driving around their usual hangout spots. Needless to say you cant relay any information through ooc means, but at the same time if you scroll through discord and see someone in game, youre not expected to magically forget that oocly, just not act on it icly. Also the /units command is linked into the MDC and is effectively a shortcut on a list of active units that is held within the MDC. therefore so long as the LEO has access to an MDC either through their PDA or the in cruiser computer, its fine to use icly.
  7. +1 on a tangental note i would love to see flares that last longer than 30 seconds. in a fast situation or as a quick signalling measure before setting up more permanent barriers flares could be a cool option, but currently they fizzle out so fast that no one bothers.
  8. Convenience? A lot of people dont wanna go through the trouble of buying a fishing rod, going to a fishing spot, doing the fishing, buying a stove/fire, cooking the fish, storing the fish. they just want fries and a water so they can get back to other...activities. +1 to the suggestion.
  9. This. it sounds like a nice QoL thing but ultimately, its a RP thing. people forget to lock their doors IRL and face consequences for that. in the server it can and has generated RP ops.
  10. Really respect the work that went into this post. Honestly a lot of the freelance jobs could do with a bump. what was acceptable years ago is now outdated due to natural inflation.
  11. I can appreciate the sentiment of the suggestion. a LOT of people do display very poor RP standards at times, criminal and legal and it can be very annoying to have them ruin your evening through their actions. However, staff will only issue punishments as a last resort unless compelled to through a forum report. they are highly motivated to try and take the educate, chastise, reform route instead of just firing out punishments. The reason for this is quite simple. they want to keep as many people on the server as possible to keep it active. every person they heavily punish/ban/suspend whatever is a potential loss of not only activity, but income for the server as said people will be less likely to purchase credits. In the defence of this approach. a lot of peoples RP behaviours do improve gradually over time through this method. its also good because occasionally even the most well meaning player will slip up and make a mistake/overplay/just be in a bad mood. this doesn't necessarily mean they should be slapped with heavy punishments. we are all human at the end of the day. Is it a perfect system? no, not even close. But at the end of the day we are all just players on a RP server. the Staff have a responsibility to keep the server active, welcoming and creative. and this means their best approach is the one they are currently taking which is very fluid and forgiving.
  12. Very good argument. The scout and buffalo are the de facto meta LEO vehicles right now because they have the best strengths and weaknesses balance of any on road/off road vehicle. they both go fast, have decent handling, the STX has better weight so its better overall however the scout can go offroad. but basically they are the best all rounders and nothing else thats a standard LEO vehicle comes close. I actually quite like taking out off meta vehicles, the variety is nice. but the problem is...they do kinda suck and are in every regard a downgrade to the scout or buffalo respectively. if they handled better in certain scenarios you might see more off meta vehicles more often out of LEOs which i think everyone would enjoy. Also so long as none of the buffs exceeded what the STX or Scout is currently capable of, it wouldnt be a buff for LEOs, so I really dont see why not.
  13. I would love this as well, anything that adds variety to different characters im a big fan of, however i dont think its something that can be easily done, as every different body types would also require new models for clothing, new adjustments to walk style, new everything. it would be a LOT of work.
  14. As much as i want to entertain OPs suggestion. This point is incredibly valid. In this age of 240 supercars, LCs and drags being the meta we are now trying to shoehorn in ways to limit the single only realistic HSIU being deployed. How about we fairtrade a nerf to OP hold W vehicles in trade for this. Id be so down for that.
  15. +1 David Theangel needs a new look.
  16. I presume you dont also mean bitcoins. lemme spend hundreds of bucks on my virtual brrrm brrm, take a 3 month break come back and see they are all sold.
  17. The problem with your suggestion is in the argument you just gave. There is no way to balance something in a way that dosent make it OP for larger groups, even if its intention is to try to help the little guy. I sympathise, i do. as someone who has played crim solo or small group for a long time. but until some kind of hitherto unknown mechanic comes into play where small or solos benefit but large orgs cant stack and abuse, i dont see this happening. as a small time/solo crim you have to accept certain activities are out of your remit, such as cooking drugs. and keep yourself to other activities like chopping, petty theft or house robberies which realistically a small group/solo could do without stepping on toes.
  18. The debate is bring back private labs because its all one big conspiracy to get people to spend more credits. also you know what I mean. I finished my post my saying I'd love something new to be added for crims to make proper money with. but objectively private labs was never it. RVs only got a pass for a while because they had been recently added and they wanted to keep them relevant. but even that turned out to be bad because people would predictably, sit inside them and afk money print. and where is the respect from him taking all our responses and just saying fun = bad.
  19. Clean your ears out then. Free Money = Bad
  20. We might wanna check our tin foil hats at the door. This had nothing to do with a dev conspiracy encouraging people to buy credits. . the explanation is the same as all the other development direction the server has taken. they dont want people afk money printing in their properties. it discourages RP between factions and you might as well be on a different server watching netflix. Its not risky. RV cooking was about the safest way for you to make money as a criminal. speaking as someone whos done it and made alot of money off it, cops never found me, only ran into one person trying to picklock it, so long as you set it up properly and put it in a decent spot, unless someone sees you go into its its almost impossible for them to tell if anyone/anythings inside. the only time i got into bother was when it blew up due to me letting a beginner friend use it but thats a moot point. I dont want private labs to come back in any form, i want something new for crims to do that they can make decent money doing.
  21. I think its cool the way it is. December is always a month of seasonal changes and events we cant really do any other time, having the snow gives it a cool identity and unique RP opportunities. I dont think it should really go on longer than a month as towards the end of december i always find myself looking forward to it changing back. nor do i think it should be a week on week off type deal because of the whole snow tires RP thing. I think the current system is fine.
  22. honestly you could split the +/- of this suggestion into two groups fairly neatly. those who dont have them, and those who already have them. its not really reaching.
  23. Honestly id just make them seasonal/limited stock, put up quarterly random rotation on the credit store, so say, this fall the drag will be available for a week then be taken off the store. check back this winter to see whats up next. that way they still remain exclusive whilst giving people the opportunity to buy them and the server a chance to make more money off them which the server always needs.
  24. +1 asked for this a million times by now...would be one of the biggest QoL changes the server ever did see. pretty pls...
  25. Stamps actually got nerfed last year in terms of money payout, so imo it makes sense to buff the Jtime reduction as right now its simply not worth.
