futureproofing uwu.

Well reasoned. +1 with the caveat that they are also expensive and degrade over time. otherwise the new meta would be every glovebox carrying at least 1-2 of these at all times for traffic stops.
-
Its an interesting idea. next question would be why would anyone use masks if this was implemented? On one side, you have a beard/wig that comes with a chance the cop will not be able to identify you with it on and rply wont be able to tell youre disguised, Vs a mask which the cop knows youre wearing and has the legal power to have you take it off. it just feels like powercreep. surely if this was implemented as suggested every crim would just switch from mask to fake hair for the sake of the advantage.
-
so basically a mask cops cant tell you to remove? or rather perhaps they have to rp "/me inspects the individuals face closely to see if the facial hair was genuine" or something like that? Neat idea in principle but surely once you try to alias a person and realise you cant, the jig is up at least oocly. Its an interesting idea and mask meta is stale, im just seeing some major potholes here...

Thankyou! Please remember in order to be viable it needs to continue broadcasting when tabbed out I cannot speak for every DJ, but when i mix, its an actual mix. I have my DJ decks hooked into my computer on a Vcable imput which i then set as my default mic so GTA picks it up. its not just me picking songs, its live performance. Alot of work has gone into my setup and development of it and i am very proud of the RP that has come of it. This is my AoE please take it from me a speaker rework would not work. moreover your ideas wouldnt work for other musicians, i know at least half a dozen guitarists/singers in the city who are having pain with this too.

im very on the fence with this one but after considering, i want to -1 it. simply because it reinforces to people that driving their cars like maniacs is. . .expensive. If you wanna race, or offroad, or do anything that might put your car in danger, fine. but itll cost ya. This would make people drive in races and offroads with a little more care and a little less demolition derby mindset. alot of times when youre in races people just fucking full send it in a supercar and damn the consequences because they know the cost of a repair isnt that much. With the new ruleset they have to weigh up the cost of repair vs a better chance of winning the race. think formula one. in those races the drivers have to constantly factor in how expensive it would be if they were to crash their cars vs going for a risky overtake. you have to play smarter and race better, instead of just using your car as a battering ram. Same with offroading, rolling your car will now cost significantly more so people will be sending it off cliffs alot less. In short, whilst its an unpopular change (because everything that make the game harder to play usually is) the new system rewards smarter driving, which is why i support it.

I like the idea in principle. I like the fact it integrates with trucking. I like that it adds another layer to car maintainence. I dont necessarily like the idea of customers having to order tyres then getting a call when they are in stock, sounds like a little too much in-the-weeds detail, with both the mechanic and thd customer bouncing on and offline

Yeah i can see why new members might find it helpful but for me its just tedius.

Prior to the cuffing minigame, it was required for an LEO to rp attempting to cuff you, giving you a chance to respond. However with its introduction, that changed. The minigame is now the interaction. LEOs are not currently required to rp the cuffing. So yeah, it would be a mechanic rework youre looking for. LEOs rping the cuffs when theres already a minogame would be redundant.
-
Ill happily take a reload/longer timer to the Taser if the tradeoff is people cant just get up and run the moment their ragdoll stops. LEOs dont want to continually tase people but when people just get up and run, what are the other options? chain tackling? dosent seem any better.

In the past (yesterday) you were able to set your VOIP to continually send by holding down N, opening the text box and then releasing N. this would have your voice broadcast even if you were tabbed out. As of yesterday, this seems to have been patched out. What this means is that its now virtually impossible for DJ and musician RPers to actually do their thing. this isnt something you can fix with AHK or a bind because the moment you tab out VOIP now automatically cuts too. Please review this asap. one of my characters entire agency revolves around being a DJ/Musician for hire and now they cant do that.

remove the "5 cops need to be on duty"
Quietthecutie replied to Teenyinnit's topic in Criminal Suggestions
ATMs rewards have been buffed steadily, so i imagine the cop requirement has gone up in line with that. Ultimately certain types of crim RP, like ATMs or store robberies require cops to be online to function. Otherwise it would be horribly imbalanced and alot of people would be logging in on early weekday mornings simply to farm ATMs on their crim. -
F4 should redirect to 'My Factions' instead of 'All Factions'
Quietthecutie replied to Celestial's topic in Game Suggestions
With the recent influx of official factions due to FM 2.0, it does make sense to have a filter for "my factions." -
ECRP logo switches between locations all the time.

+/- Its not like a big deal to me. it dosent bother me. its new UI so there are obvious problems to it, well noted in a bunch of feedback suggestions so...give it time, keep giving feedback, trust the system. -
+1 This was brought up previously, and the same reasoning given, and I still 110% agree with it. searching for house robberies and using things like the UI or cars outside a a property as reasoning that a house robbery is occuring is NRP. youre using knowlege of ooc game mechanics to infulence your characters actions. It should not be permitted. Now if you actually see a bunch of masked individuals entering a house with boxes in the dead of night, thats different. but that dosent happen nearly as often.
-
+1. Wierdly all the blood fx are where the UI is, and now the UI is teeny tiny. no one wants this.

so to be clear, your issue is that the buzzard is used and you can fire from it with marksman rifles... From an SD perspective at least, I can only recall one time ive been present where a shot has been fired from a helicopter during a situation. said situation was a massive gang shootout where LEOs were coming under heavy fire, in which case fire from a Helicopter is totally reasonable given the escalation. aside from that. our Helis usually dont even have a camera operator, never mind marksmen... so i really dont understand your perspective. that said i cant speak for PD. To be clear again in SD, there are mammoth rules and checks in place to ensure only reasonable force is applied and nothing more but if you shoot at an LEO with automatic weapons, you should expect everything short of tanks being thrown at you, because thats the reasonable and expected response from law enforcement.

Short and sweet. The new clothing update is awesome, but its also added a lot of uniforms into various factions which come with headgear. in the past, this could be removed in /fl but it appears this option has been removed. I would like it readded particularly as there are still major clipping issues with hair.

This has been suggested in the past and the answer is almost always the same. Its a Truckers economy. if the price is too low. don't take it. over time in the truckers job youll learn to recognise the route being asked and how long it is. for instance i know now the name of the car dealership up north and i know where i collect the cars. so if they are asking for a delivery and post a 1k payment i will not take it. If some other lesser experienced trucker wants to. good luck to them its a waste of time.

Small QOL suggestion for the icons/additional health bar.
Quietthecutie replied to Freyster's topic in Game Suggestions
+1 Currently its very difficult to make an accurate assessment on your health and armor greater than "good" or "bad" which is kind of important for gameplay reasons. -
that could be very cool. dunno how it would be implemented? probably just part of AMUs FL kit and then hand it over to the person during the RP?

Stop robbing private chops, instead do this
Quietthecutie replied to Ritchie Stones's topic in Discussions
Better yet, Call the cops on them. that way no one wins.
