Furniture volume for robbing houses decrease

+1 i dont think a watch should weigh as much as 20 lugwrenches. -
There is literally nothing stopping you from selling drugs to other players who want to purchase them. and now because of the various buffs they have a reason to buy them besides purest RP ops or dealer related.

I wasnt talking about your opinion on tax i was talking about your claims regarding people who pay for VIP not caring if it got nerfed. Picture this. you pay a premium each month for high speed internet. your provider calls you up and says that they will be lowering your speeds so that they can provide a better service for people who dont pay for a premium service, but thats ok because you will still be connected to the internet just at a lower speed so you shouldnt worry. what would you do? Youre also leaving out the very obvious option which is to just accept that people who pay to support the server should be entitled to benefits commensurate with their donations, and people who dont will just have to grind more. its not unreasonable and its a very common business model for a free to play game. Also also just to touch on the realisim of the tax rate. 25-35% income tax is extremely common for anyone with median household income to pay in an American state, which is what SA is based on.

I really dont understand your comment. is your sizzling hot take the fact that people who buy VIP have perks that benefit them in game? shocking... Yeah, the fuel consumption buff you get from VIP is really, really good, particularly in chases. It opens alot of new avenues in evading, but it dosent make your BF any faster. it just increases the time you have to successfully get away. it dosent make it any easier to evade. it just gives you more time to do it. But youre aware of this. and you can play around it by topping up your fuel in gas stations more regularly and driving more riskily in evasions in order to try to get gap before fuel becomes a concern. The way I drive when i dont have VIP is completely different to the way i drive when i do have VIP. because i am aware of that timer, and so are you. Ultimately no one is putting a gun to your head and demanding you buy VIP for what is a free to play RP server. but you should be thanking the people who do because those are the ones who keep the server running. the server has to make money and the only other real alternative would be a monthly subscription.

Who? How many? When was this? would they go on record? Those are some pretty bold claims and they dont make any sense and with all due respect you havent presented any evidence to back it up. "hey you know that thing you pay quite a bit for monthly? you wouldnt mind if we made the benefits you get for supporting the server significantly worse would you?" Just does not make sense in my eyes. This sounds more like a job issue than a tax issue tbh. IMO if youre doing a salaried job purely to make money and hate the work (or lack of work) youre doing, its time to change careers. the best times ive had in legal jobs was when i didnt give a shit about the money and was just enjoying the rp ops.

I agree that tax brackets should be split up more sensibly, however 3 points: 1. this is potentially an IC issue. as there are IC channels in the government where this issue can be debated and protested. 2. A more effective suggestion needs to be put in place instead of just "tax too high lower it i cant afford VIP." how would your suggestion actually work in practice? 3. VIP is an optional purchase with some very good potential bonuses for the players who purchase it even at its lower tier. you might call it pay to win(i wouldnt), but its pay to win by design, working perfectly as intended. it sucks that you cant afford it, but heres the hard truth. VIP is like 50-75% of the servers revenue throughout any given year. it is the only consistent monthly income the server sees. it pays for both the servers upkeep, and the salaries of the couple of devs who are responsible for most of the work on the content updates. if you are asking to nerf VIP. you also need to accept that the server will have less content going forward, as less people will think buying vip to be worth it, therefore less money for the server to allocate to development. So in general i dont think tax needs to be reduced across the board. more that the upper tax brackets need to be rethought, and maybe split up more to account for the super rich. legals do get the shaft when it comes to tax but thats true to irl and part of the price you pay for consistent income. and VIP should be completely left out of the discussion.

Sounds very Interesting. +1

Again, common sense rule applies when it comes to being "blocked" at a lab. every case is different. If youre in a sportscar, ideally you would stick to roadways in and out of areas like labs, however if those roadways are blocked and youre under threat of immeadiate harm, its reasonable for your character to sacrifice what would be significant expensive damage to their car in order to offroad a little to get clear of danger. Note that this does not give you permission to hillclimb or go over exceedingly rough terrain for an extended period of time, as this would mangle the underfloor of your car, bottom it out or otherwise make it undrivable. it should only be as a last resort, if all roads are truly blocked and for only as long as it takes you to get back onto a road. A positive example would be the likes of driving a little offroad at say, sealab if someones trying to block you from leaving on the approach along the cliff, getting round them before returning to the road. a negative example would be blasting it over the hill behind hole in the wall because the bridge is blocked in.

Yeah a downvote button just encourages toxicity. particularly because theres no reasoning behind it. if you disagree with someone you should take the time to explain why. this is in contrast to agreeing someone where the upvote/heart emote is just a "hear hear." Same thing with +1/-1 tbh. if you disagree you should give a reason why, develop the discussion.

Allow /takehostage to be used with knives

+1, Makes sense. same with other sharp items, anything capable of quickly cutting a throat, like broken bottles. -
Ye ive banged this drum so many times but people dont seem to grasp the concept. The server wants to focus on things that get people out on the map and interacting, not sitting in their own compartment of the server farming money. It would be a hell of alot easier were that not the case, but this is where we are and i understand the logic.

Most communications between crims are done via radio. phone communications are usually relegated to either when contacting people outside of your freqs or when your freq is comped. so its nice, but still useful in certain situations. the ringaround of whos burner phone still works and when would still mean that contacting outside contacts would be hit or miss at best as i presume this burner phone would be a lootable item that would be taken off a person when they are beat.

Whilst I appreciate your position I disagree. Public labs are and have always been PvP hotspots. ultimately one group of allies holds one until another shows up able to take it off their hands or they abandon it. and all the activities around that are scouting, positioning and communicating around that. they are inherently built around PvP. Its that simple. The fresh air of los santos can be sampled by crims in multiple different ways not built around this system which whilst some people like, others do not. thats what im asking for. Realistic alternatives.
-
Ultimately the entire server is asset focused. Its a rare day indeed when someone logs on not to be paid for something or other. its how 99% of players define their agency, again, not a bad thing its just how the server works. but again i feel like just adding more public labs is not the way to go. because not everyone wants to just roll labs. its catered to only one specific type of player, namely...clappers. i.e people looking for PVP. there should be more activities like chopping or house robberies which are not clapper focused. that would add variety which is sorely needed.

I somewhat thought it was overused too, but since i got an LEO char, i realised this isnt the case at all. The truth is very few officers even want to fly the Heli. and there are *heavy* restrictions on when you can get one airborne. that being said, once it is up, it will generally do some sweeps/check in on other situations after theirs is concluded before landing again. once again this is true to real life and because of the restrictions, worth doing instead of just instantly heading back to base. Ultimately everyone has their own perspective when it comes to these kind of things. and our brains are hotwired to remember the times where we get shafted and not all the times we dont. yeah, if i was soloing an ATM, and a helicopter started hovering above me, id be pretty pissed off and think it over the top. but thats mostly just negativity bias over all the times ive boosted an ATM and no cop showed up. In the moment, Ill feel pissed. but once ive calmed down, ill just realise I was unlucky that time or its just not my day.

i dont think it would be that useful but hell why not, we have jammers now.

i dont think its realisitic to provide callouts with any more detail than an 8 point compass tbh. You see it in other games where people call it out by compass degress like "oh hes 240" but thats in open combat games like BR shooters or stuff like tarkov or rust. dosent make sense in a RP server.
-
I could maybe see this but ultimately like i said, my gripe is this just increasing peoples hold on assets without them themselves actually being active in the city.

Wont happen lads. As much as i quite enjoyed private labs too unfortunately they do not fit in with the devs vision for the server. The brief explanation is that because private labs happen in a secure, seperate instance where unless you epically fuck up no one can interrupt you, they were bad for the server as up to 2 thirds of crims would be privately cooking at any time. Meaning they might as well not be playing as far as server activity went. RVs JUST about got a pass on this because they have to be out on the map. Also they were quite new when the change happened and gave them some agency. That plus they are quite small and you cant fit many tables inside them. All that said i dont think we will ever see the return of old private labs and honestly, after taking some time to think it over, im fine with that. I still think SOMETHING should have been added on the crim side to fill the gap left by removing private labs. Some new activity. That hasnt happened yet but to be clear i dont just wanna revert the removal. I want something new and interactive to fill the sizable void. Not just more public labs.

-1 purely because theres only a certain number of stores and if an owner cannot log in often enough to restock them (dosent take long) then they shouldnt ghost own them and deny others the opertunity of formally taking over simply because their friend is stocking it for them. Tldr monopolies kill servers.

An option to lower a specific player's voice
Quietthecutie replied to Rover Smith's topic in Civilian Suggestions
-1. If someones yelling and bothering you thats an ic issue. annoying at times but you have ways of dealing with it. If someones hotmicing or deliberately spamming then this can either be resolved with a quick PM or in extreeme cases, a report. But it should not open up a script option to just "mute" certain players. Also yeah it would not take long for certain players to just be like "ok buddy im just gonna tune you out" -

Suggestion - Parking update / Adjustment
Quietthecutie replied to ItzzKamu's topic in Civilian Suggestions
Ye the park marker just needs to be moved back to its previous location. Was fine before. -
I mean i would just focus on boats in general being useful/usable before focusing on specific ones.

This dosent just apply to melee weapons, but guns also. Its also been brought up in the past. The consensus appears to be theres some script limitation on this, but more that its a server balance decision when it comes to weaponry. That if youre carrying a weapon it should be visible on your hip/back predominantly for gameplay reasons. The only way of truly hiding it on your person outside of a car is within a bag, which is also visible and a red flag to anyone scoping you out. Not sure what side of the debate i want to be on yet but just to add some context to the suggestion.
