  1. -The ability to accurately split items in your inventory using a slider/number -the ability to consecutively refill waterbottles without having to reclick each time.
  2. My PC is no spring chicken but even I can run the server at 60+fps on medium graphics which is what i would call "acceptable." If you want more frames i'd suggest either upgrading your rig or lowering your settings/installing a max FPS mod that is in line with server rules.
  3. +1. If someone was to actually steal something from someone's trunk, it makes no sense to do it as I am also searching my own trunk, I am right there, obviously i would intervene if someone walked up and just started having a good rummage. Now, if the thief either, roleplayed attempting to push me over to get to the trunk, or otherwise robbed me with a weapon, or if for some dumb reason I have forgotten to lock my car and walked away from it, that should be allowed. but just doing a driveby snatch and grab is abusing the UI of the server and the fact the person whos head is in the trunk can do little to stop you.
  4. Dude i get a carwash and by the time i drive up to paleto sticking to the roads the cars already covered in shite again. a perk that reduces the buildup of dirt would be a great idea. until they build a carwash at paleto and sandy or fix the carwash charges at mechanic shops. one of the 3.
  5. Ill be honest, after considering, i want to -1 this. I am in agreement that crim RP is stale and new things need to be added. I have championed this on many an occaision. But i do not think that a (by all parties involved agreeance) Hunger games style battle royale is the correct type of RP to add. It dosent matter what way you wanna dress it up, thats what this would turn into. And i dont think it would be realistic to participate in, feasible to moderate or even fun for most crims. Yes, i want to see new things added too but this isnt it for me.
  6. but it already exists. the animation is when he drops his arms below the counter, thus hitting a button. Animation is actually one of the hardest things for devs to implement. seeing as there is already a universal indicator that the clerks hit the button (his arms drop) I dont think it would be an effective use of resources to implement this. The dev team for the server is small...tiny. and we have to pick our battles when it comes to in game development. this could easily end up being a weeks worth of development that would end up delaying another, more fruitful project (like clothing for example.) With that in mind i really dont think its worth the effort.
  7. I could be wrong but currently if youre holding a store clerk up and they drop their arms isnt that the indication that they have hit the alarm?
  8. -Fix any and all bugs associated with boats so they are not a pain to use. -Overhaul the fishing mechanic to both make it more interactive and make deep sea fishing/location fishing a thing. different depths of water, different areas of the map, different fish.
  9. Aside from the very good point inorigj makes, I believe it would be fundamentally wrong for a player who has been downed to have any kind of control of how and when they die, particularly in a shootout. its already kind of nuts that you can call an ambulance on your own. As for the RP aspect of finishing someone off, i believe 3-4 bullets to the brain is perfectly adequate RP, its difficult to misinterpret that and having someone copy paste spam "/me finishes the guy off" isnt going to do anything more than make it more tedious.
  10. Should they? Yes. Would it be worth the development time to implement? No. Understand that there are probably over 100 active suggestions and dozens of things in the development queue at this point. all of them a more pressing concern than a man sprinting in flippers.
  11. I really dont think itll make a difference in terms of chases tbh... 95% of successful evades are not down to top speed, but down to handling. this is why cars like the Issi are so insanely good at it, they turn on a dime, brake and accelerate hard. the d10 is a demon on a straight line but the moment you show it a corner itll shit the bed unless you slow right down. Its a gimmick cruiser. looks cool and is fast. but not really an issue unless youre trying to evade on a freeway for some reason...
  12. 2 things: 1. i totally agree that the skillcheck mechanic is the worst part of any rp. unless its a really challenging one it adds nothing but busywork to any kind of rp. it was a mechanic put in place so long ago to add *anything* to rp to vary it up. but today we have so many better options and i really think even basic variation to the minigames would add alot of fun and variety to mundane tasks. it is by far the biggest mechanical part of the server which needs an update. Consider this. instead of when trying to take a wheel off of a car and just hitting skillchecks, a PNG based picture of a wheel where you have to take off the 6 wheel nuts etc. stuff like this is easily implemented and adds TONS of rp value. i shouldnt be on a timer to take a wheel off, i should be timing myself. 2. MD RP is really unsuited to this, MD RP is about being able to accurately assess and address a variety of medical emergencies. it is mostly text based, which is good cus it allows MD to really flex their RP chops in terms of medical knowlege. a good MD rper is fantastic cus they can really show how much character effort they have put in, and unless youre a clapper who cares about nothing but how fast they can get processed and start their Jtime, youll love it.
  13. You are mistaken. This scenario was not staged at an airport. this incident happened last night. The location was well off the grid, far away from any major landmark, economic building or even residential area. we were careful. we choose the location carefully. and barring a major screwup by one of our car thieves it would have been nigh impossible for LEOs to detect it. We brought enough weaponry that it would have taken an extremely well equipped criminal gang to effectively assault us. All of that organisation goes out the window if another criminal whos just offroading in the area can drop a pin and alert cops to our location out of a sheer whim to ruin someone elses RP experience. why bother? In brief, as the old saying often parroted by LEO mains go, We played it smart. and it didnt matter.
  14. We are only looking at the argument through an IRL lens. yeah sure, IRL, some criminal syndicates might use the police against eachother (still seems unlikely because once you again a reputation as a rat your days are numbered. and this isnt hollywood have you seen the bodycount organisations like the outfit and mexican cartels racked up on informants?) However, lets move away from that side of the discussion. this is a videogame, and the servers balancing mechanics are based on risk vs reward. If a rival gang discovers a location and wants to gather the boys and push it, I have absolutely no problem with that. because that rival gang is having to commit weapons, vehicles and equipment of their own. they are risking something for a reward. and the result will be an exciting, evenly matched shootout where both sides have a chance of winning and to the victor goes the spoils. cops can also get involved in this situation through responding to the gunfire if they are patrolling the area as per their factions role in the city. What i dont agree with is coming across a lab/chop and realising you are outmatched, disengaging from the situation, then (because fuck this players oocly) calling the cops. the dozen or so players you just fucked over now have 0 motivation to do it again, because there was absolutely nothing they could do to counter that. so not only is their RP experience ruined, so is PDs, because what could have been an interesting PD roleplay of finding someone picking a car or driving one reported stolen, investigation, search and seizure. has just become a roll up to a given location and start dealing with arrests and clearing the scene. no one had fun in this scenario. i dont think a single bullet was even fired. so both the choppers and LEOs lose RP to this, and the person who called the cops gains nothing other than a POV clip he will prolly share with the boys in a private discord for a good laugh at other players expense. This is not a fun experience for anyone and it massively demotivates crims who actually want to engage in crim RP, Robs LEOs of interesting situation, and overall makes me wonder why i bother when i could just work burgershot for 1k every 10 minutes risk free.
  15. Allow me to put it another way: One gang, takes the time and effort to set up a full chop spot. this goes as such: -Securing enough people to do the chop safely -finding a location that is far enough off the grid it minimises suspicion from LEOs and the chance of them finding you -committing a significant ammount of resources to set up and protect the chop (tools, car lift, engine hoist, toolbox, and heavy weaponry to protect it from rival gangs.) All in this is at least 300k worth of resources. -going around the city, picking and hotwiring cars and bringing them discreetly to the location. -chopping those cars, then at the end organising transport to move those parts safely to either storage or a dealer. All in all a very complex and commited RP scenario which multiple people have to commit alot of time and effort to make happen. Now lets look at what the other guy did. -got on his BF and started scouting locations -stumbles across the chop spot. Keeps his distance so he cannot be identified or demands given. -realises theres no way him or his gang can contest it. They would need multiple heavies, kamachos and a significant ammount of manpower to attack it. -realises that he dosent have to attack it, he has someone on speed dial to do just that. -dries away and calls the cops, then pulls up a lawnchair and watches the fireworks as PD respond in force. Having committed absolutely nothing, one player has in 5 minutes destroyed what took a dozen hours to set up and cost them 100s of thousands. Do you think this was fair or fun? Do you think the first group would be motivated to engage in more criminal RP? What is the point of commiting heavy weaponry when another criminal sees that and decides just to call cops instead of contesting it themselves, essientially using cops as a resource of their own.
  16. Necroing this. lately there had been a worrying trend of Criminals rolling into a lab/chop spot and instead of fighting or raiding, deciding just to break off and call the cops. This is completely NRP. there people are criminals in their own gang, then deciding to call the cops because the situation they roll by is to big for themselves to handle and decide instead of letting it be, to call cops, totally out of the RP remit of their character. the cops have an almost infinite ammount of resources to call upon so its an unwinnable situation for a gang that was willing to commit the time, effort and resources to effectively protect their operation from another gang, and when that gang realised it they just went and called cops out of spite. Case and point the recent one i was involved in which was UNIX Context: My gang had set up a discrette full chop in a location far away from any LEO patrols. while chopping one person in a BF had circled down to this area and seen us. them being only one person, break off and clear the area. however they call the cops once they have left, which is completely out of their character to do so, being a known criminal affiliated to a gang, but they do it anyway out of spite in the spirit of "if i cant win ill make sure you lose." To be clear, i have nothing against a rival gang raiding/attacking a setup an existing gang has, my problem is with a gang looking at a setup, deciding "no, we cant beat that" and then deciding out of total spite just to dial 911 and report it to the cops, completely out of character behaviour which contributes to the total drain of criminal RP currently happening. This kinda shit, just kills crim RP from the inside. theres a heavy cop presence? ok lets go under the radar, do chops in quiet locations. keep it on the down low. dosent matter. one criminal with a phone and a BF just destroys your operation and costs you 100s of thousands. not so they can gain anything, just so you can not have it.
  17. Im behind anything that helps with a 24h licence suspension. i maintain its the worst part of crim rp.
  18. Wont happen. too much work went into the new system which is still being worked on.
  19. Hear me out on this one... Perhaps just say fuck it. While an LEOs on duty they cannot be identified through alias, ID number only over their head to anyone who isnt a cop. Vice versa, LEOs can not identify anyone whos not a cop or on duty gov/md/doc etc. employee. This would force both cops and crims to actually actively remember eachother through actions, voice, personality and appearance, instead of relying on an incident that happened a few weeks/months/years ago. It also gives cops a reason to rp for ID despite the fact they already know full well who someone is. And this would protect cops to a certain extent being singled out by crims despite the fact that rply PD would be over 1000 strong And most beat cops barely memorable.
  20. i really dont think it is....if you get tazed, you should be DOWN....for the count. again most times someone gets tazed IRL it takes them MINUTES to have enough control over their faculties again to move properly, never mind run. 20 seconds is nothing. and frankly alot of RP would make alot more sense if the stun duration was longer and the reload was too.
  21. Like i really think tasers should be more powerful per shot, leave someone ragdolled on the ground for a good 20 seconds. have you ever seen someone get hit with one irl? you aint getting up and running 5 seconds later....
  22. So long as Tasers are a thing in their current format no cop would use this unless forced to. it would be less effective, more clunky.
  23. Theres lots of other VIP perks that could be introduced, which i do want. instead of this an oddly specific one that would only affect a handful of people. if they introduced say, a perk where you car gets special wax that reduces the rate of dirt build up, or one that speeds up the many, many, many skillcheck minigames around the city. i would feel far more motivated to keep buying VIP than if the richest of the rich can own more property. Or heres one that would increase VIP sales by 200%, a reduction in licence suspension time from 24 to 12/6/3 hours
