Speed Racer
Current wording: No leaning forward or backward on a bike during a pursuit, as it provides an unrealistic speed boost. New wording: No leaning backward or wheelieing on a bike during a pursuit, as it provides an unrealistic speed boost. Rationale: Wheelieing is the only unrealistic speed boost at play. Not only does leaning forward only provide a marginal boost in speed compared to wheelieing, but it is also realistic in that people do it in real life and that actual aerodynamics supports a boost in speed from doing so. See the following video (at the proper time stamp) for evidence of how small of a speed boost leaning forward actually gives in GTA. 3 1
NeverMind
+1. Always thought it was weird you couldn't lean forward since, like you said, its something that happens IRL all the time.
DaMasterSplinter
+1 I don't feel it gives you an unrealistic speed boost, I tested in game as I wanted to know the fastest way to drive around in the city and it never gave me more speed like wheelieing. CalvinKlein
+1,. agreed on 100% i dont think its nonrp to lean forward as irl you are kinda forced to if ur going at very high speed unless you wanna deal with great air resistance
Phil McGee
+1 find it unatural not to lean forward on a bike. I do agree popping wheelie's is a bit unrealistic and should not be allowed in a pursuit unless you're mounting a step or some other small obstacle.

TheCactus
+1 The sound and the posture change but in game you don't actually go faster.

Genesisjiji
+1 leaning forward looks way cooler and doesn't give big speed boosts.
olivern389
+1 leaning back forming a wheelie does generate an excessive speed boost that would normally not be there however forward leaning is totally normal in my opinion as you do naturally do it IRL when going at fast speeds

Kjaer
+1 as leaning forward gives you the marginal speed boost that it would irl and is not stupidly unrealistic like how GTA handles wheelies.
Bala
Leaning forward makes sense, popping wheelies and increasing speed doesn’t really. But then I only ride the bus IRL so what do I know

alexalex303
Leaning forward on motorbikes is currently considered realistic and a fair action to perform even during a pursuit. Archived.
