  1. -1 The reason they're disallowed, as far as I'm aware, is because players who have the mods, are on a different playing level than those without as the distance in which gunshots are registered is increased when you are using the mods. It's not an issue of "volume", its hearing shots versus not hearing shots. The mods should be server-side if added back, not handled client side imo
  2. I've also had this occur on the provided trucker job trucks, I haven't tried yet with my own.
  3. https://streamable.com/w9y809 typical impound scenario
  4. I have experienced this behavior with /carurl as well
  5. Thought the exact same thing when I was going through my old replies and unearthed it Its even worse than my buy undershirts at any time
  6. This thread needs a deserving bump +one million, this is a QoL update for staff and players that is only positive
  7. Date and time (provide timezone): 8/2/2023 6:21:00 AM UTC Character name: Swarles Bridge Issue/bug you are reporting: Error Code Expected behavior: N/A Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: See attached Not sure how to reproduce, this message occured while i was riding my bf400, it did not crash the game. I was not doing anything with TAB or weapons, or inventory. Vehicle license plate number*: YK92XYUT
  8. -1 for simply just guns. I'd rather see items that make a little more sense like car speakers., GPS's, clothing/furniture items implemented (maybe even a car jack with a "spare" tire) rather than easy ways for people to acquire guns so they can PvP, instead players are given a means to make more money off common criminality and naturally moves players away from a mindset that they need to pvp or strictly rob people to make money. I'd support the above suggestion of lower tier pistols with the additional addition of civilian pawn shop items. Players could make an rp choice of making a living off simply burglarizing cars and perhaps the odd time selling the car to someone else to chop because perhaps it is not their characters line of work, or perhaps they could be propelled into the chop scene by finding a car jack
  9. -1 You dont need to call the cops directly in front of people, police reports can always be filed in person after the fact. Act smart IC'ly and leave IC consequences, IC.
  10. This truck was apart of the road worker load out originally, however it was removed as the low amount of vehicle spots didnt promote the group workplace roleplay that staff had wanted from the job. Perhaps roadworkers should be able to place down a strobe prop which would automatically be removed once an incident ends, or some lighting can be added to the current incidents just in case they take place during the night which is entirely possibly.
  11. -1 Would rather have a better interior for the new RV that was just added
  12. I think its a simple and straightforward suggestion, pawnshops IRL would buy a laptop so I do not see why the games laptops are currently exempt. I see them as no different as the other electronics that can be resold such as speakers (Car/world) and GPS's and radios.
  13. overall -1 Lots of people are saying it doesn't make sense to be able to conceal a .50 but IRL there is in-fact conceal carry options for weapons that are as large as a Desert Eagle for individuals of all body types. The issue IMO is not realism, it is balance. If you would like to conceal a pistol, I think it is a simple decision to move down to any of the other calibers which get less and less power but can be concealed easily via very normal looking clothing. I do not support being able to conceal carry the most powerful pistol, there needs to be balance. No one here who is in favor of the conceal option even tries to balance the fact that their weapon is hidden by adding something like increased draw time. There should be an array of choices and relevant consequences for those choices, if there is not, that is when games become stale and boring.
  14. -1 Same point could be argued for any of the VIP perks, you can clear jobs quicker as a trucker and make more money because you get to jobs faster, you make more money from your salary because you pay less taxes, you save more money from going to jail, you got to jail for WAY LESS time, so much so that people usually buy VIP on their way to DOC, surely that isn't fair to the other players and we need to remove this too? You're essentially asking the staff to remove one of the main revenue streams of the server, if not THE main revenue stream. You get to play for free, and if you don't want to support the server - great. However if you do, you get these minor benefits that are RP'd to an extent and do put you ahead, but are in no way game breaking or allow you to do other things that other players cannot.
  15. This does not happen. When you place items into a bag, it only increases in volume once the items inside are over 10. Having the clothes in your "pockets" and then an empty bag on your back is when you would be accruing additional vol usage, which is what OP is trying to eliminate.
  16. This is a story I wrote awhile ago but never actually posted due the faction it was being written for disbanding. I found it and figured "Why let it go to waste". A Day In the Life It was a beautiful sunny day in Los Santos when Barker unexpectedly spotted the chop of the day, a Neon; however he needed to act fast as the car in question was outside of a Ponsonbys in Rockford Hills and the owner was likely to return quickly. Knowing this Barker parked his Vortex close by in an alley, something he doesn’t usually do, and goes to make his move on the car. Unfortunately for Barker the individuals driving the Neon suddenly walked out of the store and interrupted his work, yelling after him as he fled “HEY WHOA, HEY”. The BSB car thief makes his way to the same alley that he’s parked his bike and gets on when he suddenly hatches a plan, “buddy seemed pretty peeved, I bet he’s going to chase right after me and into the alley” he thought to himself. Deciding this, Barker instead of fleeing, hops off his motorcycle and retrieves his trusty .50 and allows himself to be barely seen trying to feign fear. Loe and behold his target pulls into the alley aggressively and instantly regrets it, “wow, of course” the man says as Barker points his gun and demands that he steps out. Barker quickly moves them out of the vehicle and ensures that he checks their waistband for weapons, satisfied with what he sees Barker tells them to unlock the car and walk back to the street hoping that they haven’t yet seen his Vortex and will leave the scene altogether. Once the unhappy couple are far enough away for Barker to feel comfortable getting into the car he makes his escape and heads towards a known contact in the area that will love to get his hands on this car. Barker pulled into the chop and after first sharing a laugh with the mechanic over the situation and the ironic custom plate affixed to the vehicle he tells Matthias to get this done quick, there’s sure to be heat if the chop sits around all day; sure enough Matthias works faster than he’s ever have and gets Barker on his way with his hard earned cash. Before leaving, Barker quickly changes clothes and makes his way to some ATM’s to deposit the cash, and then moves cautiously back to the scene of the crime to see if his victims have involved the police or if he’s in the clear to go about his day. Unfortunately, as he turns the corner and walks past the alley he sees the all too familiar image of police vehicles cordoning off an active scene. Knowing he is going to be investigated, Barker decides to face the issue head on, he goes and stashes his keys, makes a 911 call from a church saying his Vortex was stolen and heads back to the scene after waiting for a few more minutes. Barker walks up “Anyone seen a black Vortex?!” he would yell out to the tow truck and PD on scene, he is immediately flagged by his victims “That’s the guy! That’s him! Imagine coming back!”. As expected he is detained for further investigation and complies fully knowing that there’s no physical evidence to tie him to the crime scene and with the steps taken beforehand has introduced enough plausible doubt to be released. The mood of the reporting couple went from elevated and ecstatic to low and disappointed as the cops went through their evidence, cordoned off the area to do a search and questioned Barker extensively all to come up empty handed. “Sorry to waste your time like this guys and sorry for the misunderstanding, I’ll keep better track of my vehicles” he said to the cops as they uncuffed him. His story held up with no holes and he was free. Barker finally hopped on his bike and drove away, scott free. He picked up his stashed briefcase which held his gun and clothing used in the robbery and went back to Bridge Street to lay low and plot the next steps… Snitches don’t get mercy, and Barker will get his revenge no matter what…
  17. You might as well say "I can do it in GTA online, why not here?"
  18. -1, I've been the subject of gang suppression in different groups and we always dealt with it properly and it goes away. Those who "disband because of it" make me think they just couldn't avoid bringing heat on their colors/group. "Gang kills some PD > PD suppresses gang > Gang fights back" ..... If your goal is to lose the attention of PD, maybe.... Dont "fight back" and kill cops in retaliation thus giving them more reason to suppress you?
  19. I thought about this when making the suggestion and I believe the following points help counteract the negatives of the above The high additional taxation / fee rate will not make it a 1:1 replacement for main bank as you would receive less money than normal. (This suggestion is mostly made to help players who have very short and restricted play periods and are usually unable to visit bank during its business hours but it can be fine tuned to cater to additional RP opportunities as well) The salary is withdrawn to cash, which gives criminal players the opportunity to rob those who withdraw their salaries desperately in the dead of night
  20. The NPC cars will be marked by their red temporary inventory as well.
  21. Big W if someone goes down this road and dedicates some time to this kind of RP, would definitely create some interactions from pet lovers
  22. Date and time (provide timezone): 1/26/2023 3:11:00 UTC (However this was tested awhile ago, just took a bit to make this) Character name: Swarles Bridge Issue/bug you are reporting: Players are able to overfill containers if the vol is changed by any mean other than the script that handles players storing, removing or placing items. Example: A player has 200 empty water bottles which are just a vol of 20 and can sit in a 200 vol vehicle or crate without issue. However if a player were to right click and fill these bottles, they could exceed their containers limit and have 400/200vol. Theoretically a player could store 2000 full water bottles in a 200 vol vehicle if they abused this mechanic to the fullest extent. I am unsure if there are other scripts that have a potential to interact with vol outside of the current expected means, this is the only instance I have found. Expected behavior: A 200vol container should only hold 200vol, a script message should indicate there isnt enough room for the items or to simply drop the excess to the ground Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: get 20 vol worth of empty bottles and then fill them in container that you otherwise wouldnt be able to transfer that many full bottles into, the watter bottle will fill without issue and the vol capacity will be over the maximum. Vehicle license plate number*: N/A
  23. I think the requirement for those who do call in to stick around be eliminated, I guess that should be a different topic however.
  24. Much needed QOL improvement, could probably be added as a UI overhaul for all stores as I think the resources between them are shared?
