  1. HI, I'd like to make the suggestion to make a UI addition so you can split a single item off of a large stack of items as well as splitting the stack in half.
  2. Title says it all, there's no reason trucks need to be paying $600 and travelling 16km north and back to pick up burgers for Los Santos city zoned stores, there should be a general goods depot in each main town, or only depots in the main city. It doesnt make RP sense otherwise that a state is getting most of its major goods distributed from a small rural town.
  3. +1 These vehicles currently spawn in whatever state they were left in (unlocked or locked, leftdoor open with hood open, etc)
  4. +1, would love to walk by the Vespucci burgershot or something and sit down for a burger. I always disliked how when GTA V was created they skipped over social-able interiors like fast food restaurants and bars whereas in GTA IV there were many.
  5. This would be a good integration of this suggestion with minimal commands changes. +1!
  6. Hehe Glad the mystery is solved now though, we've been scratching our heads thinking it was picked up and driven off and we encountered stragglers.
  7. Recently comped a drop belonging to a group, we waited for over an hour past the text time, nothing showed. The group later IC asked about their drop, makes me believe the drop was bugged and never dropped.
  8. -1, dont really see any need to change the system based on percentages given in this thread. Keep in mind there a lots of orders going on, and it is not PD 2.5% (or lower in case of random) chance of your shipments, its a 2.5% chance (or lower in case of random) of all shipments happening in the world. Feel free to break your shipments up too, not everything /has/ to be imported at once. EDIT: This thread did raise a good point of off-duty officers receiving shipments texts and then coming on-duty as a result, I feel like the text should only be sent out to on-duty officers.
  9. +1, with 1 bottle representing 1 "drink" at bars its kind of strange for everyone to be okay with just a single or double and then not drink the rest of the night.
  10. Hi, I think people are misunderstanding where the focus is on RCV's, the focus is that they potentially spoil RP and risk vs reward decisions because there's no way to tell that the vehicle I'm trying to plan to steal cannot be chopped. I've had long drawn out and well RP'd scenarios in order to steal a high value vehicle (18k chop, 10 influence) where all the RP and efforts are spoiled because the mechanic turns around and says he won't chop the car because it's OOC'ly refundable. It's super frustrating and makes zero sense from an RP point of view. I personally disagree with credit vehicles and credit apartments all together because they invite a pay to win environment, but I realize the server has costs that need to be met, but the server should also alleviate the potential disruption to RP that these pay-to-acquire features impose. You cant refund emotes, so why can you refund a credit vehicle?
  11. I see your point about the influence, perhaps they should be 0.00 influence then with the reasoning of the sub-par re-used parts that are already within the scrapyard vehicle. I still dont see the arguement for keeping RCV's however, if you're paying IRL money for an edge in-game, I think you should be appropriately locked into your decision. No ones forcing you to buy a credit vehicle.
  12. Hi, I am continually running into circumstances where my character inappropriately judges the risk vs reward of a situation because of an OOC mechanism that prevents chops on two types of vehicles. I believe this should never happen and I will give my reasoning for both of the vehicle types mentioned in my title. Refundable Credit Vehicles - Because these vehicles are refundable, chopping is disabled to prevent abuse. I suggest revoking the ability to refund any credit purchase which has IG benefits, as it gives players an unfair OOC advantage as they can drive whatever they want and refund if they don't like (or if the vehicle gets stolen). From an IC and RP Realism standpoint these vehicles should not be refundable, players should not be using credits to test drive vehicles and then return them if they do not like the handling as this feature is not available to other players and gives an unfair advantage. No dealer is going to refund your full value of the car once its driven off the lot. I see players abuse these vehicles in the manner that they know they will not be chopped, thus they can be more careless with where they leave the vehicle, or even feel confident as using the vehicle as a bait vehicle. There should be no discernible IC different between a vehicle bought with credits, or cash. Scrapyard Vehicles - These vehicles were able to be chopped, and then retrieved at scrapyard for $500 thus allowing "money farming" by repeatedly chopping the same vehicle so they were disabled from the chopshops. I suggest Scrapyard Vehicles get re-enabled at chops, but are simply deleted from the world as if they were scrapped at the scrapyard to prevent abuse. TLDR; Remove Refundable Credit Vehicles and allow Scrapyard vehicles to be chopped as OOC mechanics are interfering with IC risk vs reward evaluation.
  13. Shipments are sometimes invisible from my experience.
  14. +1, would also prefer to have the busses have to stop manually rather than the force stop situation, it does nothing to encourage proper driving and rather encourages busses to go 100% speed all the time as youre still able to make the stops regardless.
  15. Dont see why this chop wasn't placed 50 meters across the road on the other side of South Shambles. It'd be a much more fitting area.
  16. Hey this is a suggestion that I find will help the realism and allegations of nonrp surrounding chopshops, this comes after I was spoken to in /b by police about not standing near the mechanic. Currently under the current system players park up a vehicle within LOS of the mechanic, chop, and are expected to stay close to the mechanic to "receive the cash". In my opinion this causes problems if a player wants to realistically hide while the mechanic is chopping (as one wouldn't be expected to stand in the open where he could be spotted by the road) he is no longer able to RP'ly retrieve the cash from the mechanic, however IF the player is forced to hide due to police or other players, the player is seen as NRP'ly abusing the script because he still retrieves the cash, while this isnt the intention at all. THUS, I suggest the following. 1. Players will now have to manually walk up to the mechanic and speak to them to retrieve the cash once the chop finishes, influence will still be gained on finishing the chop. 2. Police should be able to walk up to the chop in progress and stop it once they enter the yard, it does not make sense the mechanic would chop away as police are combing the area around him and then allow him to continue once they leave. Stopping a chop in place could put the shop on cooldown for a deemed appropriate duration.
  17. I think this opens up to cool rp! Siphoning gas out of a gang's cars during a meeting to prevent a chase, gas selling rings, new petty theft avenues(who knows, LS might have another "shortage" :eyes:) and so on! I respect the -1's however. I definitely see some potential for abuse that would potentially need some kind of ooc address(import only? repairman only? Durability plus possible harm effect for swallowing gas?), but who knows. Feel free to build it up if you think we can make it work somehow.
  18. +1 I would never intend to dismantle a table that is actively cooking, if we want to do this we have the ability to first clear the ingredients from the table and then dismantle it.
  19. Hi, Demerit points should be able to be stricken from drivers' record when they were placed under unjust pretenses, The fact that there is no script way to remove these is incredibly short sighted, officers basically user demerit points to strong arm players into compliance. I said "Well I don't think I crossed any lanes, but if you saw that, you can feel free to place a ticket on me" he said "okay, not only was I going to give you a warning, but I'm giving you the ticket AND a demerit now".
  20. Please remove "compatible top" system for purchasing undershirts from clothing stores, as there are countless tops that make use of an undershirt, but are not considered compatible. This forces players to buy clothes that they do not need just in order to buy an undershirt, and are sometimes stuck with an undershirt that doesn't actually mesh correctly with the "compatible" top. I should be able to browse through a rack of undershirts, regardless of what I'm wearing at the time.
  21. Vendetta Ricercata ; Revenge Sought After It was a pretty casual day for Barker, a few stores hit, a few cars chopped. He had spent most the day riding around with some prospective like minded individuals to conduct business with, mentoring, assessing. Unfortunately that day the city was quiet, not many solid chances to take on the street and eventually the sunny opportunistic landscape of Los Santos ran dry; everyone having prior engagements and other business said their dues and dispersed. Hence, leaving Swarles "Barker" Barkley to his own devices. The thing about Barker is that he may be able to move kilos of drugs, and he may be able to shoot, but he prefers that the public sees him as a simple car thief. A car thief isn't hiding an Obey 2021 8F Drafter in his apartment, you're chasing the car thief in the streets, not going after his books or properties and besides, lets face it, he loves the thrill. Being as quiet as it was, Barker decides to move to pier and picks his target, an Imponte Ruiner; No dazzling target by any means but it fits his criteria of being an unattended car with a good amount of inconspicuousness to it. Barker may be a car thief but he's no stupid criminal, he plans, he waits, sets his timing and he strikes when busy looky lous are gawking elsewhere. But no plan is perfect, you see this Ruiner previously had been picked by an individual with no reaction to anyone in the meager crowd on the pier, so Barker sets out to do his work but unbeknownst to him, that individual had simply been taking the piss out of his mate, the Ruiner's owner who lies just across the pier. *THWACK* The owner of the Ruiner had come up and suckered Barker right in the face, Barker withdrew from his efforts after some quick words of street etiquette (however two faced they may have been in the situation) and leaves the scene, except the now three individuals thought this wasn't enough. They found Barker down at the High End vehicle marker only moments later and assaulted him with shattered bottles, leaving him in the dirt to die. Barker is thankfully recovered by an off duty DCC employee who radios in for urgent aid, a med-e vac in the form of a DCC SUV pulls swiftly into High End and the would-be car thief is taken to Central MD for evaluation and treatment and after some stitches to his arm and abdomen Barker makes a quick recovery and taxis home to his apartment where he cleans up, and showers but that doesn't means he's taken his near death experience well. "Those fucking Coglione's are going to get what's fucking coming to them, leaving me in the fucking dirt? Ti sei rincoglionito?! I will come back and bust their balls those pezzo di merda!" Barker breaks out some wine he has stashed away and quickly finishes it, not bothering to savour it but more inclined to use the alcohol to dim the effect of pain on his body, however it didn't quite cut it. Being how angry he was, and still with this throbbing pain in his arm and gut Barker breaks out some cocaine and quickly snorts a few keybumps. Numbed out and aggro-ed up, Barker sets out on a mission for revenge with wine bottles in hand and a pack of cocaine in his coat. He locates 2 of his 3 targets on the pier, resuming their day as if they hadn't just attempted to kill a made man and a Caporale of La Nostra Familigia. He located them midday, and simply watched, waited, drank and slowly let his anger build and fester for these two clueless figlio di puttana. He watches them all day, fishing, shooting the shit, while Barker lurks in his burrito stockpile of liquor and coke on hand. Suddenly one of the pair is run over by a disgruntled Post Op worker and is sent to Mount Zonah for treatment, Barker sees his opportunity and quickly tries to set convincing scene along Hollywood, where one of the two was seen speeding towards the hospital to recover his friend. As Barker pulls his burrito to horizontally block the alley and bring the duo to a halt, the pair scoot by, still blissfully unaware of the fate they just narrowly avoided. Now even more frustrated, angry and fiending for another coke hit Barker loops through pier once again making sure his prey is still settled before railing two lines off of his hand and deciding he has to escalate the situation and lure them away from pier. Barker whips around, pulls up to his original target, this pezzo di merda Ruiner making sure the view is blocked to the direct owner and begins to simply stand there knowing the owner will come investigate. Before he can see if Barker is, or isnt doing anything, the Caporale jumps into his burrito and drives away as the owner approaches. He repeats this process a few more times until his target is adequately frustrated. Finally Barker spits on his vehicle, peels out and gives some antagonizing honking, and what do you know, the fools are falling right into his hands and follow him. Barker pulls into a side alley, positioning his Burrito in a blocking position and quickly withdraws his handgun, the target follows in closely and Barker lets off a single shot: *BAM* Glass shatters as the Ruiner comes to a crawl and its' driver slumps forward. Barker approaches his driver seat and finishes him off in the vehicle when suddenly he's forced to roll backward as his secondary target slams into the Ruiner, attempting to kill Barker. Barker quickly dispatches the second target after his failed attempt to crush Barker into the now seemingly ironically named Ruiner, however not quickly enough as he managed to phone the police before he can be finished off. Barker runs to his Burrito jumps in and backs out of the opposite exit and flees to his apartment where he can shower, clean up, lie low and plan his next steps.....he can't afford to be caught right now when there is still a third target out there, waiting to learn a new meaning of terror. PART 1 OF 2
  22. +1 HI! if you like this suggestion please consider looking at my Siphoning Gas suggestion which includes having jerry cans refill at stations.
  23. A Fruitful New Chapter "Un Nuovo Capitolo Fruttuoso" New opportunities, old relationships ; Nuove opportunità, vecchie relazioni When Swarles "Barker" Barkley first came to the city he quickly discovered the drug trade in San Andreas, and being the entrepreneurial criminal he is, saw a space and demand that needed to be met for marijuana plant distribution. The way he saw things was that if you have a large operation, collecting plants was far too time consuming and attracts risk as you become directly linked with the precursor product, however people should pay good money to have the precursor delivered to them. No trace, no contact, it lowers their risk and increases his profit, win win. And he was right. He quickly creates new relations with multiple labs and operations, one such lab operator being [REDACTED] & associates, quickly grossing over $100,000 dollars a month in precursor sales across his contracts. Fast forward years later even without his original business model or customers in place or in contact, Barker was still very well involved in the world of drug manufacturing and distribution, he rose through the shadowy ladder of the business, from precursor supplier to mule, to small time cook to running a laboratory of his own of 20+ tables. But that's not all that had changed, Barker had also become a made man of the La Nostra Famiglia and was eager to prove himself to the family. That day seemed like any other regular San Andreas winter day to Barker; cold, harsh and unrelenting. However, unbeknownst it was also a day of opportunity. *vrm vrm* ...... *vrm vrm* ..... *vrm vrm* The number, unknown but familiar and then revealed to later be [REDACTED], a name that hadn't crossed Swarles "Barker" Barkley's mind in quite some time had contacted him. [REDACTED] had left the city for years however was back in town and ready to get right back to making money. It couldn't have been better timing as this is exactly what Barker needed to prove himself as a made man to the family, and it's exactly the connection that [REDACTED] was looking for. [REDACTED] explains that he is back in the city and has set up a new..... brokerage of sorts; but for the more illicitly inclined. Barker set up a meet with [REDACTED] immediately for the two to speak terms, quantities, frequencies and prices, wanting to be as transparent as possible Barker suggests the two mutually visit the black market pharmacists to get a quick read on price, purity, and demand across the city. "Okay, here's the base of what I propose; we're going to buy an agreed amount product from you each week at a fixed price. Cash up front in a secure location. Trusted buy, virtually zero risk. I have to run it through my Madrina, but this should be a done deal" "Sounds good, but.." "but?" "We're also in need of new equipment and hardware as our operations are just now being reinitialized, any ideas?" "Not a problem, I think I have a solution that will work for all of us, I happen to have some equipment I can spare. We will substitute the tables for cash at the current going rate, no need to wait on the cartel to fly in, so no downtime for productivity." "We have a deal, when do we meet?" "Tomorrow, 22:00" Less money his Capo needs to pay, means more profit for the family means a job well done. Barker is a part of something bigger than himself now, he knows that and he needs to show his family that they were not wrong in accepting him into the books, nothing can mess this deal up now. Meeting Day ; Giorno Della Riunione *ring ring* .... *ring ring* .... *ring ring* *ri- click* "Pronto!" "Barker, we good for 22:00 still?" "Sì your hardware is right here, cash is with my Capo. Product is packed?" "Packed and ready, location?" "Behind eclipse towers, 10 minutes" [REDACTED] arrives promptly, checks his hardware and once everything is to his liking nods to the bag on the ground beside him, inside 30kg of crack sits packed neatly in 5kg blocks. Barker gives a nod to his Madrina and Capo who in turn place a bag on the ground which contains numerous stacks of $100 bills. Barker quickly formally introduces the group to one another and once hands are shaken and relationships formed, the trio quickly disperses not wanting to gather any undue attention. Back in the safety of his car, deal done and product secured, Barker finally lets out a sigh and as he does so he feels a vibration from his pocket. He takes out his phone from and reads a text from his Capo. "Job well done" Barkley smiles as he texts back a message before slipping the phone into his jacket and driving off. "The first of many to come"
  24. Hi, I feel that one of the issues of news not being actively covered in Los Santos is that the features that people use to request an advertiser and the feature to request a news reporter are the same. Currently when you use /newsagency you type out what you are calling the news agency for and you must wait in that place and not move otherwise the request will be cancelled, I agree with this usage as otherwise reports would be responding to calls where there arent any people looking for ads. The downsides to this feature is that people who are not looking to request ads, but rather have stumbled upon a crime scene, or a controversial situation, or a protest, and would like to report it to Weazel News to be covered are not looking to spend the time waiting there for the news reporter to show up and thus discourages citizens to report newsworthy situations because they feel it takes too much time away from their day. SO, this is what I propose; Create a new command that puts out a different type of request, that is similar to 911 calls in that they're static and will not be discarded if the player moves a certain radius away and then will delete themselves after an appropriate interval of 15-30 minutes. /newsagency can continue in existence to prevent crossover confusion, /newsreport could be used to request the news reporters. TLDR; people wanting to report news shouldnt have to wait around in place to report it, make a new command to help. EDIT: Not exactly sure how answering reports works with Weazel! So if someone from that faction like this idea and would like to make a suggestion on how to differentiate the two requests while being on duty feel free to add below
