  1. I think the requirement for those who do call in to stick around be eliminated, I guess that should be a different topic however.
  2. Much needed QOL improvement, could probably be added as a UI overhaul for all stores as I think the resources between them are shared?
  3. -1 It seems like the entry-level criminal job is "Pull off the heist of the century". IMO, there should be more ways to make common criminality more common, and everyone can stop trying to star in an Oceans movie. The fact is that players have every opportunity to do every idea that is contained in this thread through alternative RP planning with staff, and this has been done in the past. These special types of RP which every criminal would not realistically be participating in, should continue to be protected and carried out by those who value the RP of the situation above all other aspects of the situation such as payout, reward, etc. Its super rare IRL, why is it becoming an average event on RP?
  4. +1 and +1 Ease of use is HUGE +1 ALSO: There are vehicles with multiple entries with the exact same name (Mesa) but are different, without OOC'ly knowing which is which players have no way to really tell. This would solve that.
  5. -1, imo even when windows are up and tinted players inside should be visible and recognizable through the windshield which the script would "prevent". If players are incorrectly seeing through window tint IC'ly it should probably be brought up as an nrp issue. as a side note: /toggleids was removed because players were being VDM'd and it almost always required admins to dig into logs and take up unnecessary amounts of time because the ID wasn't shown. I think they will have the same issue with this. I think the old problem could've been solved by showing all ID's with 100% opacity upon injured state and we can re-introduce the toggleID's, but thats for a different thread.
  6. -1 for additional accounts for the sake of gaining interest, there are plenty of ways to earn money by doing something. I also disagree that this will somehow help players "save money".. Money Management (saving money) is an inherent skill and not simply gained by having another account to move cash into, people who cant manage their money will always be bad at managing their money. Having money locked away from you touching it, isn't "managing" your funds. Taxes or VIP have nothing to do with this. Below is a post from developers which is the beginning of where they wanted to go with Banks, Bank accounts and bank cards, their intended usage of the RP being that you can separate personal finances from business finances and possibly even include other people in being able to access those finances (As a store manager would be able to make purchases for the day-to-day activities without the involvement of top ownership). Unfortunately we can only assume that this idea has either been shelved indefinitely or is heavily delayed due to other issues, which is a shame because I think the ability to separate business and personal finances and involve other people in those finances with multiple bank cards is a great idea and would get a +1 from me.
  7. +1, pretty sure the developers were already thinking about this (You'll see piles of money appear as people play, and the piles get bigger I'm pretty sure). But there is no way to actually tell how much money someone is playing with, which would be a good addition.
  8. I've only been /vpm'd by people who disagree with my IC actions OOC'ly and are trying to make their point look more legitimate via the special formatting of text. I think above is enough of a reason to remove a feature that otherwise doesn't really have any benefits and a bunch of downsides. It is almost as pointless as the donators channel in discord.
  9. -1 The rule still allows players to utilize full control of their graphical settings, what you cannot do is use external programs or means to circumvent any graphical setting that is otherwise not already available in the graphical settings, this was created because some players screens look like they have mat_fullbright 1 which is completely ridiculous in an RP environment and unnecessary in a game that is 8 years old with the below min specifications.
  10. We're here to RP, if they're ignoring RP there's a complete separate issue here and they should probably be brought to the attention of server staff. Ultimately this boils down to people abusing script for their own benefit, and those people ultimately don't hold RP as the gold standard as how to act.
  11. My point is that there are activities more worthwhile that are already out there and accessible to solo crims. I think crims need to do a little more creative playing than simply Point A to B script playing.
  12. /me looks at which barrier ID 12 would be working on /do what would I see if they lie, report for PG
  13. Solid constructive stuff. -1, small crims don't need chopping to make money and the general public doesn't need the old ERA of car paranoia, it doesn't make sense to be chopping as a small crim unless you're providing the vehicles for a fee and doing nothing else. Realistically that's how it would be as chopshops are an organized crime activity. My char has 180'd away from chopping vehicles and makes a daily profit doing crime on his own in a way that still makes sense for his character.
  14. +1, if this is true. I have not used auto repair in a long time because as stated, it is rare that no mechanics are on duty. Auto repair should either match LSC rate or go back to the old rate.
  15. I don't think there should be a way to serve jail while offline at all, because that does not promote RP or player interaction in the community and that's why we're here. IMO, the only acceptable solution for a character serving jail time while not logged in is that when the user is logged in and playing on a different character, so any other character that user has created that is currently in jail serves their time at something like a 0.1x or 0.2x multiplier. This allows players to provide positive RP to the community on different characters while not feeling OOC'ly punished however the extremely low multiplier prevents players from using this feature as a means to reliably circumvent long jail timers but simply a way to chip away at it. Making DOC enjoyable is a different discussion IMO.
  16. -1, the whole point of vents is that they turn toxic air into non-toxic air something that is not done to the extent of regular household "ventilators" or conditioning units.
  17. that being said, 8 hours is plenty
  18. -1 Script shouldnt stand in the way of potential RP opportunities.
  19. -1, I dont think the solution is to open banks 24/7 unrealistically but to either speed up the "IC time" or implement other ways of retrieving salary. I already have a suggestion open for Fleeca Banks for more IC uses than robbing them. The server has a predictable routine and a lot of it revolves around bank opening. Thats when a lot of business owners order merchandise, its when players stop hunting and go sell their meat, or stop fishing and sell their fish, logs etc. Having a bank schedule allows people to plan their IC days and activities around this (Criminals AND civillians alike). I think we should look for alternatives rather than taking away the ability to plan RP.
  20. been waiting so long for someone else to realize this too LOL
  21. This topic has been posted numerous times -- a reminder to search for the topic you are suggesting before posting it. That being said I am going to paste my reply from a different thread here as well.
  22. +1 as leaning forward gives you the marginal speed boost that it would irl and is not stupidly unrealistic like how GTA handles wheelies.
  23. I think this extends far beyond specific weapon issues and skill issues. Currently players do not consider gunfire as much of a realistic threat as they should because they ooc'ly know they cannot simply die from being hit once or twice. I think multipliers for different parts of the body should be reviewed and increased in cases that support realism (ie. more headshot damage)
  24. Hi, VIPS have access to a feature called auto-lock which automatically locks their vehicle after a defined set of time, which can be changed by the player. However, when autolocks actually locks a vehicle there is no lock sound and no lock indication through the lights of the car, I find this highly non-RP as the sound you hear are physical mechanisms moving and would always be present the absence of this sound leads players to believe cars are unlocked when they are not, and this can have drastic effects to RP.
