Put the old facepalm animation into the anim list
Requiem replied to Ms.Somebody 's topic in Game Suggestions
I agree. I use facepalm on a daily basis as a law enforcement officer hearing some of the terrible excuses people come up with as to why they commit crimes. -
I can understand where you are coming from, but I believe this could be solved by simply finding some self discipline. I don't think its beneficial to spend dev time on personal problems such as this. Perhaps you can even use it as an IC opportunity for RP by visiting the medical department and scheduling some therapy sessions regarding gambling addiction.

Just modify the taser to apply a debuff to the player's stamina/speed so it slows them down after being tased so a tackle can properly be used afterwards. This way, everyone wins. It allows the criminal the chance to still resist or run if they want and it allows cops other options to capture them rather than only the taser. The primary issue currently is that everyone runs the same speed (as long as they aren't injured), so tackling isn't viable. The taser is the only real option to catch someone. Another alternative option would be to add the beanbag shotgun that @Bala made. Then it would be an alternative to the taser as well that would knock someone down from a distance.

ECRP logo switches between locations all the time.

Doesn't bother me that much personally, but it would be nice just to keep it static in the bottom right hand corner. -
Make radio frequency UI toggleable in CTRL+U
Requiem replied to alexalex303's topic in Game Suggestions
It would be a good QoL addition to have a toggle for it, but I don't think its that big an issue right now. The only way it gets metagamed is if someone shares their screen, whether through streaming or a POV clip, and in those instances, an overlay can just be used to block it off. -
I think the better way of going about this is to push for the suggestion of reworking the UI. I posted this on other suggestions already, but if the UI could be eliminated, this wouldn't be an issue any more. Here is my suggestion for how to do that: Rather than the UI and the big skull icon marking the robbery, the contract dealer only provides an address, and the player needs to do /setgps [robbery address] to find it, or just find it manually themselves. Add a new command /checkdoor to initiate the robbery or for others to check for signs of forced entry, or just checking if the door is unlocked (this will help in situations aside from just house robberies). To prevent other crims from going around Vinewood hills and spamming this command at every door, there could be a random chance of law enforcement getting an automated call if the command is used on a house that is not currently marked for robbery saying something such as, "The homeowner believes someone is trespassing on their property, trying to break into their front door!" Ctrl+x can be used to lockpick the front door, just like with vehicles and added to the new interaction menu that was changed for the license plate removal update. Change the Law Cleanup UI to a command such as /cleanuphouse for police to use to get rid of the robbery contract. This command would of course be restricted to on-duty law enforcement officers. Could also add this to the Ctrl+x menu as an alternative option. Until any changes are implemented, the topic of the rules surrounding using the UI to rob someone else doing a house robbery has been brought up within the staff team several times over the past few months, each time with the consensus being that using the UI to know that someone is robbing the house is not metagaming, with the argument being that there would be signs of a break in that had occurred.

Echoing the comments above. It would be redundant to have to do both as the mini game already exists. I have seen a lot of people break free from the cuffing whenever they have tried. Also, take into account that drugs can help these minigames to allow you to more easily breakout of cuffs as well.

Suggestion - Parking update / Adjustment
Requiem replied to ItzzKamu's topic in Civilian Suggestions
Perhaps moving the /park location to the middle of side of the parking lot and keeping the UI menu to pull out a vehicle in the hut would solve the issues? -
Perhaps make a wardrobe specific furniture item that can not only store large amounts of clothing, but allow you to use it to pull up the same clothing store interface that only contains the clothing items you put inside it to quickly sort through all of your clothes and pick the full outfit you want quickly and easily.

An option to lower a specific player's voice
Requiem replied to Rover Smith's topic in Civilian Suggestions
Unfortunately, I do not believe this will be possible for multiple reasons. As already stated, this would like be not only abused, but could have largely negative impacts on roleplay situations (if one player sets another players VOIP to 0 or a low volume and was unable to hear them, it can change the outcome of a situation). Even the above aside, I believe from a development standpoint, this isn't possible. Voice chat volume is set for all voice inputs and outputs generically. It wouldn't be possible to target an individual's players outputs and lower then for just your side specifically. It would either have to lower that player's output for everyone, or not at all. If a player's microphone volume is too high (much higher than everyone else's) I would suggest sending them a friendly /pm and letting them know they are too loud and ask that they lower their mic volume. -
Adding possibility of using /blockade bls for everyone with bls course
Requiem replied to tigerpet15's topic in Archive
The /blockade command is used by government factions for placing down a variety of blockades, primarily being scene management barriers to place on the road and sidewalk. I don't think it would make sense to give everyone in the server access to the /blockade command for just one thing. You instead can use the existing /panim medbag and this will have your character carry an actual medical bag that could do what you are looking for. -
We need QoL changes for house robberies. Eliminate the whole house robbery UI and do the following: Rather than the UI and the big skull icon marking the robbery, the contract dealer only provides an address, and the player needs to do /setgps [robbery address] to find it, or just find it manually themselves. Other QoL changes for house robberies: Either change the animations for smoking a blunt and tossing it or don't allow lockpicking to start until the current animation is finished. Seen several instances of people losing their robbery contract due to starting the lockpicking too soon after /toss and it caused them to fail the lockpick and have the cops called. Lower the weight of some of the scratched furniture. Some of the heavy things (like a TV or sound system) are OK to be 10-20 vol, but a small object such as a wrist watch should only weigh maybe 2-5 vol. Change loot spawns so they don't spawn on top of the cabinets. The UI stacking on one another makes it impossible sometimes to loot both.

Cells open automatically when no DOC is on duty after 30 minutes
Requiem replied to Charlie2231's topic in Game Suggestions
I would suggest maybe contacting DOC high command and asking them for an OOC policy change to have guards allow people out of cells that want to be let out if they are the last one on duty and plan to clock off? This might be better than relying on dev changes to the script for support. Maybe @Chunder has some input here? -
Couldn't you just put the fridge in an area that's only accessible by employees, such as behind a locked door?
-
Per the dev notes, this has been fixed.

I've got one that is maxed I would be willing to sell for nearly stock price.

fair, but I think it makes the most sense to combine suggestions surrounding the new hair styles and solutions to handle the issues players have surrounding them.

Ability to cover license plates / remove them
Requiem replied to Charlie2231's topic in Implemented Suggestions
This is currently being worked on and will be added in soon. -
Its not difficult for police to find your misdemeanor/felony arrests on the MDC. The criminal records for a person are sortable by citation, misdemeanor or felony, so police can quickly and easily remove citations from view for the record to just see what you are looking for.
