For police, the LP being scanned might not be an issue, but you must realize that if people are allowed these kinds of permissions to have "2nd owners" on cars, it will very likely result in the person shown as the registered owner start to get charged with crimes a lot more often as a result of the other "owner" using the car. Example: Owner A (the true registered owner) leave his car with Owner B and Owner B uses it to rob a store. Cops get video evidence that the car was used and was not stolen at the time, then Owner A might get some charges for being an accessory to robbing the store. Long story short, if someone is willing to give their car out to others and make them essentially part owner of the car, they need to be willing to accept the consequences of doing that and could be held responsible for the crimes committed with the car since they willingly gave that car to someone else to commit crimes with.

Sounds like you should have followed orders from the officer and not worn a mask then my guy. Choices have consequences. As for DOC time, its already been reduced about 3 times now, whether through the IC laws and the jail time associated with them or the maximum time caps put on jail time with the script. No reason to lower DOC times any further. If you really don't want to spend the full time in DOC, you can log out and your jail time will go down and you only have to serve the last hour of your sentence ICly in prison. I do agree however that DOC needs some love with more activities to do as well as a buff for the stamps to make them worthwhile collecting. At a minimum, slap that poker table down in the cellblock again so inmates can at least do that.

We don't want tasers to do more damage and injure people because people will continue to resist until injured and then they have to be brought to pillbox over and over delaying the arrest process significantly.

As stated by others, blocking PM's would do more harm than good. PMs should be used to inform other players if you plan to report them, or maybe even try to work out a situation with another player so a report may not be necessary. If someone is PMing you with OOC toxicity, report them. If they are saying very vulgar or extreme things, report it in game and I am sure an admin will assist quickly, as we take OOC toxicity quite seriously. Otherwise, if they are just being obnoxious, just kindly ask them to stop and/or ignore them.

Remove combat MG mk2's and carbine mk2's / nerf them
Requiem replied to Gustavo Prez's topic in Discussions
I have not seen a single player on the server yet disagree with removing the Combat MG Mk II. Solidarity....delete this overpowered gun and fix the meta. -
Many criminal role-players enjoy racing events. There have been entire factions dedicated to street racing and setting up racing style tournaments. I recommend creating events geared towards racing, whether that be legal, or illegal. This type of event would be easier to setup than others and should have lower risk of "getting out of hand" compared to anything that may deal with stealing things or shooting. While criminals can setup street races without the assistance of the events team, having mapping setup, someone to moderate it and maybe even give out prizes of some kind may make it more interesting. One other idea that many players have suggested in the past is some kind of big heist. Setting up something at the main city bank for example where a large scale robbery would take place. This can be difficult without some script support, but maybe admin staff could be used as hostages, bank tellers, etc and also have the event team spawn in some "valuables" for the criminals to steal, and maybe even some interesting get away methods. This concept could be expanded to other types of heists or robberies as well.

Weapon Workbench (for repairing fully decayed weapons)
Requiem replied to Cup's topic in Criminal Suggestions
Doing something bad and getting banned is absolutely NOT expected. Players are expected to follow the rules of the server and we have a punishment progression system and forgiveness system in place to allow for player's to make mistakes and learn from them. No one gets banned immediately from their first "mistake" unless its something severe such as cheating or Mass DM, which is a choice by those players to do something like that. The only players that get banned are those that refuse to learn from their mistakes and intentionally continue to break rules. -
The simple answer is, don't have more guns than you need. You can have as much as you want, but be prepared to maintain them if you want to have a stash. This change encourages less asset focused gun hoarding and encourages more player to player interaction of more frequent illegal shipments and gun deals happening. More time in RP and less time in PVP is a positive.

DM, punishment alternative, instead of banning
Requiem replied to Ritchie Stones's topic in Rules Suggestions
There is already a system in place to where punishments typically start out as simple warnings for behavior and progress is severity from there. The goal of server admin staff is always to put priority on education over simply punishing. The problem comes up when people are unwilling to change or learn from their past actions and behaviors. I do not believe that the above suggestion will work the way you intend, as they will find ways around this. Additionally, it limits RP and becomes an awkward mix of IC and OOC to restrict people from using guns from some period of time. What would their IC reasoning be for not being able to equip a gun? The current system works IF people are willing to learn appropriately and adjust their actions. -
I agree with the above. The interior storage should be balanced around vehicle size. It makes no sense to be able to store a rifle on a BMX for example.

Posting any good RP interactions in the relevant faction RP showcase area of the forums should be encouraged. It would be nice to see more on those posts rather than just a bunch of text. Videos or pictures are great to see to!

Swimming while being chased should be NonRP
Requiem replied to alexalex303's topic in Rules Suggestions
I believe the suggestion is to change the rule to disallow swimming during a chase entirely, including the section mentioning the exemptions, at least for crossing small bodies of water. I do agree that swimming sync in RageMP does cause a lot of problems during a chase. -
Keep in mind the suggestions provided regarding buffing the trucks should be weighed against the advantages of using a personal truck. If you bring your own truck to use for these jobs, you can have mods/upgrades on it that can make these jobs go faster and have the truck feel better to use. If the "loaned" trucks were to be buffed, this would further disincentivise the use of personal trucks.

[DISCUSSION] The Pier Restoration and Hotspot Project
Requiem replied to Bala's topic in Discussions
I think police presence would be overdone if it were shared juro, but thats more of an IC thing honestly, not OOC. As far as the scuba stuff goes, I think if it were to be implemented, it should be done in a way that the scuba gear is restricted to the minigame only. We have enough problems with swimming desync as it is, and I feel with the number of drug lab locations next to water, the scuba suit would not ever be used for the mini game and only for pushing/leaving labs and other criminal activities, creating unbalanced/unhealthy interactions, too open for abuse. As for the events mentioned ((bi)-weekly), I feel that this is too often. People might attend and enjoy it for the first couple of times, then it would die off and people hosting the events wouldn't be motivated to do it anymore. Should reserve those events for on-demand things or at least do them less frequently. The general prices for metal and fish would probably have to be looked at as well. There is a reason no one does it now, and even offering some cool new features won't be enough to encourage people to do it. Despite being an RP server, people will always tend to want to min/max this stuff and simply do the jobs that make them the most money.- 39 replies

Here is my suggestion for going about this: Allow automatic release of vehicle from impound if it was secure impounded. Most often when police secure impound a vehicle, they are simply putting it in impound to prevent the vehicle, or the possessions inside from begin stolen. If it was secure impounded, it also means the owner did not use it to commit a crime and as a result, shouldn't have a suspended license by default. Require an officer to release the vehicle if it was normally impounded. If it was impounded in this manner, it was either illegal parked or used in a crime in some way and this would continue to "encourage good driving" from players as they will have to wait for their car if they are using it in an unlawful way. The car could be still be released in a semi-automated fashion if its late at night with very few cops playing at the time after maybe a 5-10 minute timer and their license is in good standing as others have suggested.

There is no current use of the feedback from these commands. If these were to be used, I would honestly recommend removing /badrp and only keep /goodrp and allow players to see that. If someone has something positive to say about someone else's RP, then I am all for it and allowing the player to see what was said. If someone has /badRP, then its likely an issue of a rulebreak or at least near rulebreak and should just be reported. If you don't like someone's RP style, just avoid them and you aren't required to participate in it. Either that or keep /badrp hidden where only staff members can see it to see if there are consistent legitimate complaints about a specific player.

Argument to the pushing of disabled vehicles to mechanic.
Requiem replied to Bigemoneh Draggyass's topic in Rules Suggestions
I am not sure if this is an actual suggestion of some kind or if you are just asking a question here. I would hope that a member of the administration staff did not just say "because I said so", as it is the role of server staff to not simply enforce rules, but more importantly to assist and educate players to avoid making mistakes in the future, as long as that player is willing to cooperate and learn. The specific rule in mind here would be Non-RP that would have been referenced. I will include the exact section of the rule below where this would be referenced: Using inappropriate vehicles to ram and cause damage to another car. Appropriate vehicles are those with ram bars and heavy vehicles. Head-on rams are not allowed (ramming a vehicle head-on that is traveling towards you). Heavy Vehicles are considered but not limited to: Kamacho, Guardian, Pounder, Insurgent, TARV, other trucks, and vehicles of similar category. Performing a PIT maneuver against a vehicle significantly larger than your own. PIT maneuvers can be performed by anyone, not in a supercar. (A PIT maneuver is a tap on the rear side of a car, not done with the intention of causing damage to the car with yours, that would be considered ramming). Using Script Work Vehicles for other purposes than the intended job. Using the spawned/scripted work vehicles for things other than doing their job is considered NRP per our server rules. This is so players don't just spawn these vehicle to use as their personal vehicle to go and commit crimes, attack/ram other players or their vehicles, etc. Realistically, you would get hired by the construction company and if you weren't actively doing your job or using the companies vehicle for unrelated purposes or even damaging their company vehicle, you would likely get fired from that job pretty quickly. Because the jobs in question here are just freelance jobs that any player can join or quit as they wish, server staff members need to make sure players are roleplaying properly and realistically for that job and the way they use the vehicles that can be spawned in. Hopefully this clarifies where the issue was in your situation.- 7 replies

I can understand and agree with some of the intent of this suggestion, but I feel the overall implementation or execution of this would not work out well. I have two primary concerns: natural flow of roleplay scenarios and enforcement of this rule. To expand on the natural flow of roleplay portion, I believe that forcing individuals to act a certain way or perform certain actions In-Character feels forced and can create immersion breaking or less fun situations for certain players. Yes, some people will probably enjoy the outcome of this and would be happy with more negotiations and the type of roleplay this would force into situations, but others would not like this as much. An example might be that one gang has one of their members kidnapped and taken hostage by another gang as retaliation for some previous hostile actions. The other gang now moves to rescue their ally and they go into a standoff trying to get their ally back. Lets say in this scenario that the gang that had their member taken hostage actually has found out the kidnapped ally was a snitch or betrayed them, so they no longer actually care about that person and were planning on getting rid of them anyways later on. Now they are forced to roleplay a negotiation situation that unnatural and are forced to "care" about this person that they don't actually care about. Alternatively, take that same scenario where one gang member has been kidnapped by another gang, but the kidnapping was simply a tactic used to bait the other gang in and they already have hostile intentions. They aren't interested in negotiating in the first place, but now the rules dictate that they have to. Again, this forces an unnatural situation that people don't want to be involved in, just to give some examples. As for the enforcement issue I mentioned, how do staff members or players involved in the IC hostage situation know where the line is drawn where its clear that no side is willing to come to an agreement, or one side purposely doesn't want to agree to the negotiations in the interest of "checking some boxes" so they are allowed to shoot. One set of players in that situation will likely be fine with the result of the shooting, the other side will likely say "wtf you didn't negotiate as long as we wanted" and will likely report the other players immediately. Overall, I do not feel that adding additional rules to force direction on IC scenarios is good for the server or its players. I also believe that if someone is going into a scenario and doing something unrealistic such as putting their own ally at risk by immediately shooting or degrading the quality of RP in a situation by instantly shooting, this would either fall under the DM rules or NRP rules for poor RP. I also feel this kind of rule expansion could lead to ruleplaying, where the players that have the hostage will make unrealistic demands or feel they are essentially invincible to any threat because if someone shoots at them regardless of their unrealistic demands, they will just report for it.

I will be closing this discussion as it's not productive and the comments being made are not positive. The server forums are not the place for making complaints about a faction or having back and forth arguments about decisions such as this. If you disagree with the methods used by a faction or their actions, you can reach out to that faction's leadership or Legal Faction Management and make a complaint, request, or suggestion for legal factions. Alternatively, if you feel that certain players broke server rules in relation to a situation, post a forum report with the relevant evidence. The contact information can be found here for the proper server staff members:

add planters and importable UV lights to privately grow plants
Requiem replied to Sibyrd's topic in Criminal Suggestions
I would not count on anything drug related done inside private properties being added back into the server as others have mentioned. Growing weed plants inside a private property is printing money in a private instance. Yes, you might need to still go sell the plants to other players or go make them into drugs yourself, but you are still creating an object that has value. If its something others put value on or would purchase from you, you are generating wealth for yourself without much risk, which is not healthy for the server and takes a current potential player interaction out of the server. The solution here is as others have said - just allow seeds to be planted anywhere.
