  1. I personally think there should be a separation/clarification within DM between just attacking someone and killing them. For example, if someone constantly talks trash and it escalates to the point of pissing off your character, then you should have the right to swing on them and maybe knock them out, but not kill them. I don't think the average person would pull out a gun and just start poppin off just cuz of some trash talk at the pier to be honest.
  2. Im not sure this is true. Truckers can make really good money ($5-7k an hour) pretty easily if they get consistent orders and aren't sitting around waiting for an order.
  3. A reset of felonies wouldn't make any IC sense. Why would someone with crimes such as murder, assault with a deadly weapon, evading police, etc suddenly be allowed to have weapons legally out of no where. The other thing to consider here is the weapon update will impact all weapons, not just legal ones. Criminals should have access to different types of weapons and attachments, not just legal civilians. There are different ways to experience the update depending on what type of RP your character participates in. It might be best to wait until the update is released to make suggestions about it
  4. pog out of 10, would view again
  5. So do your one robbery and stop then? Why does it have to be rob the entire state, or nothing at all? I find it unrealistic that someone that was just held at gunpoint wouldn't call the police if they are a legal civilian. This also gives other crims the opportunity to do some robberies, rather than one grouping robbing every store all at once. I feel the way it is now is good.
  6. Felony reformation is already a thing ICly.
  7. I think the automatic alarms are not an issue personally. The automatic alarm doesn't even go off until after the robbery is finished and any decent crim that knows what they are doing will already be long gone by the time cops arrive. I don't personally think the alarm is the reason stores aren't being done. Likely more tied to the payout amount and the marked money.
  8. Agreed that someone destroying a car for no reason is just poor RP and shouldn't be occurring, however, you should expect your car to be damaged and potentially destroyed if you are taking it to a dangerous area where you could, or do die. I personally think this is a good thing as it encourages people to not always use their expensive sports cars (paragons or VSTRs, etc.) for every situation. It would make a lot more sense to bring some kind of vehicle that is worth less based on the risk of the damage instead of always seeing everyone use the meta sports cars.
  9. There are several suggestions already out there on the topic of updating phones, and I think everyone agrees the phone could use an update to work a bit better. I agree seeing the same cars all the time gets stale, and I agree...but with that being said, there are certain cars that are just the best at what they do and are meta. Some factions drive certain cars due to their lore, and thats great to see. But most drive meta cars because they are whats best to use. Unfortunately, just using whatever is best in the meta is likely always going to be what happens because people like to win, or at the very least, not lose to the meta stuff There is a planning clothing update in the works at some point to help with this concern.
  10. Agreed with your concept, except for the melee damage... for obvious reasons.
  11. If you were truly innocent though in a IC situation, there are IC ways to dealing with that and proving your innocence and getting any charges you may have had removed.
  12. To your burgershot point: yes there should be a change in how the people cooking are rewarded since they current get nothing. For trucking: an order comes in when someone requests a restock on supplies - i.e. general store owners, gas stations, burgershot supplies, etc. I think some automated orders should come in every once in a while to give truckers more to do honestly. Similar to other scripts where a randomly generated address gets pulled up and you deliver to it, rather than always having to wait for a real delivery request to come in. As for your comments on the government job, its a balance between gameplay and realism. Some government jobs, you only have to have a clean record for a couple weeks, where others you can't have any felonies for example (such as law enforcement). You always have the option to create a legal character, and an illegal one if you so choose so you don't have to worry about your record on characters as much.
  13. I agree that the workers making the food should somehow get something for helping with that end, but not just a straight bonus like the person doing the ordering, otherwise, you will get players just sitting in the kitchen making massive amounts of food for the bonuses, and no one helping customers. There will be tons of food made just for the money and it will end up going to waste. Maybe incorporate your suggestion in a way that the person that makes the food ONLY when there is an active order in the system would help. Otherwise, no bonus if there are no orders.
  14. Can you clarify how the house robbery broke? Are you certain you didn't fail it and get the intended result? I have done many house robberies and never really had an issue personally. As for the coroners, this is unfortunately a known problem that has to be fixed.
  15. Police officer's aren't the ones that make the laws though. There are others you can also speak with that might help.
  16. Technically, this is something that could be pursued IC if you speak with the right people
  17. Make the repair kit only repair the vehicle to 350 so its barely drivable to at least get it to a mechanic or the repair booth. This won't impact mechanics at all since it will still be at such low durability, if you hit the car into anything, it will stall and not start again.
  18. I agree with your suggestion, but it has been suggested before, and I believe the primary reason it wasn't added in was because there is no animation currently that works for pushing a bike, or walking with it.
  19. Big +1 The foundation for this should already be in place since it exists in other sources already.
  20. Thats done on this site: https://gov.eclipse-rp.net/ Not on this forum.
  21. It would be great if all of the updates made RP sense, but thats not always possible. The devs need to do what's best for game balance and the health of the server. At the end of the day, the nerfs/buffs to different things in game are for increased player interaction, player enjoyment and to ensure the future of the server. I don't think anyone should argue any restriction on the development updates. Be happy with whatever updates we are able to get.
  22. Gonna be honest, I have to agree with Ash above...there are many legal citizens that have had their firearms license for years without an issue and not having it revoked. You just need to be careful about how you use it. Just because you have a firearms license doesn't mean you can go full batman vigilante and deal with anyone messing with you on your own. In real life in the US, if you use your gun and even if its fully justified, you will likely end up in handcuffs and maybe even get charged with something as well regardless. I think the current firearms licensing system is fine.
  23. As Bala said, I don't think it's fair to generalize all cops as not doing any investigative work and "arresting for no reason" all the time. Aside from this, cops are harassed for doing anything investigative EVERYDAY. I can speak from experience in saying that most often when I am on a scene where a crim has to sit in a car for more than 5 minutes, they start yelling and crying that they are sitting around and not being processed (or they just go into /b and say they have to log *conveniently*) and LEOs get rushed into finishing up and getting the prison time started. And honestly, I don't completely blame them either...its not fun for someone to just sit in a car and do nothing while LEOs do their RP (IF there is no involvement with the crim with RP). Can't have your cake and eat it too....
  24. There are two primary problems you may not be considering with this concept though: 1) You are punishing good RP. If you actually have a good RP story arc with deep character development, even if you are the snitch in your above example, why should creative and good RP development after months of buildup be punished with a CK? ESPECIALLY without you even knowing about it. This would demoralize the server and its players to even go in depth with any of their RP. This leads me into my next point... 2) You scare the players, perhaps to the point of quitting the server, or not joining to begin with. If I knew that this CK concept was a possibility for involving myself in certain situations, some players may be to afraid to lose all their progress and investments to even involve themselves to begin with and may either quit the server or perhaps this may demotivate players from joining. I feel this concept would be incredibly unhealthy for the server and the player base.
