i wonder if the possibility of a government trucking company would be an option... like DCC but for Goods and services. because most business owners typically just put a large order say 180k worth of fuel post it as a contract for the lowest possible price 1.8k for example and considering loading a 180k worth of fuel basically takes roughly an hour. its just basically taking advantage of new players and truckers overall. spending an hour sitting on a station loading , driving it to the location, and spending another hour unloading for a measly 1.8k. even money couriers make more and they get paid $100 per delivery XD.

would be nice for the gun update to also include a reset of felonies so you dont have to basically create a new character to experience the update. could be that if you have less than 3-5 felonies you could apply for a felony reset of some kind some of us playing in ecrp have clean characters stained by a felony and basically cannot interact with the upcoming gun update since we are barred from getting a firearms license.

mostly want the gun for hunting and id be wierd if i try hunting a cop pulls up and asks if i have a license so im trying to do it legally

would it be an overhaul to the way firearms are handled in the server? or is it just bringing more guns to the server? im just asking now before i make another civilian character and turn my old one to my criminal character instead. since i do prefer being a normal CIV and wont have to wait for 3 months for the charge i got to expire before i can apply for the license back.

its not fair to generalize everyone that's not a cop as a criminal either. More often than not if someone is being accused of something its always GUILTY until proven INNOCENT. there's a lot of people who didn't do anything wrong get jailed for 1 hour just because they were perceived as hostile. Getting yelled at by someone because your doing your job is not ok sure but you also cant just take away my firearms license because he had a gun on him while being detained. I just want to say that the topic really isnt about cops vs crims but it being firearms licenses being too easy to take away while being hard to obtain and retain. a demerit system might work better other than that i dont really see how it could be made easier to keep a firearms license.

the self defence event was basically me shooting someone for stabbing a bunch of my friends a cop pulls up only saw me shooting a guy and i got arrested for attempted murder i didnt really even try and argue my charge except saying that i was defending myself and a bunch of people with the same people cooberating my story. not really mad at that particular event but i have had Friends in their civilian characters get charged for trying to defend themselves. it just happens so frequently that i think a change in the law might be a good idea.

it doesn't necessarily have to be low effort = low pay. you also are putting the time in when if its low effort. making the load and unloading processes just makes it a little bit more balanced IMO. thats why im saying to scale the job payments lower paying contracts should have low times and higher paying contracts should higher payments. your basically competing for contracts with other truckers anyways and you dont even know how long the loading and unloading would be since after 10000 units of an item the tab only shows 100ths (like a contract would be 150000 but if you actually view the contract details it would only show 150). as you said rp for trucking is near 0 it doesnt have to be completely 0 for 30 minutes.

yea actually would give us something to do besides just sitting in a truck for 5-10 minutes waiting for everything to unload.

Me and a couple of people only used our guns for self defence wasnt even about being a criminal just straight up trying to defend ourselves and everyone around us. all of a sudden because i used my gun to shoot someone and the cops arrived basically only seeing me shoot someone not even taking everyone else's statement around us i get my license revoked, a criminal record and i lose any future i have to get a government job because of said record with not even a suspension issued. sure it could just be chalked up to BAD RP but couldnt we atleast have a demerit system for this instead of immediately just putting the maximum amount of sentence.

First of all i love trucking so i might be a little bit biased. Ive been working trucking for a while now and ive noticed that loading and unloading cargo doesnt really scale as much to where its worth it to do. ive sat for a total for atleast 35 minutes just loading and unloading and roughly 2 minutes max driving to my destination.(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_I4HpR8Kh08 10 minutes of just sitting there waiting to unload.) the sad part about it is it was a $5000 contract. In that amount of time i couldve gotten 30k mining. i just wish the payment for the job scales with how long a job takes like how cones are for road work. spending 35 minutes doing absolutely nothing and just waiting for the bar to go up is not a good RP scenario. its not a waiting simulator, its a trucking roleplay.
