  1. Could have the freelance tow job require a /towapprove. This way they could only tow vehicles that the owner or PD/SD/Mechanics approve. They would tow the vehicle to a gas station, mechanics workshop or impound lot (but LEOs or Mechanics would have to do the impounding).
  2. Putting roadside training so far down the structure is bad IC policy. And that IC policy is affecting people right now. The current policy, while IC, allows people to just constantly earn a salary, even when there are multiple /mechanic requests and multiple people just doing nothing. It just makes no sense that towing is something you need to be high ranked for. Honestly, they need to fix their "IC issue" or staff needs to appoint someone as CEO that will.
  3. Admins check RVs at NCZs, they have even made some server announcements regarding that. Other than that, IC issue. No tow trucks from mechanics in the city = vehicles everywhere.
  4. +1 Overall i think allowing people to have joint bank accounts would be good.
  5. +1 3g interior is just horrible. The 2g interior (franklins starting house) is better that the current 3g interior.
  6. ((discord is not an email that you can use IC))
  7. I believe its like 2-3 months. You can try to get a refund through the refund requests, but i think it will be based on the house value and not how much you paid for it.
  8. What are your fares?
  9. +1 needs to have a wider range
  10. Making a separate post, as people seem to have liked the idea in the other thread, but it is likely to get lost as its part of the comments. Why not make a system similar to BLS for car repairs. Requirements: Pass a mechanic course at LSC or Bayview, regular people don't exactly know how to fix a broken down car so a basic course similar to the one for BLS should be attended. Afterwards you would either get a kit that is RPed or potential for making a repair kit item. Usage: Similar to BLS, you have to RP using it, doesnt work if hood is closed and engine is on. Could have a timer, BLS doesnt have it, but it would help prevent people from repairing without any RP if they dont see anyone around. Effect: The point of this is not to have a fix my car IG mechanic, so it would give some health to your car that would deteriorate. It would add a fixed amount of HP to your car, that would decrease over time. The point is to get to a mechanic, if you run out of that extended HP, you would have to fix your car again. 5 minutes is likely enough to get to either mechanic shop, but it would be too annoying for people to stop every 5 minutes to fix it, so would not be abused. Additional idea: Have a spare tire item. 1 use item that you have to buy, that allows you to fix a popped tire. No need for courses, just a buy and use item, that would fix a single tire. Original post this was taken out of:
  11. Why not have something similar to BLS. You could take a course at either LSC or Bayview, buy a basic repair kit that would allow you to fix your car some. The repair would be sloppy, so your car would be losing integrity while driving, but this would allow people a chance to get to a mechanic.
  12. If death was a more serious punishment, then ye, maybe you should have a choice. But choosing to die because someone is going to steal your RV...
  13. The absolute dumbest thing for some wannabe criminals to do, is talk about "capping cops" and post their contact info... ((Take my comment as IC, but while this is an IC section, maybe you want to split what is IC and whats OOC (the xp requirement). Especially if you want to recruit through here))
  14. ^^^ Most people react to sirens like PD is challenging them to a race.
  15. Personally i am against blocking any door with a vehicle, as the script only allows you to push the doors, while it would make sense to pull the doors and climb over the obstacle.
  16. Would be interesting to see this with some IC changes regarding drugs, making small amounts of marijuana ok for personal use, while offering gangs the chance to import larger setups for bigger production. +1
  17. Not even a suggestion, if you think you have one, make a post about it. If you want to discuss something about how PD is right now, take it to discussion.
  18. IF you believe someone is just straight up breaking our protocols, IA report for OOC reasons. Very few people do have corruption permissions, so you can report that to IA or potentially to forums, as being OOC corrupt without permission is against server rules. For the charges, i do think that the best thing is to have examples, because too often people claim they are getting too many or inaccurate charges without examples. The court faction would have to be likely the 2nd hardest faction to get into, 2nd only to becoming a commissioner. As it would likely be limited numbers + would need to be your main focus etc. At the start would likely fall on the heads of admin+ to handle these. An appeal court does seem like a better option as suggested by Hardie, but the big thing is, if we are gonna be required to actually have full evidence that extends beyond /dos you can expect an increase in time for all charges just because of all the extra effort this would take from regular officers that just want to play the game.
  19. I mean properties overall are kind of pointless for the most part as you mentioned before, nothing you can really do with them and they just soak up too much money. A money squish would likely affect income as well, it would have the same effect as changing 10000 to 100000, everyone would stay the same, the server just has too many players for that to fix it. The 2 big points that helped people out was - when they added a bunch of houses, it caused a significant drop in prices all around and created an opportunity for people to invest and make a lot more money down the line. This could be potentially achieved if something like apartment complexes were made a thing, where you could have as many properties as you wanted all accessible from 1 door (i think there was talk of this). The 2nd major point was when we had the massive auction + new vehicles + housing wipe. The auction was a good money sink for all the people who have it, new vehicles offered everyone a chance to burn some money and the housing wipe made a lot of inactive houses much cheaper than they would have been if they were sold by people, while also removing money from circulation. Personally, i think an auction, new vehicles and a housing wipe every 6 months would greatly benefit the economy, by making cheap housing available and just increasing the value of money, by removing a big chunk from circulation. What i do think the server could benefit from, would be a new tax system. This is a thing that was put in place a long time ago, when i guess 1 million was a high amount, now almost everyone hits the high tax bracket without too much effort. The tax system needs to be updated to fit the servers economy, this would allow newer players to enjoy little to no tax for a longer time, while the rich would still get taxed the same. Maybe even a property tax - the more you own, the more you pay. At the end, the developer team is small, and they already spend so much time working on updates, that some stuff just takes priority over other. I think there is no way to go back to the golden age, where everything was cheap, but at the same time, i dont think everyone should focus on becoming super rich and from an RP standpoint, it makes sense that the server is now full of people from all different financial situations.
  20. So, looking at the admin markers around the map, there are going to be a lot of properties added, likely this year. So properties are covered. Housing is a pain, because: 1. Theres a limited number of houses physically in the game. 2. House ownership = you can have more cars. The first issue cant really be solved, as you cant just add more buildings. But the RVs just solved it, everyone can get an affordable 1g house that is also a vehicle. For 100k that is a bargain. The 2nd issue needs a new system for people with multiple cars. Old people have a lot of different cars, as they keep getting added into the game over time, and with that, they need to have more houses, as there is no other way to increase the car limit through IC means. Yes, you can use parking, but these people likely have reached their limit in the parking lot as well and overall, prefer to use their own houses rather than the public parking lots. If they added ways to expand garage space on houses in a balanced way, people would likely be more willing to sell their houses, but as it stands, you cant have a lot of cars without having a lot of houses. The last thing, i dont think that just because you are less active now you should be punished for it. People like to take breaks, and it would not make sense for someone who has spent a good amount of time in the community, to be pushed back just because they are not as active right now. Houses still go for sale if the owner is inactive for 2 months (3 if VIP), but you dont really see these, as they just go up for sale and people buy them OR as last year when founders just purged all inactive houses at once as well as sold businesses in a public auction. At the end prices will go up, until another major wipe or a change in the system, but you can't avoid this happening in a economy of this type and while it is more difficult for new players to play catch-up, there are ways in which they can enjoy a good life without the focus of owning rockford mansions.
  21. +1 considering it is a scripted business, it should get the same treatment as any store that currently has that.
  22. Had this happen yesterday - found a dead body in the house that i could interact with and later that day saw a lot of furniture that someone must have dropped in their house.
  23. I think at that point you do have an IC reason to rob the person and maybe even more, as taunting gangs is not the smartest move and shows a clear disregard for their own safety. I think these interactions should always be reported as it is showing a clear breach of FRP and ruleplay over roleplay.
  24. Look at it from a gangs POV, you have the same colours as they. They likely realize you are not part of their gang, but other gangs dont. If you start doing dumb stuff to antagonize other gangs while wearing anothers colours, you can start potential conflicts - and this does happen, where people pretend to be part of another gang for either protection or to cause issues between the two. With that in mind, as colours are the main way to identify each other, you have to understand that gangs want to avoid unnecessary issues caused by people wearing their colours. Lastly, it is an IC issue and will never be an OOC one, if 10 armed guys are telling you to change your colours, it is quite stupid to ignore the danger and stick to it just because "you like the colour".
  25. At the end this is an IC issue, most gangs will talk to you about your colours to help you avoid any issues in the future, but at the end, if a gang is fighting another gang and see their enemies colours, they will want to get them. There is no restriction on what colours you use, but i think you should find ways to deal with this IC rather than looking for OOC comfort.
