  1. Jasmine has always tried to maintain alliances with all factions...legal and illegal... This is an example of playing both sides of the fence. (Those who know her best...know where her true alliance lies...)
  2. Shortly after getting officially recognized, Wanted was rolling deep...and decided to have a race competition. We started with this massive 16-car race...
  3. PD decides to raid a small civilian party, pointing heavies at everyone, and putting everyone on their knees... Classic unprofessionalism and bullying which has marked the LSPD, and why Jas turns to gangs for protection...
  4. I crash my Dirt Bike, but my good friend Kiera Cleric drives by and saves me! Poor guy lost his loot, and got arrested. (I tried to warn him!!)
  5. I'd rather see more RP potential in prison. With things to do to occupy your time, which do not result in cash or benefits. Prison is supposed to be a punishment, so rewards should not exist. But AFKing out shouldnt be an option either. If the complaint is prison is boring, how about some ideas to add RP potential to prison time?

    Delete please

Change to the minimum refund amount, sure I can get behind that. I understan why the rule exists, but also understand how frustrating it is to lose cash to an obvious, well documented bug with proof. No to the donator priority. The rule should apply equally to all players, whatever that rule happens to be.
  7. Not getting in an argument with anyone. I don't agree with the recommendation. I am not interested in a forum war. I will delete the comment to appease you. Sorry to offend.
  8. I am not actually. I think they are a unique group, with unique RP style. I know several of the people in this group, and never had issues with their RP.
  9. I don't agree with the recommendation because making it easier to fire off shots in not something the server needs. That is all.
  10. Except this solution doesnt cut into cops v robbers rp, it makes it more prevalent. So not sure how your argument that "eclipse is missing its 80% civ population" to argue for a change that would hurt civ RP, and increase civs being "fed to criminals". I am not opposed to rifle and shotgun licenses for civilians, I am against changes that increase availability of heavies.
  11. I don't mind bringing jail time down and having a cap. I agree at the end of the day this is a game and prison RP is the worst. But they then need to GREATLY increase the financial punishment. There must be a serious repercussion to crime, especially on this server, and it needs to be severe enough that even millionaires feel it. Flat fees, tax hike, remove welfare for XX time, or even a % of wealth should all be considered as effects of prison. Not too many people regularly spend multiple stints in prison and walk out to sports cars and mansions. Do the crime, pay the fine.
  12. One of the major accomplishments achieved on this server is being able to afford your own home. Making homes pay-to-own would destroy that sense of accomplishment and devalue the market. In fact, I think they should go the opposite direction and remove credit-for-cars.

    Name changing

I don't think name changes should be easier/cheaper. Changing your name is something that happens once in a lifetime, usually, and is rare outside of marriage. Yes we have people changing their names 3-4 times for silly reasons (mostly to get attention or get a laugh). If anything, permission for name changes should be stricter, not easier.
  14. Disagree, because some 2G and 3Gs are small houses, or even small apartments. Increasing the radius arbitrarily based on garages would make even worse fail-building. Right now there is an issue with people building which blocks roads and pedestrian pathways, or interfering with neighboring homes. I agree some houses should have areas increased, and other reduced. But it really should be a case-by-case basis. Until the devs have time to do that (which may be be never) I don't think we should expand build area.
  15. Yah not sure where your math is coming from, the scripted jobs all make 6500-10k an hour (if you count farming) without farming, 8k for fishing. I do agree civ pay needs a bump, but the bump should be to gov factions. Illegal jobs don't get taxed, but gov jobs do. After taxes I make 5500 an hour as an assistant manager with a clean record and a whole hell of a lot of hours and time put into Civ RP. I am a pretty dedicated Civ RPr, but am considering quitting my manger position and picking up crime activity myself. Which saddens me greatly.
  16. Makes sense IRL. Does not make sense for eclipse: 1) You can hunt effectively with just a knife. Rifles arent required. 2) Rifles and Shotguns will be used as self defense by civilians, making the already chaotic and unrealistic crim vs civ RP even more GTAO-like. Criminals should have the advantage over civs in a typical holdup, civs whipping out shotguns and rifles shouldnt be the norm. 3) Not a fan of random restriction (talking about disabling guns in the city). Not to mention if a crim fairly steals one of these, it now doesnt wotk in the city? Makes no sense. 4) It is already a norm that nearly 100% of civs carry pistols. Even in Texas this is unrealistic. Even when I was stationed outside an Army base in tennesse, I saw MAYBE 1 in 20 civilians carry pistols....usually in the glove box. We dont need every civilian toting shotguns now too. It would be great if ONLY a few people did it, and it was restricted to just a few for realism sake. But thats just not a realistic outcome. Every civilian will apply, many will buy them as often as possible, and it will turn into another way for heavies to flood the streets. The same way pistols float around the server like candy now.
  17. As for gov factions raising the min XP, thats a NO for me for 2 reasons: 1) The faction owners should and do set their own requirements. And they best understand the needs of the faction. 2) XP is not a great indicator of RP standards. I for one had a ton of XP but was rather shit at RP for a long time because Eclipse was my first RP community. (You can go look at my videos as proof). And conversely, Ive met great RPrs with minimal XP. It is best left to the factions, and is a case-by-case decision. If their is poor RP in the gov factions, they should just be removed, or that faction should adjust their recruitment standards.
  18. Disagree that the only purpose of XP is a gate to gov jobs. Only a small percentage of the communiyy are gov workers. XP to me is an achievement system. It shows a players commitment and experience level in the community. It raises your welfare, and can indicate the level of RP to expect with a player and that characters reputation in the city. Starting another character should not give a welfare bump. Outside of that I dont have a problem with account wide xp. But then the welfare system needs to be detached from xp.
  19. In what world do you live in where a dude holding a knife, and it not directly near your neck, you just drop to your knees and submit? To me this change is just a way for low level crims to have cheap and easy access to hold people up. Currently knives cause FearRP if you RP it properly and get someone in a vulnerable position. But NO running at me with a knife yelling "hands" would and should not cause FearRP.
  20. I don't quite get why this is only something required for factions? And although, like many, I get your point, I think it's a choice of the player to go home to log off. I rather enjoy RPing bedtime, but I think most normal people would find it a waste of time and rather boring going home just to log off....especially if it means less RP if you have to both start and end at your home, which may be out in Chumash or Paleto. Yes, I'd like to see people not log off directly in public, but that's a tough one to enforce.

    NCZ Zones

That's because every unit goes to every high speed chase.... Literally seen 5-6 cruisers chasing cars for 30+ minutes. You know im not wrong.... One or two patrols at the bank or other "NCZs" could be managed. Problem is many PD are here to get in chases and gunfights. And not RP for the sake of RP.
  22. Same as others, hunting is fine, but not other things, namely bags... When I lay out my 4 bags of pretty outfits, I don't want it to be harder then it already is to find the right top for my miniskirt. Thanks.

    NCZ Zones

I think at some point I would have agreed.... BUT the city has changed quite a bit, and I feel rather safe, if I am smart. And as time goes on, I grow less and less fond of NCZs. I think NCZs break the immersion pretty badly. People are constantly arguing OOC there about breaking NCZ...what is or isn't a crime etc. It is also used as a bad RP safe haven when an otherwise legit crim vs. civ RP happens, and a civilian flees to an NCZ....like Tequilala or yellow jack....where realistically it would provide no protection. I would prefer the server continues to modify and balance PD vs Gang RP, so civilians feel safe, if they are being smart. This of course would need a lot more work, but more NCZs I think are a poor way to fix an issue which is improving on its own, through the SASD, general balancing, enforcing PG and DM against civilians etc. I would rather see NCZs go away, and regular patrols of officers posted at the bank at all times as a form of active, RP intensive NCZ.
  24. We do need a judicial system, and one is in the works (granted I've been hearing that for 6+ months). But I think, like the government faction, it will be hard to keep staffed and operating. People seem to lose interest in that sort of thing. Maybe a few judges in town you can go to when you need them, but even that will be hard to keep up at regular hours. And those people would hold a ton of power....and there is no guarantee they won't be just as corrupt as the cops can be when judging. I am sure "certain" illegal factions would love this though....
  25. As been stated, I feel the server is hectic enough without criminals gunning down cops to get cruisers, and driving around in cabs, ambulances and tow trucks. Yes, there is some valid RP that could be done, and would make for an occasional good RP scenario.... (And by the way, I have occasionally seen a well played out scene, and the PD or taxi driver lets the vehicle stay out for the sake of quality RP) But FAR too many people would abuse this system if it were implemented. We already have police chases on tractors, and people using ATM trucks as free rental vehicles. We need more realistic criminal RP across the server, and less chaotic nonsense. As an example, Cab robberies would skyrocket if people could keep the cabs permanently. Scripted work vehicles should remain off limits. In my opinion.
