  1. Make an RV parking lot and put it far away from civilisation, wether it makes IC sense or no. I'm tired of watching my FPS drop by 30 points just for driving past the parking lot. It's getting to a point the RV spam is affecting performance.
  2. +1 to all of the above suggestions. My 2 cents to chuck ontop of these would be, manager positions and a treasury like every other business has. (One would think this one of the few this would be made for!)
  3. Been a while since I made a suggestion but I thought this one out a little bit so here goes; It struck me cheb had great ideas for mobile drug-labs and brought forth some key issues with the labs, this doesn't as much relate to that as it might be considered an addition. What if you were to make the current, server-based drug drop offs, player owned instead. The way I envision it, you were to buy one of these illegal properties and you now get to buy from players through your ''business'' setting your own prices. The ''business'' owners profit lies in the fact that he may sell it back to the server ''The cartels'' using the very same fluctuating price system the server currently uses for everyone. The trick here would be fluctuating different prices at different times for different player-owned drug dropoffs (I do not know if this is currently the case) Aswell as possibly adding a small amount more drop-offs. This might allow some enterprising crims to increase their profit, this could potentially increase RP between grower/runner and drug importer as they figure out a deal that suits each best. Most importantly they had best figure out a way to do this quietly. This is because the way I personally envision this, these ''businesses'' are not something one eternally keeps like a Gas station or any other business. This is a business you buy to hold onto as long as possible before the cops finally find out and raid it & take it from you & put it back on market. To reflect this, I think the prices of these ''Hold onto them as long as you can'' businesses should be in goal with that. Ballparking 500k-1M here for now. The intent is for it to be a gamble, after all you're investing raw money into an oppertunity to make gains in profit margins while if you get caught too early, you will be losing money. But for the right organized group of guys, they might pull plenty of profit out of it before PD finally finds out. So the idea is for the businesses to cycle between owners as it is an ''unsafe'' business to own. Give me your opinions!
  4. -1 coming from someone @ bayview. It's part of crim RP to steal cars, NCZ's litteraly take avenues of that away from them. Watch your cars better or only store those you don't mind getting chopped. Wether to add a proper gate, to the other factions on the other hand, that's a decent discussion to be had.
  5. ''Yeah, let's keep removing everything that's worth-while having. Elegy retro's are too fast, REE!!! Remove! Bikes turn faster than cars? REE!! Remove!!'' Unbelievable. It's starting to feel like PD wants us all on faggio's while they chase us down in their overpowered cop cars. May I point out that the last car added was almost a year ago now and at this point we're simply losing content. Just drive better as a cop. Giant -1 to removing any more vehicles just because PD thinks they're not balanced. Drive better, if you can't catch people perhaps there's an IC way to solve this. If you're all dead-set on removing vehicles like this though, it might be a worthwhile idea getting a car ready for release to replace removed vehicles with to soften the blow. Even if it's a crappy one.
  6. +1 all fairly balanced cars in here.
  7. Didn't know this was a thing. But +1 makes sense
  8. This is becoming an actual joke now, let's have it with the new cars already. Y'all are out of excuses.
  9. Half the price and set a 10 minute minimum. my 2c You don't want to make it practically free either.
  10. Like all my suggestions, short and sweet. I think the server should add the ability for mechanics to be able to choose the modifications on a customers car. Wether this includes upgrades or just visual mods. (Paint, bumpers etc) is debatable. This allows for scenarios where a customer is not sold or convinced on what colour to spray their own car and would like a true second opinion. Allowing for more engagement between customer and mechanic. Of course this would be entirely optional, something that could be RP'd out though enabled with a script. ''Sir, if you would like I could help you choose your paintcolours and show you. That way we can come to a colour you like together.'' -- I already do this, but this would go a lot smoother if we were scriptly enabled to do so. In this instance say a customer agrees to this. The mechanic could send a request, something looking like. /Modrequest [ID] Let me know what y'all think
  11. Quite simple this one, cars should slowly on their own decay if they are out of their garage or parking lot. This shouldn't happen at a fast rate by any means, but at enough of a rate that you'd need to get your main drive a tune-up once every couple days or so to simulate normal wear and tear. If possible this should sync with engine damage since right now the vast majority of people favour dumping the car into their garage or the parking lot than actually RPly trying to get it fixed.
  12. 250k to turn a 1G into a 2G. 500k to turn a 2G into a 3G 1M to turn a 3G into a 4G 2M to turn a 4G into a 5G Cannot upgrade any given house past one higher tier, My 2c
  13. As the title suggests this a simple little suggestion. It makes sense to me if you were to give someone a permanent key to your vehicle, effectively loaning or renting (As many do) your car out to them that they'd be able to go to a mechanic shop and pay to maintain those vehicles instead of waiting for the owner to come online everytime it breaks, which is currently how it works. Again, only for people who own permanent keys to the car and only repairs.
  14. -1 to this idea in it's current form, despite the fact that I see your point behind it. I just think of all things that could be improved about people's RP, this is like really far down that list. However, this could be incentivized. Just spitballing here but.. Log off for 5 hours or more into a house that you own? You get a free food/water restore. This is just a basic example but introducing small menial perks to incentivize RP might be a better solution than to enforce this on people based on principle alone.
  15. Hahaha I race too much. I should clarify, I rate the elegy very highly due to it's performance as a racing car, in addition to it being verrrryyy hard to chase in the city. But indeed top speed is a defining factor. One could just take Broughy's benchmark list, which he runs on a down-town track and pick a top-end bench-mark car from this. I can post a link to it if asked.
  16. As the title suggests, and as many many posts before me have suggested. (I'm too lazy to link them, sorry guys ) It's for time a few new cars, I understand it's hard work making this work with the mechanics /modview. As it is my understanding that each and every customization on a car has to be manually added. A lot of awesome new things have been added lately, the boat dealerships.. boats, hell even islands and a multitude of new buildable interior's have opened up and this is great! Clearly a lot of work has been put into this server recently and it's really awesome to see what's changed since when I started playing. (The drug re-work from a year back) However I feel more and more that people are still looking for things to spend their money on, the islands and interiors are great but not everyone has the interest, time or even money to dump it all into a design of their own There is a big gap between the multi-millionairs and the ''rich'' people in terms of the difference between the most expensive dealership vehicle and the cheapest supercar, in this case the Comet Retro. It's been a long time since a vehicle was added that everyone could buy. Now the argument against this I feel has always been the same; We don't want super crazy fast cars that take away from RP. While it's true that many cars have been added to GTAO that'd be far too quick there are multitudes of cars that're crap, really. Slower than some vanilla cars.. so what I propose is. Why don't the admins decide on a benchmark vehicle, new vehicles added can't be objectively faster than it. In my opinion this benchmark should be the Elegy Retro. This still leaves open many options for new cars between the price ranges of 200k-1M dollars and gives many people with good money but not super-car money new things to spend their hard-earned cash on. It is my belief that a feature like this now should take priority over other things now, just my two cents. Give me your imput!
  17. A fairly short and simple suggestion, perhaps you could make it so that criminals can rob the people who drive the money-transporter job for some of the money on that truck, this makes a lot of sense since they're, well, transporting money around. And through the real risk of being robbed, perhaps the money-transporter job could pay above avarage of what say a regular courier makes. Just a small 'feature' giving crims just one more thing to do.
  18. Except it isn't tax evasion to sell someone a used car through direct means rather than an external dealership that takes a cut. I'll agree though the rule wouldn't need to be changed if PD were enabled to take action through IC means.
  19. Quoting IRL doesn't really apply that well here, since this is OOC scamming. I wouldn't mind this scamming if PD were actually able to arrest said person and RECLAIM the stolen property but to my knowledge this is currently not the case so you can't really compare it to real life. IRL you wouldn't scam a sports car from someone like that without facing serious charges and obviously getting it removed from you. Nor would you buy a house through paperwork at a bank and watch the broker drive off and face zero consequence.
  20. As the title states I think the scam-limit needs to make a return in some form or way. Over the past few weeks the server has caught on with this update in ruling and as a result I did a little test, it turns out that most of the people selling cars for seemingly cheap prizes through bleeter (Think of V12's for 200-215k or Elegies for 220k) and the vast majority of them refused to do it through High-end in a legitimate way, even when I offered to pay the full 5% tax ontop of the agreed amount, it's obvious that they're not even planning to sell that car. I don't see why the /tradevehicle script was added if it's like this. I understand some people might like this rule but consider if you just got taken for a big amount, trying to buy your first house or first serious car and yoink, 'sall gone. You'd be liable to quit all together. So in my opinion we should reintroduce a scamming limit, updated to perhaps 50-100k, whatever is decided on. This still allows people to scam, but within reason. We can buy houses and cars again without the 5% tax and without a garantuee it's going to be stolen. An alternative to flat-out reintroducing the scamming limit, is through IC means. Even before the scamming limit was a thing, I used to RP (And watched others do this) signing a binding contract at the bank (An NCZ) where both players RPly put their signatures on said contract, if this is signed by both parties perhaps it could be validated by admins should it be stolen. Whatever was stolen would be repo'd and you could serve an IC time for commiting fraud.
