  1. Except it isn't tax evasion to sell someone a used car through direct means rather than an external dealership that takes a cut. I'll agree though the rule wouldn't need to be changed if PD were enabled to take action through IC means.
  2. Quoting IRL doesn't really apply that well here, since this is OOC scamming. I wouldn't mind this scamming if PD were actually able to arrest said person and RECLAIM the stolen property but to my knowledge this is currently not the case so you can't really compare it to real life. IRL you wouldn't scam a sports car from someone like that without facing serious charges and obviously getting it removed from you. Nor would you buy a house through paperwork at a bank and watch the broker drive off and face zero consequence.
  3. As the title states I think the scam-limit needs to make a return in some form or way. Over the past few weeks the server has caught on with this update in ruling and as a result I did a little test, it turns out that most of the people selling cars for seemingly cheap prizes through bleeter (Think of V12's for 200-215k or Elegies for 220k) and the vast majority of them refused to do it through High-end in a legitimate way, even when I offered to pay the full 5% tax ontop of the agreed amount, it's obvious that they're not even planning to sell that car. I don't see why the /tradevehicle script was added if it's like this. I understand some people might like this rule but consider if you just got taken for a big amount, trying to buy your first house or first serious car and yoink, 'sall gone. You'd be liable to quit all together. So in my opinion we should reintroduce a scamming limit, updated to perhaps 50-100k, whatever is decided on. This still allows people to scam, but within reason. We can buy houses and cars again without the 5% tax and without a garantuee it's going to be stolen. An alternative to flat-out reintroducing the scamming limit, is through IC means. Even before the scamming limit was a thing, I used to RP (And watched others do this) signing a binding contract at the bank (An NCZ) where both players RPly put their signatures on said contract, if this is signed by both parties perhaps it could be validated by admins should it be stolen. Whatever was stolen would be repo'd and you could serve an IC time for commiting fraud.
  4. I like the admin events, the jetski event was interesting to be sure. My suggestion is to work closer with the actual players in the server though and as Polarblunk mentioned make the planning IC too, involve the players on your server. I've put multiple requests for this in and asked for admin help for my own events to no avail; I just think it'd be cool if we could work together more, instead of it being a ''Server'' event and the jetski's being there with no actual reason it could be just an event that's actually planned IC, worked on IC, the funds are done IC, the means (Aka the vehicles in this case) are sourced IC.
  5. +1. I personally even think they need to bring back the no-scam in NCZ. It's quite frankly ridiculous right now, I'm hearing more and more people getting scammed when buying houses. Having their money taken right at the bank and then the guy just logs off. I don't see even slightly how that's acceptable RP.
  6. With city hall pretty much done to my knowledge and having come across city hall employees before I think perhaps it's time the server could start thinking about this. In my opinion it would make most sense to move the oversight of player-run events and licenses/technicalities of such from the Police Department to the City Hall. I don't know what the numbers for the city hall employees are like but I'm sure with some recruitment they could grow to actually oversee things like this. From an RP standpoint it would make more sense to approach the local city council for ideas for events, wether it be carmeets, races, large parties, night/stripclub nights, casinos, comedy clubs. This opens up an avenue of roleplay for them, giving them a better idea of what the event schedule is like and then where needed it would be their responsility to coordinate with the Police department and MD if need be. This wouldn't mean that PD doesn't carry the responsibility, it just means that we have a means to have more people involved in the process. This I think in turn would let the admins see for themselves which event is worthy the #announcements tab and which one isn't without us having to manually chase you guys down in the latter days of planning an event. (My experience) It is my hope that will sort of enable or even entice some people to pick back up their events, plan them out with the local city council and have them run in a more organised fashion as a result, after all the more people look at it, the more imput you will receive.
  7. As the title suggests, this is just a really small suggestion. I think it'd be nice if legal faction members with the ability to pay the salary of others had the ability to write a short message to go with it, entirely optional of course. This could be nice when for example you're paying someone and give them a bonus, you can actually inform them of such. I have no idea what the commands are like for paying out people, or how feasable it is but I'd like to see it for sure.
  8. +1 The cruise control is indeed broken and I've stopped counting the 1k fines I've received due to something that's straight up not working as intended. Most of us drive sports cars and going from 69 (The limit) to 100+ is litteraly done in less than a second, certainly way faster than to notice your cruise has broken. Something needs to be added that allows us to differentiate straight up speeding and speeding fines as a result of the cruise control not working.
  9. Please please please, for the love of gods add these to DEALERSHIPS. Not just auctions where only the top 1% can purchase them. it's not right.
  10. All I can say is, rip gunstores and rip people who got a speeding ticket 3 months ago. Your update serves everyone but the actual civillians this update served for. Now everyone has guns except those that might need them aren't even allowed to carry them.
  11. I don't owe that money to the government when the reason I got those speeding tickets to begin with was because the system you guys put in place, aka the cruise does not work perfectly. Or let's talk about the fact my elegy has no plates on it. Half of the features of these speed cameras are simply missing. The fact there is no way to dodge these fines either is ridiculous. I vote after an X amount of time, fines go old. Police should've caught you in that X amount of time.
  12. It's already pay to win, half the city's driving a comet these days. But yeah as for the VIP, it's true the perks are so lackluster at the moment that I've stopped buying VIP the month they removed bleeter. You took a few awesome features and replaced it with nothing guys
  13. If the server is going to stick to these speed cameras that least that could be done is fix the cruise control. Jumping from 70-90 in a sports car is done instantly and half of the time the cruise doesn't seem to work at all. I personally don't mind the speed cameras but the fact is the cruise control does not work flawlessly which is causing a LOT of tickets amongst me and friends that I know of. And no, responding to the types of threads like ''Don't speed then'' has no point whatsoever. As for my thing, keeping in mind throttle control on a Keyboard is either 100% or 0% the tresh-holds for tickets need to be looked at again.
  14. +1 protected ((new players)) stunts are indeed getting a tad ridiculous. I agree. If you're a criminal the new player tag should go, after all what're you expecting not to get robbed up at a druglab based on a rule like that? It's downright non RP
  15. +1 If this is possible in terms of sync I'd love this.
  16. Hello, I've posted this suggestion a couple times before but I'll hit you guys with it again! The reason bleeter got changed, rightfully so I might add is because it was not it's intended purpose. It's for advertising, wether it be vehicles, a business or an event. It makes sense they changed it considering what it had largely turned into, a spam fest of semi-personal messages. However that feature in it's own is something that was also great about it. So why not add a replacement to it. We could for example move the ''Bleeter'' system of old onto the UI of our base phone. Add a new little app-icon on there - with the purpose of just this. Nonsense, ad-hoc advertising and allowing people to come together on their own terms rather than waiting for a weazel employee to hopefully be online (Which remains to be an issue on certain timezones), keeping in mind that the current system stifles illegal events. You could set the same limit it had before, a 5-10 minute cooldown on messages, reducing all-out spam and make it a VIP-only feature. This gives people a real incentive again to purchase the VIP as in my opinion right now there isn't any major perk to speak of. A simpler alternative, give us a group chat onto our phone. Just like whatsapp a group chat ''owner'' can choose and pick his members and this allows litteraly anyone to form their own little clique across time-zones and still keep up in an IC manner without the need of mass-texts. All in all what I'm suggesting, the phone UI could use an update and serves as an -excellent- platform to bring back some of what was lost when bleeter was removed without it interfering as much as it did before, as in both these manners you can simply opt out. Not open the ''app'' on your phone and never be bothered. Tell me what you guys think, am I wrong? Something to add?
  17. Please don't release cars for auction, they're bought by only the most ultra rich and don't ''solve the problem'' of supercars dissapearing, or set a realistic goal for someone to archieve. Set a direct-import price between 5-7 million depending on which supercar to be bought directly from the server through the guise of ''Importing it from italy''. To my knowledge the tezzeract went for 12 million (I am probably off on this); unreachable. 5-7 million however is reachable, bloody difficult and a long process but atleast doable in the -current- state of this servers economy.
  18. As the title suggests, it'd be cool for us to be able to pay to have our 3G interiors updated. I know there are a few house interiors left for us to use, add that to the fact not long ago a few 3G's -were- added with a new interior, having seen one for myself it makes sense to allow us to pay.. let's say 150k to upgrade our dildopolis apartment to that one. It's a shame that your half a million dollar house has a worse interior than a 2G apartment. There is a shop already for furniture, perhaps this could be server bound. Or hell, it could be done all ICly through RP with city hall.
  19. -1. I think they should reduce the amount of time you can be inactive before they're sold though - It's true that too few players own too many houses as it is, but that's capitalism. As for tax being used to pay government salary, I can imagine if the impound and speeding ticket money went to them they'd already be overfunded. I don't think this server needs another active money drain that doesn't actually provide us with something new.

  21. Hiding your license plates is a cure when scrapping the vehicle means you can no longer sell it. How sure must you be of a purchase to decide it'll never be able to get sold again. Ontop of that you could add it so that you can write the scrapyard vehicles back into traffic at the DMV for a hefty fee; allowing you to sell it again. Think of like 50.000 dollars for let's say.. an Elegy. This makes it so that sure, you will save a lot of money not getting the speeding tickets. But to write that car back into traffic it'd cost you a big lump sum. This leaves people with their own risk/reward calculation to determine wether it's worth it for them. And if we're talking about realism, let us destroy them then the same way police destroy druglabs. There are many many RP-worthy ways around these speeding tickets, they just need serious thought and implementation.
  22. Why not update the scrapyard system already in place where if you scrap your owned vehicle, it's scrapyard spawns will have bogus license plates and thus not trigger speed-traps. The obvious down-side being already in place, you lose the ability to sell that car.
  23. +1 Considering the prices of these cars it's a reasonable to say it should be guarded ICly and have cameras and the like. Limit it just to the actual parking lot though.

    Custom Cars

-1 No need for custom cars. But Rockstar has released a plethora of vehicles that could be added quite freely. And not another auction please for the top 0,5% of the server only.....
  25. +1 Sometimes when you've made a change its for the absolute worse, just change it back and rework the ideas.
