Yeah, so a non violent possession charge got expunged after YEARS. I can agree to that. However the vast majority of felonious criminals on our server are violent and routinely commit said crimes. If this is a program to pardon one-off non-violent offenders, then it should be stated more clearly, because I don't want to give life-long felons a clean criminal record.
-
I used to kill a cop every time my faction evaded and their car got disabled, but now through character development I should have a clear criminal record and be able to legally possess a firearm license. Does that sound right to you?

This is easily replicated at any clothing store, and "works" with any piece of clothing. ex. Buy a new shirt. No one will see the new shirt until you put on your mask.

There seems to be a pattern with the people voting -1. Perhaps the same people that were scratching their radio screens all the time? This is much needed to prevent big powergaming. If you vote -1, then how about we remove the /ame from PD panic too?
-
The idea behind masks was to allow people to commit crimes with a certain degree of anonymity. What did people do with them? Literally stay at bank 50 people masked up, just talking. Your system will get abused and overused. Unless it's literally millions, and getting arrested will destroy the fake identity, it will be overused.

Getting felonies expunged is a very long and strict process, and in most cases, violent felonies are not expunge-able. They are a deterrent from committing very serious crimes, if you can just erase them whenever you please, there would be no deterrent.

This is a game which attempts to simulate real life. Becoming a felon is not a small thing, and shouldn't be easily avoidable. Since this is a game, it's also very easy to kill off your character and start fresh. The issue lies with people wanting to have their cake and eat it too, you want to retain all of the information you got on your character, but none of the penalties. It's not how it's supposed to work.

This is how cruise control should've worked from the beginning. Good stuff. +1

There was a rule put in place because people easily escaped consequences of committing crimes and your solution is to create a job that will allow people to easily escape consequences of committing crimes. Do you not see the issue? If you really need to be clean, you can character-kill and start over. However a hardened criminal shouldn't have the expectation to be clean or work government funded jobs.

DCC chooses how much to pay you, they receive a certain amount of money each week, and they decide how to distribute it.

Jaywalking is a citation. You said you don't want to pointlessly argue but then you come with that snarky remark at a legitimate comment. -1

If you have a debt of $25,000 and you take out $8,000 in salary, only $3,200 would go to paying your debt off. This would be painfully slow.
-
The issue is that unless people are forced, they are never going to pay their debt off. If debt only took off 60%, someone could just take that 40% that's left and be content to keep the debt up. Criminal activity also pays you in hand instead of in salary (robbing stores, selling drugs, robbing people), so debt is pretty well balanced for a career criminal.

People say that RP in prison is lacking, but they don't mention that one of the major reasons it's lacking is because we used to have 2 hour max sentences for any crime. There have been many RP situations in which one party TPed out of prison because 2 hours isn't really that long. Longer prison sentences will naturally breed RP as people will find things to do, we also have prison activities now with mining and poker.
-
The issue is that those things are not equal, and will never be. For example, the faction that has access to import heavies could easily strong-arm the faction that can sell drugs, because having heavies is more important than selling drugs. Instead I'd like to see factions somehow fight for the best perks, maybe not an actual fight in the street, but more like controlling a certain area for an extended amount of time (days) and roleplaying there, which will result in them acquiring that ability.

This is a roleplaying server. Actions have consequences. The person that you rob: he loses his car for three hours, pays a fee, buys a new gun, radio, gps and map. He has to work for those items too. Prison times are there to deter bad crime. If you are a very good criminal, you will almost never be caught. There are a number of criminally active characters that have been to prison three times in more than six months. However if you are just here for the chases and shootouts, then those will come with consequences, and should you feel that you want to do it without any, there's always GTA Online.

I really like the idea. You can turn your phone off and buy a gps, or use your phones. Having your phone battery stolen will be a bit more impactful. +1

The fact that a good amount of players measure success by how expensive and/or pimped out their car is. I think that ideally we'd like to measure how good we are by how well we portray our characters, but sadly, that is not the case for the vast majority of people. I believe that in that environment, it will be easy to get discouraged. But once again, I hope I'm wrong, and that more factions like yours rise up should you succeed.

I remain skeptical as to the long term viability of a gang like this in the current RP environment of the server, but if you guys can hold out, you could be the first in a new wave of gangs. Good luck!

We do not need any more rules restricting roleplay. If you are injured, you are vulnerable. That's how it's supposed to be.
-
Technically, you did. No one forced you to carry more than one weapon, and in real life you'd be charged like that as well.

-1 We do not need more no crime zones. -
Weazel does not get paid for the default blips. Only for blips made by players. I haven't done the money courier job in a long time, but I believe it gives you a marker to where you need to go.
