  1. Because it completely kills taxation in the form of the house sale system, high end, low end, etc. It also kills loan companies. I've seen much much better RP since scams even in NCZs became allowed. You actually have people ask for collateral if you loan them money, and be suspicious, cause they know you can scam them, just as it should. In the past people would be like come to bank and I'll loan you anything no worries. It's a crutch for bad RP and I'm glad it's gone.
  2. The ability becomes an issue when it's regularly abused by a very large percentage of the player base. There is no way to justify wearing a mask when you take money out of the ATM at a busy bank in Los Angeles, and yet if you slide by the bank, how many people there will be masked?
  3. hi 3 months too late friend
  4. Well said. If anything we should look to reduce the number of NCZs. Definitively not up for adding more. -1
  5. It used to work 100% of the time, it's a recent bug, so hopefully it will be fixed soon. I haven't seen any bug reports for it though, so that will slow it down.
  6. They have been buggy recently. Sometimes they sync, sometimes they don't. It's also possible that the officer is breaking protocol.
  7. They don't care about being caught because one and a half hour in prison is nothing compared to all of the guns and money they steal in a day(s)-long robbing spree. There is a need for drastic change in legal consequences, however it seems that most criminals are opposed to them. see:
  8. Because opening up the phone UI makes your character store away weapons, change other animations, etc. With commands you could text while aiming a gun, which is unrealistic.
  9. I'm Jason Steel and I actually like the Tempesta for what it is, and wouldn't trade it away.
  10. Really excited for this. Don't drop your standard. I'm already very pleased to see how you dealt with other gangs provoking oocly. @James_McNulty
  11. I can confirm this is happening with LSPD as well, for at least two months. Since the panel last updated my rank changed twice. PO 3 -> Detective -> Detective II
  12. Criminals need to be steered away from messing with civilians, not encouraged to, at least until more reasonable deterrents are implemented against crime. -1
  13. This is going to be overused just like masks. The only way I could see this not being overused is if the penalty for being caught with a removed plate is that the vehicle is taken permanently. We already have everyone running around with masks, having everyone running around with masks and no license plates will make us look even more like a lawless county rather than LA.
  14. That's also an interesting idea.
  15. I would be in favor of removing aliases completely and making it so players have a player ID used for reports, that changes every time they connect.
  16. If you imprison people of importance, they could be forced to log in and possibly look to run their organization from prison, creating interesting RP with smuggling communication devices and such. This doesn't happen at the moment cause there's very little need to talk to your gang if you're only out for an hour, if you were out for 24 however..
  17. Interesting concept, looking forward to interacting with you.
  18. Offline prison time is not something I'm against, but it obviously means it will have to be longer (24 hours sounds reasonable) and it would stop things like someone shooting a cop then an hour later hes at impound asking the same cop for his car back.
  19. Since it's been about 8 months, a suggestion reaffirming the community's thoughts on the matter would be warranted, I think.
  20. This seems like a really cool idea. Gangs could choose to keep the location secret for security, or rent it out to people for money but have to deal with the risk of it getting raided.
  21. How do you believe law enforcement should deal with people physically resisting arrest? I think being tased is reasonable, if you are given a chance to comply before-hand.
  22. It's the opposite. People that already have 2 hours in charges will do anything because they can not get any more. If they knew that committing more crimes means more prison time, they might make different choices. It also comes down to doing crime in a smart way, if you are decent about it, you will never see a cop. If you run from traffic stops or rob in the middle of the street, then you can't complain about the prison time.
  23. This was suggested before and received poorly by the community. NCZs are a necessity for areas such as the bank and police precincts but they are not needed for parking garages. I do agree that having just one brings some issues, therefore instead, I agree with @MusketDeezNuts and the rest of the community in previous suggestions that instead, we should have more parking garages.
  24. It's because people will rush them and attempt to kill them because there are no repercussions for doing so. If guards were able to grant early release, or extend sentences, this would not happen. It's a vicious cycle but guards will not interact with you because they will get attacked for no reason because of a lack of repercussions and you don't want to implement repercussions because guards will not interact with you.
