  1. still a relevant suggestion.
  2. Who is going to be in prison developing their RP if everyone gets out after an hour of watching netflix? I know for a fact DOC has been trying very hard to keep activity in all timezones, even when the server has 80 people, they'll have two guards. There is no excuse.
  3. How is it not an argument? It makes perfect sense in the fact that the LSPD is missing other features that makes real-life enforcement easier/stronger such as (working) spike strips, the ability to cause traffic breaks, cameras that actually record stuff, etc. The fact that certain things are missing from the game, and the LSPD is given other advantages in the context of the game is completely logical, unless you are arguing in bad faith and wish to say that LSPD shouldn't have anything that isn't realistic but at the same time criminals can shoot cops and get out of jail within 2 hours. Is that realistic?
  4. Spikes strips are currently not functional / too functional. Either you will use them and they will not work, they will just be a ramp and send the vehicle flying or you will use them, they will work but then they will stay there until server restart (popping every tire that goes over it). (unable to be picked up) I believe that's the main reason they're underused right now.
  5. hi Andor. Hope you're well, I don't want your super.
  6. I've been thinking about bootleg stuffs for a while. Great suggestions all around.
  7. That is incorrect. All officers get issued a firearm covered by the department, they may choose which model of firearm it is (depending on the size and budget of the department) but it is paid by the department. Departments also give them permission to carry a secondary/backup firearm, usually of their choosing, but sometimes subject to restrictions. They do not buy their main firearm. Heavy weapons are mandatory in any large cities following the North Hollywood shootout between law enforcement and heavily armored bank robberers. It was clear to everyone that law enforcement needed to have bigger weapons available, and since then, and following other notable shootouts, law enforcement agencies will approve (but not always issue) heavy firearms to most officers.

You're obviously heavily biased towards the criminal side. I asked you once to not bring one side of the real life, because it will only prove how ridiculously easy criminals have it on the server. If a gang attempted to attack a prisoner transport, all of their gang members would be in lockup for 72 hours, without charge, just for questioning. If a gang member was arrested for killing a cop, he would leave prison in 20 years, maybe, assuming he killed him without an illegal weapon. In the context of the game, you kill 20 cops after you have 200 reckless operation charges, go to prison for 1 and a half hours, because VIP affecting IC prison times, and then you get out of prison, sometimes before the cop is even done with the paperwork/medical RP/the situation, and the biggest issue with that is that you got a fishing rod taken? I haven't been to Detroit either, that must be why I don't see your side of the argument.

And if people were summoned here, how many would show up? If if they don't show up, how harsh is the punishment in real life compared to here? Do you think people that kill cops would ever be out of prison? More yet, 120 months after their arrest? If you bring real life into this, you will find out that criminals have it so so sweet than what it would realistically be.
  10. The way it works here is people ask OOC but RP related questions via the use of /do. ex. /do Where would your gun be? If you were to say /b Where would your gun be? It would serve the same purpose, but it's generally frowned upon because people usually use /b to complain about something that is in-character. Such as a person being arrested going /b I didn't do anything wrong.
  11. Working at LSC does not make you a legal citizen. If you engage in weapon or munition trafficking you are a criminal, regardless of where you work.
  12. GTA supports two colors for most vehicles, usually called a primary and a secondary color. They can be normal paint, metallic, chrome, etc. However in our implementation on eclipse, if you select any special paint it applies it to both primary and secondary, greatly limiting paintjob options. In the normal game, you can do stuff like having a chrome car with matte green accents, or vice-versa. My suggestion is that the modmenu should have a tab for primary color which you can make metallic, chrome, etc and a secondary color option which you can make into metallic, chrome etc. This would greatly increase paintjob possibilities and varieties.
  13. There are so many dealerships on the beach in coastal cities. Miami is pretty much is known for beach dealerships, you can find real life supers there literally next to sand, probably in Santa Monica too. It takes years for salt air to corrode paint. It's not a big issue as you make it out.
  14. There have been some recent changes to illegal imports (specifically law enforcement being notified sometimes) which became quite an issue because of a lack of a good way to deal with it other than literally securing every shipment. The way it works right now is that if you wish to order 50 smg ammo and 50 pistol ammo, they are both in stock, you order them both. They most likely will end up in different places. The suggestion is that you should be able to merge orders together into one larger order that arrives at the same time, at the same spot. This way whoever manages orders for the gang could elect to have a large shipment and guard it with all available members. This would be optional. I think this could create some interesting interactions between law enforcement and criminals.
  15. Don't spray at SWAT, run away from SWAT. It's much more unrealistic to try to go toe to toe with SWAT than them having level 3A armor.
  16. You'll remain homeless unless you change your budget drastically.
  17. After manufacturing drugs, do you always sell them to players, providing good roleplay to the server, or do you have the option to sell them in automated drop off areas which instantly spawns cash? How about the mining ore dropoff that people are literally camping to extort new players to the server out of their ore? The butchery drop off? Is that the good thing of automation then? because I didn't see you suggest those being removed and only having the ability to sell those things to other players. You also present this as a false dichotomy "if its automated, PD is not making use of actual informants, providing good RP", why? There is no reason the LSPD can not have an actual player informant, and 4% of shipments being automatically informed about. This isn't anything but a double standard, where its fine for you to sell drugs automatically to NPCs, but the LSPD having 4% of a task automated? It's NonRP, Powergame and all of those?

    RP Score

I'm a bit on the fence on this, because it's very easy to misuse the command and there's no real check on it, which results in it being a popularity contest rather than an actual objective gauge of how good of an RPer someone is.
  19. I don't think you have a lot of experience with getting robbed by a gang. As far as I know, you can't break out alone right now, so adding the ability, different discussion. Call a friend? or the cops? They took your phone battery too. For no reason, it's $150, just to do it. A gun costs ~$5000 now, and if they break into your car, you could have a spare there, that's $10000. Taking out your vehicle is $500 from the parking garage, but how much is it from Mors? Oh, another couple thousands. Pair that with the bobby pins to break out of zip ties, with the phone battery, one/two guns and we're talking $20,000. Plus if you were doing a job like fishining, mining, trucking, or any other job? That was interrupted for hours. Shit happens, just not to the criminals, they are exempt? The idea is simple, if criminal action makes someone lose x amount of time from their activity/progression, how is it unfair to expect the criminal (if caught) to also lose out in activity/progression?
  20. Because you don't have any arguments on how this would be objectively better. You admitted yourself that it's not more realistic. The only reasonable argument that you've put forth is that it would be better for new players, and I can even agree to that argument (somewhat). The question still remains, why would new players get an artificial, unrealistic advantage over older players? That's never addressed beyond "I don't like that older players make money easier than me".
  21. Don't straw man me. What about the time that it takes him to find someone to cut the zip ties that were added for no reason? What about the time it takes him to get to Mors without a vehicle? What about the time it takes him to get the money to retrieve the vehicle, and replace the lost items? Is that offline time as well?
