    Los Zetas

Ooof are Zetas slowly becoming bunch of cliques? The Wolf Packs, Goblins, Curry Brothers who's next ;). But to be fair, Im happy to see some rp posts on this thread lately. Ideally I would like to see more group rp, not just individual rp's.
  2. I can see this as a good thing as tbf, the few times when I've tried hunting I was just driving around in circles from one spot to another and maybe found one rabbit in all my tries, while I hear people come back with bags full of gain. Maybe there is a secret we don't know.
  3. DIPLOMACY and ACTION
  4. I love to follow your stories and all, but one thing I have noticed and it starts to look like a spam of content is the fact that several of your members would either post screenshots from the same scenario or even do the same story like you just did in the last 2 posts from WCA member. I understand that publicity is important, but it just starts to look like attention seeking for the thread. I believe your organisation has enough well know community members and your activity is good enough to not do it that way. Wouldn't you agree?
  5. Time has finally come to reveal what stands behind the persona of Raul Guerra. What is his history in the city of Los Santos, his connections to Novo Los Aztecas and how it all came along. Raul Guerra was born in Los Santos and for the first 10 years lived in the downtown area, near El Burro Heights. His mother and father were immigrants from Puerto Rico. Considering that a lot of people imigrated from various south american countries and other places with latin population, the North Americans did not embrace it with open arms, opposite in matter of fact as a lot of hate and race crime started to happen. Durring those years the community protection groups emarged, consisting of young and strong men who swore to protect their communities from any physical harm. Rauls father also became one of such activists. With the continious Mexican and other Hispanic/Latino people immigration hitting roof highs, these community protector groups became bigger and bigger and it was not long till they started to realise the power they had. Each of these communities started to divide their territories where they operated and took any other block member in their block as a hostile action. From patriotic community groups most of them became orginised criminal organisations. Truth to be told you cannot blame all on the hate and race crime around them, it was also the daily struggle to survive and the criminal world was an easy way out of that struggle and chance to earn better money for their familias. Rauls father quickly became a trusted member of his group that they named - Varrio Los Aztecas. The group had their own territory that they protected, their own business niche and inside policies. Raul never saw how it actually grew to be what it was when he was born, but he still managed to see the struggle that came at the end of the era of most of these groups. The Varrio Los Aztecas were one of the dominating latino forces in the Los Santos city and a lot of things had happened in the time of existing for almost 20 years. As everything in life goes full circle, the full circle came for the Varrio Los Aztecas as well. Finally the FIB and PD had caught up with all the illegal activities and parts taken in the criminal world, had enough evidence to shut the group down. Everything started to crumble and during this downfall Rauls father refused to give it away without a fight and fight was what he got. One of the PD raids on a Varrio Los Aztecas warehouse ,where they stored weapons, ended in a shootout where Rauls father was fatally shot. That was the last drop for Rauls mother and she packed her and Rauls bags and left the house. They moved to Rauls cousins who chose a different path and lived in a small apartment in the city. He spent next 10 years of his life sharing a small room with two of his cousins. When Raul turned 20 he decided to go to Puerto Rico and experience his culture at its fullest. He wanted to see where his mother and father were born and grew up. Where did they fell in love, how did they live and after all - why did they fled that place. Raul had family still living in Puerto Rico and they were more than happy to take him in. Next 5 years he spent in Puerto Rico, but not much is know about that time in Raul's life. Upon arriving back in Los Santos Raul realised that the city has changed a lot and not to the best side. The gangs were running the town and similar to what happened when Varrio Los Aztecas were made, the immigration was skyrocketing in Los Santos making the city overpopulated and not being able to supply everyone with jobs, housing and comfort. Exactly the same people turned to whatever means they needed to survive and the survival with time became a lifestyle. The crime levels in the city were so high that PD just simply did not have enough manpower and resources to control it. Soon after being back in the city he met up with his long-term childhood friends - Salvadore and Hector. They were close friends since their fathers were part of the VLA group. After Raul moved they still kept contact through out the years and their connection through the Latino community and their friendship was strong. The next week Salvadore called Raul and Hector to discuss something. Salvadore was known to be quite temperamental and some who could easy lose control and what was happening in the city was irritating him. He talked to both of them and was very firm on the idea that we need to take back our Barrio where we grew up. He had this idea in his mind to rebuild what their fathers once had and protect the community. Raul listened to all of what Salvadore had to say but was not convinced, so he said no at that moment. In a need to make money and pay for the living, Raul applied as a driver in DCC. During the interview process Raul struggled with the traffic laws due to living for the last 5 years in Puerto Rico where traffic is not that strict as here. Nonetheless the DCC management saw Raul as a hard worker and decided to give him a chance. He became the trainee on probation until proven his ability to became a full trainee. He mainly worked late nights and early mornings, when most of the drivers have finished their shifts. He wanted to show that he is willing to sacrifice his sleep to offer the service to the customers of Los Santos. It was a very lonely time as not many people were around and most of the time he was just sitting in his taxi waiting for a call to come in. A month or so passed and for the very first time he experienced the crime on his skin. When he was hired he was warned about the crime against the taxi drivers and was informed that company's policy allows to carry a fire arm for self defense, but Raul ignored it. In the upcoming weeks the attacks and robberies became more and more often and that made Raul think. He either could keep being a victim or he could fight the crime, but fighting crime was not effective as a taxi driver, which lead to two choices - join law enforcement or Salvadore. Two or three months passed since the conversation about Salvadore's plan and while Raul was looking for alternative lifestyle opportunities, Salvadore and Hector proceeded with starting up the plan. They have had already acquired a property in the old Barrio in El Burro Heights and moved there. They were getting some support from the local Latino people that still were living in the area and also like minded people had joined the cause. Raul had another sit-down and talk with Salvadore and Hector and they all agreed on Rauls position in the group and how to approached the plan of reviving what once were Varrio Los Aztecas. As the group of the next generation Varrio Los Aztecas it was only logical that the new name was chosen for this new group - Novo Los Aztecas. Raul became a consejero for the NLA, someone who was the one dealing with diplomacy when needed as Raul had good communication skills and could keep himself in line even when he shouldn't. He was loyal and believed in mutual respect, even between enemies. For that reason Raul had earned a nickname - El Carebro, which in translation to English means The Brain. The next months went very smooth for Novo Los Aztecas with new members joining and the group growing slowly, community accepting them and overall living a peaceful life. As everything was going very well with the familia, Raul saw an opportunity to build some relationships outside the state. He decided to travel to Mexico and speak with some local gun dealers to see could they involve themselves into gun business, considering NLA had no drug policy. In full confidence that Salvador and Hector will take care of things, Raul left to Mexico. Faith had put NLA on a path of doom as the big players of the city started to pay attention to the group and decided that it is time for them to chip in the respect that they deserve from NLA. As the consejero was away, Hector and Salvadore took the charge in having the discussions about possible deals and what exactly was asked from them. Raul was kept informed about the situation but him not being there and Salvadore's pride with his temper made everything go bad. Novo Los Aztecas familia was painted as targets for disrespect. Raul was in a position where he could not leave Mexico so he tried to deal with the situations via Hector and Hector was acting as the spokesperson and desperately trying to defuse the situation that arose between the groups of Triads, Zetas and NLA. That did not help and Hector feeling like he let down the familia or even made it worse, decided to sacrifice his own life to buy some time for the familia hoping that Raul would return on time to deal with it. After finding out about Hectors death Raul returned to the city. The hunting by all three sides have been ongoing for some time now, but Raul was not keen on fighting and war as it serves no benefit. His main goal was to make sure that the familia goes back to how it was, so that Hectors sacrifice would not be in vain. A meeting was set and for the first time Raul met with the leaders of the Triads and Los Zetas and the talks went as they were suppose to go in the first place. Understandably the requirements were higher than the initial offer, but it was what it was. Raul has returned as the consejero of the Novo Los Aztecas and will make sure his familia is never again put in such spot.

  7. I will be honest and I did not read other comments about this suggestion, but I trust, I will be corrected if I say something that has been there. When it comes to introducing turf system then I would be for it with a rule. Each organisation would be able to have 3-5 turfs (really based on how big the turfs would be area wise). If we gonna add turfs and see that the main gangs would just take all the city under scripted turf, then what is the point of it? You're already driving around the city and the whole state like you own it. I guess script to show that you own everything is needed eh? If Gangs would be allowed to have specific amount of turfs, then I believe it would be more realistic in sense of criminal rp and diplomacy.

  12. Well I can tell you that if you're looking for RP more than other things, then maybe try to find OUTLAWS MC. We are trying to do just that. My character slots are too full to make another one.
  13. Im only for it and have been trying to find people with the same mindset. Any idea how we could do that without breaking rules of Metag?

    Anyone Else?

To be honest Im not quite sure why are you still talking about LC. Besides I never said nothing about excuses to do VDM or DM at bank and did not blame no one. I actually left LC and my General position because I was not happy with the RP and the daily activities of LC did not satisfy me from the RP standpoint. When you say you're not a low level street gang, then why so many of your members do petty crimes like stealing GPS, Map, Radio and bags? If your intention is to rob you you must have a good reason, something specific you're looking for for, stealing GPS from a person that has nothing else is robbing just for sake of robbing, nothing else and that's pitiful imo. And you misunderstood what I mean with having a conversation before robbing, I meant that I will actually have a conversation with a person and try to rp if I clearly see there is no point of robbing that person. I will talk and leave that person alone. I never said that I talk to someone and then rob them...but you guys do that...maybe that's where the confusion happened. Also tehnically I've never was on the loosing side of the war as I left LC before the war, at the time of War I was part of Irish, as I was looking for that better RP, but I was not active at that moment so never participated in no shootouts. I was neutral for some time, but you dont do "neutral" anyways. It's either enemy or forced "neutral" on your terms. And don't get me wrong, I understand all that tax thing and it does make sense to a point. Where it makes no sense is when there are no rules or as you say "ground work" for what the tax is actually asked for, when does it apply etc. If I would make a lacross team, probably would be taxed for having a stick and 4 teammates. I like when things are logical and make sense. Im willing to do CK if the RP makes sense because I understand that it is part of character development. I mean overall Im not surprised in the slightest of you guys not seeing any problems on the server with how the things are. I bet that from inside everything indeed is super chill and cool and no issues. But it is not like that from outside and that's what we are talking here about. Im talking about understanding other side, respecting everyones time, showing that example of an rp and doing it together.

    Anyone Else?

Sure I was part of LC, but do you actually know my game style, do you actually know what did, what I want and what was i doing or not? Probably never actually interacted with my character much or at all. When you say I am your enemy ICly are you actually sure about it? Am I your enemy because I made myself an enemy or because you made me your enemy in your books? When you say that the same two people are the only ones saying stuff/being negative you're lying. Sure I can agree that you will see me express my opinion again and again on the same matter as nothing is changing, but look who actually brings it up. It is never the same people, it's always someone new who got to taste the same shit as many others. This topic itself had almost 1 page full of opinions about the whole thing before I even posted and like 2 of the people posting are new to the server (if Im not mistaking). Yeah, we (LC) had some people who decided to do Mass DM and you can bring it up as part of showing what was wrong with LC. But why dont you take in consideration that so many people have ended their game with a ban by specifically attacking Zetas? No one does that with Triads, Wanted, Rooks or whoever else...it's always Zetas for some reason. I dont think it's coincidence. When it comes to the question of what I've done to make this server to have better RP? Been part of a faction that purely was focusing on RP not cash, was sticking to logical authentic representation of the group, the story, position in the town, the development of the group and now I am part of another group that will try to do the same, but this time with lessons learned from the previous attempt. Additionally I've never robbed a fisherman, never robbed a farmer or attacked anyone on the street or in the lab just because I can. I engage into conversation before I engage into a gunfight (and not in the same scenario as your fellas do). What Im preaching here has nothing to do with "my way" or "your way". It's about everyone working together to bring good and positivity to everyones roleplay on this server and stop acting like it's a game to win. When people will start respecting other people and their time spent on this server then we will get rid of the times when one destroys the fun and positive exprience of another for no reason, just because he can. There is time and place for all sorts of roleplay and I will support that as someone who really enjoys good rp, but I will not support something that is low quality and level rp. As I know you're a long time OG of the specific group and we have had few opinion exchanges and I see you as someone who can be respectable and logical, I see that you have your opinion of "everything is peachy, not sue what you on about" and it shows that you've actually not been on the other side even as a simple civilian. In no way I can say that everything and all is bad, but I wish it would be a better and a litle bit nicer place for everyone.
  16. All cool and that, but wouldn't that text message sent in front of your enemy while grabbing cash be considered powergaming?
  17. OBESE

    Anyone Else?

You're not the first and probably not the last newcomer who says this. Hell, even veterans say the same thing after being on the server for good amount of time. That is why there are some new organisations emerging who are trying to gather people under one roof those who want to rp first and make money second. These new organisations are something like revolutionists and as in any revolution they have to stand against already established old-school ways which is not that easy.

    Anyone Else?

I mean like you said - others have told you the same and trust me there are way more that wishes the same. None of us wants to get rid of these organisations or these people, we just want to enjoy our time after hard work day or day in school and not be fuelled with that negative, greedy and ignorant rp. I know that some will think "dont get mad about it, it's a game" but Im in this game for a reason. It's not my character that gets the emotions from a good or bad rp, it's me as a human being, so I do care.
  20. OBESE

    Anyone Else?

The leaders would not, at least not straight out of the bat. How it happens is the snowball effect or chain reaction. If there is an issue with that involves any young buck then either he will have same or maybe bit higher ranked guys supporting him, which still does not concern the leadership, which gives them young bucks to deal with the situation how they seem fit, but if the issue continues, then it is presented and taken as an attack on the organisation, not specific individuals maybe, then it's the time when the leadership involves and makes the decision to outcast one or another group/gang. So it always leads to the same outcome. The mindset of aggression towards one of us is an aggression towards all of us. And when it comes to organisations, their image, their actions, their level and skill of RP, it is very much so dependant on the leadership. If the leadership does not expect or force good rp on the people in their organisations then there is no ground set and it ends up being what it is.
  21. OBESE

    Anyone Else?

Also to add to what you just said, the way that these businesses and properties were acquired is mind blowing as well. I remember the night when the stores were added to the server. All of them were being camped by one or another gang and if you wanted to buy the store you could not. That's why most of the stores were purchased by gang leaders and police officers, because gangs were camping locations and not letting no one close, putting them at gun point and telling them to leave, if not robbed while police officers kind of had immunity to that, considering they could call for a backup. So how realistic "not play to win" mindset was that? Did anyone cared? Not really.
  22. OBESE

    Anyone Else?

I agree on what you said and even made a topic about it, which of course lead nowhere as it is IC thing and also a power flexing moves. Anything that gives big gangs a reason to mess with you will be taken with open arms. Here is the topic - As a representative of Los Santos City Hall I can tell you that such questions have been brought up OOCly but there are not decisions made on that matter as the government faction is still very young and has a lot of other things to deal with first. I would think that with time this question will be brought up again and a decision will be made. I personally agree with you guys. How I see things is that those gangs that offer the closest gameplay of GTA Online are the ones that thrive. The big and strong organisations are those that give as close of gameplay to GTA Online and also manage to control everyone to the right amount to not get punished. YOu might not agree with me, but it is true tho, because most of the people want to join big gangs. Why? I don't know, but I would imagine one of the reasons is power that comes with the affiliation. When a young buck who has just joined a Zeta or a Triad or any other bigger gang can come up to someone who could be considered as a veteran on the server and whos character might be a well known person in criminal world for whatever reason and disrespect, just because he has gained that access to the power of a specific colour is not how it goes, imo. I personally enjoy rp, Im not the best roleplayer by any means, but I try to do my best. I always consider the time and effort that others have put into their character and for that I have set rules to myself IC and OOC. Im here to enjoy my time and I want other around me to enjoy their time as well, so ignorant and greedy RP is just bad rp.
