  1. Supers are coveted cause they are rare and expensive. making them easier to acquire would entirely diminish their appeal. they're not meant to be fast, they're a status symbol. if there are GTA classified supers that haven't been added to the server yet, they need 1 model in the server. adding multiple models of the same super for the sake of them being more accessible i think is a bad idea. Edit: if a player who owns a super becomes inactive, the car should be repossessed, the car put back up on auction/raffle, and the previous owner given the auction/raffle amount as compensation. limit supercar ownership to 1 per player, just like stores.
  2. - some way for a legal faction to have custom invoices. something like /invoice [ID] [amount] that deposits directly into the treasury. - some way to set up an automatic reoccurring invoice for businesses that offer ways to rent things. - Allowed to have a few functional CCTV cameras that are accessible by law enforcement - access to the poster system, rules to only use it on their property. - ability to have a garage at the property location. - a way for non faction members to deposit payments into the faction treasury by interacting with an ATM or cashier desk on the property. - ability to export treasury log as .xlsx file (google sheets/Excel compatible) - set up a way to edit the names of consumable items:
  3. Property auctions are pretty rare. I've been on the server for over a year now and I've only seen one happen. I think this is a poor solution to the current problem, when there is already a better solution that has already been implemented, and should just happen again. Real property, anything that's a unique door, has an inherently higher value for most people due to being secluded, and potentially having land to use. Id argue heavily against making a system that favors new characters to have an advantage to buying property. Whoever gets it should get it. If staff want to contribute positively to housing for new players / characters, we need to do another round of apartments being added to the towers, or have an automated system that ads a new apartment number and time one is sold, preventing flipping apartments, while maintaining values of real property
  4. Who is the suggestion for? - Criminals Why is the suggestion being made? - the vast majority of players that end up in DOC either AFK, or grind laundry/litter to generate money while in DOC. using the system to turn in stamps for time reduction is almost entirely ignored, due to how incredibly undervalued it is. the value of turning in stamps for time reduction should be increased What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? - Pro: Less people will see Prison as an afk simulator, as the reward for collecting or stealing stamps to get out faster would now be worth it - Con: ? should be incredibly easy to increase the value Increase the value of stamps for turning them in for a time reduction. No one interacts with the time reduction, due to the value being so incredibly low, compared to the money you get with the stamps. A good starting value I think would be 2 stamps per second of time reduction. thoughts?
  5. bump, back up for sale
  6. the main interest is being able to repair stolen cop cars. just brainstorming ways to make it make sense, without affecting the mechanic factions. by spawned cars, maybe its limited to anything thats spawned as a cruiser from any faction? idk
  7. Who is the suggestion for? - Car Thiefs Why is the suggestion being made? - It doesnt make sense that only the registered owner of a vehicle is allowed to pay for repairs of a vehicle. this system would be a reasonably balanced way to change that. What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? - Pro: lets people repair/maintain cars they don't own - Con: Dev work? There should be a handful of mechanic NPC's placed around the map that can repair any vehicle brought to them. They can be used at any time, on any vehicle, and charge the driver of the vehicle an invoice for the repair. This would be an illegal dealer NPC, so using its services would be considered criminal. The way to balance this is to take the current "base cost" /mechoffer charges for a repair, and multiply that. something like 3x to 5x. making repairs from $1500-$15,000 depending on the vehicle damage. it should also 3x-5x the length of the repair time. also, for the duration of the repair, it would probably be fair for the car alarm to be going off. would there be any downsides to this? would allow people to maintain stolen cars, or if desperate, pay out a big repair cost to repair borrowed cars, or repair their cars if they cant find a mechanic on duty. i think all the negatives would cause this system to not negatively affect the current RP of the mechanic factions.
  8. if you think people shouldnt do crimes, who you gonna RP with as a cop? lol LSPD / LSSD entire existence is reliant on people doing crime
  9. the problem isnt hours in prison takes away from the fun of playing a video game. having to spend hours in prison is a problem cause there's nothing to do. it wouldnt be a complaint if there was interesting and fun things to actively participate in at DOC. the entirety of DOC RP is, you fight other inmates for stamps, or you do laundry for stamps and then people fight you for them. theres nothing interesting about that gameplay loop. the waiting sucks a bit, but you should also be interacting with and talking with the officers to pass time while waiting for charges. if DOC was revamped to have interesting things to do, people wouldnt complain about how long they have to be there.
  10. start it a week early in November, go for two weeks, take a week off, then another two weeks. or just give us the full month like normal.
  11. i mean at this point its just going in circles and I've allready addressed that issue here:
  12. drag: $4 million Niobe: $280 USD that was only available to purchase once for 1 weekend months ago Issi sport: $75 USD only Paragon: $1.9 million Jug: $1.5 million 90% of the player base in no way has millions of dollars of cars or all bitcoin only cars. PD has a equal or better solution to each of those vehicles except the Niobe. there is a counter? just go wait in line for a repair at one of the three mechanic shops if you really need that cruiser and you're the only person on duty that can use one. the lockout would be player based, not faction based. if officer 1 parks their damaged cruiser, only officer 1 cant pull it out again without waiting on the timer. officer 2 can still pull out their cruiser just fine.
  13. the negatives of fixing this far outweigh the benefits. massive -1 being able to prevent some shitter at legion parking from jumping into my car and rummaging through my glovebox cause they're abusing the parking and search system, to then sprint away is a lot better than constant playertheft and nonRP reports.
  14. oh yeah, no i agree with what you said above. that was more just a general comment providing some recent footage for context. i have months of twitch clips and footage of all my chases, where whats happened in the second video is very common. you're 100% right, crims need to develop strategy to evade successfully. just driving fast doesnt work most of the time, you have to be smart. driving fast only works if you're really good at it and you get lucky at the same time. PD has a current strategy of using their cruisers as a batting ram to stop a chase at all costs, including destroying their own vehicle. thats one of the big things that would end up getting discouraged and scriptly punished with this suggestion. forcing cops to wait to respawn a car that got damaged isnt some magic bullet that will make winning a chase easier in every way possible. the point is to allow crims to have other strategies than spending millions on spare cars or resorting to a gunfight. if a cop disables my car, i lose. if i disable a cops car, they're back in seconds ready to keep going with the same car.
  15. 1:48 in, ID 199 is driving a buffalo Cruiser, and gets totaled due to a collision (its not visible in the video cause of a crop, but his vehicle went from orange to red light and was smoking.) 3:21, ID 199 is back in the same cruiser fully repaired. (bad example cause of a reset, but my point is that from 1:48 to 3:06, ID 199 limped his cruiser back to the nearest station, despawned it, and spawned it fresh. in just over 60 seconds, he's got his same vehicle back, fully repaired, and back in the chase) this is specifically what im wanting to prevent with this suggestion. it would be more balanced if he got a different model cruiser and rejoined. 7:05 Murphy restarts the chase with his buffalo, but after taking damage at 7:53, he splits from the chase, and despawns that car to grab a highspeed Jug. totally fine and a very valid choice, and wouldnt not be affected whatsoever by this suggestion. he turned in a damaged cruiser, and got a new different model to rejoin the chase with. thats what should happen. the other thing im hoping that would slowly change if this suggestion gets implemented, is to discourage extremely aggressive ramming from PD that you can see at 8:53. LEO's using their vehicle to aggressively ram their car into yours, using as a weapon, with no regard to their own safety or equipment, shouldn't be the norm, and should be discouraged. punishing LEO for taking risky moves that heavily damage their car should be a thing, but there is currently no cost or downside to it, so many officers use their vehicles as weapons, destroying their car in attempt to destroy yours. ----------------------------- a VAST majority of my POV in this second video is all valid and very effective PIT maneuvers. I've just driven the glendale so much as Billy i know how to compensate. others werent so lucky. 3:18 ID 181 in an unmarked buffalo with no pushbar slammed into the pink Picador so hard they perma stalled themselves. Why are cops using their vehicles as a battering ram? because they have no incentives not to. 4:09 why has a cop so massively crumpled their $400k+ STX using it as a weapon against $2000-$4000 scrap cars? because they have no incentives not to.
  16. Who is the suggestion for? - anyone who uses a vehicle Why is the suggestion being made? - to re-balance vehicles internal storage to make more sense, fix some game balance issues with certain meta vehicles, and give some buffs to other vehicles. What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? - Pros: (will update as people discuss) - Cons: (will update as people discuss) So. Why does every vehicle have the exact same "glovebox" capacity? every vehicle has 6 slots and 10 volume, doesnt matter if you're driving a sports bike or a Minivan. All vehicles currently have some form of variation in trunk size to balance them, why cant we get the same for interior space? The easier solution i could think of would be set the slots and volume based on vehicle class, and then as necessary modify specific vehicles. Motorcycles need a slot reduction and massive volume reduction. explain to me where I can fit a drum mag ak-47 with 200rnds inside a BF400 with room to spare? Supers and sports should likely keep the slot number but have a reduction in volume. Vans, SUV's and Off-Roads would all likely get a slot increase and a large volume increase. obviously this isnt a super fleshed out idea and balancing would need to be figured out and tested, but I think this would be an interesting thing to try out, and ways to nerf meta and high speed vehicles while giving some utility buffs to utility focused vehicles. thoughts?
  17. $10k item, import only (more lore friendly non crim stuff for car gangs to import and sell), sets your car to 300 health, so its just enough to start up and limp to a garage, and unable to be used on a car thats been totaled(0 health with max repair cost). then maybe it would be a fair item to have in the server. anything less than that, i think this is just a bad idea. if you have issues with the now three mechanic shops and how they work, bring up a complaint with the faction leaders, maybe make some suggestions on how you think it could be improved.
  18. exactly why it hasnt and shouldnt be added. the negatives heavily outweigh the positives. altRP requests exist for a reason, for staff to assist if you have enough reason to do this with staff help as a crim.
  19. so if by skill and planning me and a team manage to disable a highspeed jug, either by prepping spikes to pop tires or getting repeated successful pits on it to be damaged, while avoiding damage to ourselves, law enforcement should have the upper hand to instantly despawn and respawn the car at full health to rejoin the chase? when will the crim update be where we can do the same? /s lol its incredibly relevant. if i know a specific officer is quite skilled with a specific vehicle, targeting them while evading to disable their vehicle would have an overall effective impact of the chase. they'd be forced to use a different vehicle to instantly rejoin the chase. Them being able to simply delete and respawn their car with no downsides and rejoin the pursuit isnt fair. If we shoot down a helicopter, why can air-1 just go respawn a new one? this is a really bad argument. if a crims goal should be avoiding PD at all costs, who will PD RP with? this is still a video game at the end of the day... lol
  20. so, this isnt possible for law enforcement to realistically work with. LEO commonly use /delcruiser to delete/dump bulk illegal items seized, especially once a players illegal locker gets full. Detectives regularly have to use /delcruiser to clear-out inventories after getting evidence recorded. so having a blanked timer on just spawning in any car every single time would make a lot of PD work and detective work unnecessarily tedious. the core of the recommendation is, if LEO parks a damaged cruiser, they have a timer to respawn that same model. thats what the suggestion is.
  21. this is exactly why this is being suggested. to put crim at a disadvantage, unable to conceal their body armor. the only way i'd support this is if body armor was drastically reduced in weight, or all vehicle interior storage was rebalanced to be more than "glovebox" and just interior storage space.
  22. pretty simple request, allow the command /time to be used and the output seen when on the RP focus chat filter. would be a nice, simple QOL so that if people need to get RP proof with time, they can do so with the chat filter on, so longer RP isnt interrupted by server chat, OOC, or Weazel.
  23. -1 it should only be visible when its actively equipped. just make an equip timer with an anim, maybe forcing you to stand still for that timer to equip it, along with a /me pink text that shows up over a players head saying they're actively putting armor on.
  24. yep, if PD is going to arrest me for reckless cause i was speeding, take my car away, charge me $11,000 to get it out of impound, and suspend my license for 24 hours. might as well try and get a chase out of it for the fun, rather than just give in immediately.
