  4. unless its a fake ID, a player refuses to show the real one, so now law enforcement hold them till a warrant is signed, which takes about 7 days. gonna be an interesting couple of weeks to see how this plays out. im for it.
  5. Ive had the situation happen in game already. Taking and then checking prints to get a name is not allowed per staff. I submitted a bug report and it was denied that this is an intended game mechanic. The only reasonable outcome, which staff had said to do, is just leave the person in a holding cell in perpetuity as they are refusing to identify and we have no means to identify. The player has effectively bricked their character and will be stuck in holding forever as there is no way to forcefully identify them without breaking rules. If people want to make that decision for their character and play out that RP, I guess go for it.
  6. that is not what i intended or meant for that to be taken as. I have absolutely no issue with players getting some form of reimbursement over a big scene, a big raid, a bad loss, etc. If there isnt anything left for me to go out and find, i dont get to play as a detective. i know that players have had some assets returned/reimbursed after they get their property raided by law enforcement because they handled the loss well in game, and played along, and got recognized by staff, and rewarded for doing so. I think thats a great thing. it lessens the blow, rewards positive responses to an overall negative roleplay scenario for them, and they dont have to start over from scratch which would cause a lot of people to just give up and leave. in no way do i see that as FM running behind LEO's backs to try and nullify our efforts, i think its a very justifiable positive thing for the criminal playerbase. I know i'd be bummed out pretty hard if i was completely wiped out on my crim, and that recognition and support from FM if i got a bump back up would be a big motivator.
  7. Date and time (provide timezone): N/A Game Edition (Legacy/Enhanced/both): Both Character name: N/A Does this issue appear again after a full game restart?: Yes How many times did this issue appear for you?: Since the recent phone update Issue/bug you are reporting: A player created a new character, immediately destroyed their phone, and committed a crime. Because the recent update tied IDs to phones, and new characters don't start in the police fingerprint database, this player successfully erased their IC existence to avoid police processing. Realistically, a citizen's identity exists in government databases (Birth records, immigration, DMV) regardless of whether they own a cell phone. The player is using a script limitation (the removal of /license and the DB relying on the phone) to force a scenario that is physically impossible in roleplay. Arcangel responded to the report for exploiting adamantly defending the exploit as an intended game mechanic. forcing a suspect to go buy a phone to "create" an identity mid-arrest makes zero roleplay sense. Furthermore, the suspect could just RPLy type a fake name into the new phone, rendering the process useless. Expected behavior: a scriptly possible way to identify a player without forceRP / admin assistance. Evidence (MUST provide either UNEDITED photo or video) , notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Vehicle license plate number*:
  8. and how are players supposed to have an ID if they dont have a phone?
  9. dont give up! FM/Meridian will come by and spawn all the stuff back in for you cause you complained and you can go back out and continue playing GTA online with extra steps. I dont know what else to offer than what I just posted, a literal step by step guide on what you can do to avoid being consistently caught by GND. If you're not willing to put in the same amount of effort, why do you expect to never get caught? You're openly not willing to put in the effort to be successful, and will cry to LFM like this post is, to change the rules im allowed to play by to protect your lack of effort and roleplay.
  10. Unfortunately there is just a massive divide between crim factions and law enforcement. We are effectively playing entirely different games. Completely different standards are enforced between FM and LFM, which continues to increase the divide between law enforcement and criminal players. Obviously I'm biased towards LEO/Detective stuff as entirely only play that and have for the past year and a half, and I haven't done any crim stuff since then, so I'm struggling to understand what your goal is with a suggestion like this. What exactly would you want changed in how detective work plays out? My understanding and overall goal of what GND / LEO is supposed to be towards criminal roleplay is, law enforcement generate the risk for the reward of being successful in a crime. Criminal activity has significantly higher rewards for being successful than non criminal activity. That significantly higher reward needs higher risk to balance it. Having organized factions, organized crime increases that reward by a significant margin, so detectives who investigate and pursue organized crime/factions should create even higher risk of being caught. Without the risk of being caught, what's the point of getting the reward? LFM has progressively reduced time and time again different ways were allowed to catch organized crime. It's to the point where most GND would agree that we are heavily restricted in who, where, how, and why we try and catch people. Nearly every incident we initiate we are then questioned by staff how and why we found you and pursued an arrest. GND constantly has to innovate and figure out new ways to work within the ever changing rules and restrictions placed on us by LFM. There has literally been times where rules are changing every few hours, and even LFM can't keep things straight on what's allowed and not allowed. If I'm understanding this correctly, you're asking that if a GND detective is listening on on a gang frequency, and we hear, "were X gang and were cooking drugs at X location right now" that the rules should OOCly prevent us from using in character information to investigate? That seems... Wildly unfair, since criminal players have no restrictions to use that information to their advantage, Lol. Like I said, at this point we're playing completely different games and the divide is only being firced wider by staff. But, humor me for a moment, and look at it from my perspective. 1. Have you considered there could be a detective listening to your frequency at any point, and you should be careful what you say on freq and practice good opsec? 2. If someone has got your gang caught repeatedly, why are they still in your gang when they're such a liability? 3. How many weeks to months did you vette someone before you gave them access to cook with you, or know you're actively cooking drugs at a drug lab? 4. If you're not thoroughly vetting people you recruit, not training them on how to not get caught, why are you trying to change the rules to protect your lack of effort and roleplay? 5. If it's another gang that's getting you caught, why are you openly friendly with them everywhere except at labs? Why is there not an active war? Why are you letting them see you at a drug lab and leaving alive when you know they snitch or compromise your operations? 6. Why do you prance around with a rifle drawn, combat rolling around in the open with body armor in the middle of a drug lab, acting as if you're not being watched, or a care in the world about securing your perimeter? 7. Why is everyone inside the lab all trying to get their piece of the cook to make sure they get their cook done and profit, rather than having roles like, guards, scouts, cooks, then distribute the profits so everyone gets a share of the money? The furthest "organized" factions typically get is just to have another body with a gun for a fight, beyond that, most people are in it for themselves, there's no honor amongst thieves. If a criminal faction actually tried to roleplay effectively, practice smart communication and security, they'd be pretty damn effective. But that typically doesn't happen. Criminal players complain, GND get another Nerf until criminals complain again, yet criminals refuse to try anything different or change their own tactics, you would rather change the rules to protect your lack of effort.
  11. I'd have to disagree. the server needs more money sinks, not less. the economy is wildly inflated with very little reasonable money sinks, and dozens of ways to generate large amounts of raw cash. having upkeep costs for vehicles is pretty reasonable way to sink money in the server.
  12. but, to respond to the original post, we're not getting private labs back, why would they choose to make private laundromats?
  13. the system exists for this, and attempts have been made, but LFM actively shut down any investigation deeper than surface level crime investigation. The server, and its criminal players, are not ready or capable of playing against a more realistic detective division that has the resources to actually investigate tax fraud, Racketeering, etc. LFM lost their minds when i conducted an investigation, proved a suspect had illegally acquired $100,000, and I seized it from his bank account without their overview and approval of the investigation. I have been actively OOCly prevented multiple times for opening case files on gang affiliated legal businesses. OTF owns a business property? i cant touch it. Alliance runs a sketchy pawnshop? OOCly off limits for me to investigate because its ran by a different "legal" faction and cant possibly have any criminal activity occurring at it. waterfelons openly advertising gang recruitment over Weazel ads cause you're in the gang and work there? not allowed to investigate. Empire hosting a large scale auction for illegal firearms? not allowed to interrupt others roleplay. Cartel has been OOCly entirely off limits. Actively shut down by FM preventing GND to investigate cartel members while they're IC. The amount of stuff I know thats happening, have IC proof, have worked dozens of hours on ICly, to be told too bad no you cant act on that, is beyond frustrating. The server and its players are not capable of playing to that level of criminal roleplay, and would immediately crash out and quit if I was allowed to act on and pursue investigations that realistically i would have every right to pursue as a gang detective.

  15. Yeah it's something very insignificant like $500. Bump up the active pay and you'll get a lot more people willing to be on duty and available for calls. The hourly is just for being around. Actually interacting with the job and actively providing a service should be incentivised a lot more than $500 to drop someone off. $8k an hour is the highest possible you can hope to make in legal jobs before tax, which can take up to 35% if you're not VIP. Crim peaks out at 150k~ cooking drugs. Service focused civ jobs should pay out more if they want people to actually show up and do the job in the server. 9/10 law enforcement couldn't care less about the money they make. The reward is the gameplay. Most people are doing mechanic, taxi, weazel for the money. They offer a tangible service to make the game function, and actively doing those jobs should pay out more than just afk salary farming the job. Id bet we would see a lot more active ems if they got paid $5k for every person they stabilize. People would fight over who got to do the upgrades on a car if you earned the labor cost as your income. Taxis would compete to pick up passengers first to get the fare rate to drive someone where they need to go. Weazel advertising would go nuts if you got a commission for every ad you sold to another player.
  16. Random bonuses for just existing in the server as a whole is a dumb idea imho. want more activity at mechanics? pay mechanics commission for each car they repair. want more activity at Taxi's? drivers get a % of the fare charged. want more LSEMS? pay them per person they /cpr or /stabilize People get paid to stand around and do nothing, just being present is good enough to get the same amount as the guy doing all the work. Legal faction pay structure needs to be completely swapped over to paying for active participation. right now its a system of dicing, and if you lose, you have to do the work. people at legal faction jobs should be there wanting to do the work, so actually pay them for the work, dont just pay them for existing and afk salary farming. people fight for who gets to not do the work. that's a clear sign the system is broken, people should fight for who gets to do the work and get paid.
  17. "Criminal roleplayers already have access to unlimited vehicle swaps." Law enforcement vehicles that are available for a swap: Top on road patrol: Buffalo STX pursuit Dominator GTX Interceptor Buffalo STX Cruiser Unmarked Buffalo STX Mid on road patrol: Gauntlet Interceptor Dominator FX interceptor Police Bike Police Hakuchou Sheriff Cruiser Low on road patrol: FIB car Greenwood Cruiser Impaler LX Cruiser Impaler SZ Cruiser Outreach Faction Police Roadcruiser Stainer LE Cruiser Unmarked Cruiser Top offroad patrol: Police Kamacho Police Sandstorm Police Scout Terminus Patrol Unmarked Scout Police BF400 Mid offroad patrol: Caracara Pursuit Police Caracara Sheriff SUV Unmarked caracara Low offroad patrol: FIB SUV Dorado Cruiser Pursuit Only: D10 Pursuit Police Drafter Shinobi Bati 801RR Vigero ZX Banshee GTS Police Jugular S95 Special Purpose: Police Transporter Prison Bus Brickade Mule Recovery Flatbed If we break one or one gets broken by a criminal, we have options to change to. it would be mighty impressive for a LEO to somehow break all 40+ vehicles we have access to and not be able to operate their own vehicle...
  18. TBH i just want the registered owner's name to show up on the mini MDC. that would make the mini MDC perfect.
  19. Law enforcement gear despawns every 6 hours already anyways. with that system already in place, this system would be feasible.
  20. Still a relevant and valid update that should be implemented.
  21. I play GND in SD. We have incredibly strict rules on what we can and can't do, and constantly have LFM breathing down our necks auditing our actions. No cops are allowed to just pull you over and search you randomly outside of the very rare active suppression orders on gangs. We've only had two active suppression orders in the past 6 months. Once on empire in october for a week, and once on OTF in January for a week. 2 people in Empire were pulled out without cause with permission due to the active suppression during that week. 4 people from OTF were pulled out without cause with permission due to active suppression. If you're being pulled out seemingly randomly without cause, take it to SAJB. Make a court case. We need clear probable cause to search you and your vehicle. If your being searched without probable cause, that's OOC corruption and needs to be reported to faction leadership. If you go through the process of a court case, law enforcement are required to explain exactly why you were searched. If they don't have a good reason, you get your money back and they get in trouble. There are entire systems in place for criminal players to interact with if they were unjustly interacted with. But, because it takes effort from the criminal players side, it requires interaction from the criminal players side, and it takes time to go through the process, yall don't care to even try, because the vast majority just care about getting out of DOC as fast as possible to get back to grinding money or go back to pvp, and don't give a shit about being involved in roleplay for entire factions and divisions.
  22. I think it's more of the issue of, a promise was made to the community to increase dev work on the server, and a roadmap with deadlines was put out. Then they put up a sale of credits and cars, cash in on the last of the suckers, and then not follow through with the promises made, and not respond or acknowledge the issue. So yeah, it's a vote with your wallet type thing. Stop spending money supporting the server if you don't support the direction and effort the devs are putting into it. I sure as hell chose to not spend anything over the last winter sale and anything moving forward, as there has been no tangible proof anything has being developed/progressed by the owners. If people who bought more $250 dollar cars are happy with the way the server is going, more power to them. But as we can see, there are quite a few people that are passionate about the server and community, but are fed up with the complete lack of communication or care by the devs.
  23. Official factions have territory they need to manage. they need to get packed cash, chops cars, and cook drugs, sell them to dealers in a territory they own, to maintain a points system of them "owning" that territory. The reward for maintaining territory is you earn import power points, which is spent on ordering drops from cartel of guns, ammo, drug precursors, etc. These territories have a decay rate. if you fail to sell contraband to the dealer in the territory, ownership of it will decay to where you no longer have control of it, and you get less import power to get stuff from cartel. As your gang progresses through the faction tiers, you get an allowance of how many territories you can control before you "overextend" and get higher decay rates. if you own more territory than your faction tier allows for, all of your territory decays at a much higher rate. So, whats the problem with Graffiti / Spray Tags? Tagging your own territory reduces the decay rate of owning that territory. Maxing out your tags, which last 7 days, negates the vast majority of the upkeep required to maintain ownership. Multiple times less amounts of packed cash, drugs, and car parts are required to maintain ownership over a territory. Requiring massively less criminal activity to maintain turf has been an overall negative for the health of the server. Removing the need to actually try maintaining turfs has drastically negatively affected the gameplay loop of criminals. There is a consistent complaint that the city feels empty or that there is "nothing to do." This is entirely self inflicted by the devs. The Graffiti update removed the necessity to commit crimes. Without the pressure to maintain turf, the motivation to chop, cook, or rob vanishes. criminal activity ultimately turns into just a reason to initiate PVP with other criminals or Law enforcement. When I first joined, official factions needed labor. They would work with small, unaffiliated groups who would bring drugs, chop parts, or stolen cash to them in exchange for gear or protection. This created interaction between solo's/unaffiliated groups and established factions. Now, because tags make upkeep so easy, every faction is entirely self-sufficient. They don't need to hire anyone. The "entry-level" criminal has no one to sell their labor to. Currently, there are several smaller factions who have access to powerful imports like SMGs, LMGs, .50s, and Shotguns, who are holding vast swathes of territory that should historically require a much larger, more active roster to maintain. The tag system acts as a massive crutch, allowing factions with noticeably fewer active members to hold the same amount of land as a massive faction. They are securing end-game, high-tier weaponry and selling it out to others with minimal daily activity because the upkeep is trivialized. I understand that some players dislike the "grind" of maintaining turf. They prefer to focus on social RP or PvP. That is fine, but that playstyle should come with the tradeoff of holding less turf and getting less import power. You should not be able to hold a massive turf and import dozens of military grade weapons daily if you aren't willing to run the logistics to do it. TLDR: High tier rewards like cartel imports should require high tier activity, not just spray paint. If we want to solve the complaint that 'there is nothing to do,' we need to stop letting a passive mechanic replace the active gameplay loop. The decay reduction from tags needs to be significantly nerfed so that holding territory once again requires active, consistent criminal activity to earn import power. Total self reliance for large scale turf maintenance should be nearly impossible. it should necessitate outside help from non affiliated small criminal groups, or at the very least, be a feat reserved for only the most active factions. Bringing back the struggle to maintain turf is necessary to give criminals a purpose beyond just shooting at each other.

    AP bug

he's talking about the green line of the body armor in the clothing slot, not the bottom left icon. that green line is bugged, saying the armor is a 200AP, when the icon under the minimap shows correctly its a 100AP armor. also, cops dont have 200AP.
  25. still a viable solution to the current crim v crim drive-by meta.
