All about the store robberies, bank robberies, shop lifting, vandalism and money truck suggestions! Love me some variety. I don't enjoy store robberies as an LEO, it's always just the same three that are far away and almost never yield fun RP. Having higher payouts, more subsequent "investigations" and greater chance to catch a robbery in progress seem like a more engaging experience 🙂

After finally reading through everything, huge + 1 from me. DOC changes would be chef's kiss,  and just more support for criminal faction that don't just want to be a heavy handed tyrant on the city that rules by violence and what not all the time. I spend far too much time in DOC, having more to do would make things 10x more fun for me and my gang who's bread and butter is interacting with LEO's and inevitably getting arrested.

Most of this shit is a major W - always love Bala and his thoughts on how to make this server better - would love to see 95% of this implemented!! see you in GTA6 🫡

This will be the only comment regarding behavior on this thread;

If you fail to keep comments civil, attempt to derail this thread into a discussion about "sides" on the server, or make one-off irrelevant and argumentative comments, forum mutes/bans and/or admin punishments will follow. This thread is not meant for that, and there will be low/zero tolerance on negativity here.

I'll be honest, if people are picking "sides", then they either didn't read the original post or they didn't understand it.

It's already a massive task getting the developers to recognize this thread and do some of the things on it, without people turning it into shit show and getting it locked. Crim is not doing well, and as a result, cop isn't doing well either. If improving one area, also improves another then that's a big W for the server.

But what we need right now more than anything is positive energy around this.

After checking leaderboards tonight either crims aren't logging in or there is very few people doing any crim that can be tracked. Its sad seeing only a few people doing actual crim grind and 90% of the people out only there out to rob. Crim needs revitalizing cause its very stale and me and several other crims are retiring till further notice.

This just isn't true. There is still a large, thriving crim base on this server. ESM, OTF, Empire, 14k, Waterfelons, Rooks, Lost MC, Shadows, Souls, The Firm, Off-Grid... All very active crim factions. I can't speak to other factions, but I can tell you that my faction does actual crim grind both solo and as a group.

I understand that we all want a change, but let's not be over-dramatic. Crim isn't dead, it just needs some big changes to push it away from the current meta of shoot and loot. The new xp update did a lot, and the leaderboard is quite active.

While I'm sure there are still reasons to be positive, the absolute worst thing we can do is inhale the copium and try and kid ourselves that what is going on, or rather not going on, is acceptable anymore because that's how we go another six months without any sort of direction or positive movement on the crim side of things.

Those factions you mentioned @SteakHappy are somewhat doing well despite the environment they are in, not necessarily because of it. Imagine how well they could be doing if things improved?

I don't know if the recent changes have really addressed anything substantially, to me it just seems like the same stale content has now been made into a grind. Maybe I'm being harsh with that and I'm wrong, I don't know and maybe i'll be corrected but I think we're all a bit sick of the same old same, no?

While we've still got plenty of players, is the time to do something. Not wait and see how rough things can get, by then it's a bit too late.

I agree with this, I am part of one of those factions mentioned and yes, we might still be active, but it's as you say dispite and not because of it, alot of us "active" factions have lost members and motivation and those of us active daily are so in trying to keep our factions alive, as higher ups in a faction we have to stay active and motivated to encourage our members to be more active or get new recruits as well, as alot of the crim side players have become discouraged, even left and your suggestions are going to be a breath of fresh air to crim and LEO alike it is as you are saying while we have a player count is the time to act prevention is better then cure

Vehicles

  • Add the Vehicle Exporter, where you have to steal a specific civilian car and deliver it.
  • Add the ability to share a GPS marker with another player.
  • Reduce the Speed Cap on Vehicles to 230.
  • Make the Impound Semi-Automated so you can get your car(s) if no one shows up within 10 minutes.
  • Add some health to permastalled impounded vehicles upon repair.
  • Add a Pay N Spray option for people to repair vehicles they do not own for a premium price.

I definitely don't agree that cars should have their top speed reduced, quite the opposite. All Supercars should have their top speed increased to 280-300 mph. Because for now they all go the same way. Both sports cars and supercars, and it doesn't seem logical to spend 25-40 million on a car that doesn't go faster than 10F.  This is not about credit car or meta. It's about Nero or THRAX going as fast as CometS or 10F

I genuinely cannot tell if you're memeing or not. If you are, get outta here with that.

This thread is about balancing and re-adjusting crim to work for the server, not making the gap wider.

i like a lot of this, was a big read, The only thing i didn't like was

  • Reduce the Speed Cap on Vehicles to 230.

i'm not sure what this would change in regard to RP. 

If even some of these ideas could be implemented my gosh it would be soo good for the server! thanks for taking the time an effort to reach out and develop this topic

I really can't figure out if you're trying to ruin this server even more with your ideas or not. There are many good ideas, but this is just a stupid idea to reduce the TOP speed. Those cars are already going as slow as snails. You calling them fo Supercars? It seems like this is some kind of joke.

I'll just explain this once, because I don't want the thread to be overtaken by this nonsense.

Banshee, Itali, Niobe, Issi Sport, Paragon S etc.. the cars that can go 240 with ease, those are not super cars. They are sports vehicles. That is their designation by Rockstar.

The Supers are valuable for their looks and their rarity in the server, not their performance for the most part, because their performance isn't anything to shout about.

The reason for wanting to lower the speed cap has absolutely nothing to do with super cars, it's to do with the meta vehicles.

In fact, by narrowing the gap between the meta vehicles and the super cars by 10 km/h, you are marginally increasing the usability of the supers that actually do go 215-220.

As for what @Smoke1 said, it makes no difference to the RP but people aren't driving the meta vehicles that go 240 for RP, they're driving them to give themselves a (significant) competitive edge. It's like you have two guns, one has a much higher fire rate than the other but they both cause the same damage per hit. Which gun are you picking? You're picking the one that has the higher fire rate.

I don't really want to see PD driving meta vehicles if I'm honest, but at this point, it's either we get one or the speed cap has to come down some to at least bridge some of the gap.

Just a different take on this suggestion. Risk v. Reward should not be based on how close it is to a police station, but how active the store is.  no one drives out to palomino to buy stuff from it, so it would have less money to steal. the more active, popular stores that sell more would be the ones with more money to steal. higher traffic, more well known as a target for both crim and Leo, makes more logical sense than just vicinity to a police station.

You're actually joking right? Have you been playing PD lately, because everyone is in a supercar, a niobi, itali gto or La carouse and none of them can be caught or even remotely kept up with in Buffalos and a Jug lmfao...
