I've recently basically quit crim due to just how boring it is. Before giving solutions you need to know the problem and be aware of them. The first thing I want to be clear about, and I feel like people are just looking away from it.. CRIMS MAKE THE SERVERS WORLD TURN. WITHOUT CRIMS COPS HAVE NOTHING TO DO, WITHOUT CRIMS, CIVS JUST STAND THERE AND DO NOTHING AT BENNYS. Problem 1. Holy content problems. The last major criminal update we've had was... does anyone remember?? The racing script. (Other than small bug fixes) - and we all know how that is. We get some updates but they are untested and then left there to rot away. I know at this point the focus is on FiveM, which is fine, but something needs to change. Our "civilian updates" are great until you realize they get played with for a week then thrown away because you realize you need 40 hours of grinding to make a simple profit. This goes back to even archaeology. Solution: I hate to say it.. but if it aint broke dont fix it. There are thousands of servers on FiveM that do incredible roleplay, and the biggest thing is the amount of stuff for people to do. Theres a few servers that literally OFFER content that can be purchased and re-used. For example, Prodigy. They have a package that is I believe around $1,000 that has a bunch of shit that can be immediately added into Eclipse and make things amazing. (Would need to ask Bongo Haze, he knows more about that.) But purchasable content like that is SO EASY to obtain, the top 3 donators have bought that 10 times over the last month. I'm not saying steal ideas, but realistically its very hard to make new things work. The game has been out for 14 years, everything has been done. Don't reinvent the wheel. Problem 2. Mentality. Everyone wants to win, you don't play games to lose, we all understand that. But the constant min-maxxing is just horrid. Doing the rat strats, having to be the best person around, have the best shooters, etc.. even the people who hack to gain an advantage.. its just cringe as shit and both crim and leo are guilty of it. Then when you do win a fight or whatever, you have people from both sides standing over your body saying you're so shit youre ass get off the game like its a fucking Modern Warfare 2 lobby. Toxic and cringe to care that much. Solution: This is going to be a hard pill to swallow, but hold gangs AND factions accountable for people who do that. If you got people constantly chatting shit ( let me put this straight... there is a right way to talk shit.. ) in a demoralizing way to make people leave the server, have the gangs be accountable. Just remember though, this is an 18+ server, so there will be shit talking. But the amount of times I've been killed and immediately told "You're so shit find something else to do retard" - that shit doesn't get to me, but I know multiple people who have quit because of shit said like that and worse. It's why Eclipse is so poorly known to some other servers. People need to learn to win with grace. Note: FM has been doing small things to help this, I've seen it brought up, but it needs to extend to both sides. I wont specify names of people but I've had very high up people in PD sit there and down someone with their 150AP and Special Carbine Mk2 vs a pistol .50 and talk shit... like come on.. Problem 3: Consistency I'll be blunt, there is none. You implement shit once, we give problems, it gets told "this will be done" and its immediately thrown aside for the next best thing! This also flows through to the staff team. And I think this is where people are scared to step up and speak, but the staff team, to be honest with you, is VERY mid. Currently you have VERY few staff in the criminal world. The main ones I see that play crim consistently, starting from the top, is LightningBolt9 (Vlad), Cup (Luna/Leif), CarlVespucci (do I need to name him..?) .. and I think thats all I can name off the top of my head... I guess Lewis does count now, but I'm talkin about people who have been with the crim community for years. That leaves the other 95% of the staff team as civilians and LEO mains. So when criminals have reports against LEOs, only those few people can take these reports, otherwise it is COI. Oh wait, they cant take it either because its most likely Rooks or OTF reporting since theyre one of the only two consistently active gangs. That then brings you to be forced to do the IC time, sit in jail for multiple hours most likely writing the report, just for it to sit on forums for weeks where you just dont care anymore, for a mod/admin to take the report, the other side to belittle you in a forum report (this goes for all sides by the way this is not targeted at LEOs) for a conclusion that is dependent on the person taking the report. Solution: The Staff team needs a wipe of inactive people. People that are in there and not removed because "they've been here for a long time!" In the real world if you don't perform, you get fired. Now I know, its a game, but maybe create a rank for ex-admins who dont do things in game or forums, to be an "advisor" for staff. Help make decisions, give feedback on how people are doing, and be support for newer staff that might have questions. And while youre on that note, add more spots for criminal mains. Personally, I tried going back to staff. Every time the support staff is open, I toss in a reinstatement, cause surprisingly I still care about a server that doesn't give a shit about me as a person. I'm denied because I got banned for a stupid situation 2 years ago, and a bad history of crashing out, but have been clean since. That isnt enough. Sorry Collie but I'm using you as an example - you were banned multiple times if im not mistaken, and look! You changed, youre an admin, a civilian faction leader, they just dont want another one of you around it seems... Last part of this before I inevitably add more later on, I love this idea of the thread, sadly this should have been made in 2023. I hope eclipse on FiveM works, because I dont know if I'll go to another server. The ONLY THING keeping me here, is the people. And cause I have grinded so much shit and just dont want to part with the time and effort i've put into playing here.. But realistically, please bring up one main thing. BEFORE we go to FiveM: For the love of god, market the server. Go to other rage servers that arent transferring and try to merge them in seamlessly. Go to FiveM servers and see what works the best, and try to replicate that here. We have Claude now, we should be having quarterly content drops like EchoRP has. I would rather a major update every 3 months to keep people engaged than a random update every 6 months that gets played with for 2 weeks then left for new players.

This post will probably not even be read with all of these long posts... EVERYONE is burnt out. Nothing new, rinse and repeat, same people every day. Cops have nothing to do other than wait for a pursuit of a 240 car, cause EVERYONE has a win mentality so crims use the fastest cars they can as well, so any small situation you are gonna have everyone there. More variety of things criminals can do would work wonders because that gives cops more stuff to do as well. Only real changes that can and should be made: -Go back to realistic fear for life. If you are one of the last LEOs alive, instead of saying "fuck it ima take who i can" just leave. And then from the criminal side, don't chase people who decide to choose life. Then from there we can lower the "suppression" shit, because from there you make it simple. Groups who let the people leave don't get suppressed, those who chase down and try to kill everyone get the suppression treatment. -The fleet was alright, i think for supercars n things like that its great, but normal GOB cruisers it just becomes a super pain. Changes should be made to that because the same issues still happen, just makes people do work on the backend. -Helicopters are a very good thing to have in the server. Regardless of what people think. I agree, gunships sometimes are overutilized. Standard helicopters have been a thing and will always be one. Shooting out of the side should only be for pre-determined situations, or for crims that decide to hold a 1 way ladder for the sake of win mentality. Its not a guaranteed win especially with the new FM rules that have been put in place. But having a pilot land and go roof to roof with a sniper, yeah that shouldn't happen. -I made this thread with Demonit at one point.. Charges right now are still the same as they were in 2020(don't quote me, could be later, but its been years) I made it a thought, penal code should reduce all charges by 50%, if not more. The fact every single situation puts you in DOC for 3 hours is just, yeah not good. There was a scene today, one person had a pump shotgun, suppressor, and was cooking. Max sentence. I couldn't knock off charges if I could. The 3 hour sentence cap wouldnt be a huge deal if you actually had to do a bunch of shit to get to that point. I believe a 1 hour/1 hour 30 minute timeframe would work very well. Its not to "streamer server" levels, but honestly I wouldnt even be mad if we got less time and more fines. Since this is such an asset based server, make the money a problem, then people will think more about doing a bunch more shit. Those were my few things, theres definitely more to add but - just for one response, I think there should be a limit to how many units are on at a certain time. How that would be implemented, I'm not sure.. one unit per 5 players wouldnt be the worst thing but how do you really keep that for like PD/SD events, etc. Theres gray area.

Simple - if it happens report it, tazing through a windshield is unrealistic and a play to win mentality. Opening the window and tazing out of the window is a different story but with a moving car shouldnt happen regardless. I always disliked the desync "my windshield is broken" - should just be nothing out the windshield regardless - although argument COULD be made of reaching out and tazing over the mirror forward, that absolutely is valid up close.

keep /license!! +1 or an alternative - make the ID a Physical item locked to your inventory (wont disappear if you die) where you can right click and view if you’re an LEO. Place it in a spot near clothing if you purchase a fake ID, you can show them the fake ID but it would be an item you can lose, so would not be locked. I’d still have to see what this fake ID system is like since I haven’t seen it, just heard and seen pics of it

Bring back the old script alongside the new one, more of an official script for those who are newer and want more of a crisp experience, and let Tequilala be the old run down people do whatever they want kinda deal - keep it as a spot where people cant get robbed. Add an ATM inside and boom. We beg please

I stopped paying for VIP for close to a year now(minus when we had the war), could be less, but for someone who used to be diamond VIP for a few years straight, I found it as a huge slap in the face to see all of the lovely things that are brought to attention of devs/staff just to see NOTHING get done. Sure you re-scripted levels into a few jobs that BOOMED for 2 weeks but now have less than 2-3 people that do them consistently on a daily basis. Instead of focusing on how people can pay more money for a better experience, why not find a way EVERYONE to have a better experience. Because right now, if youre a crim and you dont have VIP, you spend most of your time in DOC AFKing. If you spend $50/month you can basically buy your time which is ridiculous. For a server that used to be about RP and community, the last few years its turned into nothing but asset farming and pay2win shit in the credit store. And yeah, dont get me started on $250 for the best cars in the game.. THAT was what really accelerated the death of the casual player and made this a money hungry server. Set up another community meeting to go over what we should focus on first! I'm sure it'll be well received and actually get something to change! Bring on new devs, constantly bring out new clothing - Bala streams his clothing that he makes, just constantly rotate things in and out every month so there is new things, finish up some of these loose end deals instead of juggling 50 things at once. Then when everything is all good for the major ticket items, you can start looking forward on hey this this and this are the next things were working on, do them one at a time and knock them down. Common Pazz W +1

+1 - every gang that is able to order should have a skin that they attatch to their weapons (changed by leadership in F4 - fall under the same tab that you can edit the gang info, not sure the name) for each weapon. That or admins can set a skin for every org (Rooks for example would probably just be black, but can probably find some cool skin) sad this isn’t a thing yet I feel like this would be so simple - look at LEO /FL menus and those guns come sometimes with camos on them - I’m sure parts of that can be imported over to that script
-
I don’t have to have people log orders? Sign me tf up. +1

Fix the s95 and other cars having the same issue
DoubleA replied to Tylerwalk's topic in Game Suggestions
PLEASE fix this... i hate taking a brand new car out of my apartment and having it end up being a mini cooper. Should make this a bug report too tbh get more eyes on it -
+1 to it all! There is no reason NOT to have most all of these other than the leaderboard
-
Having tabbed out was actually really nice to have because you knew when someone wasn’t present, make it toggleable like you used to be able to for those who don’t want to see it! +1 for Harley!
-
+1 - the change was unnecessary to begin with and I think a lot of people echo that, but since we have gone this far down the rabbit role, the info that was given and the way it was relayed to all players was incorrect, instead of just letting it go, should do something that POSITIVELY effects the community and helps keep people here instead of letting the players down! Great thread Mr. Dox!!!

Desperate need of staff taking in game reports.
DoubleA replied to Larentki's topic in Game Suggestions
Solution: All rulebreaker reports go to forums! Think about it, is your .50 really worth writing up an entire report? No? alright lets move on with our day! In game reports should be for questions, glitch reports, and general bug issues. Everyone immediately does /report 4 I WAS DMD!!! Then its "sorry no footage" after someone takes time out of their day! Obviously in some aspects things CAN be handled in game, but my belief is that DM/MG/NRP/Cheating reports should all go to forums. Bigger things like a mass DM happening, a dude thats sitting there screaming the N word at people drunk off their ass, absolutely that can and should be handled immediately. -
The REAL reason ECRP is in it's current state. (Opinion Piece)
DoubleA replied to Marksy's topic in Forum Suggestions
@Marksy might be the goat, not sure, but might be… a lot of those points are super correct, and I think that from someone who mained PD for years, then mained crim for years, then have gone to more of a 50/50, LEO RP is very fun because you can go into most any situation and just enjoy it, take things off of people, not lose anything, getting money in the meantime that I never use on anything but the casino or a house I never use. the culture of the server when it comes to MOST(not all) LEOs is log in at the station, clock on, patrol, clock off, log off in the locker room. That’s a problem in itself as well. while on the crim side, things are just sooo stale. Here’s what happens in the minds of criminals these days: •Log on // check freqs // get a kit // roll labs // fight // get 3rd partied by cops(whether at the fight or later) // go to DOC for 3 hours because basically every situation ends in 3 hours now // AFK the time // get out // repeat. but I don’t want to do that! Okay… •Log on // there’s an event! // go to it // /anim dance2 for 2 hours while scrolling your phone the entire time there’s a large inbalance of money distribution - why is it I cook for 20 minutes and make 45k, after materials it’s probably more around 25-30k, or I can rob a damn bank, and get 30k per person… what?? How does that make sense… alright fine maybe I’ll go chop with my friends. Damn I made 6k for a car that took me 10 minutes! I hope you don’t get removed and I hope you stay! Even for one of the oldest factions in the server it’s sooo difficult to motivate people, especially when all of us have done everything there is to offer in the server for years. big ups brother, will 100% miss you if you do go -
the issue with this is when you take a hostage from your own gang... that people know are a part of your gang, then complain "how did you know" I got a NRP for taking Harley as a hostage as a last resort, I just think those should be dished out more to people who do that kinda stuff. Realistically the server is small, its the same people that make/comment on posts, the same people you see on a daily basis, there is not a lot of parody that you see. Recently someone did a bank with someone we know as a member because we just arrested them together last week, and they complained how did you know and reported.
-
Or how about the whole "we have a hostage" just to pull more packs then sprint out and ignore 20 guns pointed at them?? I think that banks aren't that great, they're very much repetitive and the same stuff happens in them. I feel it would be so much better to script in some other entrances, other bank interiors, something that looks new, because these are all the same and still stale. Like you said, especially hostage RP. Even with our most recent war, there really never is a reason to take someone hostage, it's just "were gonna take you as a hostage" and you bring them there, everybody but one person gets away, and we all live happily ever after
-
Or just try to figure out a spot like what the pier was, make fishing insanely good, people will go back to pier and fish, and boom hotspot
-
Biiiig +1 - or make the DOC/PD/SD lockers a bell to ring, and if they don’t show up within X amount of time, then you can pull it out yourself

Hello! Im hoping to spark this into a topic that inspires POSITIVE CHANGE, not negatives of "this is wrong - this is wrong" etc etc.... It is clear there are problems that needs to be addressed. CURRENTLY: we are at peak times. When the server should have the most amount of players, upwards of 225-250, the most RP happens, the events happen, etc etc. At 9PM UTC the peak is currently at 150. So, I've asked a few people what they think needs to be addressed, and thought maybe turning a suggestion in and getting others to voice their concerns, might be able to poke at Developers to start targeting certain areas to bring people back in and active. 1. The biggest thing that EVERYONE I've talked to has in common. Dev work is non-existent. We have very few Devs, and usually their focus is NOT on the crim side. -You look at other servers, and I know we aren't supposed to compare or "promote" other servers, which I wont, but a certain server that everyone is currently on has MONTHLY updates to keep things new, make new additions, etc. The newest things that have been added over the last 6 months OF VALUE: .....U menu... Levels of different things... new banks, new labs... a HSW update tease that nobody wants.. -One player was recently banned and after several months, they were so excited to return, just to see that barely anything had been done and realized things were still boring. That is why most players have moved over to FiveM servers. When it comes to ECRP, there really is no competition that its the best Rage server out there. some may argue GTAW cause thats the OG, but personally I still think this server has more promise. -Another player plays SD mainly, but also has a crim they've been playing more. Their thoughts are "Criminals have barely anything to do. Chop cars for no profit, hit a bank, get 30k from said bank, but normally have PD/SD camping said banks because THEY have nothing to do, or go to labs and fight 24/7, which now is mostly cheaters." So from that standpoint, everything is stale! Devs need to figure out that developing CRIMINAL activities is the jumpstarter that will give LEOs things to do, which then gives DOC more activity, and its a domino effect. 2. The toxicity of the server -Most people I asked complained that the server itself, has just gotten so toxic, and staff are not only letting it happen, but some of them are the problems themselves. What do I mean by this? Think back to the last time you had a situation where the other party ACTUALLY wanted to roleplay. It kind of baffles me with a lot of these changes, it takes away from the ability to do /me and /do, and its just forcing stuff on other players when realistically it should be a dance between two or more people. -Most people have lowered their standards SO LOW that the server is barely recognizable. People lower their standards because others that have joined are not held to a standard as much any more. The issue is, EVERYONE complains about it, but nobody changes and leads by example. Im just gonna stop there so its not a novel, and I want others to bring up issues - but also offer solutions. Because we all know there is a problem.. the next step is to fix it together and try to lift things up. For crim - FM has stated we need to not rely on script to provide RP, but lets be honest we are VERY limited in our options on that route. So, please lets not make this a complete bitch fest but make some constructive ideas to assist. If we just let it go, this is going to turn into another NGG situation where the server will close its doors, and 20 copycat servers will show up and split our playerbase. So, floor is open! SIDE NOTE: None of this is meant to be slandering the server, so don't take it as such, and dont make this an opportunity to singling specific people out. That isnt what this is meant for, so do it elsewhere if thats what you want.

It’s a bunch of people with differing opinions from different backgrounds who all think they have the best opinion, of course it’s gonna get spicy.. I’m in agreement with most everything you’ve said Bala - I think the end of the day, the focus should be more things for civ/crim RP. By straight up cause and effect, LEOs will have more to do. I don’t like the speed cap personally, I wasn’t a fan when the speed cap went to 240, but we always get used to it. All that does is remove a 10 KPH gap which, relatively is minor, but that would make the “240 meta” less of a thing. I’m all for having pursuits be more skill than equipment, but I also think that goes both ways, PD/SD shouldn’t need to grab a Jug for everything because the other cruisers can’t keep up. Maybe raise the performance of some of the older shitty cruisers for PD/SD so it’s not everyone in one vehicle. I remember the crown Vic and interceptor were the top cars in PD, then Bala would whip the OG Buffalo and never catch a single person. The Devs obviously see these threads, it’s probably not a good look that the changes we want are ripped apart tooth n nail, why would they want to implement things that tear the community? (Not everything obviously, but some of the more controversial points made) can’t make everyone happy!!!

Let me preface this entire thing with saying I mean all due respect with this.... and like Ricky Bobby I mean alll due respect.... you good bro? you getting your numbers out of a cereal box or somethin? How do you get roughly 200 people? You mean roughly 200 people that log in on a single day? check the discord user count then you can get an accurate scale of numbers. Yes not all people in the discord play but youre more talking 50 out of 1000, and even that is incorrect and short. Sadly what LB9 is saying is correct. There isnt any sort of "super" anymore because all of them are now available in the credit store. So at this point why even lock it? I think the biggest issue is how MUCH these cars are... when you can buy a car in a video game for the same price as a car you can get IRL... (yes there are old shitty cars you can buy for 500-1000, i bought my irl car for $600.. Then yeah theres a bit of a problem! You realize how much of an asshole you sound like saying this right? Its a suggestion, say -1 and get on with it, no need to be a dick to people who are putting their time to making the server better. I dont like reading your stuff because you make no sense and act like because youve been in the server for years and bought cars you know whats right.. sorry but -1 to your response, once again big plus 1 to Mr LB9.
