  1. ICly of course I'm not going to TRY and get caught but the nature of the beast is you will be at some point no matter what strategy you deploy that's not a rule break. I'm not suggesting people should wanna get caught but that not everyone that plays crim wants to completely avoid cops while doing criminal activities. Thats where the fun is for some people.
  2. I don't think it's abusing to evade 20 times in a day. They are active, being a criminal in the server. That's 20 times cops have something to do from one individual. If certain cops don't want to be involved in 20 pursuits a day, well that's a good reason to stop having every unit in a pursuit now. If he's getting caught that many time's its clear not everyone is needed for the pursuit Realistically that person is getting caught alot, which means they are being fined every time. Their cars are getting impounded every time, and eventually that person turns into our good friend ottis walton and i personally love chasing ottis. Its never a toxic out come. He's usually driving local cars so its never the "hold W to escape car" Even still he gives us a good pursuit where sometimes he does manage to lose us. In return Ottis doesn't always have air on him and 20 cops in the pursuit line. Where I would agree on the abuse part is say the clappers in our server getting out every twenty minutes just to go find someone else to shoot/kill/rob for very little to no reason, among other things of this nature. This is why adjusting the time of charges would be a good idea. As Ace stated, shooting at a cop from a car alone gets you 135 minutes in prison. That's a bit excessive but not a bad start. First charges need to stop being balanced around having VIP or not. I personally think they should just take that aspect out of VIP and then balance them out appropriately with the goal in mind to encourage more RP and gauging of situations better before resulting to the things people complain and report about all the time. Ultimately what you're suggesting is that criminals either don't be criminals or they play all the same with the goal in mind to never get caught. As toxic as the scene is between crim and LEO is sometimes, some of us crims do enjoy the interactions with LEO and do things to have that interaction and not just farm assets. Again I see no reason to punish a criminal in what feels like an OOC manner, for them roleplaying a criminal IC.. I hope changes to DOC fix that feeling that a lot of people have but if not, I think bringing about changes of this nature would see a decent change in some other problems the server has.
  3. As someone who plays in DOC, SD, and a Crim ontop of having a lifer in prison. I can generally say, being in DOC just sucks right now. Yes creativity does work in giving you something to do in DOC but even that is limited. Prison break requires perms, and is limited due to a timer being put on it. DOC has taken extreme measures to make sure that crims can't do much of anything with any of the environment around them, (obviously its a maximum security prison so of course they would.) There's also the fact that guards are there to roleplay guards and do their jobs. I as a guard try to let crims get away with the random fighting and nonsense they get up to while they are in there by either turning my back or being hyper focused on doing my paperwork, not responding to the scripted sounds of fighting when I realistically wouldn't be able to hear them among other things. If I'm given no choice, I have to respond to it and roleplay the role I chose to play and go "ruin" the criminals fun. Not saying its a bad thing a guard has to do their job. I think when it comes to this point criminals need to maybe lean into prison roleplay more. Stop trying to fight in front of guards or snitching to guards as I will purposefully make the snitch known so people can play into this more. Be more creative in attacks against someone instead of trying to be big boss thug that "no one should mess with". The whole point though is that this is another thing that severely limits crims from doing things they want to do in prison. Speaking of, the reason the only thing crims want to do in prison is fight cause well, its the only thing in prison to really do outside of watching t.v. that interacts with your fellow inmates. Sure you can sit around and chat with your buds if they are in prison with you, maybe do some group yoga or go roleplay lifting weights together, there's "a lot" to do in that regard. These are also all things you can easily do outside of prison as well. However, Fighting other crims is the "easy" and more fun way to make stamps versus doing the mind numbing mini game of picking up litter and washing laundry, and we know a lot of crims play in an asset farming nature. I bring all this up to say, unless the DOC update brings some major changes that makes being in DOC not a mind numbing task of farming stamps to either get out quicker, or try to make your money back from fines while in there, It would stop a lot of the toxicity that happens between LEO and crim players to lower times and fines in DOC. The server wants to create a balance between realism and game, but I think its shown long enough that we prefer a bit more game then realism. The less time crims have to spend in DOC being bored out of their minds, the more they can be in the general world as rob said. The more crims are in the general world, the less times cops spend driving around bored out of their mind fiending for some kind of action which causes them to do things that really annoy crims. As for the DOC guards, this means the less crims we have to deal with that are pissed off about being in DOC for 3 hours cause they got caught going a little to fast with their tarkov kits on them and now they sit in prison crashing out and breaking rules or as some have stated above leaving the server for the day or days. Its not a complete solution to the major mentality problem the server has but I think its an easier band-aid to slap over it while we work on changing the mentality. I never understood the point of wanting to punish criminals to the severe level that we do for just being criminals. Without criminals there's no need for cops or DOC, so maybe lighten up a little bit.
  4. As someone kind of in the same boat, I understand where you're coming from. I would like a chance to refund some of these credit cars as I also would not have gotten them if I knew I had to spend 360k to upgrade a sultan RS, much less the millions some of these other cars cost that I never bothered with. However it is just much better for the server in the long haul as a lot of the cars this really affects were only ever purchased because of their performance, not just cause people liked the cars themselves. I don't think you're asking too much to just be able to refund the cars you're not going to use as it wouldn't cost the server anything. There's already an option to refund a credit car within 1 day of getting it. I know that option also gives the money back on mods you spent on the car but if I'm reading correctly I don't think you or anyone is asking for that, just the ability to refund the cars you simply won't/can't do anything with anymore due to changes you didn't really have a say in.
  5. Was gonna make a big long reply but I think for those that do know me know how much I + 1 most of this. As someone who has spoken their mind and been silenced or ignored, or felt the consequences for "not using the correct avenues", thank you for saying it to the world. I will however say I do see a lot of changes being made, and a lot of problems being addressed day by day. It may be a little too late but concerns are actually being dealt with now to some extent.
  6. While I can see some people not wanting this cause it gets rid of the /me's and /do's aspect of medical rp, I +1 this. You can still do /me and /do rp with this after or before the minigame if you so choose to, it just now gets rid of another problem within the server imo.
  7. This one is simple, give people the option to act as the cashiers, tattoo artists, barbers, etc... in the many stores around the city. This gives them a chance to do civilian rp, and make a small percentage of money from the sells in these stores. Require a certain amount of RP to be done so that they can receive their salary and percentage of the sells. Don't take away from the money given to the business when something is bought from grocery stores, car dealerships, and gun stores, just give a percentage of the sale made to the person manning the store that would be reasonable. Players could simply go to these places and type in a command that would allow them to join these businesses or through a menu like trucking. You can quit the job at any time as well. People manning the stores that are robbable can now be part of the robbery and used as a hostage, but not robbed themselves. If a player is within the store when a robbery is taken place, they will be offered a chance to hit the alarm and be taken hostage. This will now give criminals and cops a chance for store robberies to have interactions over everyone being gone as soon as the store robbery ends. I argue that this shouldn't give DM rights out right to people robbing the store to again promote more interaction. (if you go into a store that has a player in it you know what you're getting into.) In turn criminals have a chance to make more money in these robbable stores if they manage to get away from the hostage situation with the money. I reckon we could even allow this at banks to allow for better hostage situations that would make sense if criminals choose to go that route if people want to work at the banks. I feel like this will add a lot of civilian RP to the server for those that enjoy it. I for one would gladly make a character solely to be a tattoo artist if this would be implemented.
  8. There's a lot of people who just enjoy evading as criminals. There's a lot of cops who really enjoy chasing people. This is a simple way to get more of that activity naturally. Spawn certain tiers of cars around the map that can be found. When found a criminal will get a text that said car is hot, and to be delivered to a certain location or used for a certain thing. This could even be RP'd as random bait cars that spawn around the map that criminals can steal and deliver to the "cartel" for money and criminal experience. I suggest there be certain tiers of cars and the tier of car being stolen determines the tier of cars cops can pull out to chase this car. The car can be pinged like ATM's (although i recommend real time tracking as its near impossible to catch up to anything with the atm ping system that is able to go a decent speed unless they mess up.). This will give cops an opportunity to drive some of the different cars given to them but serve no purpose cause they can't keep up with meta cars. The way you know which tier to use is that the 911 call made will be from a npc cop that was scouting the car notifying cops that a tier x color, model, LP: of car has just been stolen and speeding away, tracker has been activated. The car's GPS is then locked into place for a certain amount of time and once finished, the GPS can be taken out. Until then cops can see the car on the map as they would other cruisers. (make it a different color so its not too confusing). Once the GPS is able to be taken out, the car can be delivered to a location that will be pinged on the drivers map, and its now up to them to get it there. I feel this will be a breath of fresh air to so many people like i think Ottis Walton who just gets on, steals a scrap car and evades for the fun of it. This is now a more natural way to do this, while maintaining the type of fun he has. It will create more RP for cops as they now have a legit reason to chase someone over them just baiting a pursuit for no reason.
  9. It's very obvious that there are a lot of players on ECRP that enjoy the pvp aspect of the server. I don't inherently think there's something wrong with that. Unfortunately due to the server being advertised as a serious roleplay/realism server, seeing a lot of PVP all the time causes a lot of issues. PVP usually results in /b whining, and reports for various different reasons that we all know. While I personally do enjoy PVP, I like that PVP to have a meaning, some kind of reason or story behind it outside of just gaining assets. Others aren't necessarily of the same mindset. The idea I propose is something that will allow players who do just like to roll labs, shoot, and gain assets a proper outlet to do that without pissing off people that aren't into that. I suggest implementing a PVP zone. Specifically 2 out of 7 active labs will be an instanced zone that rotates during the day. In these zones, when instanced in, you can die, and respawn, not losing anything on you. Instead what happens in these zones is you respawn, and continue with the shooting. Kills in these zones grant a specific currency that can then be used at black market dealers to get specific things. When the zone is about to end (be rotated to a new lab), the cops will be called by a "random bystander" that there's a lot of heavy gunfire in this area. This will then also translate to everyone in the zone that cops have been called. This is now the chance for criminals to leave before cops show up or now continue fighting. For each on duty officer killed in this zone at this point will offer bonuses of the currency given, but if you now go down in this zone you risk being arrested and or robbed of whatever you have on you. The reason I think this should be instanced is so that cops cannot be accused of sitting by active labs to find said zones by hearing the gun fire. If a cop does show up before being called, we can now ask why they were there to begin with and go from there on a rules standpoint if no valid IC reason is given. As far as rp goes, this can give the "shooters" a chance to make a name for themselves within the criminal underworld. Items they can get from black market dealers with the currency can show this. It could be simple things such as a special t-shirt on up to maybe assets like a rare gun. (I recommend not making any assets gotten from this something that can be meta, just something to give players that like to show off their skills in this area of the game something to do without getting reported for it.) This also gives cops more to do now without interrupting the mainly crim activity that is cooking in labs. Something that is often complained about these days, memes being made that GND is a gang that just rolls labs now. Cops can get action that some crave without the threat of pissing off crims who are just at labs to cook. I feel this will also fix a lot of the pointless shooting that happens outside of labs that some people complain about as now people that legitimately care about their prowess as a shooter, or if its just two people having beef, have places to go settle this kind of stuff. I know this isn't exactly a thing we want to see in a serious RP/realism server, but I feel we have to face the fact that ECRP hasn't been that for a while despite some people very much so wanting it to be that way. I think adding more things that will simply just be fun without worrying about "how realistic is this", or "how can we implement serious RP into this" will ultimately help the server keep its player base. This is a game at the end of the day, and I think it's been long enough to know your player base by now and what they like/want. I am not a developer by any means and do not know how much work this would take to implement into the server. I understand developers are hard at work, but I do feel like giving the people who enjoy this, is definitely an outlet for those people that enjoy this gameplay. Also ECRP has unique gun mechanics that personally I enjoy enough to consider shooting in GTA fun where as i usually find it very annoying and wonky most of the time. Why not give people an outlet to show off that aspect of the game that was worked on by developers.
  10. Except there's been several other hostage situations souls specific where it wasn't a cop hostage. The same things being negotiated of give us a fair shot at escape, yet it has always ended up the same, we get immediately shot at, tires taken, tazed, whatever. There's always a different excuse each time, just like you're using now. Usually i'm very good at trying to discuss and talk things out but apparently that's not liked and even mocked these days so i've just come to the conclusion that PD simply does not care, and you will always come up with some bull shit excuse and then surprise pikachu face when someone calls yall out for a win mentality.

    The SOULS

The Souls Accord 1st october 2025 EST. 2024 A Milestone Ahead going up in the criminal underworld The Souls of urban Los Santos would maintain to their strict standards for what is right and wrong. The Souls were not an organization that dabbled in the drug business, especially that of manufacture and distribution. This particular standard left an issue in which what was the greater pillbox area was a mainly drug distributed area leaving a part of urban los santos out of The Souls grasp. Pillbox hill was controlled by the Milestone Rogues, an organization that mainly kept quiet and dealt with the drug game becoming the main distributor for meth-heads and the like within the area of Pillbox. The Souls raised this issue to the Milestones, claiming that to keep a neutral stance within Los Santos; it was best for them to have the last piece of the puzzle of urban Los Santos as The Souls were in control of areas including Downtown, Legion Square and The Mile High Club building. The Souls believed that in their fight against corruption and government organizations like PD & GSB, it was vital they held important police patrol area- this included the greater part of San Andreas Avenue. What started off as a meeting between a few “diplomats”, Ace brought up the turf issue. The MSR member said they would bring this to their leader, intrigued by the offer Ace had proposed; Information and a turf for a turf. much conversation went by including how each gang is holding up, what weapons they can import, goals, etc. A day Later goes by, Ace recieves a text from one of the 2 members who met with him and Jeffe asking if he can meet with the leader of MSR. All very last minute and unprepared, a hopeful Ace meets with the leader to discuss the turf issue however not much certainty had come out of the conversation. Ace was told they would discuss between themselves of how they may make a decision. to be continued...
