If you're trying to come at the Dojin-Kai now, I'd advise against using a situation in which you deathmatched our members as an example

  5. Spamming /accesssafe is nonrp. You should be rp'ing looking in, under and behind furniture to find any safes that may be there. To me it seems like you just want easy loot and have no consideration for rp
  6. キャプチャー (Capture) Recently, the Dojin-Kai have been receiving trouble from a group of individuals known as Green Taxi. They liked to spend their time slandering the Dojin-Kai and being loudmouths in our presence; a lesson had to be taught. Calls were made over the radio declaring that Green Taxi were in Paleto, so the family made their way up north as fast as they could. In pursuit of the green vehicle, a collision occurred, injuring the driver and leaving one stranded. The lone member, known to the Dojin-Kai as Zavala, was swiftly forced into a vehicle and transported to a remote location. Frank Patterson, Hendrixo Jones and two Minarai stayed in the basement with the captive, whilst everyone else was ordered to head upstairs and secure the house. The first call was to cut Zavala's hair, which was done by a Minarai with a knife. It was not long before another captive walked down the steps; he had apprently been caught lurking outside and was brought to the basement as well. The man was ordered to go onto his knees in the opposite corner, and this was when another member of Green Taxi showed up out of nowhere. The third person has seemingly wandered in on his own, although it would soon be known to the Dojin-Kai that he had brought even more company... The radio became hectic. Among the voices, the words "It's time to go, the Sheriff's here" could be heard. The captives were abandoned, and the group began heading out of the basement, only to hear the words "they're searching the house". The group had to be quick on their toes and think of an escape plan, which led to them running upstairs, and subsequently jumping off a balcony onto the grass below. With no SD Deputys on the south side of the building, they began sprinting away from the house and into the fields; they had successfully escaped. Everyone had managed to escape the house, although many cars still remained, and they would all unfortunately be impounded. Despite this, rides were arranged for those who were on foot, and a meeting took place in a location away from where the Sheriff's Department had found the family. All were instructed to turn off their phones prior to arriving at the location Kyodai's and above were told to stand together, whilst all below were to gather and listen to what their higherups had to say. Big issues were raised, the main one being radio etiquette; when to speak, when to shut up, and what to say on radio. Additionally, the conduct of the Minarai during the kidnapping situation was mentioned and criticised, warnings were issued and it seemed like the Dojin-Kai could return to business as usual. As it turns out, someone did not turn their phone off, and towards the end of the meeting, the family noticed people in the distance wearing different colours. As the people came running towards, it was suddenly aparent that they were armed detectives, carrying carbine rifles and shouting demands. Jason Steel could be heard shouting "HANDS UP HANDS UP HANDS UP" as everyone fled in differences directions and attempted to make yet another escape. Most people ran up the stairs, again, in attempt to hide among the sprawling pipes and corridors that surrounded the power plant's main structure. Some found ledges that they could jump off and begin running into the wilderness. Frank misjudged the height of the ledge he jumped off, and became seriously injured in the process. Although slow, Frank began running away from the power plant, but was eventually caught up to by Jason Steel; he was quickly hauled back to the power plant and thrown into an unmarked cruiser. Frank Patterson and Kenny Cashwell were put in a detectives vehicle under the supervision of Jo Campbell, as they were the two that Zavala had named as being her kidnappers. Additionally, detectives had also been pursing Frank for a few days prior due to his impersonation of a detective. Despite the eye witness accounts given to detectives, no proof had yet been found, so Kenny and Frank were sent to Mission Row to serve sentences for evasion of law enforcement. In an attempt to bait a confession for the kidnappings, Campbell informed the pair that they were going to be sent to DOC after Mission Row, but Kenny continued singing, and nothing incriminating was said. Sitting in a cell with Lola Millers at Mission Row, Frank knew that Campbell would be waiting for him upon his release; he needed a plan to escape. He had one option, and that was to swap clothes with the random man he found in the cell. The random man happily obliged, and upon Frank's release, he ran as fast as he can away from Mission Row, heading through the sewers. He would eventually come to a road, where he would hitch hike his way to Koi and rejoin his family. Once again, Frank had evaded the law
  7. To me, the new UI seems like a pretty pointless update on a problem that didn't actually exist. There's no point in further complicating a system that had nothing wrong with it anyway; as they say, if it aint broke don't fix it. Having to use a scroll wheel to unlock and lock property doors makes you run the risk of a weapon being drawn accidently, which further leaves you lacking, as this now gives someone a reason to rob you when you never intended to show your weapon. Furthermore, having to use scroll wheel to pick up items, and being given such a tiny hitbox to find the 'pick up' option makes the UI even more frustrating. As for the addition of apartment blocks and the removal of ID search from MDC, I believe they are welcome changes that don't need to be rolled back.
  8. What would be the point of going to jail if you could serve your time offline? Just commit a crime and then go to sleep for the night, wake up and be out? Also, this isn't Grant Theft Auto, it's Eclipse Roleplay, and it differs significantly.
  9. There's no need to be hostile Jack, it's a game after all
  10. So would you agree that if the entry quiz was tougher, and the punishments harsher, you would agree and expect higher levels of rp from the people that remain?
  11. I agree that the quiz should be tougher. There's too many newer players, sometimes even without the ((new player)) tag, that clearly do not know the basic rules, despite having passed the quiz. I disagree with the point you made "I think it is unreasonable to except people to have good in-depth role-play scenarios when the server actively goes against this". I think everyone should be expected to display somewhat interesting and well thought out rp, after all it is a roleplay server.
  12. Bruh. The whole point of gta roleplay is for it to have a strong element of realism. it literally IS suppsoed so be a life simulator to some degree. You want me to head outside and start setting up drug labs, importing weapons and getting into shootouts? aight but you're paying my bail. Besides, you heard of Corona? Yeah, that do be kinda keeping us all inside doe. Edit: still cannae believe you said that LMAO
  13. I think the point of the rule is ask why would someone with a multi-million dollar car waste their time robbing a random in a 50-100k car, who may not even be carrying anything of value.
  14. Do people really lack the imagination to be able to come up with some interesting rp, or are they really so boring that they have to spend all their time robbing and shooting for no reason? Also, my report highlighted how beneficial this new rule can be. This is a roleplay server, if you don't wish to roleplay then I suggest you go play GTA Online, you'll find it more enjoyable I still agree with many of the points that @MrUntouchable215 and @Mariaaaa made, the rule isn't perfect and could do with some improving, although to suggest that the inclusion of the new rule is a bad thing is a bit dumb.
  15. 園芸 (Gardening) Exiting the war, the Dojin-Kai made an agreement with the council to pay 100 drugs to each of its members every two weeks. In preparation, Frank decided to round up the family and head to Braddock's Farm in order to collect Marijuana plants for their cooking operation. Armed with pump shotguns, the crew began planting, crafting and picking, defending the area from hostile groups that may want to cause disruptions. Eventually, a group of Fog City decided to come and try their luck, but the team was already in vehicles ready to fight. Shortly after, a horde of Sheriffs would begin approaching, which is when the Dojin-Kai decided to leave with the plants they had collected.
  16. Looks interesting, the kills could work if rp'd well. Good luck!
  17. So unfair that I can't continue playing an rpless character that revolves around robbing randoms for their gps and radio in the middle of the street for no reason. Cheers, son's crying.
  18. WCA set an example for what good rp was on this server, it was great being allied with every amazing person in the gang. Sad to see it end like this

  20. Frank Patterson - Part 2 Part 1: Chapter 1 | Demise of the Rooks The war was still raging, but a ceasefire was called to allow The Rooks to meet amongst themselves. The council had given them an ultimatum: remove Dmitri Leroy as leader and elect a new one, or continue the war. The family met at a dock in South Los Santos, and came together to form a parliament for discussion. The meeting lasted for what felt like three hours, and involved a lot of debate, shouting, division and tension. Photo credit: @Jimmy Irish Each member was given their say on the current situation, and the general consensus was that Dmitri needed to step down in order for the The Rooks to survive. The issue that divided the parliament, however, was who would replace Dmitri. Eventually, there were two candidates for leadership: Jerzy McEden (someone who was a Rook), or Gauge Michaels (someone who was not a Rook, although favoured by the council). The parliament was split 50/50, with exactly half of the members present voting for each candidate. Jerzy and Gauge would come to an agreement; they were to lead in coalition, with Gauge handling external affairs and Jerzy handling internal affairs. The Rooks would live another day, or so it seemed. Despite the agreement, the council would continue hitting The Rooks, and issued more demands. First of all, at the request of Jay Gamble, Frank Patterson was to be removed from the Rooks; this hit Frank hard, and was odd considering Jay didn't even remember his face and had only spoken to him once. Gauge Michaels would leave the city again after less than a week as co-leader of The Rooks, which left Jerzy to handle the final demand of the council: rename, rebrand and reform. The Rooks disbanded, all that was left in the hearts of everyone was emptiness; a void. Chapter 2 | Joining the Dojin-Kai Not long after the demise of The Rooks, Frank was approached by an old contact that he new simply as Ghost. He informed Frank that he was working on a new crew, and recognised Frank's experience in the city and wanted him to join. Along with two other men that Frank knew simply as Brian and Jake Wu, they drove to a secluded location. Here it was revealed that they were the Dojin-Kai, an international clan of the Yakuza. Their names were James, Jake and Brian Sakamoto. Many gangs of Los Santos announce their presence too early; they show numbers and are instantly wiped out for it. The Dojin-Kai, however, would have a public appearance of the Miner's Union, which would allow them to spend their first three weeks of existence building up their treasury. At that time, all people besides the trio were Minarai of the Dojin-Kai, and were yet to be initiated as masked members. The time came for a meeting with the family, and Frank was among the first four to be initiated as Kobun of the Dojin-Kai. Chapter 3 | Going public The time would eventually come for the Dojin-Kai to announce their presence in the city. With enough money for a HQ, the family would make their presence know with the colour red and their stationing at the Dojo in Paleto. Eventually, however, The Triads would come for the family for no apparent reason, hitting the Dojo unexpectedly, but failing to do so with all their troops being killed. This aggravated them, and they demanded an excessive payment of 100 .50 pistols, or else there would be conflict. Refusing to do so, the Dojin-Kai stood firm, and the Triads would come to realise that they could not enforce the demands on their own; the Dojin-Kai settled for changing their colour to black. > Weeks would pass, and the Dojin-Kai would continue mining for money. Members donated cash to the treasury in order for the final goal to be reached: Koi. Koi was an old Japanese restaurant down in Vespucci, right across the road from where The Rooks HQ used to be. The property was expensive, but that did not stop the Dojin-Kai, and it was eventually purchased. For some reason, this angered the Triads once again, who would start making wild claims and hitting Koi for the dumbest of reasons; the main one being that they 'don't like the Japanese'. They claimed to have been scammed out of Koi, which was a complete lie, but I guess they just wanted smoke. Obviously, the Dojin-Kai had no problem with giving smoke to those who requested it, but it did not take long before the Triads called Los Zetas as backup, as they could not do the job themselves. The Dojin-Kai persisted in their defense of Koi, and the family remained strong. Chapter 4 | War Once again, the council were coming for the largest organisation in town besides themselves, and this time it was the West Coast Assassins. A demand of 500 drugs a week was made, but WCA refused, as any respectable organisation would; this initiated a war between the two. Already in a minor conflict with Triads, the Dojin-Kai formed a strong aligment with WCA, and entered the war against the council. At first it was clear who was winning. Battle after battle, raid after raid, the allied forces were emerging victorious, and the enemy was seeing dramatic losses. Depiste this, however, the council would seek the help of Los Aztecas, not being able to cope with a 2v2 situation. From there, the power of the allied forces began to deteriorate. Holding onto Grove Street was simply becoming impossible whilst fighting three major organisations. It only took two days for Frank to be captured after the war resumed, and the council made sure that he would not be able to fight anymore; they cripped him the best they could. WCA never imagined they would be up against the council whilst they helped fight The Rooks, but their time eventually came. Despite it being glaringly obvious that Los Aztecas would receive the same treatment in the near future, they joined the council anyway. No one ever learns. Chapter 5 | Retirement and beyond Being too injured to fight, Frank would return to civilian life. Frank was recovering from the severe torture he'd faced, although he was still able to spend his time making as much money possible. The war continued, which would be evident by the occasional sound of gunshots in the distance or the sudden appearance of a gang convoy racing past. Many of his family had met the same fate, people like James Sakamoto, Bradley Castle and Brian Sakamoto, and he maintained contact with them the best he could. Morale was low, although the fight continued and war never seemed to end. Regardless, Frank was motivated to remain with the Dojin-Kai after the war, and he would not allow it to meet the same demise as The Rooks did. Something tells Frank, however, that the story of The Rooks has not quite ended just yet, but that's another story for another day. Big things are happening, and Frank will make sure he is armed and ready to go again once the dust settles.
