  1. 園芸 (Gardening) Exiting the war, the Dojin-Kai made an agreement with the council to pay 100 drugs to each of its members every two weeks. In preparation, Frank decided to round up the family and head to Braddock's Farm in order to collect Marijuana plants for their cooking operation. Armed with pump shotguns, the crew began planting, crafting and picking, defending the area from hostile groups that may want to cause disruptions. Eventually, a group of Fog City decided to come and try their luck, but the team was already in vehicles ready to fight. Shortly after, a horde of Sheriffs would begin approaching, which is when the Dojin-Kai decided to leave with the plants they had collected.
  2. Looks interesting, the kills could work if rp'd well. Good luck!
  3. So unfair that I can't continue playing an rpless character that revolves around robbing randoms for their gps and radio in the middle of the street for no reason. Cheers, son's crying.
  4. WCA set an example for what good rp was on this server, it was great being allied with every amazing person in the gang. Sad to see it end like this
  5. Frank Patterson - Part 2 Part 1: Chapter 1 | Demise of the Rooks The war was still raging, but a ceasefire was called to allow The Rooks to meet amongst themselves. The council had given them an ultimatum: remove Dmitri Leroy as leader and elect a new one, or continue the war. The family met at a dock in South Los Santos, and came together to form a parliament for discussion. The meeting lasted for what felt like three hours, and involved a lot of debate, shouting, division and tension. Photo credit: @Jimmy Irish Each member was given their say on the current situation, and the general consensus was that Dmitri needed to step down in order for the The Rooks to survive. The issue that divided the parliament, however, was who would replace Dmitri. Eventually, there were two candidates for leadership: Jerzy McEden (someone who was a Rook), or Gauge Michaels (someone who was not a Rook, although favoured by the council). The parliament was split 50/50, with exactly half of the members present voting for each candidate. Jerzy and Gauge would come to an agreement; they were to lead in coalition, with Gauge handling external affairs and Jerzy handling internal affairs. The Rooks would live another day, or so it seemed. Despite the agreement, the council would continue hitting The Rooks, and issued more demands. First of all, at the request of Jay Gamble, Frank Patterson was to be removed from the Rooks; this hit Frank hard, and was odd considering Jay didn't even remember his face and had only spoken to him once. Gauge Michaels would leave the city again after less than a week as co-leader of The Rooks, which left Jerzy to handle the final demand of the council: rename, rebrand and reform. The Rooks disbanded, all that was left in the hearts of everyone was emptiness; a void. Chapter 2 | Joining the Dojin-Kai Not long after the demise of The Rooks, Frank was approached by an old contact that he new simply as Ghost. He informed Frank that he was working on a new crew, and recognised Frank's experience in the city and wanted him to join. Along with two other men that Frank knew simply as Brian and Jake Wu, they drove to a secluded location. Here it was revealed that they were the Dojin-Kai, an international clan of the Yakuza. Their names were James, Jake and Brian Sakamoto. Many gangs of Los Santos announce their presence too early; they show numbers and are instantly wiped out for it. The Dojin-Kai, however, would have a public appearance of the Miner's Union, which would allow them to spend their first three weeks of existence building up their treasury. At that time, all people besides the trio were Minarai of the Dojin-Kai, and were yet to be initiated as masked members. The time came for a meeting with the family, and Frank was among the first four to be initiated as Kobun of the Dojin-Kai. Chapter 3 | Going public The time would eventually come for the Dojin-Kai to announce their presence in the city. With enough money for a HQ, the family would make their presence know with the colour red and their stationing at the Dojo in Paleto. Eventually, however, The Triads would come for the family for no apparent reason, hitting the Dojo unexpectedly, but failing to do so with all their troops being killed. This aggravated them, and they demanded an excessive payment of 100 .50 pistols, or else there would be conflict. Refusing to do so, the Dojin-Kai stood firm, and the Triads would come to realise that they could not enforce the demands on their own; the Dojin-Kai settled for changing their colour to black. > Weeks would pass, and the Dojin-Kai would continue mining for money. Members donated cash to the treasury in order for the final goal to be reached: Koi. Koi was an old Japanese restaurant down in Vespucci, right across the road from where The Rooks HQ used to be. The property was expensive, but that did not stop the Dojin-Kai, and it was eventually purchased. For some reason, this angered the Triads once again, who would start making wild claims and hitting Koi for the dumbest of reasons; the main one being that they 'don't like the Japanese'. They claimed to have been scammed out of Koi, which was a complete lie, but I guess they just wanted smoke. Obviously, the Dojin-Kai had no problem with giving smoke to those who requested it, but it did not take long before the Triads called Los Zetas as backup, as they could not do the job themselves. The Dojin-Kai persisted in their defense of Koi, and the family remained strong. Chapter 4 | War Once again, the council were coming for the largest organisation in town besides themselves, and this time it was the West Coast Assassins. A demand of 500 drugs a week was made, but WCA refused, as any respectable organisation would; this initiated a war between the two. Already in a minor conflict with Triads, the Dojin-Kai formed a strong aligment with WCA, and entered the war against the council. At first it was clear who was winning. Battle after battle, raid after raid, the allied forces were emerging victorious, and the enemy was seeing dramatic losses. Depiste this, however, the council would seek the help of Los Aztecas, not being able to cope with a 2v2 situation. From there, the power of the allied forces began to deteriorate. Holding onto Grove Street was simply becoming impossible whilst fighting three major organisations. It only took two days for Frank to be captured after the war resumed, and the council made sure that he would not be able to fight anymore; they cripped him the best they could. WCA never imagined they would be up against the council whilst they helped fight The Rooks, but their time eventually came. Despite it being glaringly obvious that Los Aztecas would receive the same treatment in the near future, they joined the council anyway. No one ever learns. Chapter 5 | Retirement and beyond Being too injured to fight, Frank would return to civilian life. Frank was recovering from the severe torture he'd faced, although he was still able to spend his time making as much money possible. The war continued, which would be evident by the occasional sound of gunshots in the distance or the sudden appearance of a gang convoy racing past. Many of his family had met the same fate, people like James Sakamoto, Bradley Castle and Brian Sakamoto, and he maintained contact with them the best he could. Morale was low, although the fight continued and war never seemed to end. Regardless, Frank was motivated to remain with the Dojin-Kai after the war, and he would not allow it to meet the same demise as The Rooks did. Something tells Frank, however, that the story of The Rooks has not quite ended just yet, but that's another story for another day. Big things are happening, and Frank will make sure he is armed and ready to go again once the dust settles.
  6. The greatest allies of the Dojin-Kai. Amazing bunch of people with some great rp! West coast best coast
  7. You're making this thread look really disorganised with all the irrelevant posts bro
  8. 拷問 (Torture) Frank was working in Paleto when he heard Sufyaan Khan talk over the radio about a Zeta vehicle parked outside a property in Mirror Park. Frank quickly drove down to Mirror Park, where he would join a few members of the Dojin-Kai in attempting to raid the property. Intially, all was well as the owner had left his house and was being held at gunpoint. Suddenly, the crew found themselves under automatic gunfire from multiple directions, which was followed up with the arrival of many Zeta, Triad and Azetca vehicles. Apparently, Frank was a person of some value to his enemies, as they treated his wounds and hauled him into a trunk, despite finishing off the rest of his house-raiding crew. After a short ride from Mirror Park, Frank found himself in an old warehouse in the docks of Los Santos, surrounded by Skinny Gambino, Flint Capone, an unidentified Triad and an unidentifed Azteca. Whilst on the floor, injured, Frank's, mobile phone was searched by Skinny Gambino for potential contacts that would be willing to pay ransom. First of all, Dante Kalshnikov, former underboss of The Rooks was given a call, as one of Frank's latests texts was from him. Slowly realising that Dante was not a member of the Dojin-Kai, Skinny moved on. This time, it would be Brian Sakamoto, Wakagashira of the Dojin-Kai, that would be receiving a call. Making it clear that the Dojin-Kai would not bow down to demands, the ransom was refused, as it had been with other kidnapped members; Frank had accepted this, agreeing when a previous ransom for a lower-ranking member was not paid. Due to this, the unidentified Triad began torturing Frank. there was more torturing before these but I only had 15 minutes of footage As a part of the Dojin-Kai's background in martial arts, members are put through rigorious training to discipline them mentally and physically. The purpose of this is to strengthen them on the battlefield and allow them to withstand the most brutal of torture, compose themselves during interrogation and hold a sound state of mind in general. Consequently, Frank would show no vocal and little physical reaction to the torture; his captors believe he could handle the pain due to excessive amounts of cocaine in his system. Soon enough, it was time for Frank to die. He was given some last words, which he used to warn the lone Azteca about the brutality of the council and what they had done to The Rooks and West Coast Assassins in the past. Hoxton's carbine rifle did not work, so a knife was plunged into Frank to finish the job. Frank would wake up hours later, remembering little from the situation. He was found by paramedics who would promptly rush him to hospital. Although discharged from the hospital, Frank is much too injured to continue fighting, and although the flaying was somewhat painful, Frank will always take pride in the fact that his Dojin-Kai tattoo remained untouched and on his body. "something tells me that in another life, we'll catch you", were the words stated boldy by the Triad, although something tells Frank, that will not happen.
  9. ソーシャルメディア (Social media) With the recent addition of a Social Media website in Los Santos, Frank was eager to sign up and connect with others (for better or for worse, mostly the latter). In the coming weeks, Frank will be posting updates regarding the Dojin-Kai, and perhaps some photos of his time in Los Santos. Gotta rep the Dojin-Kai online Had to happen For obvious reasons, this post was deleted shortly after being posted #LSSD Not a single lie here
  10. +1 People will invest thousands of hours (and often real money) into Eclipse and then suddenly get a ban because of a dumb mistake (some folks tend to forget that we're all human) or because someone got clapped and couldn't accept the L
  11. -1 rp is not really affected by some pets running around, if it makes folks happy then there's no point in restricting it.

    Phone Overhaul

+1, would also be nice to have an IC social media, accessible via the mobile phone, like there was in GTA V story mode
  13. My guy, there is an opportunity for 'mob' type factions to exist. They have existed in the past and players do often try to create their own. The type of factions that exist are not down to admins or developers, it is solely the responsibility of players to form the factions they want to see in the city, and do the rp that comes along with that. If you want to see a 'mob' type faction, then I implore you to go ahead and start one.
  14. Good luck, had some great rp with the Worker's Union already!

  20. Frank Patterson Chapter 1 | Origins Frank was born in a quiet village in the north of England, in Yorkshire to be specific. Growing up, Frank realised that the United Kingdom was becoming an increasingly harsh place to live in. If he was to stay in the north, living among the farms and the sheep, then there was little chance of acquiring vast amounts of wealth; no matter how tranquil life in the village was, Frank always aspired to go further. If he was to move to the south (anywhere below Yorkshire), then he'd have to live surrounded by dreadful accents and remainers; no one wants that. Then there was London, which is a major financial hub and a distant land of opportunities, but Frank knew he'd rather not get stabbed by a teenager wearing Armani or trampled by robotic commuters. Frank had considered all his options within the United Kingdom, and that's when he heard of a city called Los Santos in America; it was a place where dreams supposedly came true, he was intruiged. Frank was deliberating on whether or not to make to move, when he received a knock on the door, followed by a man shouting "POLICE, OPEN UP". Frank opened the door and was informed that he was to receive an ASBO (Anti-Social Behavioural Order) for calling someone a 'Scouser prick' online. "Fuck it", Frank said, "I'm off to Los Santos". Chapter 2 | New city, new friends It didn't take long for Frank to find a solid crew to roll with. Soon enough, he met three people that he could call his mates, whom he knew he could trust. Their names (in order of meeting) were Cheyenne, Max and Kenneth. Both being new to the city, they aimed to learn as much about Los Santos as they could, and how they could make money. They soon met a man by the name of Mike Laurie, who helped to introduce them to many of the city's locations and opportunities; he showed a level of compassion that no other long-time resident would ever afford the pair. Mike revealed himself to be a part of a gang called 'West Coast Assassins', although Frank was clueless as to what this meant. soon after, they met max and Kenneth, who would accompany them on their intial journey to discovering all the city had to offer. At the time, Frank was not very familiar with the criminal gangs of Los Santos, and he had no desire to ever seek them out. Max was a member of a supposed 'anti-gang' called the Rebels, although they disbanded not long after Frank met him. Sticking together as a four, Frank, Cheyenne, Max and Kenneth would soon begin robbing convenience stores as a way to make a little bit of cash; they all received their first felonies from this. The squad continuted to roll with each other for a while, and Frank didn't do much outside of this. Despite this, he did occasionally hang out by the Los Zantos 24/7 store, as Cheyenne has introduced him to a man named Deakin Storm, and subseqeutly to a group called 'the Zetas' (or whatever it was). They seemed nice enough. Chapter 3 | West Coast Assassins Due to Frank's quick tongue, a minor incident occurred that meant he could not return to the store, and he was potentially in danger. Because of this, Frank contacted his old friend Mike, and asked if he could join West Coast Assassins. Mike stated that Frank would need to catch a tan, which he promptly did, before anything could happen. Soon enough, Frank was a member of WCA. At that moment, the gang was embroiled in a bloody war with Novo Los Aztecas and the Front Yard Ballas; this was very exciting for Frank, and WCA would ultimately emerge victorious. Frank's involvement would unfortunately come to a halt as christmas had just arrived, and he had to leave Los Santos for 3 months ((3 weeks)) to visit his family back in England. Due to this, and the fact that Frank was a new recruit, he had to part from WCA, which was a shame, but understandable from the perspective of his higher-ups. After returning in January 2020, Frank was quickly accepted back into WCA, although he was soon let go after a purge that saw prominent members such as Tony Baboni leave the gang. Once again, Frank was independent. Chapter 4 | Los Zetas? It was not long before Frank reconnected with Cheyenne and begun hanging around Los Zetas again, although this time it would be in their new headquarters. Frank made a lot of new friends, he admired them and they admired him. Additionally, he would come to learn a lot more about how a criminal organisation operated. He would receive training from Reece Curry to be effective in gang activites, practicing skills such as location callouts and efficient mugging. Whilst rolling with Zetas, many a situation would occur where Frank would find himself opening fire on enemy gangs and the Los Santos Police Department (sorry Church x). After chilling with Zetas for a week or two, Frank would become a 'pre-prospect' which meant he was on his way to being recruited. During this period, he would continue familiarising himself with the gang and making himself known to its members; he even attended a Zeta wedding. Frank could not find the ties in the clothing store Despite Frank's seemingly promising path towards becoming a Zeta, it soon became apparent that not all the members liked him as much as others. Names will not be named, but Frank was eventually informed that he was being rejected from the organisation, and as such he would no longer be allowed to chill at their HQ. The news came as a shock, to Frank as well as the friends he had made along the way. Once again, Frank was independent. Chapter 5 | Joining the Rooks Frank had been aware of the Rooks for a while, although he had never thought to approach them; that was until he met Jack Hawk. Frank had approached Jack and enquired about joining the Rooks. Almost immediately, Frank began rolling with Jack, and would soon be introduced to the Rook family, whom he would have to prove his worth to. Frank felt closer to the Rooks than he had with any other gang; there was a real sense of family that accompanied the organisation. Additionally, Frank greatly admired their system of democracy when it came to recruiting new members; such a system was not present in Los Zetas, where recruitment was ultimately the decision of one or two people. Soon enough, the time came for Frank to enter the recruitment stage. Taken to Rook HQ, he was frisked and asked a series of tough questions to assess how well he knew the city and its many criminal facilities. After a long interview, members were asked to cast their votes; a hand up if they wished to see Frank in the family, and a hand down if they did not. Going along the line, the people Frank had been rolling with each recalled their experiences hanging with Frank, conveying their thoughts about him and what he could bring to the family. Surpsingly, Frank received a 'yes' from every member present; he was welcomed to the family with open arms. Frank was now a Rook. Chapter 6 | A grand old war In Los Santos, it has long been the custom and obligation of all gangs to pay taxes to the Council. Despite the vast amounts of wealth they were amassing, it was eventually decided that the taxation system would be abolished in favour of what they referred to as a 'respect' system. The concept was simple, gangs would have to earn neutrality with the Council not through payment, but through earning their absolute respect; their definition of the term was never clear, which left it open to member interpretation and was therefore a problem. The family immediately congregated to discuss the new changes, and there ensued a long debate over what the new respect system meant, both semantically and in regards to the future of the Rooks. Almost immediately after the meeting, the Rooks found themselves being hunted by Zetas, and it appeared that any prospects of earning respect were thrown out the window. In their words, it was open season. A purge had commenced, and no Rook was safe, at least, that's what the Zetas thought. What was initially confusing was the fact that it only appeared to be Zetas out trying to hunt the family, as their allies, the Triads, remained neutral for a good while. Nonetheless, the situation would escalate into an all-out war. Rooks were now being hunted by Zetas and Triads, and it was not long before Novo Los Aztecas, a former ally, and West Coast Assassins began sucking up the the Council and started hunting Rooks as well. Despite the onslaught, the Rooks found allyship in many groups of mercenaries and unnamed gangs, as well as stepping up their own recruitment. Both sides of the conflict had experienced wins and losses, and the Rooks were still standing strong, but the ultimate conclusion of the war is yet to be seen...... all information in this post is not to be used IC, no OOC beef is intended
  21. Los Zetas and Triads are/were both real-life gangs. I think it can work if executed properly.
