This process is handled completely in-character. You could join LSPD and try to change the processes if you wanted. But the end line is, you do certain crimes and you get your license revoked. Sure you can pay a few thousand dollars to bypass it and get an illegal gun, but then you get the risk of being arrested for that. I have had my gun license for 3 and a half years and I’ve used it for self defence a few times and never had it removed because I did it within the IC guidelines given. Nearly all legal characters retain their gun licenses because it’s pretty explicitly stated what you can and can’t do with it. If you’re playing a criminal character don’t expect to retain your legal license for very long.

For the rp?

Faction leaders can definitely make suggestions or requests to Faction Services and I'm sure @Bakmeel would hear factions out. The communication line is set up between faction leadership and faction services to discuss things like this for sure. Would be good to have some crim focused events, it's just very hard given the track record of basically every one attempted so far.

We put some up in the front parking covering the front area that's more public: https://gov.eclipse-rp.net/viewtopic.php?t=108215 We also tried to put some inside but with the MLO they bugged and turned invisible when we tried. This was with furniture and admin spawned props. It would be good to have 1 or 2 inside if one of the mappers implemented it into the MLO itself

Added Note: After some testing with this person it seems it's specifically his property that's broken as surrounding ones had no issues when doors were placed.

You could genuinely attempt this with a decent financial backing and some vehicles and adverts. Sure you wouldn’t have f4 salary management and stuff to start with but you can definitely attempt to negotiate some sort of government subsidised salary from the government ic pretty easily if you were an actual faction. It has more script support as is than most other faction ideas I’m surprised someone hasn’t attempted it yet.

Cost could be managed a bit to make them more in line with each other, sure. In terms of adding a bigger safe I disagree, specifically "safe". The 2 options there are pretty decent, and if the price was balanced a little more you have a good 2 options for securing things. A storage item that's like a more static crate like pictured below as a furniture item that can store a hefty load (either slots, weight, or both) BUT be unprotected by codes would be good. Using vending machines as storage was great, the un-breakable aspect was shit but the volume and slots were so good for organising and bulk storage. There's 165 people in official illegal factions alone compared to 216 LSPD and LSSD combined. When factoring in the unofficial gangs and the solo criminals do you not think those numbers are rather balanced? I feel number of people in the faction or online isn't really the problem. And it's hard to really make an argument for limiting to X per scenario as that'd have to be applied both sides for it to not be crazy. Obviously there's the backup rule and stuff but that's kinda hard to think of a way to balance that against LEO if that comes up as a topic. Said as someone rather impartial to this whole topic as I'm neither LEO nor a serious crim.

This tbh. Another issue is if this theoretical thing was implemented people get angry or salty that someone else from a different faction (generally that they consider the enemy, ooc half the time) is judging their RP. I'd take even more ways of reducing time within the prison itself, like making the stamp:time ratio better. Offering time off as an incentive seems good on paper but I can imagine a fair few issues come with it working the ways mentioned above. Don't bribe people to do better RP, instead make them feel a bit less crappy about being in prison in the first place and the RP will flow from that. The changes so far have done a pretty good job at that and going further with it would improve that. I'm not even going to talk much about MD RP because I'm gonna be honest with you guys, most of the time I've seen something beyond "/do broken leg" is when someone wants to stall to bleed out and generate continuous wounds that don't stop bleeding, I think a lot more effort needs to be given from the criminal side in this regard. (A simple "/me would require surgery for X" would prompt an AMU response if that's available and can be fun RP if someone actually cared about RPing something more serious)
