+1 but I also agree with this sentiment, so I would have to say it is only a +1 if they implemented stricter rules about wearing masks all the time and gloves... its already pretty non rp but they arent strict enough on people living their lives behind a giant gorilla mask...

+-1 I think this could be nice but honestly I don't know if I think the community is mature enough for this, we would probably just have them scattered all over the place, people robbing anyone with one, and just overall chaos... interesting, but probably not reasonable.

+1 however a firm note to everyone to remember this is a LOT of coding and rageMP also experiences a lot of desync issues, sooooo while it is a fun idea, I think developer priority should be on more overarching civillian RP support instead of just golf, and also to manage expectations <3. I think that is a fallacy pointing to something else. The way the current impound lot works now is just not reasonable for the size of the community. I believe having an "npc" desk where players just pay all their tickets and get their car back if they have no active warrants is more than reasonable. +1

+1 I think being able to apply for a back door on the forums if you have a logical exit in your home is brilliant, like I have a back door to my pool area and it would be nice to be able to place an exit in the hall way that takes me outside to that area rather than having to run around. Nice idea and not overly hard to implement with current scripting.

I don't think going back to the old way is the right answer, though looking at this might be right, I think maybe give the taxi drivers 5 minutes to respond to your call (20 minutes in game) After that you will be given authorization for a limited time to draw a city bee that dissapears in 10 minutes. This would keep DCC working and the city not covered in city bees like prior to the change, but it would also allow people who are waiting to get their lift home and get rid of the city bee when they are done with it so someone doesn't just pick it up.

The issue is I pay 2 dollars a month for a 1000 listener unlimited bandwidth server, and they want 30 dollars for 500 gig 500 listener on internet-radio, and I am forced to host through internet radio? Its just a garbage host and I already have a radio station that I have been hosting for ages... it seems like a lot of trouble to limit us to internet-radio as a company for hosting...

I agree that its a game and should be different, but we actually use "realism" to encourage and justify a lot of really game breaking, or bad decisions... so why toss it out the window. There is a lot of "selective realism" going on... regardless this is about building permissions and I would definitely love to see them allowed and put in. I see a lot of people offering remodeling, and the building system is really frustrating so its definitely a good idea. I would love to see companies started officially through the government for remodeling and decorating

You do realize in real life you can sell a vehicle for cash with no taxes by transferring the registration at the DMV.... so the bank or DMV should allow people to do the same. Saying people are avoiding taxes by using an bank or DMV hand to hand transfer is actually a pretty serious powergame... in fact most used cars are FSBO... Unless you are buying from a dealership you never pay sales tax directly on the vehicle... Houses I can agree, but there would be contracts done at the bank and the bank would deal with escrow to make sure the transfer of the home is done safely and insured by the bank. So the logic of allowing someone to steal money throw it in an atm and run away in a NCZ is actually super backwards.

So now that many people have homes, there is a lot of new RP coming up in the forum of stylizing your own place... and itll get more important if NBDY is doing the thing he teased in discord.... but right now having a key doesnt allow you to change move or mod a home, and there is no alternate system.... so if I wanted to have a friend stylize my house for me, or start a company for pimping a house for people... the house would have to go in their name, and since for some reason we can't say the word gang at the bank, but we can scam people for millions of dollars which is a hilarious decision btw lol... There are no protections for this. Now, while I would like to see the bank as a safe space to make deals again, itd be nice to have the ability to add a person as "build privileged" on my house panel, so they would be able to build for me.

Mmmm I think making the mines an NCZ would be a bit overkill, and I say that as a miner, I think just explicitly stating that traveling deep into a mineshaft to rob a person using a jackhammer by making verbal demands would be pretty NRP... So I agree it shouldnt happen but it does, but its up to the admins to fix that and us to report it. If they say its okay that's when we would have a problem... but scripting in an NCZ just for the mining job is meh... just overkill and unnecessary...

Which for criminals isn't a problem because they can buy them just as cheap off the black market... or buy them from a friend... gun license laws hurt everyone but criminals atm.

I agree, I am more and more in love with the idea of 24-48 hour sentences in prison that can be slowly worked down or served offline as well... that would be a much bigger deterrent to the guy at the mines who runs by and holds a gun to a man in broad daylight for $1000 worth of copper... A lot of people say that if criminals are off the street LSPD wont have anything to RP but I disagree, what about community watch, what do cops do when they aren't on call... LSPD currently has so many calls half the time your call isn't even answered in time to get there... I've had a response take nearly an hour proving they have way too much to deal with atm, and as for criminals, quite honestly everyone wants to be the big guy with the gun, wants to feel powerful at the expense of another on this server, but nobody wants to serve 48 hours in prison... well everyone wants to rob a million dollars from the bank IRL but nobody wants to spend 30 years in prison.... Recently its been popping up more and more on the forums and I am glad, I hope a dramatic wave of change comes that kills this cops and robbers mentality and drives the city into more real RP... where the mentality isn't "don't like it, just CK" because CKing is a huge deal because youve put tons of character development into a character... I think the major point is... half the people in the server don't RP, they RPG where they just collect money and rob... I ended up joining the DOC and I love it there but I never wanted to be a prison guard... I did it because it was the only taste of RP I could get.... real interactions... since then I have expanded my circle and can throw small get together and have some meaningful interactions, but there's probably 30 people on my list that I'd care to call for a party or cookout... and lord knows I could never throw a public event. We need some different rules to encourage real RP... character development.

@Liam Boland Your feelings are valid, but you should not name other servers here, its tacky and against the rules. I also believe your anger is justified though you could be a little less aggressive in your post. All that being said you share some of the sentiments that a lot of us attempted civilian rpers have... we exist, but in small circles usually huddling around a quiet place on the outside of town, or in the home of someone hanging out. I don't know about motorcycle clubs, but best of luck, they existed for a long time, they just disbanded. The balance is way off and needs help, but like I said the admins have noticed, but they are dealing with so much, while trying to get the server functionally scripted in all elements, dealing with the massive influx in players, and rewriting a lot of the rules to suit the new changes... I don't know if or when it will happen... but I hope it does.

Such heartfelt words, I agree. robbing should not be the focus of criminal RP, give them something else to do... make a rule that a person can't wear a mask at bank... I hate that shit all we see is masks everywhere and its actually pretty meta because the only reason they are doing it is because they know it stops people from aliasing them aka remembering what they look like. There are a lot of things that can and will get better, I've heard a lot of the admin team chiming in recently, I used to think they were all tired and done... but recently we've seen them take such a strong active role in rule and server reform that I am hopeful we will see a lot of support for real honest RP... parties at a house, maybe a barbecue where you aren't gang rushed because they see 3 cars parked in a drive way. Also +1 to characters that make the server go around, Rocko is awesome and there are others like him. Unfortunately we lost one of the pillars of RP because they said the name of another server.... but still so many more are taking up that mantle, and we need more :).

Yea, though even what you say contradicts what is said by admins and mods before, where it is said that los santos is in a state in the U.S. of which there are no police states. Los Santoc is in the county of San Andreas pointing to it being in California.... so this is where the confusion begins. If it is in the U.S. and is meant to mimic the California state legal codes and the Constitution is meant to be what we RP for legality, then there are sooo many problems with the way things are done. There are some limitations to RP, as @Linden said, actual court proceedings for every case barely works in the real world because of the tremendous amount of time and manpower put into it, and could never be well executed, especially in a place where people commit crimes in broad daylight entirely too often. I do believe there should be some legal way to fight PD though, the US lives and breaths on systems that check each other and PD has currently too much authority to mimic the US. Anyways, I am sure as was said before the government will find a way to do things that is at least fair. Not every criminal wants to undo every crime they commit, some people just end up with a permanent record they can't fight because they don't constantly run OBS, or even sometimes because of glitches and bad RP. Cops are human too so there should be a way to erase their mistakes... IA doesnt cut it, because IA is asking the people who make the mistake, to admit the mistake, and it just doesn't happen much if at all. The government should have authority, but it is currently the worst paying and smallest faction trying to take on the biggest job... So I feel like ratifying some core values and right is 100% important, and saying its the US constitution is way off base because Los Santos can't follow the US constitution because of so many core game limitations...

I'll stop the back and forth cause I don't want it to get overwhelming to the post, I've done an IA report, and spoken to the government and PD and the DOC, which you would know if you read my post as I mentioned that... Also I was curious about your comment of me always hating on PD so I did a count, less than 20% of my posts are even related to PD or legality... This is nice to hear, because I feel like if 2 hours counts as 120 months in legal time my character serving has served a lifetime of perfectly legal civilian work and service to the citizens and it was disheartening to be told he will never escape the black mark because no systems existed. If you say its in the pipelines for some checks then that is all I've ever wanted . Thank you for your work.

Also that's rather rude and inaccurate. I only point to it when relevant, usually in threads regarding legality and punishment... in which it is extremely relevant... and the core of the topic. I am sorry you think all I do is complain about PD, but I do quite a bit more if you take the time to look at my posts. Also my complaint is never with PD in general, it is with the acceptance that they should be an unchecked power. I don't agree with it, and it leads to a toxic environment. A lot of people hate PD... I do not, I RP with them more than most in game... but I believe they need to be checked.

A: Name change would be PG however not having the ability to expunge records, argue legality, and so on would also be horrible PG... this means if an officer doesnt like you, he/she can permenantly cripple your character with no legal recourse as has happened to quite a few people already. The policy is in fact CK or nothing.. even though a crime committed so many years ago would be able to be expunged by state law in almost every state, definitely in California, the whole thing is "selective realism" its "reality" to deny a gun crime by knowing a person's forum name because "cops wouldnt fall for a name change" but it is "too much" to consider somone has speant over a month without a single crime in the game and should be eligible or a charge removal... charge expunging exists for the exact reason it is needed in this server, because you can cripple somone for life over 1 thing and never give them a chance to change. I think anyone should be able to create an organization, it should just go through an approval method like the government. Criminals would have shell companies and organizations, and legal people would have the ability to create a group for their personal business. It could also require a cost to apply making the government some tax money at the same time.

Yea I think its just unecessary, cops do use bobby pins, but even IRL cops don't have instant access to vehicles they use locksmiths... and you RP bobbypins the same as everyone else.... just seems like a bunch of addition for a minor thing.
