  1. The suggestions he posed mimic what already exists, cheaper tickets and fines exists, cheaper parking, the only difference is they recently took away the largest benefit which was citybee mopeds and that is fine but I imagine they should have added something at the same time +1
  2. +1 this probably needed to be adjusted before the max exodus of licenses.
  3. I agree lightly with this statement, overall a strong update, but right now you have zetas and irish running around with aks and no gun license pulling on everyone... now they have little threat of death in any scenario. I hope at least they work on the distribution and acquiring systems for illegal guns, because as of right now the gun license system will just be a helping hand to the strangelhold of large gangs. I am all for the challenge, and I feel gun licenses should have always been harder to get, but the only way to implement this change properly is to wipe every gun from the server with the update, but there are some big gangs that would cry foul play if that happened. Either way thank you for your hard work eclipse staff
  4. No, it does not. That is also not what this is about. I have tested this time and again. There are a couple of outfits that don't go back on together, and this would be a valuable addition to robberies, because police would be more justified in looking at clothing.
  5. Currently putting aside crashes, server restarts are very detrimental. If you have a bag out it will dissapear, if you have a car out it could be scattered to the wind or rolled back... and because of this, last night I saw a lot of metagaming where 4 men with shotguns were camping the car park waiting for people to park their cars 15 minutes before restart and again afterwards. That brings me to my suggestion, during a 15 minute restart, either make the car parking lot a temporary NCZ, or better would be, return all vehicles to mors insurance for free collection after the restart. I have seen admins return cars to mors for free so I know that the ability exists, just add it to a server wide cleanup. Thoughts?
  6. The other day I was pulled over based on clothing in relationship to a robbery, now the clerk had not seen us and was threatened so we got away, but they made note at one point that clothing would be the same. I thought, we should be switching clothing, but when I tried I found it buggy because certain shirts and stuff dont work with others, and I have found at least 4 outfits that can't be put on without rebuying a shirt... I think clothing presets would be a really nice addition to the RP of criminal activity.
  7. Its only disruptive when it is literally every time I leave the bank... it is not fun to be borderline harassed. I enjoy the fun of torture and crime and fighting RP, but most of the time these robberies come down to shouting shut the fuck up and get down, then me waiting 10 minutes while they cycle through every possible route to get the radio frequency, which should not exist, and then meeting at the bank to change said frequency because everyone knows we have to change it the second a person is robbed because its basically the most annoying part of a robbery... and least realistic. I mean some seem to like it, so I can't argue with their opinion, but my suggestion was to make radio frequencies ignored as part of the game, because I just don't find them to be fun or realistic... Spy, hide in the bushes, infiltrate, beat information out of me, but this radio frequency thing is a lazy bunch of cop out and anyone who imagines otherwise is probably the ones asking for it.
  8. but it is such an unrealistic part of the game... this would never exist in real life, and today the group I am with was basically harassed, robbed exactly 14 times, asked for torture rp, all for a communication channel that doesnt even exist irl...
  9. Burner phones can connect to encrypted voip networks on the dark web, and can most certainly sustain conversations across many people, source: I used this when I was doing stuff in college... the action is realistic because the radios are unrealistic... fingerprinting is not PG because it exists... also I called it failRP... because it is using a mechanic of the game as a crutch to support things that could be done in game through other means. It is tacky and I am just voicing a suggestion. To believe any criminal enterprise would use a radio frequency like this is just... so silly...
  10. The suggestion is to make the radio frequency "stealing" nonRP as it is obviously outside a real life scenario, and used for warfare and not role play.... It shouldnt exist in the first place... and like I said it is currently being used to an extreme by certain factions to engage in overwhelmingly shitty rp, 90% of our engagements involve being held up everywhere all over town (of course this is not unrealistic and stealing I understand) and then dug at for a frequency that shouldnt exist. It just doesnt feel real and it doesnt add anything to the world really, and almost every time it happens the outcome is one of two things, an annoying in game mechanic where we reset our frequencies, or a long drawn out ruling process where the moderators have to come rule on wether or not they are harassing the person for their frequency... Let me remind everyone hear, fearRP is making sure you put a reasonable value on your life, why would anyone give up a code (wether or not it should even exist, which it shouldnt) if they knew they would be killed for it... and we are made not to lie about it because the RP for it often looks like this *gets shot* assailant borderline dming runs to body and /me takes radio and looks at screen and then expecting us to not lie in /do. We can't use /do to lie, but there is abuse of the system to try and get a "warfare" advantage on people they would commonly just have to track down or have eyes on the street for. It is tacky and lazy and annoying and I have yet to feel like the support of radio frequency stealing on either side has added to the role play experience. So I basically want it excluded from RP. I am curious to see how others feel about this situation. Has being held up 20 times a day, usually in hugely public places, clothing stores, outside the bank, places where the police would respond if the population was enough to call the police... and then pushed into giving a frequency to a person and having to change it 4 minutes later, interrupting RP from everyone, improving your gaming or role playing experience. Being robbed doesnt feel good, but it shouldnt, being robbed for a frequency feels lame and immersion breaking. I can understand role playing making them use their phone to call their boss for ransom or something, but the radio thing is just... come on... thoughts? (Also sorry about the long windedness, I forget where I am in long explinations sometimes, I hope I made it clear how I feel and what I would like to see done)
  11. Isn't this sort of a fish hook then? Banning is frequent for non RP and fear RP... so what if you believe the situation is RP because you have good justification and the moderator+ rules in favor of the other party, now you have a record and a ban for something that as you said is "extremely situational" and "deliberately vague". This just feels like an excuse for abuse.
  12. Recently I joined a smaller gang, but there is a larger, overwhelming alliance of factions that play to win more than RP.... but hyperbole aside, I want to talk about radios. This faction spends their time hunting and digging for the radio frequency and it is just a nuisance, rather than an actual role play point. This sort of situation is honestly just really immersion breaking, and super distracting from real play... because we all have to reconvene and check our radios and put them in a new frequency. Let me ask you something, why do we have 50000 dollar dark web utilizing laptops, but hardcore criminal enterprises use wide ban walkie talkie radios to communicate? What possible sense does that make. My suggestion is that role playing the radio frequency is in every way considered PG because lets be honest, the only reason these walkie talkie type radios event exist is because ragemp and eclipse do not have the functions of actual encrypted burner phones... and other bounced covert communication devices... it seems like lazy at best to stand on wide ban frequencies and then have them hunted full time to no end other than annoying a group of people. To put this in perspective, this large alliance of people attacked groups of our smaller organization a total of 13 times in 2 days trying to power game us into giving frequencies that we had to fight with them about in RP. I think role playing not giving up the frequency is interesting, but it has just become a point of power gaming that goes un-noticed and un-answered.
  13. +1 This rule seems silly, advantages or not... the whole idea of fear role play is executed very poorly in my opinion. First of all fear role play is fight or flight, but for whatever reason every person is expected to cower, which I totally agree with in MANY situations, but also not many others... if I am in a car and I have a gun why wouldn't I pull it when the car stalled, if my car is bulletproof glass why wouldn't they have to fire a gun 7 times or so in order to break through that glass. Right now armored cars can be held up with empty guns which is so immersion breaking it is ridiculous... yes sir, let me move from my safe armored vehicle and not call for help and give you everything I have before even seeing you fire the gun one time?
  14. I agree, the ruling on this is abused by a certain well known group... it would be nice if it was made blatantly obvious that running into a store that is being robbed is asking to get shot and therefore not fear rp.
  15. Good to finally see someone challenging the overgrown collection of gangs the zetas use to strangle the community. This is going to be fun to RP.
  16. But he said speeding in a STOLEN vehicle with a mask on, if you steal a vehicle you have a pretty good reason to wear a mask, and it is just bad RP to get a ticket and a text when you are in no identifiable vehicle, with your face covered. If you strap the fine to the car, like in real life, you have to implement reporting stolen vehicles, or a way to argue tickets, and if you have it like it is now, it makes no sense, because if you can't see the face, how do you know who is speeding, much less their phone number to text them. I am not sure what suggestion works, but tickets really should be a priority work, and the system being automated makes it very punishing to have the cruise control system bug, which it does frequently. I did the math from my last 48 hours, 16000 in speeding tickets, despite cruise control being on but it decided to fall off on its own. I think the best would be cumulative jail time for the total amount of the tickets, similar to work value so like 10k per hour irl, and it must be in game live time, no sleeping off tickets. Done and Done, fair, but reasonable.
