    Tattoo Removal

+1 How this doesnt exist, or at least the ability to fully clear tattoos is beyond me... what if you character kill?
  2. He cannot post examples here the quiz is strictly confidential... I am sure you can understand why.
  3. The people who play police and the rest of the server are probably not going to agree on this and that is okay so Ill make this my final post because I don't think I am changing any of your minds and you aren't changing the minds of the people who +1ed this... it is a polarizing issue and I don't want it to turn into bad blood. Here is the thing, I get that you have IA, but if you are not abusing this by ramming your car up against the wall or running into the store while people are still holding a gun at the clerk, this wouldn't affect your negatively because you are not one of the "bad apples" I keep hearing about. My suggestion and my feeling is that its not cool that cops get to police their OOC behavior while the rest of the server is bound by a rule that negatively affects their actions. So with that aside I will state that I think it would be to the benefit of the server to have certain things changed OOC to correct some of the "bad apples" so there is no reason to put the responsibility in the hands of those it may benefit and keep temptation aside, as all other factions have policies too, but certain things should be server rules. Right now there is a rule that makes the NPC not considered a life, I am not saying remove it, I am saying expand upon it and make him not usable as a hostage, but still valued so cops have to wait for the gun to be off of the clerk. I also insist that ramming your car against any door in this server is powergaming unless you have enough squad cars to cover the back door as well, because you are using the fact that you know the back doors do not open as a game advantage to achieve the game you want. Whatever may come from this I want the police to know I do value them the same as any other and respect that they do so much to police their in game behaviors, but I think this is an OOC problem that can be handled with OOC solutions that can only negatively affect abuse. Thank you guys Edit: can we please get this moved to suggestions where I intended it to be q.q Edit: Remember this suggestion had nothing to do with, and actively discourages conversation of cops weaponry or funding, this suggestion is strictly about the interactions of cops at robberies and how they can be improved.
  4. How many have been banned from the server? Edit: Also can we get this topic moved to suggestions because I don't want people to think its anything but. I am not trying to raise an army or start a war, just suggest something I think would make the server better, by starting with what I see which is making police follow a different standard of server rules not just their IA. Respect NPC life... and encourage more interactions and less shooting, because I feel the current way things are done only encourage people to bring lots of guns and kill the police which I think is equally boring and trashy as the police blocking doors and ignoring the NPC... All of it needs to be held to a firmer server rule in my opinion because I want this to be more fun...
  5. I did report it to IA and what I am saying is IA do not issue server bans and therefore the punishments for game breaking and role play ruining actions are taken lightly even at their worst. If you look through this post everyone says this should be a discussion EXCEPT the police.... because everyone knows how little role play you can expect from an actual police arrest. I just think this should be demanded and enforced through server rules like everything else, and not kept in house because it is a server problem and a mechanical problem. Not an IA thing. It is not police behavior, it is the rules of the server OOC enforcing these actions by making the NPCS considered a non factor. Also as mentioned several IA reports are still pending and I can bet my soul no policy or game changing actions will come of it, at worst an officer might get talked to, that is not sufficient to solve the over-arching problem of the robbery experience. We are expected to role play in detail with an NPC for 15 minutes because new things just keep popping up, fingerprints cctv that should be closed circuit now backs up to a cloud making it definitely not cctv, the NPC can identify us.... funny he can be used to identify people when he is not considered a life by the server rules. He can't defend himself until the police need a win... but we do it, we do it all, cover every base, form a plan for escape, and in a moment it is shattered because we dont have functioning windows or back doors and police are allowed to ignore the NPC as a life and also shove their car against the only functioning exit....
  6. Now you are seeing it as a nerf, more proof of the win lose mentality. I just want a more realistic and engaging experience by making the NPC life matter and forcing proper engagement for 1 officer on 3 people. He would call backup, set up a perimeter, identify and respond accordingly. In GTA stores only have 1 door so blocking the exit aside from being unrealistic is game mechanic abuse, on top of that I want police to respond in accordance to the life at stake, and my suggestion does not even point to them being hostages, it is just that police should not engage a target while they have a gun pointed at a person's head. It does happen and real life and it makes the whole police chase/negotiation phase trash because its just an officer saying I am going to shoot you when you come out if you dont completely surrender right now even though you have the advantage of a life they are supposed to be duty bound to protect.
  7. See this is exactly the mentality I am talking about. You see it as a way to win, that you SHOULD be victorious by ANY means necessary without thinking about RP. Ultimately an hour in jail and some cash doesnt affect me, but let me ask you something, how does a get away drive change them blocking the door? If you can't get to the getaway driver, it serves no purpose.... and let me remind you that you just admitted I am robbing SOMONE, not an NPC, that is what I am trying to change, right now police see people robbing a store, not robbing a person, and somebody else said "npcs can't fight back so they shouldnt be considered" I am sorry but on this server when you have a gun to your head everyone can't fight back BY SERVER RULES. So if this is the case why do the police not have rules outside of their own IC policies that dictate behavior. I appreciate the IA and the codes and ethics they try to put in place but many police ignore them because they have no recourse for those actions...
  8. I did post this in suggestions and for some reason unknown to me it was moved here. If you note everyone in the post was commenting, +1 that is because the original location for this post was suggestions, right next to my post for clothing presets... In fact it would be nice if a moderator could get this moved back to the previous location... It has been reported to LSPD IA which sends a private message, I myself posted one recently and haven't gotten a response in about a week, but ill give it a couple days, the other two I am talking about were posted nearly a month ago. So no I don't trust your IA to take care of this, it should be a server rule like all of the things criminals have to adhere to or face discipline in the form of an admin log...
  9. You may not have been paying attention for the entire post but my argument is that it should work both ways. I should not have to wait for an admin to be online and available to RP a hostage when all I want is for cops to not shove their cars against the only viable game exit and shoot into the building. Do I think criminals do it better? No, god criminal RP is so horrible most of the time, but I personally do all I am supposed to. I rp gearing up, the plans, I rp taking the wallet and talking to him about his family, yes I do advanced RP with the NPC because we are robbing him, and yes cops should be expected to honor that commitment. Also are you really going to say that the police should not be held to a higher standard? Look I imagine as an officer you have many complaints for criminals, from my side I don't see it so that is something you would make your own suggestion about and come up with possible solutions, but this is a discussion and suggestion I raised about how MANY(not all)cops ruin the realism of MY personal RP scenarios and a suggestion on possible fixes, none of which require that much movement on the part of the police, I don't think waiting for the robbers to leave the building is a huge ask... I dont think calling for a little respect for the NPC's life that I have been role playing with for the past 15 minutes before the cop showed up is too much to ask, and I certainly don't think that having an open discussion without it being considered "ironic" because you do not agree is too much to ask. I appreciate your input but a if you want to compare a cop arresting somone and their friend smashing into you with a car... you can report it to support and they face a ban... which you cannot do for a cop because the rules currently enforce their behavior by making the NPC ignored as a life.
  10. I truly appreciate that you believe this can be fixed by your in game policies, however is is a common and recurring problem that is so bad mentioning it at the bank in ooc would yield waves of people sharing their abuse experiences that can be fixed with server rule changes more efficiently. This has been reported many times to no avail and while your faith in the system is admirable it is a bit ridiculous to expect an entire community to share your trust. I see a problem with the way police (and criminals) approach npc life and the way the legalities of door scripting work and offered alternatives, you are free to offer an opinion but my suggestion remains that this should be handled with a modification to server rules to make certain things more realistic for all players. Thank you for your input though. Edit: Note that I never said anything about guns or money, and have actively discouraged this kind of suggestion as it leans towards more shooting, I think police and criminals should more commonly be discussing things before the chase begins as a life hangs in the balance and current rules do not respect them as such.
  11. Because it is not the incident, I am attempting to change something I see wrong. I am not even a big robbery guy, this barely affects me but I see a problem that took what could have been a fun and interesting role play session with the police and turned into borderline dming because they pushed the limits of what is allowed. I believe it needs to be discussed... npcs can't be used as hostages, I agree that would get nasty, but the police should also have to respect them as lives and keep a distance until they know the gun is off the victim, NPC or otherwise. This isn't an attack defense post, it is a suggestion, where I ask for a change I think would help the server and plead with police and criminals alike to work on this...
  12. There is some fairness in this, PD does obey more than the server rules, but they are also emboldened by the server rules, they are intentionally given the option to nonrp because they dont count the NPC as a living being but as a criminal we have to role play cctv(closed circuit television) being backed up to a cloud.... gloves, changing clothes when clothing costs money because it is buggy, and we are restricted by the pacing of the money. I agree there are a great number of criminals that play to win and I hate it, but that is a fight I don't know if I can fix... there are too many of them and the largest offenders refuse to admit culpability. The PD is play to win and corrupt.... sorry if you believe otherwise but you are not the only member of the PD and it is not my "bad experience" it is every experience, and the experience of others, hence the many many many comments on this page. This is not about making the police weaker by hurting their gear, police having good cars vests and guns is to me 100% normal, they should... letting them ignore lives and approach every robbery like they are rambo I do not agree with. I will see how this IA report goes but this should be a discussion and I think we could all agree on that. Blocking doors and ignoring lives? Does that enrich roleplay for anyone?
  13. Police are there to protect and serve, they do not have to protect lives over their own, but that is not what is happening. They are literally recklessly endangering the lives of the store clerk and are allowed to do so by rule which has become an overwhelming source of powergaming. Again your experience might be different, but blocking the exit with a car so you can easily kill the people inside is so far beyond non rp it drives me crazy, it breaks so many rules of reality for police, and it is not uncommon. I filed an IA report that has yet to be addressed on a video I took of a cop blocking 3 people into a building and hiding around the corner telling them to drop weapons and come out. Now I understand drop the weapons and come out, but when you have another life on the line you need to respect the potential hostage... or at least the RP of their potentially being one if the criminals call it out. Now after saying that, it gets worse because we cannot get out of the building because his car is in front of the only real exit to the building, and I ask him to move it because we cant get out and he says he wont ooc at this point because its a problem that doesnt exist irl. So once we get the door open enough to get ontop of the car he says hands while we are trying to crouch jump over his car to get out of the building and begins firing his gun killing two of us, the third made it out to put up his hands but lets be honest, does this seem fair or honest gameplay to you. He even snarked that I should remember to tag pistol pete on the report because he knows he wont be punished for his actions, and when the ambulance show up in ooc they said they had similar problems because the cops have no accountability which is why they became a paramedic, cops kill more than they arrest. The fact that every criminal easily survives every encounter because of the stabilizing and rescue RP makes it worse because getting shot in the back 4-5 times doesnt even afford you death after being treated unfairly with next to no role play. I get what you are saying, some people want cops to drop guns or make cops less powerful in their armor or have to buy stuff... I just think having them adhere to a little more role play like in my suggestions is a better source of entertainment for both sides, and the only pushback so far has been from the police.
  14. Yea but right now cops manage to get to the scene despite the power being cut and the owner being held at gunpoint face down on the ground, it also takes 15 minutes to empty a godamned register because it is made to ENCOURAGE the interactions between police and criminals to encourage chases and negotiations, but right now the cops all play to win and trust me I have video of the paramedics showing up and saying it is relatively common for police to show up guns blazing and block exits quietly to get the quick score. They have no accountability and because of that they run wild and are the most dangerous gang on the server... not a policing force.
  15. I think you have a massive disillusion about what happens when crimes are committed in the US... how much cops do you watch to imagine that the good guys always win? To put this in perspective in 2017 there were over 300000 armed robberies in the US... and according to the NJRS webpage only 1 in 4 of these is solved. That means the cops should lose roughly 75% of the time... the cops are op, they make the game not fun, and they are using unrealistic tactics and we should appreciate what that means and adjust accordingly.
  16. Firstly if they are not a native English speaker and their application gives a false narrative they are going to fail either way as good English is part of role playing on an English RP server... and as far as the variables taken into account, I am sure you can understand but the methods and rubric for applications are policy and therefore cannot be shared. Application time of 3 weeks is a lot of time, however the number of applications we get are a lot of applications. Please understand that the fact that the door is even still open is a miracle with the twitch rush...
  17. I want to focus less on killing looting and winning, and more just on the practical role play. What about car chases... you know how many car chases happen in Eclipse? not a whole lot... if any because of this sort of kill and get the loot mentality.... it just sucks, because I don't mind being caught, but I am not being caught I am being overpowered without a chance for a chase....
  18. I am going to -1 this. As a member of the quiz team I see a lot of different things and take into account a lot of different variables to make sure the kind of people we see on the server are going to contribute to a healthy role play system. There is no rapid fire quiz that can replace a human mind really and ultimately it is not needed. The huge rush of applications totally drowned the team at first but as they added more of us to the team we are really getting through them quick. Please trust us to do a good job and know that there is a good reason it takes so long.
  19. The forum just bugged and posted this like a bunch of times, can I get a mod to help me and delete the extras?
  20. Some answers to what you said, "Most crime doesn't require you to have a gun though." Is not true, being an officer you probably don't know this but there are no jobs that can be done without a firearm because they all require you to lock down and hold a location or just be robbed by the mega-3 alliance... "Then they can rob the other gangs or attempt to become official. " How exactly do you rob 7 zeta cars packed with AKs when you have to pay 5 hours of work to get a pistol? "As is intended. This isn't a win or lose server, that's the roleplay. Sometimes you just lose." I agree, though the system definitely needs a little less "everyone else loses" I totally agree with the new changes, but a few things should happen, right now importing can only be done by official factions and inside that there is an EXTREMELY limited amount of ammo and guns available... we need to be able to order more small arms if factions are meant to be the new illegal distribution centers... Also faction system currently doesnt allow a person to spend their own money so most factions won't allow their members to access the firearms buying because they are scared people will scam the treasury (despite it being against the rules)... basically the system needs some work... though I dont think the old system was good at all... so lets not pretend what is currently happening is okay.

    Legal job tier

You have obviously never been a criminal, or you are a zeta haha.... I work a drug lab risking death and money loss, as well as being robbed and my vehicle being chopped, for roughly 8k an hour you have to split with the people working with you... chopping is not sustainable and actually just gets you killed cause zetas try to tax the only profit and they are shoot first ask questions later... and robbing stores used to be good until officers figured out they could abuse game mechanics and just shove up against a door to arrest 4 people as 1 officer for easy money.... All that aside +1 for promotions in jobs, I want trucking to be worth it.... Also +1 to criminal jobs that don't require a single location like robbing cars or theft in houses so every job isnt limited to the color blue...
  22. So what do I do if I was shot many times intentionally with an assault rifle without ever having a firearm or threatening the officer outside of trying to get out of a blocked door? This wants a badge number but I couldn't ask for the badge number... also the car ran up without lights or sirens, you say it only happens in a specific code, but in the 4 times ive had police show up to a robbery, every single time has been the "ghost" attempt... you may believe that the PD is full of like minded individuals but most of your department is just looking to win for money... I will try to make this report but I bet you my good name that it won't equate to anything, the PD in game is as corrupt if not more so than the one IRL one and I believe one of the only way to change it is if the server rules begin to reflect the policies you say your officers are supposed to follow. The only enjoyable role play I have ever had with an officer has been when I was getting checked into jail, because he took me role playing seriously instead of the shoot first mentality of the beat cops... I will also note after going to the government forums that the IA report forms are convoluted to the point that almost nobody is going to report offense because the regulations and processes far surpass filling out a form with evidence, it needs a format a special forum account, a bunch of information you actually have to obtain from an officer while the officer is offending which seems contradictory...
  23. I think they have open minds and if we don't start somewhere how will anything get better
  24. Just weighing in an opinion on what I think could be good for the server. I see we disagree and that is fine
  25. I am not sure if I am the only one who feels this way but it kills the fun of the game to have police be so weighted by the rules. They do not have to value lives like cops, they don't have to protect like cops, honestly they are just a government funded gang. I agree there needs to be restrictions empowering the police because they need to get a second player catch-up, but also recently the cop tactics are to go to an armed robbery and run up with no lights or sirens on despite running red lights, and smash into the door of the store locking it in place which is already infuriating because it is unrealistic and feels helpless. Then we have the problem of hostages, right now the cashiers are not considered a life... criminals talk to them, they are allowed to be used to identify us, but the police can barge into 4 armed gunmen with no value for the life. I imagine some restrictions need to happen, them used to make demands can be overwhelming and a nuisance but maybe they should have to wait until the gunmen leave the store to charge with weapons and cars? It has just become too much rule play and trying to win, I see so often police telling us ((its allowed)) without ever even considering, is this fun? No car chases? No speaking or engagement with the police or hostages... the whole situation just needs a second look in my opinion. A couple of my suggestions are: Make the police value life, but make consequences for using a hostage higher... possibly by making them form a perimeter instead of just running in. Make blocking doors explicitly against the rule, we all know that windows and back doors don't work in this game so it is cheese to have it otherwise. Make police have to make two or three explicit warnings before firing, right now they see a person run when they don't have a gun on them and they pull out guns and start shooting like IA wouldn't murder them for that... Lastly and this is not a rule restructure it is on us the players, lets remember the game isn't about amassing wealth and winning, it is about having fun and funny and interesting role play experiences, lets stop trying to do the minimum and make the role play better together
