  1. https://i.gyazo.com/5a5d922db1f3b37b295b440477d6533e.jpg Bringing a sniper rifle to a store robbery is unrealistic. Script limitation please. A .50 cal sniper weighs 30 kg's. They should only be taken out and equipped when there's a tactical need for one. A SWAT van is also unrealistic for responding to a store robbery, but that's another issue.
  2. Yeah it's an actual joke. The time to craft the things is another problem.
  3. Drug labs, obviously, were a major part of criminal RP. They are the main way criminals and gangs made money and encountered one another. With the addition of tables inside of houses, and the removal of resources tables at the community drug labs, what's the point of cooking at a community drug lab? All of this previous criminal RP has just been removed from the server. There's no reason for people to group up at community drug labs anymore and start a cook, it's an unnecessary risk when you can just do it by yourself in your house. All of the RP of people meeting other criminals, attacking other criminals, robbing other criminals has also been removed from the server. With the removal of this, there's really not much to do criminal wise anymore, so I believe the community drug labs should be reverted to back how they were. The only things are chop shop (which is pretty bad money), and robbing stores (which is also pretty bad money). Criminals are supposed to be high risk high reward. With this update, there's nothing high reward anymore, only high risk. The option for people to buy materials and cook at their own house with low risk but lower reward because they have to pay for the materials is fine. But the option should be there for high risk high reward.
  4. With the addition of boltcutters this rule should be changed from Stash spots of houses must be accessible and not blocked by the player built structures To Stash spots of houses must be accessible and not blocked by the player built structures excluding doors and gates.
  5. "Hey guys what limit should we set max speed to?" "Uhh what is the max speed of PD crown victoria cars?" "That'll do" Crown Victoria going same speed as 811 super car. Logical.
  6. It should not be allowed anywhere. This is not PD vs Crim. This is a server wide script limitation. It makes no roleplay sense for anyone. Even having 2 heavies on you such as an AK and a shotgun is highly unrealistic. Maybe having a shotgun in a car while carrying a M4 in your hands would be realistic. You guys don't understand how bulky long guns are IRL. It would be impossible to have the flexibility and maneuverability that people show whilst doing it. I mean if I had a dollar for every time I've seen somebody combat roll with a heavy on their back I'd be a millionaire. You simply can't sprint as fast and people do, nor can you maneuver as good as people do when you have both of your hands occupied and you have a heavy weapon (or multiple) slung on your back. A micro is not a replacement for a pistol. A pistol, even a .50, is MUCH more compact than a micro SMG. Have you ever seen a holster for a Micro SMG? No, they don't exist.
  7. A micro is a pistol replacement. Yea doesn't look like your internal rules are very roleplay so I'd rather a script limitation.
  8. Limit the number of guns you can equip at the same time to a 1 pistol and 1 heavy weapon. Also include all of the other duty equipment police have of course (nightstick, tazer, flashlight, etc). But it should be restricted to a pistol (.50, Heavy Pistol, SNS, etc) and a heavy weapon (AK, Shotgun, Micro, SMG, etc). This should apply to everyone and be a script limitation. The reasoning for this is I often see police officers equipping every gun they are allowed to equip which is highly non-rp. When have you ever seen an officer IRL with more than his duty belt, his pistol, and possibly 1 heavy weapon if the situation is dire. We have some people carrying sniper rifles, SMG's, Micro's, M4's, Pistols, Tazers, Shotguns, ALL AT THE SAME TIME while additionally wearing 50 kg worth of armor. It makes literally 0 roleplay sense for this to be a thing. You would not be able to even walk let alone sprint like I see on a daily basis. Unless it's changed scriptly it will continue to happen.
  9. With the way of getting illegal weapons being removed (laptops), the pros of being an official faction (HQ, /f chat, treasury) are barely enough to cover the cons. If you're going to remove all of our heavy weaponry and force us to fight 80 PD / SD who have helicopters, M4's, full armor, bulletproof vans, teamspeak, GPS tracking for pursuits with just .50 Pistols, the only way to have a shot is have numbers and ally with other gangs. IMO this hurts the quality of RP as major gangs should not have to all be allied with each other to survive, there should be occasional feuds. But at this point we can't afford to fight other major gangs because PD is just stupid overpowered especially with a crim faction cap and now only having .50's. Any of the following would help to solve this: 1. Add laptops back 2. Cap PD / SD 3. Uncap illegal factions I don't think capping is the answer given the growing number of players. At peak times the server is full at 500+ players. These cap numbers were created when we usually had 350 or so players at peak time.
  10. Although not all combat logging is when the people are injured, we could make it so that if somebody disconnects while injured it kills them and leaves a body for people to loot from? Would help the situation a bit.
  11. Here's an idea. Mexican cartel (admins) advise all of the gang leaders that a rival cartel is transporting a shipment containing X (could be cash, guns, drugs, etc) at a certain time and location. Offer the gangs a portion of the shipment if they are able to successfully intercept the transport, taking out the guards of the cargo, and other rival gangs who would also be trying to intercept the cargo. Or if you wanted to instead not introduce new items in the game for free, you could offer the ability for the gang who accomplishes the missions exclusive access to the laptop for a certain amount of time as a token of gratitude for helping the cartel.
  12. If all cars includes the retro I'm in.
  13. Make the tax system actually fund MD and PD (Or at least PD). Allow a mayor to create a budget for these government factions. The money we pay from selling houses, cars, and income tax goes directly to those budgets. Allow the police chief or police commissioner to buy a supply of weapons and cars. This is the idea I wish we always did. Obviously it requires a lot more in depth thought to do it correctly, but that's the gist of it.
  14. Rulebreaking is an OOC matter. You don't need to RP recording if you are only using it for OOC purposes (reporting players). If you wanted to do like an undercover sting for the police or something, then you would have to RP using a recording device. In general you should record everything and then when a rulebreak happens save your footage and cut out that incident.
  15. +1 I personally just login a couple times a month now if even because I'm afraid that I might accidentally break a rule (especially since I took a break and all the rules / how they're applied aren't in the forefront of my mind as they were when I played hours a day). So because I have year old punishments (most from my first few months learning how to play) I'm on non-rp #5 and dm #1. Not really trying to login just accidentally do something stupid and get perm banned and lose all my crap. I think if your punishment system fears players into logging into the server there's something wrong. This has been recommended before but was denied, hopefully because there's a lot of community support something will change.
  16. -1. Permanent bans are given out like candy. Perhaps if the punishment system was changed so that your offenses drop off after a while it would be something to consider (because that would mean they're breaking a lot of rules in a very short period of time), but something where you have a permanent record this makes no sense. Just killing 2 people outside of the rules, even if it was over the course of 2 years, on ECRP that warrants a permanent ban. There are a lot of notable people who have been permanently banned who would've left the server if your suggestion was implemented and it would've hurt the server if they did so.
  17. -1, it is very rare to be able to get stuff 150k+. And usually when you did you spent a lot of time and effort planning it out.
  18. Date and time (provide timezone): 12/28/19 Character name: Jason Malgotti Issue/bug you are reporting: The command to stop pick locking is not found. Expected behavior: Should end your picklocking action Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Start a picklock then type the command to see it fail. Vehicle license plate number*:
  19. Date and time (provide timezone): 12/28/19 Character name: Jason Malgotti Issue/bug you are reporting: Unable to use cell phone while chopping car Expected behavior: You should be able to use your phone while your chopping car Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Try to open up your phone while you're chopping. You get error You are unable to (de)activate your phone! REASON: ACTION TIMER IS ACTIVE! Vehicle license plate number*:
  20. Add a "Bandage" item to the general store. Allow it to heal the remaining 20% or so of HP that food & water does not heal. Put like a 15-20 second action timer on it so it's not used during combat situations. This will fix your "painkiller pls" problem. It's just annoying for us having to wait at the hospital to bother a medic just so that we can heal that extra 20% hp. You can see previous suggestion:
  21. There is an option on the government website for the officers to fill out an Arrest report. These go into details about the charges and why they were placed. They are currently optional.
  22. +1 you should be able to toggle accessories and have them put in your inventory.
  23. -1. The amount of time it takes for a car IRL to decay to the point of having to get serious work done is 3-5 years. By the time this would happen in game, we would've already gone to the mechanic for a popped tire or smoking engine. Don't think it's worth the time for the developer to create this their time would be better spent elsewhere.
