Hey @Adam_Fax. When you hover over the trunk, like when you get it to open, there's some words that pop up in the UI, one of them being OPEN, and one of them being SEARCH. Once you are looking at it, like when you opened it, use your mouse wheel to scroll through the options, until SEARCH is highlighted, then press E.

Cooling hot materials quickly causes thermal shock. I wouldn't throw a hot gun into the ocean.

Re-introducing the ability to talk over radio while injured
alexalex303 replied to MrSix's topic in Archive
I for one think that this change made shootouts much more realistic, and you will no longer hear ten voices gravely injured giving verbal aid and instructions to their still fighting teammates. The previous way of things made it seem more like a TDM Lobby than a roleplay server. The victims are now left to call 911, and roleplay injuries, as they should've been. -1 -
This is not a bug but the way the system was scripted. Similar bug reports were rejected before.

I think this is a good compromise between all or nothing for official factions. I'd even include some basic weapons, as long as the cooldown is long enough, and if they're priced considerably more than the official faction imports. This should be a way to break a monopoly, but not a viable alternative for everyone to get easy access to guns.

I've already encountered your emissaries in-game and it's been very authentic. Looking forward to seeing more from you.

I think that we also forgot a lot of the negatives that came with the old drug labs. There were people that used to go around calling 911 on every drug lab to spite criminals. There were people that would bring cops to the drug labs. These were people accused of metagaming their location, not following rules, etc. All in all, they brought a lot of complaints that all stemmed from the fact that most people knew OOCly, where they were, because they were permanent. I think a better alternative would be a new drug table type and material generating barrels, they would function similar to the old drug lab. It would have to be placed somewhere outside (not in an interior), and it would require a decent amount of money + setup (maybe it wouldn't produce any materials unless you had X barrels, and X tables, and you can not pick them up.). But the idea would be that official factions could setup their own semi-permanent drug labs. That way you would control who has access to it, and therefore who could potentially leak it. You could even sell access to it to gangs that do not have access to them, or using them yourself. A lot more possibilities, without all the negatives of a permanent static location.

I think that there is no benefit to having XP in the player list, as new players are clearly outlined, and everyone else's XP is irrelevant for most people. Staff have other ways of obtaining a player's XP. Therefore, I see no negatives with this. +1

This has been reported before. It's because you searched his body with the UI. If you use /frisk instead, his weapons will appear. Notice that the equipped weapons tab is missing from your video.

Pointing a taser in the context of a suspect resisting arrest is very realistic.

Cops performing VERY nonRP Pits and ramming And Getting Away With It
alexalex303 replied to justpositivity's topic in Archive
If you were involved directly in the situation, and it's not older than 2 days, you are free to post a player report if you feel that a rule was broken. @justpositivity. I fail to see how this is a suggestion, when there is no prescription offered. -
A month or so later and you're still at it, with the quality of the posts going only up. Great job, enjoyed the last few posts.

You don't need script support for any of those suggestions. The only thing the casino has over any other player run business is a custom NCZ. Everything else is done via commands available to everyone (/dice), drinks are dropped, etc. With the player rules surrounding public robberies, I'd argue that you don't even need an NCZ at large events like that. Zetas operated the Tavern for months, without any script support. They bought drinks and foods, provided security, a schedule and people kept coming every week. They made a good amount of money too. There is a pretty large amount of properties like that available, and some are for sale every time. It just comes down to you being willing to put in the time and work into it. I've opened the WCA club before, and I can tell you that it takes a good amount of work, which is why you see most events being run once a week, and not daily. But it can be both profitable and great RP, if you follow through with it.

Since attachments now sync properly, even on backs, they've made scenarios that much more immersive. I'd like to see law enforcement attachments, especially flashlights.

Adding the government website onto the phone
alexalex303 replied to Kazjii's topic in Implemented Suggestions
It would be very nice, especially for new players that are seeking a gun license and can't find the government website. -
I don't see why you would get to eat your cake and have it too. If you carry a gun that is meant to show on your back, it's shown. Could easily argue that hiding it with clothes is bug abusing, same as building in front of your door to hide the smoke from burning drug tables. The gun is meant to have a drawback.

Buying/selling you can do in 100% safety at high-end, or at the door. People do it with cash to avoid the tax that comes with it, therefore a risk should be there. In regards to trading, that is where the argument is the strongest, as there is no way to trade two thing at once script-wise.

interesting concept. good luck

That would actually be super nice.

With the new inventory system, that allows you to take it off, avoiding any non-combat damage to it, and choosing when to equip it (even right before a shootout), I'd say it's very balanced.
-
Just like Pump Shotguns, SMGs, Carbines and Sniper Rifles; yet those are all used by law enforcement. By that same logic, should we remove everything but pistols from law enforcement?
-
Thread does look very nice. Good luck.

It is entirely unreasonable to make it a reportable offense for anyone not in triads to wear red. If that's the bar for baiting in your books, I don't see this rule being realistic.
