Disable Thunder Weather

I'd simply like to be able to disable thunder whenever it comes up.  Its about 4x as loud as anything else in game, even with in game SFX turned down to 1/10.  I'm aware you can just turn the SFX off, but its then weird to drive around without tire noise, etc.  It also tends to lag out lower end PC's and generally annoy players who are generally stuck in it for RP reasons (Taxi's, LEOs, etc). 

There's nothing wrong with heavy rain, as it adds driving fun, but the thunder & lightning simply cause problems on an OOC level.

I will say its really loud and quite obnoxious at times when youre trying to rp and it is bellowing out there. maybe reduce the max duration of a storm so its never longer than a few mins?

- 1 i love the thunder effects and sound, yes its loud but that's good, it gives some variation, sorry you don't have a good PC man

Reducing the time it's active is nice, full support for that, but I can't agree with removing it entirely.

I actually like the storms as it really breaks up the game a lot. I think if there is a way to reduce the sound of the thunder and wind, I'd be for it, but I'd like to keep the duration the same.

+1 To reducing time/frequency. I shouldn't have to experience deafening storms of Zeus near daily but I think they do add something.

Ruining my immersion on god, especially when i cant even hear myself speaking because of all the noise that it does. We in LA man, 300 days out of 365 are dry without rain but here it rains every day for 1 hour, shake my head on god fr fr no cap reduce the timer!!!

 

P.S rain is not good for your skin.

Typical Greek opinion. Refuses to look at CNN and see that LA has been dealing with flooding for the last 2 months due to high rain. Go back to your "perfect world" over there at the bottom (nutsack) of Europe, Alex.

I love the thunder. So much so that I tend to go out and drive around in it, on or off DCC duty. I don't feel like I am stuck in it nor that it limits me. It crrates other situations, like huddling up together in a taxi or in a bus stop.

+1 what Asbo mentioned though, if the weather really really needs to get changed from thunder don't change it straight to clear weather. Or when it rains for 2 seconds before it suddenly disappears. "my immersion"
