I respect you greatly Pazz for speaking out like this but it's extremely apparent that the founders do not care enough to make these updates happen. All we get nowadays are updates made with generative AI or commissioned out to third parties, and even THOSE are rare. People still give money, so why would they? Like I've mentioned previously things only seem to move slightly when the community is so outraged you can't avoid the negative discourse on discord, forums, etc.

Nail hit right on the head but I don't think any of these problems will be resolved. There seems to be a brief effort to develop things whenever the community gets in an uproar just enough to keep them at bay, then a total halt while people still buy into VIP for some reason. Sucks to see, but oh well.

I seriously don't understand why they won't put in the 10 or so hours a month a piece to do the most basic of QoL updates. They make hundreds a month off this server, if not thousands a month. Most definitely thousands during major credit releases or sales. I personally would put in that amount of hours a month to make that amount of money, but what do I know.

This. I know people who actively despise the state of the server and yet actively encourage this behavior by still throwing hundreds and hundreds of dollars at VIP to make the game slightly easier for them. :shrug:

Where? When? How? This is literally what we've been told every time concerns are raised. Things are "still being worked on". Discussions are "still being had". Any actual pointed questions such as these ones I'm asking are ignored or dismissed outright. It is so utterly frustrating and I feel like an utterly broken record writing this but there is still some part of me that wants this server to succeed. The founders seem completely unwilling to do their share of the work in keeping the server afloat. There are people among legal factions, staff, illegal factions, civillians who put much more work into this server than the founders. By miles and miles. I don't know very many people outside of staff (or even inside staff behind closed doors.) who have anything majorly positive to say about the current state of the server or its future.

This. Any good faith has been slowly tapped away until more and more voices are left not contributing to these threads, I myself tend to see the same ten or so people on these threads consistently (including myself). It's really hard not to feel completely hung out to dry.

Before the roadmap and I believe after the poll was the QoL thread by Lewis, asking for focused feedback on 'easy' fixes. We also saw where that went.

Me when the leader of the largest legal faction on the server at one point and the current lead for DOC doesn't have faith anything discussed will be fulfilled. Remember when we were promised change, discussion, communication? Yeah.

Disable being able to consume drugs while in water.

+1 to disabling drugs, but not interaction period. NRP obviously needs more script measures against it as the players cannot be trusted to handle it themselves. -
Criminals need a place to PvP or else they try and escalate otherwise meaningless encounters into PvP.

Please no. While I don't play anymore, as someone who dealt with groups with a seemingly infinite warchest, I'm really not fond of arresting the same people for multiple felony arrests in the same day.

If I may be so blunt, people move to general as it feels the conversations on the forums go nowhere. Promises are made and not followed through on. Even the dedicated QoL thread made by Lewis went practically nowhere. (As far as I'm aware.) People want their voices heard, to matter. To actually make a dent. Founders and staff must hold up their end of the bargain when it comes to these things if they're to expect feedback to be routed through proper channels in my opinion.

A majority of the negativity that occurred last night was extremely warranted given the state of the server and people who have dedicated a lot of passion and effort to this server rightfully jaded. Do I agree with how it was gone about in every case? Not necessarily. But foregoing warnings, going straight to bans in my case or week long mutes in others with not even as much as a message is frankly ridiculous for criticizing the server. A lot of people like me wouldn't say anything if we didn't care about the server and wanted to see it improve. It feels like a poor attempt at creating a facade that everything's alright when this kind of conversation is immediately stamped out in discord without so much as a redirect to the forums like said here.

+1. Was perma-banned from the Discord for criticizing the server in what I believed to be a rather reasonable, fair manner. No message and not even a reply as to who did it on my appeal when moved. I'd appreciate more transparency.
