  10. I can't wait for epic roleplay, i can handle the payne
  11. The "solution" to this I've found is to place a wall below it so the game does not think you are falling (Ignore the red lines, this was the only example i could find)
  12. There is a chance they could have been dropped under the stairs or either side of the walls, which happens often when you drop items near walls. Before a server restart, or 24 hours from when you dropped it (whichevers sooner), try /report 2 to get a moderator+ to look behind the walls for your items.
  13. This would be neat to have, we do medical RP without our medical team division on injured inmates but there's nothing we can scriptly do for them. /dropbody would be a nice fix for that. I'd personally prefer if it only worked on inmates so injured guards can go to MD. (Which isnt an option for inmates since they teleport back) However any other solutions could also work such as mentioned above where doc guards would have a way to revive inmates with a command, which would come with OOC faction regulations pretty easily so only medically trained staff can do it otherwise it'd be powergaming. I do think it's very important to note they should still come with low HP and/or wellness to prevent them instantly getting into another fight and it being an endless cycle.

    Jail times + Fines

Sentences were actually capped in a recent update: Also comparing to xqc is not a good comparison as their focus is on entertaining thousands of people watching streams more than it is about individual enjoyment and I'm just gonna say it, more about showmanship than actual roleplay most of the time. Their prison/jail will only really have 1 or 2 people in at any given time compared to ours (obviously there's quieter times our end still though). Obviously I come from a very biased standpoint as an advocate for people doing more prison RP since I run the DOC faction but I personally wish people would utilise the prison as a way for more character development and growth instead of just "aw shucks I need to kill 2 hours". We've felt the cap a little in activity from the prison cellblock but I think the cap overall is good for the community but I don't think times need reducing more. I would also argue to some extent that reducing it more would increase the play to win mentality as it's effectively minimising the time between your "hits" and having a higher turnaround if win/loss scenarios. To quote the post linked above: Also your example of bank robbery + illegal weapon + felony evading for 3 hours, I think that's perfectly reasonable. Bank robbery is the highest level of crime you can do effectively barring mass murdering cops on top of it and I guess having lingering charges from another crime. All in all, the recent changes are enough of a change to have a positive effect in my opinion and there doesn't need to be even less time, instead I advocate people putting more effort into prison roleplay and not relying on script for all activities and be a little creative.
  15. This is actually already a thing, staff policy dictates we cannot take rule break reports that have conflict of interest. If you're below a certain staff level (Administrator) then it's actually extremely strict to ensure that it's impartially looked into. The first obvious one is that we you can not handle a report for someone who's in the same faction as you. On top if this, it can also extend to people you're close with. In fact, we're not even allowed to make suggestions on punishments when a report needs a second set of eyes. For example I can not take any reports involving DOC members (on either side) as I am a member of that faction. This even usually extends to when alt characters of someone close is reported/is reporting. If you think a staff member below Administrator rank is doing this then reach out to Aldarine or Kat the head and assistant head of player reports respectively (although I'm pretty sure they keep a very close eye on it as well as other senior staff). Tl;dr Don't take everything you hear oocly at face value

    Lethal Force

This is not true, at least in the 2 years I've been there. It's just expected people act realistic with the level of force used and heavy punishments are ICly issued for those that misuse it. But IC guidelines for DOC specifically dictate you can respond appropriately if you're getting attacked or knifed, outside of that if you draw a weapon on someone who's just chatting shit for example then it's just poor roleplay of that specific role (in general, there's obviously exceptions). That being said it's a poor comparison to compare DOC and PD/SD in this because the line is much clearer for DOC I would say as there's less situations where a decision would be difficult.

    2022 | Mass Unban?

Where would you personally draw this line?
  21. This is not the case if you read the report. In mine, the reporting party realised he misunderstood the situation and that he realised his accusations of a rule break were wrong. In the other report, the person being reported realised their mistake and seemingly potential rule break. If you don't take my conclusion half-sentence out of context you will see I also said: ...such as this one, amongst themselves where possible in a timeframe fair to the opposing side to prevent issues like this happening moving forward. "issues like this" being: The reporting party not knowing the full scenario prior to reporting and needing to withdraw his accusations later upon realising. They are vastly different because in one report it's someone admitting they possibly broke rules and trying to solve it, and in another it's the realisation that no rules were broken. My main point is that these are not comparable and are in fact a good example as to why context of 2 reports that appear similar on the surface are ruled differently. I'll be saying no more on this, I just wanted to clarify how mine is unlike the previous example given when I was quoted. Back to the topic at hand, of course there's inconsistency to some degree, we're still human and make mistakes. If I ruled inconsistently to something that had previously been ruled differently in the same/similar context then I'd want to know absolutely and would likely even back an appeal against my decision if it was the case. The remedy to these kind of issues has been stated by previous staff members commenting: - You can reach out to the head of player reports Aldarine if you feel a report is being handled unfairly or with bias and they can deal with it or raise it to higher staff if needed. - You can appeal decisions made in a report if you feel it's inconsistent with previous rulings to which a higher staff member will review and come to a decision. Only through those above proper channels, will staff members know if they are ruling inconsistently without knowledge, or will higher staff members know if specific staff are acting with bias or unfairly.
  22. As mentioned previously about case-by-case basis as each report is different and context matters. This report in particular had the reporting party attempt to reach out prior to making the report with no success due to the reported side not giving enough information about the situation via discord. Through the report, said information was made available for the reporting party to then decide to withdraw their report. Unlike the other report mentioned, this wasn't a "we agreed someone messed up and resolved it" scenario, this was more like the reporting party deciding to withdraw the report after hearing more from the other side and retracting the accusations and even humbly apologised for the misunderstanding. I would say they are vastly different examples.
  23. Good luck, curious to see how a potential feud or alliance will look between 2 differently-lead branches of effectively the same gang will look!

For roleplay I imagine! @oskarscotGood luck, I can't wait to see more people driving round crappy vehicles for RP purposes!
  25. Seems unnecessary, you could just make a note in the notes app on your phone. That's what I do and it works a treat
