  1. The current ammo count is way too low. Sharing it between 4 gangs when it's already limited is beyond overkill currently. Do you think waiting for 50 minutes for 20 micro ammo is okay? I'm curious. It doesn't slow down DM at all, considering getting .50s (which is basically a heavy weapon itself) is the easiest thing ever. It kicks like horse legs. Limiting us to basically nothing when we have to provide a 60 member capped faction is generally not okay. The limit I mentioned was limiting the max amount of ammo per gang at 100 and raise the refresh rate, I think that's pretty fair. 100 Ammo is 1 full clip of an AK with a drum mag, that's a single AK and the minimum you can order is 10 AK's.
  2. Exiled, deported, etc. It makes sense RPly in a sense that he's no longer in the city. I get what you're saying and you're correct, but at the same time, do you want me to act like my homie didn't exist? Hell naw.
  3. So I was having one of many conversations about what could help improve the current state of ECRP and a few ideas came up that I wanted to share. Don't get me wrong, I think ECRP is awesome, but no matter how awesome you are, there's always room for improvement. One should always aim high and never get settled in. Keep building, keep improving and keep moving forward. I'll list them without too much detail, just to see what people think about these and perhaps we could start some type of conversation surrounding this. Civilian Roleplay I truly believe that civilian RP is life's blood of Eclipse. We'll always have people who want to RP as Crim and law enforcement but widespread focus on civilian RP is what's going to balance the player base and provide more interactions and RP at a much bigger scale, and I do believe giving those new players a more simple place to belong would serve as the best decision eclipse could ever make. See right now, new players rush Crim because they quickly start to realize, the side jobs don't pay much and the government jobs take almost a week to get a payout, while criminals get that cash immediately along with some proper fun to boot. Here's something I think we'll all enjoy. - Raise the payout on side jobs such as Postal, Money truck, wheat farming, bus driving, etc. Give a base pay for trucking, allowing the owners of businesses to make orders still, but the extra money becomes labor fee. Example, say I make an order for 2500 liters of gas. I may set the payment at $1300, but their base pay could be 500, filling in that rental fee and allowing them more motivation to even do truckers to begin with, without taking too much profit from business owners. See with a lot of businesses, we get hit with a 35% tax and I'll expand on this more. In order to fill 20k liters into a station, it costs 100k flat at $5 stock. Now if I want to make reasonable profit on that, I'd put it at $8, which would then give me a 60k profit every time I sell out. Yet, I have to pay truckers to fill these orders as well, so on top of the 60k, I'm making, $49,600 every sell out if I pay the truckers $1300 per order of 2500 liters. That's only at a $1300 payout to the truckers, minus their own rental fee and tax, they make much less than the $1300 I'm paying them. TL;Dr, it's chump change and I would love to pay them more, but I'm not going to dig too deep into my minimal profits to do so because keep in mind, if it takes me a month to get $1.5m in my business, 35% tax will give me $975k and that will be much less if I dig deeper into paying out truckers even more. Back on topic completely: These side jobs should pay more in order to give these new players and current civilians something to do, knowing it's worth it at the end of the day. The economy isn't being ruined by higher payments, it's being ruined by people who have way too much while everyone else has so little. When new business locations open, who gets them? Mostly older players from an older economy that are already set, buying them up before the price decrease even kicks in on the business. When I sell a vehicle and take a 5% hit, it doesn't hurt me because I know that money will come back to me in a full circle. It hurts the Average Joe who does not have a passive income. - Give government jobs their labor back. When I used to work at LSC, there would be a base fee and a labor fee and every paycheck, I would head over to the poker table and spend my hard earned cash, losing most of the time but winning from the enjoyment I received from being a gambling addict. It got so bad, that LSC threatened to fire me and/or not promote me if I kept gambling; it was a great time. I would be hype to see someone fully maxing their car, because I knew I would take a percentage of that labor into my own salary, immediately. It wasn't too much, but it wasn't too little and the payments were enough to keep me working. I'm a strong believer in "if something isn't broken, don't fix it" I hate to pull the "It's still a video game" statement, but that doesn't make me wrong about it either. I get why payments are almost weekly now, it promotes more realism. Yet ask yourself, "does it promote a more entertaining environment?" if the answer is no, or neutral, then something is wrong. I think automatic salaries were awesome and these should revert back to how they used to be. It didn't hurt the economy and it didn't make you rich. In order to see real money from it, you had to REALLY put time and effort in, but you also didn't sit there starving broke until next week either. It was a great balance and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. - State Government needs work, asap. I think there's so much room to build upon the current State Government. When it was first opened, I was excited and I filled out an application and joined up immediately, but I feel I was mislead. I got bored, stopped working and eventually got fired for it, which is fair. Now is a greater time than ever to give ourselves more realism and fun. Lawyers, judges and business licenses. Currently, PD handles their own IA department and while some people would argue that it's fine, I don't think it is for multiple reasons. I'm not here to debate with you people, I'm here to give you an idea that promotes better RP and see if you'll bite. I think the state government should completely handle IA reports in the future. I'm not saying this because I think PD is incapable of it, I'm saying it because we have a 'state government' that's almost dead and it could be something they're in charge of, in order to give them more to do. Although I wouldn't recommend it, you could take the same people doing IA reports now, place them into a different faction that handles it and boom, nothing changes if that's what you really want. If an officer has an IA report against him, what better time to have a judge, jury and lawyers? If PD is going to house raid someone, what better time to get a warrant from said people? There's so much room for State gov, I can't touch on all of them but I can raise the idea and let you all think. Social security numbers, physical ID's, warrants, bounty hunting offers for contracted bounty hunters, for high value wanted targets. (not a Dead or Alive thing, mainly just alive lol), gun licenses, etc. There's too much lmao Misc suggestions - Organize the clothing options around the stores of LS, create a jeweler and mask shop. You want more realism? Bet, say less. Let's take a lesson from GTA story mode and section out these stores. You want urban clothes? Go to an urban spot. You want luxury clothing? Go to a suburban spot to get them. You want jewels? Head over to the jeweler. You want a mask? head over the mask shop near Vespucci. I think this would promote more realism in itself. You could even add scripts to remove certain clothing items without going to the store in order to press "remove". For example, /takeoffchain. If I'm robbing someone and he has a chain on or a watch, shit maybe both. "Yo ima need all that shit, take that chain off" or /me attempts to snatch his chain. The options are almost endless. Should I take my shirt off for some spicey ERP? /takeoffshirt Ya'll get the idea, I won't go too deep. Minor Crim suggestion (I know some things are probably already in the works, but I thought I'd add this for safe keeping really) - Please give us more ammo on the laptop. Waiting for 50 minutes to get 30 micro Ammo is not the wave, point blank. At least separate the ammo count per official gang, we should have our own stock from our own plugs. There's no reason ALL of us have to share the same overseas connect, that just isn't realistic. Fighting with other gangs to get 30 ammo around the clock isn't fun, it's the absolute opposite. Beyond anything criminal related, this is a genuine issue I feel should be fixed asap. If Irish were around, why would Zetas (Cartel) and Irish (IRA) share the same ammo count? This basically forces friction between official gangs, disallowing us from actually selling guns to people because we get to the point where we HAVE to share all of it with our members for personal use, because it's so very limited, it can't be wasted on anyone else. That's reason enough for official gangs to war with each other, because if they die off, we get more ammo. That should not be a reason to go to war and we've refrained from doing that, but for how long can that mentality be kept up? For the love of all official gangs, please fix this laptop system. Before any criminal updates, this needs to be #1 in my opinion and I'm sure we can agree on this one without too much trouble. I'm not saying there should be 300-400 ammo up at one time, you could separate each gangs ammo reserve to 100 or so and raise the refresh rate. We don't care, as long as we're not battling for ammo with other gangs. To all the PD and unofficial gangs reading this. Keep in mind, this also effects you. Ya'll want more guns at a reasonable price? Think about it. PD, do you want to see less large scale fighting in the city? Think about it. Official gangs should have the opportunity to be more passive for the sake of the community. No one wants us roaming around like terrorists, so please provide us with some content. Selling guns is part of that, would you shoot and rob a loyal customer? We want the ability to sell high grade drugs, imported from the laptop. We want to sell guns, we want to provide much more to Eclipse, but there's only so much we can do without some help along the way. We've reached the point where we're official and we want to be the symbol of organized crime. There's no reason we should have to rob drug labs and do petty stuff like robbing stores and cooking drugs, when we could be the plug for everyone else. You want some high end, potent coke for parties? Come to Zetas and buy it. You want some high end, wild ass heroin straight from China? Go hit up Triads. You get the point, I'm sure we can all agree on something. Allow us official gangs to stay out of the way and oversee others in our lane, like we're supposed to. We could do so much more and take away so much less.
  4. Suck my ass from the back, no cap.
  5. I used to be like you bruh. I watched shit like kymatica, Baraka and I was on my spiritual, "fuck the 1% shit". While I agree that there's corruption behind every society and there's very few people who own way too much of the wealth, no one really cares. You're no che guevara and if you were, you wouldn't be here. Society is built off of corruption and it's been that way since forever and nothing will change that.
  6. Thanks mane. The Zetas operate as one unit when all is said and done but we do have other groups and families within the organization as an entirety. Some people bring in groups of 3-4 people with them sometimes less but ultimately, we aim to teach individualism. Everyone makes their own path within the organization and they're responsible for their own reputation on the streets, rather than using the Zeta name as a means to shortcut that ordeal. You'll rarely see huge group RP, as it feels forced and less organic, rather than allowing your personal character to naturally ride into the RP. We've had plenty of cliques in the past as well, ranging from Sicarios to Uk-Tac1, Zet Dogs, etc this is nothing new. We don't want people who are going to use our name as a handicap to ensure their safety, we'd rather absorb people if that make sense.
  7. Best of luck boys, always loved the vory's and the people in it. Much respect
  8. (Ima stop posting cuz ima just end up roasting everyone) Delete this please, I'm too ghetto for forums. I will say this though. For months people bitched and moaned about how all of the official and non official gangs hold hands and how we should fight and the moment we do, people complain again. I'm honestly kinda dumbfounded, not gonna lie.
  9. Edit: (Unneeded post)
  10. When you brand yourself as a criminal faction, you bare the weight of your empire possibly crumbling at some point in time. Nothing is forever and on a server that's based around RP, if you talk that shit you have to walk it as well, otherwise you get exposed. As a criminal enterprise, your goal should not only be financially secure, but to also maintain a level of control, monopoly and build/maintain beneficial and long term relationships. For legal jobs you have plenty of factions and options. You have LSC, Bayview, MD, PD, SD, DOC, DCC, etc and when you choose to pick the criminal portion of ECRP, you are making exactly that, a choice. We've had territories in the past before and the result remained the same during times of war. It didn't just start and end at the capture point, but it did serve as a time where you had to fight your hardest. When you have time at your disposal, it's best to not waste it. Make money, form relationships, build build build and build and never stop building. If you roleplay as a small street gang and you're fine with that, that's an okay choice but if your ambitions are even higher, a small street gang can turn into a small militia in the future. You're not limited to your initial RP and with time, things change. You can mold with the times or build around it but again, those are all choices. -1 Simply because the more restrictions you add onto something, the less freedom your RP has and when that happens, RP decreases and you're left with "This is how you do it, so only do it this way" I cannot get behind that. I can also tell you, boredem isn't even 30% of the reasons Zetas went to war with wanted and the fact that people are even mentioning something like that says a lot, especially when the reasons were given to you in immense detail during an IC meet. To act like we have no reason is honestly insulting to say the least.
  11. +1 400k for a stack of 10 is just too much, considering what it offers. 1/4 armor is not worth 40k lmao
  12. I'm sorry but just because you deal with idiots daily, doesn't give you the excuse at all. Criminals have to deal with being reported or threatened to report after every single shootout we ever have. The same thing goes both ways. Just because you deal with some questionable people, doesn't give you the excuse to not look at your own issues and address them. I'm not asking for the highest level of RP, I'm asking for reasonable and less corrupted police work. The by the book, by the law stereotype. We don't have a court system, so by nature you have to be an upstanding person to make on the spot decisions about how long someone spends in prison and it isn't reasonable to ask for better or even more RP during those situations. I think detaining someone, bringing them to mission row and RPing there is great RP for starters. If you want to do more RP and avoid shootouts, work on properly reinforcing situations and dragging the RP to another location. There are plenty of options available to you. Majority of the time, police sit around at the same scene for ages, allowing themselves to get set up on and smoked like a philly blunt. If you know a situation is about to get hairy, get the fuck out of the situation.
  13. I'm so sorry for the double post but my guy, I'm with you on that. Jay and I have personally went to PD and met with high command to discuss issues. Time and time again we've done this. I make these forum posts because while those meetings are awesome and usually comes to some great conclusions, it usually doesn't last long. If anyone remembers from way back when Zetas was first formed, I'm sure you remember when Zetas used to bomb on cops 24/7, all day and how we even got skipped for official because of it and after meeting with PD and discussing issues, we completely stopped doing what we were doing and had a major cease fire for quite a long time. It was at that time that PD mass recruited, started bringing people to DOC using helicopters and got completely beefed up and when that happened, PD decided to go ape shit on everyone. Suppression checks, corruption, swat patrolling, etc. People from our side are ALWAYS down to have a sit down and talk about this shit, even OOC. The hardest part is getting your high command to actually have that meeting. I know this because we've tried many times.
  14. What crawled up your ass and died? The original post stated that both Crim and Government factions have their issues and that still rings to be true. The only thing this post is aimed at is less corruption and more black and white and I genuinely don't see an issue with that. I'm sure people are upset that they got caught but that is not the purpose of this discussion and if you want to be hyper aggressive, especially with that last sentence, you're proving our point. I know criminals have issues, I'm aware of some of the major rule breaks and I'm aware some things can be seen as nonRP, no one is debating or excusing that in any type of way, shape or form. I have zero issues with being caught and I mean shit, most of the time I turn myself in when I'm wanted. PD doesn't need more power, it needs more organization and actual police work. I've seen video after video with you guys running around like vermin while in a shootout, getting exterminated. Focus less time on corruption and more time on being a unified entity.
  15. This is going to come off real toxic but that's not my intention at all, on God but these are the ones I've found, so ignore the memey portion of it. I'm fully prepared to be cussed out and told I have downs and that I should whip and naenae myself back to Africa Palmer very recently: Dishonorable discharge, reinstated, Dishonorable discharged, reinstated.
  16. Yo my man, I just want to touch on how you said reefer isn't corrupt? He dragged me up to a mountain with palmer to execute me after I called an officer a bitch? That' by definition corrupt. It's also corrupt to watch your corrupt detective (Palmer) do anything he desires in the passenger of your vehicle? I explained this all in my starting post and as I said, I could provide evidence if needed. If that isn't corrupt, what the hell is?
  17. No way, that's fucked up bro
  18. I don't see how you can truly compare a server of 200+ people to real life, regardless of role player in that sense. The issue is, when there's a corrupt chief and everyone gets wind of this, something is done about it. The main problem is, most people know about his corruption and nothing is done about it. I don't hate reefer, but this RP you speak of, I've yet to see it from him. The ONLY things I've seen was Palmer in his passenger seat doing 90% of the talking while the chief allowed him to do whatever he wanted, right along side him. No one is trashing reefer, people are speaking on how the chief can be corrupt and blatantly allow corruption on a server with 200+ population and no one to really challenge him on it. No one is upset at getting caught at all. I clearly stated in my post that I was caught and dragged to be executed by both Palmer and reefer and instead, they dropped all of my charges and let me go. What I did was some heinous shit and they just tossed a murderer back onto the streets with no problem. You ignore the corruption because it doesn't effect you, it effects people opposite of your position. I'm just saying, a little more black and white would be nice. I'm surrounded by criminals and yet it feels the same when I'm around PD and I feel like that's an issue that needs to be spoken about.
  19. A multitude of things. From Palmer and Reefer camping chilliad, baiting and shooting at people with a 50 cal, to Palmer and Reefer taking me up a mountain to execute me before letting me go and dropping my charges, to Logan Cross giving me a .50 after when I got out of jail, Jason Steel shooting a Tech 9, there's many more to list and I've videos of it all. As I said, I'm not saying corruption should be removed, but it really shouldn't be so common to the point where it's hard to tell the difference between criminals and PD. I could see Palmer being corrupt, Logan being corrupt and a few others but the Chief? Really? It just feels weird really. It feels like people join PD in order to shoot shit up, rather than actually acting like a cop. There's plenty of officers who are awesome at their jobs and I totally respect but the high command just seems full of corruption. We need more cops like Bacon or Hamilton. Edit: I don't want people to think I'm trashing these dudes because I'm not. I personally loved Jason Steel as an entirety and had some of my best RP with him but I'm just speaking on some things I've noticed in PD overall. Every faction has their issues, both Crims and Government especially. Just for once, I would love to see more Black and White instead of full on grey.
  20. Alright, I get it, it's fun. I imagine being a corrupt cop gets the blood flowing and I'm not making this post to say that they shouldn't exist, let's get that out of the way first. I make this post because of how common it is these days, to the point where it's normal to be a corrupt detective or higher. Corrupt cops exist IRL but in an ECRP setting, it just doesn't work. Let criminals be criminals and cops remain cops, otherwise it's impossible to tell the difference between them. I understand having a few lower ranking officers that do some petty, corrupt shit but when you have most of the detectives AND the CHIEF himself being corrupt, it spreads to the entire department. I have no issues being arrested, especially when I deserve it but only when it's by the books, completely clean and executed like an actual cop. Perhaps you all have different opinions but that's the point of a discussion post, let's hear them.
  21. Just as the title says, I would love to see phone contacts in alphabetical order or the ability to sort them how you please. I think I've posted this before a long time ago but here's another shot
  22. @Mariaaaa Let me live there for free, I have an offer you can't refuse. If you're interested, let me know.
  23. LC was our enemy because of an IC situation they involved themselves in, they had a choice. You act as if we declared war on them, which isn't true, it's the polar opposite. There's no excuse to VDM or DM the bank, you can blame all you want but that's a fact. Gang war is part of RP when dealing with factions but some people can't take it and get upset oocly because they hate our methods of war. We street sweep and I can see how that gets annoying, getting robbed everywhere you go. Yet, that choice was made on their side. Our tactic of war is to humiliate, exhaust you and clean you of everything you own and it works. Yes, people take that OOCly but that's genuinely not our issue and that's also a fact. When gangs lose a war, their first reaction is to DM the bank and quit the server? Sounds about right. We're not a low level street gang with pistols, knives and bats. In war, you're fighting Cartel level war and that's with AK's, Machine pistols, SMG's, Shotguns, Micros and rarely carbines. My point is, you can't expect our method of war to be clean, it's messy by nature. I think people misunderstand what RP is and that shows with the things people say. You mentioned how you talk to someone before you rob them, good on you but is that seriously even RP? If my intention is to rob you, I'm running up, gun to your face, empty your pockets and dip off. Realistically, that's how a robbery takes place. In no world ever do you see this HUGE dialog before someone's robbed, that is not only silly, it makes no realistic sense. I've had people GENUINELY OOCly upset saying shit like "These guys act like they're a fucking gang irl, fucking nerds" which is odd because on an RP based server..that's a considerably good compliment. You've had bad experiences with us because we don't fit your opinion of "Good RP" but again, that's subjective. The amount of ground work that we put in and content we've provided the server speaks for itself. You don't have to like us, or even enjoy our way of RP, that's not required. I just find it weird that most of these opinions come from people who were on the losing side of wars, rather than the neutral. I've also been on the other side as well and I can honestly say, from the VERY start of my time on ECRP, I've yet to been officially robbed. Shot and injured? Yes but I've never been held up and my shit completely taken. Anyone that knows me can vouch for that statement. I've worked for LSC for a really long time here and this was back when LSC got shot up almost 24/7 and even still, I was safe. I have no idea what you people are doing wrong, but fix it.
  24. I hate to do this to you but considering your forum signature mentions how you were a general in LC. I have to say, you seem to have a lot of negative opinions when you personally were part of a gang who was notorious for shooting cops 24/7, DMing the bank and VDMing. I think people tend to forget that we're hosting players of ECRP just like everyone else. We built the tavern in order to provide completely legal and safe social events. The 247 store serves as a place to hang out, listen to music and chill. Most of the money that's spent in that store are from the people standing outside of it. I don't know where you're from but in my city, people sit outside of some 24/7's and sell drugs, roll dice and do all types of illegal shit. Just because you're an enemy of ours icly and you don't get the result you want, doesn't mean you have to be upset about it. I search these forums often and it's literally the same two guys, every single time with these types of posts. What have you personally done to provide the server with better RP? You can complain for ages but you have to also practice what you preach. What efforts have you honestly made to boost anyone's RP experience other than complain about how someone's RP is bad when you're their enemy ICly. My point is, I get it. You want it your way, but unfortunately it's the other way. LC
