This wouldn't need to be scripted, just hire a faction or business that provides these services.

Shadow - Discounts & Giveaways Being a business of businesses, the Shadow Corporation must continually build its presence and reputation with our citizens and other businesses. This often comes in the form of giveaways, deals and offerings of free or cost effective services to businesses and clients who are looking for them. In October, we gave away a 'Halloween' van to celebrate the month to a lucky winner, this month we're offering discounts on all Atomic tires to make sure every customer has a new set of reliable tires for the winter months. As we grow, we continue looking for talent to help grow the business and have had more demand recently in our legal and mediations services.

Shadow - Negotiations Everywhere you go, there's always a deal to be had, a negotiation to be done, whether it between two parties or, one party and the company. Networking and connecting with other businesses especially is important, to each. This helps, naturally garner a level of respect for each others business. It helps businesses get to know each other, what they expect, their goals, what they do and often how they do it. Everything is not perfect however, despite how hard Xoza tries to make things happen the way he likes them to, clean and efficient, they don't always go perfectly planned. Sometimes one or another can't always offer the best of services or prices, mistakes can be made and deals can be broken. But in the end you should always look out for your customers or ally's interests. Good business, especially between businesses counts on making connections, whether that connection leads to a deal or not. The fact you made a good attempt, will help them understand you're there to help and open to talk.

They can be because they can be impounded. That's really the only way to 'park' it..

Changing to +1 What would this benefit though? Maybe a stamina system could be implemented?

The Community's general involvement in crucial staff-related decisions.
Xoza replied to CalvinKlein's topic in Archive
Greetings @CalvinKlein, I reformatted your text, because it was difficult to read or understand, but I didn't change any of the wording. I don't think we need to bold the entire thing. Please also consider better formatting and sentencing in future posts as well, I only found three sentences. The community is very much involved in the outcome and choices of what happens on the server and how it affects players. Much of the staff have been here a long time and have seen a lot. Everything that is decided is often discussed with these staff members who have connections with every bit of involvement on the server. From my experience, no 'crucial' choices are made without discussion or without good reason. If there is something that has changed, that you don't like, it's likely because others have abused it, causing staff to review and look into an adjustment. Everything happens for a reason though. -
+1 Not a bad idea... higher risk to loose the table, but that risk is rewarded if you can protect it.

+/-1 NCZs should remain clear of vehicles at all times, they are temporary parking areas and players abuse the fact they are NCZs to not have to park the vehicle. I agree though, since RVs can't be chopped.. why can't they be parked?

+1 to more civilian jobs! -
I'm all for a mayor for the month, or mayor for the quarter where they can sway city decisions. Not sure about president though, we're seen as a 'state' within the United States. Maybe a governor? +1 to adding more government RP. -1 to adding more taxes...

When I did a lot of criminal-civilian jobs, I did a lot of math to determine the most profitable ways to make money. Obviously criminal activities should make just a little more than civilian, to weigh the higher risk with higher reward. Can anyone provide actual numbers? Document all purchased ingredients and how much they are. Cook for 1 hour constantly at one table. Go sell. Do math. Get hourly rate. If the total hourly rate is below 8k, then +1 to this suggestion.

Targeting and robbing police for any reason is unrealistic and shouldn't be something that's promoted just like baiting emergency response, being against the rules. Police are primarily a reactionary force, there's always a reason they do what they do, whether you know what it is or not. Criminal elements should avoid police like the plague. Police do walk into dangerous situations, because that's their job, they are "Law Enforcement". Providing safety, security and ensuring the preservation of life and being able to reduce the possible threat to others, will cause any RL officer to get involved. The mere presence of an officer in an area should be a deterrent and put anyone doing anything unlawfully RPly on edge, despite how many officers there are. Every encounter however is situational. I don't agree that this could be something that is used as a "lets get back at them" kind of thing this could lead to. As for the suggestion itself. The only thing you can't loot from police are firearms. Police still often have food, water, clothing, radios and other things with them or in their vehicles. So at this time, yes, you can rob/loot cops but you should do so responsibly and within the rules. Risk/Reward is much higher when involving police and they are often in public areas. On to the expansion of the idea... +1 to the idea of a detriment / gain from a police engagement. Criminals should be able to /takeguns from police, if their hands are up, and it would 'remove all firearms' from the officer. (this would not 'give' you a firearm however) Criminals should also be able to /disable a cruiser, disallowing the officer to use /pw from that cruiser for 5 minutes. (this can also be done by just stealing the cruiser). The risk result could be, if a cruiser is disabled, they may have to pay motorpool for new remote reactivation key codes before the 5 minutes.

I was just going to post... that I sent 50 water bottles to test that it goes to the right location, but found out later, that the owner of that location, got nothing. Then I saw your response... lol. What address did they go to? Any chance you have any left?

I like the idea of a message as you enter the vehicle, but it shouldn't stop the player, due to potential abuse. "The last driver of this vehicle was last online '##' minutes ago." A similar message is sent when you enter a government vehicle, telling you who the cruiser belongs to, or if it doesn't. Seasoned players check #crash_logs and they also often realize a player has crashed if the car is literally in the middle of the road.

Archived, lockers are now available to all law enforcement. Either way, the missing of items would be considered IC. The player is responsible for the items on them and how to communicate with law enforcement. You can always ask officers to put your held items into a vehicle or in an evidence locker.

Shadow - Interns & Ideas Recently a new intern was hired and as usual, Xoza likes to regularly check with new employees and review new ideas, information they've come across, and see how they've come with a new perspective on life in the city. The company loves innovation and ideas and are always looking for new opportunities, but they've also had experience with some that were not very lucrative. While talking with the employee, he had to talk to him about caution of things that were 'too good' to be true, in addition inform him of past deals and observations that didn't go as planned. But, there have been some amazing investments as well. Either way, every idea will always receive the same, quality discussion and analysis to make sure it is beneficial and the risk is worth it.

Allow the oil pumps to produce more oil and open up more pumps.
Xoza replied to Rick_Wesson's topic in Archive
+1 to opening more pumps. -1 to increasing production. There should be a limit to production, but it could be refined by the amount of oil turned in and players mining. It shouldn't be a place to bank a ton of money. I'd actually like to see mining get adjusted a little, to spread out the workers. -
Really depends on how you wire money. I don't know of anyone who's paid a wire fee for years now. Transferring from one bank account to another is as easy as having a name, and clicking a button.

Odd... @NBDY would you be able to check this as it's part of a system you added? There's a lot of items I mail myself, but I haven't been aware that people aren't getting them.
