+1 I'm on board with this, but also for me, car washes are great for 3 minutes when your car gets dirty af again within 2 km. It just nulls the point of a car wash when it gets that dirty that quickly. In conjunction with this, I'd love it if there was a way to alter the GTA code that sets the dirty layers and defer the distance or time driving to be much more than that. This way people going to car shows can arrive with their cars clean, people can enjoy their cars being clean much longer, people will actually want to use the Car Wash in the city, or use the services at one of the three mechanic shops. While I agree, setting a fixed price at the mechanics shops is needed, I think there's also a re-working of how quickly cars get dirty that needs to be changed as well.

+1 to this as well.

@okt4yWas your issue resolved?

Either way, there is no way to delete characters. Sorry about that.

While having evidence is fantastic, I think that it is highly unrealistic to expect players in this game to be able to be able to save footage from their interactions. If you are going to be making a forum report, then it is your responsibility to inform those involved to save their POV's in a timely manner. We should not expect people to have 10+ GB of storage space for footage, or an ever ending stream through OBS/Streamlabs from their day. Not everyone has a great PC, not every one has copious amounts of storage on their hard drive, nor does everyone run graphic cards that are powerful enough to not interfere with their gaming experience. I think forcing this is not something that should be done at all. The other thing we need to take in account is location. Not everywhere in the world has fibre internet, or gigabyte or high speeds. So uploading longer videos may not be feasible for them. In an ideal world, yes absolutely I agree with you. However, we don't live in that ideal world. Something that could be looked into is an implementation server side where a POV can be made and saved for mod+ to fetch, but that will be a massive server strain. Thinking akin to Valve's Demo Viewer for Counter-Strike 2. Reference of average user hardware per Steam March 2024 Regarding punishing players for not providing their POV, I don't foresee there being a world where this will be done. This, for the reasons I outlined above, is unfair to that player. Is it annoying that we can't get all sides of the story, yes, but that's what appeals are for.

Hi there, despite your use of AI to generate this query, we do not delete characters at all. You're welcome to buy another slot for 500 credits in the F6 menu.

A non-emergency line would honestly be ideal for all factions, MD/SD/PD. This is something we've been advocating for, for a long time. It makes a ton of sense, and even if you preface [NON-EMERGENCY] in your 911, depending on the Officer, you can still be subjected to IC consequences for this. I can't speak on the speed traps portion. I know it used to be a big thing when I was much more active, and if it is still on-going, it must be when I'm heads down on something, or when I'm not online, so I'll have to take your experiences on that one as valid reasoning.

This is not in any way an accurate statement at all. Impound is not something that LSPD in any way shape or form ignores because we dislike the activity, and the RP quality/variety is always dogshit. It, like MD's roadworkers fire calls, are low priority regarding call hierarchy. It has been for the year and a half I've been in PD, and it has been before my time on this server. It's not "No one wants to come to impound" but more so "gangs are shooting at each other" or "someone at burgershot looked at me funny, so I smashed him with a bat" which starts a massive headache, or responding to house robberies, store robberies, atm robberies, you get the picture. The thing that people constantly fail to see is that it's not that PD doesn't want to come to impound, it's we get side-tracked with more important calls that come in. It's a double-edged sword. You are at impound, want a car out, we don't arrive on time. So, we prioritize impound calls, but then you're making a 911 call because some person shot at you and killed your friend, and we don't respond in time to investigate. Lose-lose for PD in either case. We see the calls coming in. We request a free unit to respond. They make their way there, but if they are enroute and pull off, there's a reason for it, and it's not because it's "not an activity they enjoy", nor is it because "the RP quality/variety is always dogshit." The conversation surrounding whether the devs make it automated or not is on them to decide the amount of work and effort it is needed to execute on. The relocation of the impound lot in the city was done because of the mapping updates that the Mod Team has been working hard on for many months to provide a fresh re-skin of the city and make it more enjoyable for everyone in the future.

Agreed entirely. I would love to not have to need a mod+ to do vehicle RP and such, or like a way for detectives to get the ID of the deceased to run a /ldo on them to try and piece together a scene. The thing is, unless it happens near CCTV 9/10 homicide scenes fall static due to lack of script supported evidence.
-
Give detectives chance to access recent events of doors/cars/tools/was in the field of camera We already have this capability, however some things like vehicles, are scriptly limited, and require moderator+ intervention Make LEOs loose their weapons when they die No thank you, this just points to having more random shooting of cops on sight just for their weapons. Let basic units have only sidearms (like IRL) and a shotgun in the trunk (with timer to get it out) I can tell you haven't played an LEO character yet. There are already IC protocols and procedures in place for this, that this is not necessary. No more timers. Make swat teams heavily armed but they would have a higher respond time (armored cars) to get to the scene They already are the only heavily armed division. However, they do not always play at all hours, which makes this kind of a moot point. Paying for lost guns No thank you. If we are paying for our own guns, armor, etc, then we should be getting an MD kickback where every arrest we get a fixed amount. Every citation issues, we get a fixed amount. Every gun we collect, every count of drug we collect, we get a fixed amount. And all of this comes from the person we are arresting, like how the $500 comes from the Player when they are taken to the hospital. That's not going to happen, and people will get pissed off even more. LEO used to drop weapons before, and there was a reason this was removed and now weapons from official factions are locked. Add a rule about realistic driving for LEOs - realistic pits, not crashing into suspects cars Again, showcasing not having the appropriate experience playing LEO, there are already protocols and procedures. 200 km/h, or 125 mp/h is "not-realistic" for speeds, however, it is. You claim that cops drive like crazy and crash cars into suspects, provide evidence of that, or make an OOC IA report with LSPD or LSSD, as that is not something that happens. There's also desync in this server which can cause for accidental crashes, however this is all IC and not OOC regulated outside of certain NRP or VDM rules. PD and SD are NOT exempt from any NRP or VDM rules despite what one might think. And pitting at only 120 km/h or 62 mp/h, that's barely US highway speeds. Real life pursuits are a bit quicker than that. It's about ending the chase as safely as possible, and someone going 200+ km/h (125+ mp/h) is putting a hazard to civilian lives RPly and physically. Disable "repairing cars" by despwaning the old one and spawning a new one Do you know how bad the desync is on this server? There's no NPC cars, so you have people flying at 220+ km/h down the main city streets, or cross sections and smack right into you. Great your shift is over and lasted 5 minutes because you are now scriptly inable to deploy another cruiser. Or, you're at a traffic stop, the suspect in front of you shoots your tires out because they don't like you giving them a 2nd degree speeding ticket, and now you can't "repair" your cruiser, and are done for the day. Great RP to be involved with. Promote using only one car during the shift and not spawning despawning cars during chases/when they come to mission row (it doesnt work that way IRL) See above, this was just duplicated but to include only pursuits. Add actual dispacher possition This used to be a thing on the server, but was removed. All in all, a lot of this is "we want realistic RP", but you need to ask yourself, where is the middle ground of a game vs realistic RP, and when it is RP for all, and not just wanting RP for yourself? These suggestions have been brought up countless times before, and none of these are implemented. You want to see the overpowered LEO's? Come play on the server between 01:00 - 07:00 during the weekdays. I welcome you to see these overpowered factions dealing with multiple gangs during these tough hours. The key thing to all of this is balance. Things are in a decent spot here. I encourage you to join PD or SD and see how things work from their side. See all the rules and protocols and procedures that we have to align ourselves with, and you'll see it's not so black and white.

I actually like the storms as it really breaks up the game a lot. I think if there is a way to reduce the sound of the thunder and wind, I'd be for it, but I'd like to keep the duration the same.

+1 Add an LSEMS flag, and a DOC flag. More importantly add a Greece's flag

Whatever happened to the new Flecca Banks?
SquirtleSquad replied to quixotic's topic in Criminal Suggestions
In all honesty, I thought I was going crazy when I noticed hole in the wall near Lower Power Street came back, and that was something with my game, but I didn't even think to see the other things added, like extra banks, were reverted to before this update. -
Weazel is unable to access CCTV cameras scriptly... why?
SquirtleSquad replied to Demonmit1's topic in Civilian Suggestions
You can't pull out a sniper rifle because it's an admin spawned asset as there is no actual camera asset that's available or implemented. Not really something to compare it to. Gaining CCTV footage for something that was say used in a crime ends up being evidence requiring News casters to obtain said footage released by the Police for citizen visibility to assist with the case, or if those involved are already apprehended. -
Weazel is unable to access CCTV cameras scriptly... why?
SquirtleSquad replied to Demonmit1's topic in Civilian Suggestions
I'm going to -1 this because it makes no sense why a News Corporation would have any access to CCTV footage at all. News companies in the US only get and use footage that is released to them from Law Enforcement, and they cannot just go into a store and ask the shop manager for the CCTV footage for a news story to cover on TV or in a news article. -
I actually like this idea a lot. You can even adjust the "lore" that this guy is apart of a group of people who are life sentencers, the ones who "RPly" run DOC internally as inmates, and they've built up a sort of "internal treasury" that's inaccessible to anyone.

Display the current radio freq in UI
SquirtleSquad replied to Malinq's topic in Implemented Suggestions
You can use the myfreq to check what frequency you're on -
Issue/bug you are reporting: Blackjack tables, the dealer is pulling in 20's and 21's way too frequently after the restart to limit the available cards to a single deck. There have been instances where the dealer will get 21 4 - 5 times in a row. Expected behavior: While a Casino will always weigh in favor for the house, the odds here are extremely one sided. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Just play the game

This is still an issue. Bullet casing do not show any fingerprints even if you unload your gun and reload it without any gloves on
-
This has been adjusted in the month of December. The reward was increased, the time to extract was reduced, and the chance for PD to be called was also reduced.

Criminals who shoot and kill cops also go away for life, and aren't released after "3 years" or 3 hours. You gotta take the level of realism to a certain level. The other thing is we are all typing which for some people can be slow and take time. So some RP can be rushed through to ensure your RP is not stolen or cut short for you. We also, per server outlines, cannot /cpr until the confirmation from /do is complete, so there is a lot of different aspects where people can ruleplay, delay, or just not want to respond appropriately.
-
-1 So here's the thing. We have a few minutes to extend your life, whether that's MD or PD. With anyone with a BLS kit, as mentioned above, the script and intention is to keep you alive, not completely fix your wounds. With MD, the same thing holds true with the /stabilize command. A newly trained EMR or EMT is basically not going to have enough field experience to fix you there, but enough medical attention is provided to stabilize you for transport to the Emergency Room where there, they'll fix you. The thing is, people can either delay, or stall out on providing /me's and /do's so that either they get NLR'd from say a shoot out, or just for some reason tab out not focusing on the RP they have at hand, because they just want to die for whatever reason. The other thing too, is that if you're at a scene with say 5 people shot down, the amount of /me's and /do's will flood the screen. Adding that much level of RP depth is going to get lost and you're going to have people standing around waiting for something that the receiver missed, and then getting a /pm Can you please respond to my RP. This is another 30 seconds taken off the chance to extend your life. This is a roleplay server, but not every LEO is a real life Police Officer, and not everyone in MD is a real life Doctor. We're just roleplaying as one and doing the best we can with the documentation provided for us to help keep some good level of roleplay.

Increase the speed limit on citybee bikes on the highway
SquirtleSquad replied to YasinByn's topic in Archive
-1 Leave them as is. Also, making them slower will prevent players from being able to go up hills. 80km/h is a good speed for it. -
Yes it can. Cooldown isn't in alignment with the time you're tackled. One person can perma tackle another. The thing that was fixed was cancel animation which still holds the tackle script, and the pressing B to insta stand. However, I think there's a pending patch to fix this further, unless I misread the Bug Reports
