Paintball Arena

Adding an area for players to be sent to a "pre-designed" area for players to utilize any weapon offered in-game, where you can be in either singles or a team setting. Teleporting them to another VW away from the general masses. This would be a good way for players to work out any beef they may or may not have in a controlled setting.

i have suggested this idea already they rejected it because they want people to "roleplay" all i see is people working their ass everyday making money to buy stuff then work again

it would be nice to have paintball arenas, there are players in the server who look for action and shooting but not into criminal life and paintball is the right place, i remember back in the days i played samp and had really good time in paintball areas practicing aim getting rewards from wining or giving out rewards just for fun, competetions and more

other players would suggest you to play on dm servers, we dont want dm servers we want to improve eclipse.

there are players in the server who look to have fun and rp and not to make money and rp, players who have everything they ever wanted are losing interests because they are lacking of action they want to do different stuff than working.

yeeaaaah, I've been in the arena all the time back in GTA San Andreas, it could be done ICly, IRL we have arenas with color guns so we'll assume that we're not getting killed, we're getting color shots!

-1 this is a server to roleplay and not just to PVP. GTA Online has exactly what you're looking for.
As much as I love shooting people I don't think it would be a beneficial addition to the server and serve no rp purpose

Or gamble for money this way with wager matches? :) But if implemented it should maybe have unique personalised cooldown to prevent spamming it. Or a global one for the entire arena perhaps?

You could also make a minimum payment to enter so people won't spam it as much perhaps either?

+1 I don't think it has anything to do with "Go DM/PvP" Maybe you're mad after getting dumpstered all day and you wan't to go blow off some steam at the arena. As mentioned could be fun aswell for wagering. To not have people grind it all day make it have a cost/CD of some sort.

Paintball is something we do IRL to blow off steam. Why would it not work here? Thus, if it happens IRL it must be rp

In this post HaminLord points out that Civ RP is lacking, I'm basing my argument here on HaminLord's post in the linked thread.

While you're right that paintball is arguably non-rp, it can encourage RP and would be beneficial to encouraging Civ RP.

Most of what a player has to do is work which is boring. By adding paintball you're adding a social interaction in those friends can RP going after a hard day at work to relieve the stress and increase enjoyment.

You could also make friends while in a paintballing arena which can increase in-game interpersonal relationships and later encourage those new friends to RP something else somewhere else in the world. These sorts of interactions can seem non-rp or dming on their own, sure, but if you look at the potential benefits in the big picture then you could have a server that people thoroughly enjoy and will want to return to time and again.

It will also open up other potential "mini-games" if you will, or other interactions that can lead to RP outside of the feature itself.

In summary, this sort of feature can enhance an otherwise boring RP if all you can RP is work and criminal activity. A lack of things to do in the real world often leads to crime (the most deprived areas tend to have a higher level of crime), therefore, if you apply that to an RP world then adding interactive social features could reduce criminal RP (which, I've read on other threads, people are getting bored of) and could then enhance Civ RP. This idea is something to consider rather than instantly dismiss as dm or PvP.

+1, agree with everything the above said, as well as it gives civs access to a section of the base game they wouldn't usually have access to

+1 this has been suggested countless times this would bring a lot of fun to the server!, also a great way to practice shooting and getting use to desync and your internet ping
