Thoughts on the addition of "meta"/"endgame" vehicles to credit shop?
Jett_J replied to Victus's topic in Discussions
People won't spend money on cars that aren't meta unless they do it for character lore. It may feel unfair that someone can spend money to buy something rather than grind like you did but that's how a lot of games work . -
+1 the economy is not the same as before and most people pay 35% tax on their salary too so if you make $6k/hr, then you really on get 3.9k/hr. I disagree with Oli when he says people like mechanics don't deserve salary increases since you just sit around until a customer needs help. If anything that's a part of the reason players should be compensated more. No one wants to sit around and do nothing for extended periods of time and make a like 4k an hour doing it. LEO jobs especially deserve more than what they get right now considering we have to do extra paperwork multiple times a shift, and there is a lot more expectations to do your job correctly. Also, a lot of the paperwork is done when you aren't even logged into the game. Legal faction workers have very few ways to generate money aside from their salary so I think there does need to be an increase.

Date and time (provide timezone): 24/DEC/2023 Character name: Jett Jones Issue/bug you are reporting: If someone resists your cuffing attempt, you get stuck in the cuffing animation until you do /anim. This only happens sometimes. You can tackle people while cuffed. Expected behavior: The cuffing anim should cancel when someone successfully resists handcuffs. I'm not sure if it's intended to where you can tackle someone while handcuffed or not. But it makes it very easy to tackle and stomp people out. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Try to cuff someone and have them resist. Get cuffed and tackle someone.

Id like it if we got rid of the names on the right side of the screen. It doesn't make much sense to have it and it can just be used for metagaming since you will know who is talking as long as you have them aliased and don't even know what that person actually sounds like.

A chicken burger would have to be ground chicken formed into a patty. A chicken filet in between two slices of bread (buns) is a chicken sandwich.

Yea pretty much

I would love this to be implemented. Having Weazel use sniper rifles for cameras breaks immersion and causes confusion. Not sure if RageMP allows for this change, but it would be a huge improvement.

This is going to come off as cop bias but there is no regulating something like this. The result will be more reports against criminals from the LEO side and more punishments for DM. Ambushes would likely become standard for any LEO response to robberies. I can already see cops getting ambushed responding to simple ATM or store robberies from this. I think it will completely change the intention behind store robberies too. The objective would not be to make money from the store but rather have multiple people in or around the store ready to ambush the first cop that shows up, take their guns, and dip. Also "intercepting" LEO shipments is just going to be the money truck/airplane event every single time. Yeah, cops have nothing to lose in terms of assets but they also have nothing to gain from winning a gunfight other than maybe an adrenaline rush. I'm also fairly certain it is impossible to get OOC Corruption to steal weapons as a cop and even if you could, the consequences of getting caught are getting instantly fired and now your character is no longer a cop. Not worth lol. Since SD and PD are reactionary factions, to counteract these behaviors, cops will be wearing heavier armor and stacking up more, both of which will make general crim life tougher. I know many people who play mainly on the crim side don't like that cops don't lose anything, however, criminal players have exponentially higher potential to make money. LEO RPers are stuck at 5-8k per hour no matter what which gets taxed 35%. This isn't a cops and robbers server where we want to reward either side for killing each other.

I like the idea but idk how it would work on this server. Like mentioned, alias already defeats this and the fact that everyone kinda knows each other except for newer players. Also, if it gives you a random name that has random charges then that "random" user would have to have charged placed by real people on the server or else it's too easy to conclude that's a fake name. You would also be driving a car that has a different name than the license which automatically raises suspicion. If you get a real persons name on it, that is again very to easy to identify and that can seriously screw people over if you do manage to fool an officer to place charges consequentially putting warrants out for the wrong person.

-1 It's unfortunate if people are using XP when deciding whether or not to rob someone, however, I think there is quite a bit of benefit to it. Often times when someone is having a hard time with doing something RPly/scriptly I will check their XP and see they are newer and that will make me want to help them more with those things. I don't want to try and explain /me and /do to someone who gives off the impression they are new but have actually been around a long time.

-1, What happens when they get broken out and never go to jail but now their time is going despite never going to jail? There are also some people that make their arrest take as long as they possibly can by ignoring taser effects and constantly running. Even if you RP grabbing them when cuffed they will try to constantly RP breaking out of your hold after the taser effects wear off. Yes we can report it but then we are in an admin sit while and staff member lectures them over RP standards. The majority of the arrests don't require the suspect to sit in the back of the car without being engaged through RP for extended periods of time. If that does happen it's almost certain because it was a large scale situation where multiple people were injured from a shootout. In these cases both sides are suffering. The cops have to organize the cleanup and impounding of all these vehicles and people left from the shooting which nobody truly enjoys, and the suspect SOMETIMES has to wait the same time in the back of the cruiser depending on how many units are available. If the cops are better organized and have resources, they should be able to have one unit transport the suspects ahead of time unless they are high value transports but that's a part of the IC consequences if the crime was big enough to constitute that. I don't think anybody likes having to make a scene take a long time when most of that time is waiting for MD to treat a bunch of people, cleaning up bodies, getting vehicles ready for impound, etc.. but it's a part of the gig for both sides. I think reducing jail times is fine but I don't think starting their time before being booked is the way to go about it.

Sometimes there are overwhelming amounts of LEOs, sometimes there are one or two on the entire server. I don't think Eclipse needs to implement a rule of 3 or anything similar to that. We want everyone to get the opportunity to respond to things. Pretty often we can go long periods of time in the day without any activity so it's unfair to stop people from getting to take part in situations. We don't restrict the number of criminals that are allowed to rob banks and stores etc either. Both sides have to look at their numbers and decide what activities are worth getting involved in. Sometimes there might be a snake of like 10 units on a traffic stop at peak times when nothing else is going on, but that's also the fault of the driver if they intend on evading since they are waiting and allowing all these units to respond by sitting there and not evading immediately.

-1 I like how it is now

ECRP is very faction oriented. Get with the program or fail trying to do your own thing. The majority of the player base likes it how it is right now.
-
I agree with Oli. It's your choice to participate in criminal RP in a small group. A small group has its own advantages and disadvantages so you need to adapt to that instead of try to get the rules changed in your favor and destroy the way factions operate currently. -1

Change the current license suspension system
Jett_J replied to CalvinKlein's topic in Game Suggestions
Just have the license get removed completely every time so you have to retake the driver's test every time That way you don't have to wait 24 hours and there is still IC "punishment". -
Don't remove it, just move it out of the way in the problematic locations.
-
It think it would be cool to be able to hide pistols by dragging it into your inventory and then there would be an animation/action timer of like 2 seconds when you switch it from inventory in the gun slot to prevent the instant ass pulling like Bala mentioned. The same animation and timer would happen when switching from the gun slot to inventory too.
-
Unfortunately I'm not

Money doesn't effect development on ECRP so why not +1 for the people

Remove fingerprints from items on you when you die
