I feel like there should be a notch on the compass in the center to indicate the true direction being faced because right now you can confuse directions like N/NE for example. Current compass: Some sort of static notch to indicate the exact direction:

Actual skill issue if you think it's impossible to get away from. The LAPD and LASD do have helicopter patrols so it is realistic.

I think people don't see the point of the update. These updates are designed to increase the number of interactions on the server and the number of people around. The map is pretty big for our server population so when people are cooking in an RV or house, it makes the server look like it has less players especially since we don't have NPCs. A bunch of new MLOs have been added and they will create new opportunities for criminals in addition to more labs.

I like Ash's suggestion. Similar to how other things such as creating a bolo works, have there be a button that copies a person's criminal record to the clipboard and can be sent to someone via the gov website.

Great update I would also like to see new facial hair options

Limit the options of undercover cars for PD/SD
Jett_J replied to lupicek's topic in Game Suggestions
"It would be atleast a bit balanced if PD would stick with undercover cruisers (buffalo etc.) since you still can tell by that it is PD." Hmmmmm... I highly doubt you'll get any LEO support with this reasoning tbh -

Idk about everyone else but I was kinda disappointed to find out you can shoot a hostage when using /takehostage. I think it defeats the purpose and it can cause issues because everyone knows in the back of their head that the hostage taker can't actually shoot the hostage in the animation which may either consciously or subconsciously influence behavior. I think the hostage taker should be able to shoot the hostage while in /takehostage and it would be a 1-shot thing where the hostage instantly gets put in the downed state after being shot. This makes hostage situations more serious and realistic. Even if the 1-shot suggestion isn't accepted, shooting should be enabled at a minimum.

+1 I don't see why there would be any opposition against this since it's an optional feature.

Modify player speed based on what AP amount they have equipped

Yea you're right. Hitting them with the car is probably more reasonable than shooting them in the back -

+1 only if drive-by tazing is allowed. Otherwise gonna have to resort to mowing suspects down with a gun or car -
The glazing this would cause... There will be people who apply the reduction 100% of the time and those who it apply it 0% of the time and that will determine if you're aliased as "dickhead cop" or "good cop" -1 just reduce jail times. Sitting through the investigations/clean up is just part of the the game.

+1 plus it's mega cringe that I have AIR-1 following me all around the city then calling for a unit to pull me over and give me a speeding citation etc. I don't really care if the helicopter script is "realistic" but balance was definitely not in consideration with this. My biggest gripe is that the helicopter cam can get the speed of your car.

Tell everyone who you are and why you like the server

Make it NRP to Act like burgershots a gang.
Jett_J replied to Quietthecutie's topic in Rules Suggestions
Everyone who isn't a burgershot gang member would agree it's a problem with the people working the job acting like a bunch of piranhas. Yall need to stop escalating to attack people every time someone hurts your cotton candy ego and just do the job or don't clock on if you want to act like a gang member. You can be a criminal if you want but you shouldn't do it while working the legal job. -

+192589325632532136 And you're absolutely right about the burgershot frequency oftentimes being used to discuss criminal activity which is unrealistic. -
We need to stop trying to"fix" cooking. The reason crim RP sucks is because there are limited options. The server just needs new content to keep things fun for the players which it is lacking for everyone. My biggest gripe with criminal activities on ECRP is that there is no depth to anything. If activities had layers to them, they would be more fun and engaging. By depth, I mean that criminal activities should have a sequence of tasks where you need to do one task to be able to do the next part however everything is surface-level and very unsatisfying. I like the idea of adding items that can be achieved by doing X to be able to do Y which is better paying and then doing Y can give you a chance of getting the items required to do Z.

Just wanted to vouch for the Souls. They are a fun group and do a good job maintaining their standards even when dealing with some "bad actors". It's refreshing to see an illegal faction that isn't PVP-focused and has some originality.

Realistically speaking, people don't make bomb threats as often as they do on ECRP because you don't face real jail time and penalties for threats in a game. Realistically speaking, the LAPD and LASD have 10k law enforcement officers each that can easily handle a situation like that without overly stressing resources. Because our in game laws are a watered down version of real life, making a bomb threat carries insignificant consequences that are on the same level as something like failure to comply which means you can force a large proportion of available LEOs on the server into a nonsense situation for almost no real IC punishment

+1, also good when you log in and missed a call/text or are AFK

I suggest making changes to bank robberies to encourage more criminal-police roleplay interactions. It is quite easy to make this possible and would require minimal development or even no development at all. I don't think anybody genuinely enjoys the process of bank robberies on this server. For criminals, it is more of a chore because they need to get the packed cash to improve turf influence or just make money in general while police rarely get any interaction at all because it's always a bunch of offroad bikes that scatter in every possible direction and they can usually only catch one person at most unless they happen to compromise it before the robbery even happens. Bank robberies can have a lot more roleplay if the developers slightly modify the script by extending the time between the alarm and vault breach to allow for police to respond. If developers don't want to make any script changes to the banks, then it can still be done by just adding new bank rules to the server. Suggested rule changes: For criminals: - A valid hostage is required to perform a bank robbery (must be a real hostage that is organically captured). - All participants that entered the bank must remain there until negotiations have begun (to maintain integrity). - Some sort of rule to prevent excessive stalling with a hostage so that LEO can give chase. - Other ideas... For Law Enforcement: - Law enforcement cannot take tires as suspects are leaving the bank unless they have harmed somebody or displayed intent to shoot (pointing guns at LEO etc.) - A reasonable chance to escape must be provided (cannot set blockades and spikes in a manner that would make it impossible to leave the area of the bank without being either completely blocked in or spiked). This isn't to say that you can't use those tools at all, but they need to be used in a way that keeps it fair, similar to how you can't use a vehicle to block the only exit of a building in which there would realistically be more than one exit. - Breaching the bank while still occupied by multiple robbers should be a true "last resort" option that is only done if it is deemed that a hostage/civilian/LEO is in immediate danger and it can no longer be corrected through negotiations. (You could still breach the bank if there are one or just a few suspects excessively stalling). - Other ideas... These rule changes are designed to promote a proper interaction between both sides while maintaining fairness and allowing both sides the opportunity to "get a piece of the pie". Here is a list of benefits this provides to both sides: - #1 and main reason for this suggestion is to make banks a roleplay opportunity because as of right now, they aren't. - #2 slows down the pace of the bank robbery allowing both sides to enjoy the situation and further develop their plans - #3 Gives criminals more time to clear out the vaults increasing the potential earnings - #4 Gives LEO a better chance to catch criminals rather than just clean up the scene. I would like to hear your opinions on possible script/rules suggestions to make it an enjoyable and fair opportunity for everyone.
