  1. This is even more reason to have guns decay. Server economy health is dependent on having money sinks to remove assets and money from the economy to prevent inflation due to the fact that money just spawns in from NPCs or legal jobs. The weapon decay system not only benefits roleplay, but also benefits server economy just by existing and removing guns from circulation.
  2. This suggestion has been implemented.
  3. As was already mentioned by Einhart above, this would not end well for law enforcement, and especially not for criminals. The same way that criminals get upset about losing assets and items when they die or lose a situation, law enforcement would likely adopt a similar attitude. I can tell you for certain that if law enforcement was at risk of losing things they had to pay for, they will care about those items significantly more, which means going WAY harder on crims than anyone does now to ensure their equipment stays secure. Police would become far more hostile and less laid back and you can bet there would be significantly more search warrants and raids if police equipment gets lost or stolen.
  4. I think you are misunderstanding. Everyone agrees the ATM hijacking needed a buff. I still feel that it should remain buffed to encourage criminals to still do the activity. It's just silly though to steal ATMs with a super car that goes 240 constantly. Just address that one issue and the rest is fine.
  5. I am fine with the new changes for vehicle speed and tracking time being reduced. Its nice to see this activity actually being used now. The change I would recommend to make it more balance and realistic is to only allow "heavy" vehicles to pull the ATM out. Vehicles such as kamacho, brawler, trophy truck, terminus, etc. Don't allow sports cars to pull the atm out, or if they do give them a speed or handling debuff.
  6. I believe the reason for including the need for VIP in the pre-requisite to vote is to ensure quality of votes over quantity. Not only does it ensure that only active players are allowed to vote, but more so invested players. If a player is willing to spend their own money on the server for VIP, then it shows they care about the server and want to see it succeed, and their vote is going to mean a lot more than someone who stopped playing several years ago and might not have any clue as to what is currently happening in the server and some of the updates its gotten since they last played. In addition, there are other ways to meet the requirements without spending any money. You get free credits by completing in game achievements or just simply logging in each day for the daily login reward, as well as playing for at least an hour each day. If that was not enough, you can also show your dedication to the server by applying to join the support team and server staff members (support+) are able to vote without having to have VIP active.

  8. Hello! I am the LSPD commanding officer of the K9 division. Our policies for K9 require that officers have proper reasonable suspicion that someone may have guns or drugs on them before we allow K9 to be used to ensure its used fairly for everyone involved. Examples where we would potentially use K9: Someone was seen leaving directly from an armed store robbery and the people in the car match the description of the CCTV camera video footage we reviewed, so we are confident at least one of them has a gun. A group of criminals was seen in the area of a shootout and we pulled over a vehicle that has the exact description and license plate of one of the vehicles seen leaving that area and their car has bullet holes and shot out tires. Examples where we cannot use K9: Someone calls 911 and claims someone else has a gun on them but has no evidence to back up their claim. A group of gang members gets pulled over for speeding but has not done anything else wrong. I understand that dealing with K9 can be frustrating. Just as much as you wish there could be better interaction with it, so do I. I would love to have a server script to support K9, but we have to work with the hand we are dealt. If you have any suggestions to help make K9 better for BOTH sides to enjoy the roleplay surrounding it, I would be happy to hear them and influence the policy directly. Alternatively, if you encounter situations where you believe someone is abusing K9, either submit an IA report with the department if its an IC situation, or let me know if you feel its an OOC problem and I will do what's necessary to handle it directly.
  9. I would only be in support of this if blunts were reworked to either not be so strong in their effect or at the very least had to be smoked several times to properly get the effect. As was already stated above, they are far too powerful currently given they are a full mobile first aid kit that takes effect without even properly smoking it.
  10. For police, the LP being scanned might not be an issue, but you must realize that if people are allowed these kinds of permissions to have "2nd owners" on cars, it will very likely result in the person shown as the registered owner start to get charged with crimes a lot more often as a result of the other "owner" using the car. Example: Owner A (the true registered owner) leave his car with Owner B and Owner B uses it to rob a store. Cops get video evidence that the car was used and was not stolen at the time, then Owner A might get some charges for being an accessory to robbing the store. Long story short, if someone is willing to give their car out to others and make them essentially part owner of the car, they need to be willing to accept the consequences of doing that and could be held responsible for the crimes committed with the car since they willingly gave that car to someone else to commit crimes with.
  11. Sounds like you should have followed orders from the officer and not worn a mask then my guy. Choices have consequences. As for DOC time, its already been reduced about 3 times now, whether through the IC laws and the jail time associated with them or the maximum time caps put on jail time with the script. No reason to lower DOC times any further. If you really don't want to spend the full time in DOC, you can log out and your jail time will go down and you only have to serve the last hour of your sentence ICly in prison. I do agree however that DOC needs some love with more activities to do as well as a buff for the stamps to make them worthwhile collecting. At a minimum, slap that poker table down in the cellblock again so inmates can at least do that.
  12. We don't want tasers to do more damage and injure people because people will continue to resist until injured and then they have to be brought to pillbox over and over delaying the arrest process significantly.
  13. As stated by others, blocking PM's would do more harm than good. PMs should be used to inform other players if you plan to report them, or maybe even try to work out a situation with another player so a report may not be necessary. If someone is PMing you with OOC toxicity, report them. If they are saying very vulgar or extreme things, report it in game and I am sure an admin will assist quickly, as we take OOC toxicity quite seriously. Otherwise, if they are just being obnoxious, just kindly ask them to stop and/or ignore them.
  14. Please update this to the proper bug report format.
  15. I have not seen a single player on the server yet disagree with removing the Combat MG Mk II. Solidarity....delete this overpowered gun and fix the meta.
  16. Many criminal role-players enjoy racing events. There have been entire factions dedicated to street racing and setting up racing style tournaments. I recommend creating events geared towards racing, whether that be legal, or illegal. This type of event would be easier to setup than others and should have lower risk of "getting out of hand" compared to anything that may deal with stealing things or shooting. While criminals can setup street races without the assistance of the events team, having mapping setup, someone to moderate it and maybe even give out prizes of some kind may make it more interesting. One other idea that many players have suggested in the past is some kind of big heist. Setting up something at the main city bank for example where a large scale robbery would take place. This can be difficult without some script support, but maybe admin staff could be used as hostages, bank tellers, etc and also have the event team spawn in some "valuables" for the criminals to steal, and maybe even some interesting get away methods. This concept could be expanded to other types of heists or robberies as well.
  17. Doing something bad and getting banned is absolutely NOT expected. Players are expected to follow the rules of the server and we have a punishment progression system and forgiveness system in place to allow for player's to make mistakes and learn from them. No one gets banned immediately from their first "mistake" unless its something severe such as cheating or Mass DM, which is a choice by those players to do something like that. The only players that get banned are those that refuse to learn from their mistakes and intentionally continue to break rules.
  18. The simple answer is, don't have more guns than you need. You can have as much as you want, but be prepared to maintain them if you want to have a stash. This change encourages less asset focused gun hoarding and encourages more player to player interaction of more frequent illegal shipments and gun deals happening. More time in RP and less time in PVP is a positive.
  19. There is already a system in place to where punishments typically start out as simple warnings for behavior and progress is severity from there. The goal of server admin staff is always to put priority on education over simply punishing. The problem comes up when people are unwilling to change or learn from their past actions and behaviors. I do not believe that the above suggestion will work the way you intend, as they will find ways around this. Additionally, it limits RP and becomes an awkward mix of IC and OOC to restrict people from using guns from some period of time. What would their IC reasoning be for not being able to equip a gun? The current system works IF people are willing to learn appropriately and adjust their actions.
  20. I agree with the above. The interior storage should be balanced around vehicle size. It makes no sense to be able to store a rifle on a BMX for example.
  21. Posting any good RP interactions in the relevant faction RP showcase area of the forums should be encouraged. It would be nice to see more on those posts rather than just a bunch of text. Videos or pictures are great to see to!

  24. I believe the suggestion is to change the rule to disallow swimming during a chase entirely, including the section mentioning the exemptions, at least for crossing small bodies of water. I do agree that swimming sync in RageMP does cause a lot of problems during a chase.
